I think it’s funny how liverpool are trying to replace alonso. everyone was talking about the impossibility to replace ronaldo. but having a manager like sir alex nothing seems impossible. he realized that he shouldn’t replace ronaldo but adapt the system.
the loss of alonso is certainly less severe than the loss of ronaldo (he was named the best player in the world), but still the FSW has failed to make the necessary changes.

What are you on about off course united need that type of player? yaya toure will solve the big problems the united CM have been facing the lack of a dominating CM. carrick for me is nothing special, he sits way to deep. he does give some quality passing and great at keeping the ball but his overall game is poor, another thing we will never replace scholes but you get another powerful midfielder like toure to go along fletcher and it gives a lot of space for valencia nani to operate down the wings and it will even help Anderson out who just can’t play alongside carrick, it also will help rooney to play further up the field, because he will have 2 CM players in fletcher and toure to destroy space and we can play 442 every game. And rooney will not always be helping the midfield out I am sorry but Carrick when it comes to the big games he is found out.

I will keep saying this hargreaves has been a waste of money he is never fit, I mean ppl moan at carricks price despite the fact carrick to be fair is always match fit most of the time. I would not rely on hargreaves he is more of a reliability then owens time at newcastle. Look at real madrid in the 02/03 season they had 2 destroyers in midfield and 4 attackers. The 4 upfront were allowed to be given the freedom to attack teams, if we are going to make this 4 2 4 formation work to perfection in every game and fergie has fallen out with carrick snap up a toure we will see a huge difference in the big games.
