Gabriel Obertan-Signs are promising.IMO he is talented and will become better than nani(no disrespect to nani but he is 23 and Obertan is only 20 and is already looking good)
Getting Villa and Silva would be great .Both are great players but i think its just a rumour.
Refree at Anfield was clearly influenced by the crowd.Scott ahs already described the refreeing decisions in detail and i agree with them totally

Obertan looked quite good last night but I really can’t see him making teh first team on Saturday. He’ll possibly get a place on the bench. I think we’ll line up like this depending on whether Fletch is fit or not:

Obertan does look good and if Nani doesnt improve then he will be fighting Obertan and Tosic for the left wing spot.

But the second time the media sold Ronaldo to Real I was not only jumping on the david silva bangwaggon i was bounching on it. I never really understand why after the 3rd and final time Ronaldo was signed up by Madrid United never signed him up. But id still love him. Regarding Obertan he looks a superb talent. Not just pace and tricks but has a swagger to his game and a confidence. He also has great balance. He WILL dislodge Nani from that spot who I have to say I have just about given up on now. His rolling around at Anfield after mis controlling the ball when a shot was on at the end was quite pathetic. In my opinion he is never gonna be a United player. Sorry if that upsets some.

Our defence yesterday was terrible. If Barnsley had any idea how to direct a header they could have had 6 goals.
Obertan is a cool player. Very neat and tidy in everything he does. Never really gives the ball away and he’s willing to take on defenders.
Nani needs a consistent run of games. He really is a good player. If he got some confidence from the coaching staff he could really make something out of himself. ronaldo even said he could be one of the worlds best.

I think the way Rooney drops back he’d be a good link up with Villa. More of a supplier for him. Rooney doesn’t play on the shoulder of the last defender which I think Villa does. I think rooney could play in the hole behind him and feed him all day, while still having the ability to push forward to score. Rooney’s got a pretty vicious boot from distance. I think if he was central playing behind the lead striker he could be deadly.
I do think we need a stronger hold up man for Rooney though. Someone like Drogba(I know you all hate him, but he’s got the strength and power that would serve Rooney perfectly) But i don’t want Drogba, just someone like him
Have to agree with King Eric in regards to Nani and Obertan. Nani has seemed to progress backwards since his arrival. I understand the argument that he needs an extended run of games to gain confidence, but why would Sir Alex give him an extended run of games when he shows no sign of improvement, he’s constantly giving the ball away, and constantly making the wrong decisions? Of course, it is very early to say Obertan will take his spot, but this is Nani’s third season in the first team! How much longer are we going to give him? One promising performance by Obertan and we’re already talking about him taking Nani’s spot? What does that say about Nani’s impact on the pitch? Ronaldo’s 4th season at United was his breakout year- can anyone honestly say they think Nani can do the same? Whether you like it or not, he was supposed to somewhat carry the burden after Ronaldo left- provide the creativity and spark on the wing. Unfortunately, I think he’s fallen short of that. Don’t get me wrong- I thought he was going to be marvelous after some of those goals he scored (Spurs, Middlesbrough), but I have no patience any longer and I think Sir Alex might be thinking the same… then again, I’m not RealMadridFan2009, so I can’t read Sir Alex’s mind.

Just been plodding along at a mid level Spanish club. Nearly 29 ain’t he and has never set the world on fire. Also disagree about our defence being shit last night. Thought Wes played well and Evans was superb. Berbatov is excellent at holding the ball up and bringing players in.
Sanj – Yeah spot on mate. We just keep saying “oh he will come good” or “give him a run of games” but how much longer can we give him. Unless he seriously steps it up between now and May he will be gone. Obertan played just one game and we can see the difference he brought. Never gives it away. Easy passes and kept making the RIGHT decisions. Having watched Tosic since his arrival I ain’t been a fan but he seems to have improved tenfold recently and bulked up a hell of a lot and I think he will be higher up in the pecking order before long. Fantastic dribbler of the ball. It appears stuck to his foot.
