Daniel Taylor writes for The Guardian about Wayne Rooney’s ability to solve our problems.

Piers Morgan writes for The Daily Mail claiming that we’re still missing the X-Factor.

Rossobianchi reflects on our win at the weekend.

The Mirror is critical of Owen’s celebration against Wigan because it was disrespectful to Liverpool fans. Yes, the same Liverpool fans that have booed him when he played against them since 2005.

The Metro reckons we’re going to swap Carrick for Modric. Honestly.

A popular City forum generally agrees with my criticism of their latest Carlos Tevez chant. I knew it wasn’t just the blues in my local!

any money Fabregas WILL play against us.

    @ The Mirror article.

Loyalties forgotten???? the guy was given a lifeline by SAF and he shows the delight at that by celebrating his first goal for the club in top-flight football and he’s not allowed to do that?? sorry Mr.David McDonnell but your head must be overflowing from dipper shit!! what should he have done?? ran to the dressing room and sent a text message to FSW saying he was sorry?!!!!
    bollocks..

  3. Gudjohnsen says:

Nothing on the ridiculous Carrick transfer (10 million plus Modric, lol)?

Any news on the Vidic incident against Wigan?

  4. Don says:

What piers morgan knows about football can be written on a postage stamp..
    Bloody sucker for bytes…

  5. Don says:

United Bidding for robben 25$ million…Please buy a central midfielder likey Wes Snij..

  6. Costas says:

How dare Michael Owen celebrate a goal with the fans who haven’t called him a washed up has been?

I don’t know if i am older than most here, but does anyone remember how Paul Ince celebrated when he equalised for Liverpool against us? It was a goal that could have been costly for the 99 treble, he celebrated like he won the World Cup, yet no one ever critisized him. Biased much?

  7. Gudjohnsen says:

I hope Robben will NEVER play for us. Besides, we’re not going to buy anyone else, Fergie has been very clear about that.

  8. smithy99 says:

Can’t believe that idiot from the Daily Mirror! Were United playing the dippers on Saturday??? No, they were playing WIGAN you stupid cunt. Has this bypassed his tiny pea brain????

Anyway Owen can celebrate how he wants even if it is against the rat munchers. He plays for us now and he’ll be happy when he scores goals due to all the unfair criticism and abuse he gets. What i’d give to see him scoring and kissing our badge right in front of the Kop End. Priceless!!!

  9. Dakota says:

    @Costas

I dont think MR. McDonnell would remember that because at that time he had his head buried up some dippers ass!!!

  10. 7seagulls says:

can somebody please explain to me how any national newspaper – even the mirror for fucks sake – allows piers morgan column inches? he is 100% fucking clueless

  11. joe_ro says:

That Mirror article is the most contradictory load of rubbish I have ever read. He does mention that ‘In fairness to Owen’ it was against Wigan…err yes it was.

My favourite bit however is right at the end. After slagging off Owen and calling him unloyal to Liverpool, he goes on to say that despite that, he doesn’t think he will carry out the same celebration if he scores at Anfield…

Surely that would mean he IS showing some loyalty.

Ridiculous, and to think these people actually get paid for writing this shit.

  12. Don says:

piers morgan was fired from mirror and now he is paying to write at the Mail..

But he is equally bad as he was at Mirror..

  13. Don says:

What that bloody ass(Mirror Journo) forgot was Ronnie moved on from Portugal and came to England and so he didnot had to face clubs from portugal week in week out..so he was allowed to celebrate his goals in England and When he scored a Goal in Lisbon ,we all knew he wudnt jump around..
Take Owen’s case…He wud play in England..But he wont be allowed to celebrate his goals coz he once played for the dippers..That effectively means Owen has to go through all the season from here on showing respect to the Dippers..

Ahhh,i got one piece of advice for David McDonellll …You can kiss My EPIC ASS…

Seriously Scott wud make a better journo that this pathetich bunch of hypocratic morons…

  14. willierednut says:

I thought david mcdonnell was a united fan.

  15. bigphil2003 says:

Another difference with Ronaldo is that Lisbon treated him well, allowed him to grow, and allowed him to leave when United came calling. Owen was dumped out and the ignored when a free agent by the FSW. He has every right to celebrate with the United fans who have been largely supportive of him given his previous affiliation and recent form.

  16. Stephen says:

Piers Morgan has an obsession with United, every week in that rag he is having a pop at us, our players or Fergie maybe he should look at his own club who hardly play any English players.

  17. Stephen says:

That Mirror piece is a joke.

  18. willierednut says:

Piers morgan having a go at united so wat else is new, this guy is a serious asshole.

  19. bigphil2003 says:

Also, good to see some City fans agreeing with your article on the tevez chant. I also agree with them that “Carlos tevez is a blue, he hates fergie” is a better chant and actually makes sense since he seems completely obsessed with Fergie because he didn’t love him enough. Hopefully he’ll soon realise that no one loves him enough because he’s a great big cunt!

    daily mirror- pathetic rag….

    There’s that man from Argentina,
There’s that twat we all adored,
We’re the team in red and white,
    And we’re fcuking dynamite,
And Tevez is a money grabbing whore!

what an absolute b astard. is there something personal between SAF and him?

  23. willierednut says:

fergie told em he was’nt good enough for the champions.

  24. whitefieldred says:

    Fuck off Piers

  25. Readbeard says:

Why the hell is Piers Morgan writing about football?

Surely there must be some pointless c-list pop-singer buying shoes for him to write about!

  26. manutdchampions2008 says:

Am I on my own but I am getting sick and tired of the word loyalty and people saying players are on 2 much money. let me break it down first loyalty I look through every newspaper journo like martin Samuel and I see him jump from the times to the daily mail where was the loyalty from Samuel, same with McCartney who is now working for news of the world where was their loyalty. What about business people who would turn their backs if another company offered him a better job and a better pay rise. What about fans and the media in general if they were offered a massive pay check would they turn it down not a chance in hell. We see normal people bet on sports the lottery to earn millions what if they were offered a huge sum of money would they turn it down not a chance in hell.

  27. MO7 says:

Mr.David McDonnell? what the heck? has he ever been to school? he writes like a total idiot. my 6 yr old sister can write better reports.

  28. Dani says:

Piers is a great stupid twat. No doubt about that at all.

And I would be really, really, really happy if Fergie could pull Modric or even Sneijder. The later is pure class, but Spurs wouldn’t let him go for the world now…

  29. hurr says:

Piers probably got his head screwed up after being punched too many times by Clarkson.
