The ‘Who are you again?’ award
Nominees: Michael Owen, Wes Brown and Owen Hargreaves
After picking up an injury in the League Cup final in February 2010, where he scored a goal in our 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, it was soon revealed Michael Owen would be out for the rest of the season. He’s played a total of 7 games since, racking up 245 minutes of football and scoring 3 goals.
After having a brief cameo which lasted a couple of minutes against Wolves, Hargreaves has vanished again. Any hopes you had of him ever coming back should be put to one side now. It ain’t going to happen.
Wes Brown had a falling out with the boss during the pre-season tour and has started just 5 games since, 3 of those in the league, and played in a total of 9. He’s not injured, where is he?

I last saw him at OT in September running up to a tv camera and slobbering all over it. Haven’t heard too much of him since. Think his name might be Gerrard.
Reckon these three should win a special award for the most injuries in the history of football. Perhaps they could share it around during the year….4 months on each others fireplace……

Michael has said himself hes getting frustrated and I dont blame him he’s behind in a long queue.
Arguement or not Wes deserves another chance he’s been solid for us in previous seasons.
It’s a sad award. Hargo was expected, so I’d give it to Wes. His United career really took a turn for the worse.
It had to be Hargo, though it’s frustrating because he was my favourite player in our squad after Giggsy, Scholes and GNev. I have almost given up on him now- there have been far too many false dawns for me to retain any hope.
Cmon Scott..I remember you saying The manager should believe in him or he will lose all confidence etc etc..Dont be so rude on him mate..Whats wrong in being optimistic ATLEAST till he is officially a United player !!
Wesley Brown, where are you my friend? For you I pine. Rafael owns RB, so I guess that even if you do return to favour, we’ll hardly ever see you again.
Hargo and Owen are a different kettle of fish. At best they are a reflection of the support and care that is Manchester United. Players we target know that SAF will look after them. Any playing time from either of them will be a help for us, no more.
