hit me up for a ride. I just bought ronaldo’s Porsche.
P.s. No gucci interior?
Ashley Young – pleasepleasepleaseplease
I doubt we’ll buy Silva, Ribery, Villa or any big star like that because of the huge sum the clubs are demanding. I expect us to sign Valencia and be interested in A.Young, D.Costa and the Serbian winger Matic. But I wouldn’t bet against us making a big move towards Benzema if Tevez leaves.
I think Fergie will bring relatively young players to the club, perhaps not older than 25. We have players like Giggs, Scholes, Neville and VDS retiring soon so we need to purchase for the future. But I’m worried that many of those signings we’re linked to are starstruck by Real Madrid. David Villa has said he wants to play in Spain and he’ll most likely join Real. Ribery has said he loves Spain and I think he’ll join Barca if Real buy Villa. Benzema has said his dream club is Real Madrid. I’m not sure about Silva but I don’t really think he’s fit for the premier league unless he bulks up.
Actually, I’m struggling to remember when we actually bought a big star before? Yes, we paid big money for Rio & Rooney, but they were no where near considered big stars when we got them, only full of potential. So my guess is Ribery is out, Villa is going to Real & Benzema prefers Spain. I beg to differ for Silva also, he looks similar to Nani, with an even smaller built, so I say we probably should not go after him.
Young looks to have potential, fast and have a good cross in him. If we were to spend 25M, I say we go after Young rather than Silva.
The Evening News brings up some good points that in May 2010 we will be expecting the retirement of Giggs, Scholes, Neville, and Van Der Sar.
We have players in our squad who can fill that void left behind. Thing is they need to be played this season so they can bed in to the first team. Macheda, Welbeck, Nani, Anderson, Tosic, Ljajic, R Da Silva, Foster, Kuscak. They need to be playing alot of first team football next season. We have spent large sums of money on them so let’s give them a go.
If we need to buy it will only be to make up for the goals Ronnie scored for us. That would mean an out and out goal scorer. This isn’t Tevez. Benzema is the only one who comes to mind. We don’t need any of The Fascists rejects playing at United.
Tosiς is playing today against belarus after 2 hours .that’s would fill our time for a while . This summer is just like a long international break but without fucking internationals .i’m bored as hell
The vital football article is nonsense. David Villa wasn’t even a target.
Hey Douglas Costa – Are you signing for us or what?
LOL. Obviously I want to but no bids as yet. Fergie sign me up.
Everyone keeps naming wingers and out and out strikers as our main transfer focus. Does no one think that our main concern is in the central midfield area. With Scholes and Giggs playing less and less, Anderson and Carrick seem to lack a midfield partnership. I know we have a strong midfielder in fletcher, but in my opinion we should try and sign a strong, creative central midfielder (if possible).
Now Shitty seem to be buying Rogue Santa Cruz from Blackburn. It will be interesting if they still want Tevez or not. Now that Tevez has ruled out Liverpool, there isn’t much left in England except Chelsea, Shitty and Man Utd. He’s said that he wants first team football and doesn’t want to leave England. Perhaps Shitty will still buy him and sell some of their other strikers. They now got listed as forwards Bellamy, Benjani, Robinho, Vasell, Caicedo, Sturridge, Bojinov, Ched Evans and Jo. Most likely Cruz will be added to that list…
@ Doherty – I agree, I wouldn’t mind us going for De Rossi but I guess that’s unlikely.
valencia supposedly isn’t selling villa to anyone now….
The lyon chairman said recently that they may recieve an offer too good to turn down for benzema. That should give us a bit of hope…i think if we bid 40/45 million, lyon would sell, but the problem is that we’re not the only club going after him..
Marq Said,June 19th, 2009 @14:04 Actually, I’m struggling to remember when we actually bought a big star before?
Mark, try this on for size……….I reckon the last proven ‘world class’ talent we bought (not a promising youngster with talent) was Dennis Law! All the other United greats have been youngsters we have produced and developed (Nevilles, Becks, etc), young talent we have bought (Rio, Ronaldo, Rooney etc) or players who found their spiritual home and became world class (Eric, Schmeics etc). What do you reckon?
and on and on.
Fze123 – £40 -45 million for Benzema? No chance mate, 25 to 30 tops I would say. Am I the only one who does not particularly rate Ashley Young? He is very inconsistent, too lightweight and soft and goes to ground far too easily. Had enough of this kind of shit at United. It is time to stand up and be counted.
Doherty i completely agree with you
Perhaps we should buy Veloso from sporting? He wants to leave and would only cost 8-12 million !
I’d say if united put a bid in for Veloso, the price would rise to well over 12 million tho. Its not easy to think of many likely transfer targets that fit the bill.
Me. Sign me.
@King Eric:I’m with you.Don’t like Young,don’t like Lennon.Overhyped due to being English.
Right,it’s 12:30 here in India.I’m off to bed.Goodnight all.
theboogeyman – Cheers mate. Goodnight!
Something must have happened to Veloso. At one point all the big clubs were supposedly interested in him and the talked about price was around 15-20mills. Now only Bolton are interested and are close to signing him for less than 10 mills.
Gudjohnson — I know I’ll get ripped to shreds for saying this…But I would be happy to take Ched Evans and Sturridge off of Citeh’s hands…
King Eric — Spot on dude. Young is soooooooooo overrated and would get found out in Champions League games. He has pace and can deliver a good ball in from set pieces. Other than that, I don’t see anything worth raving about. And I think he is better than Lennon!!
Doherty — He’s not being linked with us at all, so its kinda a mute point, but I’ve been pimping out Fernando from Porto on here over and over again as a potential CM who fits the bill very well in my opinion.
–He was a tackling machine against us in our two games.
–He looked very strong/sharp.
–He is young.
–He is Brazilian (never hurts… unless your name is Kleberson)
–Wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.
But alas, all anyone wants to talk about is the boring usual subjects… And like you said, not one mention of a CMs, or preferably defensive minded CMs.
Yaya Toure wouldn’t be too shabby either if you ask me…
can someone please just tell me how to email to that chant comp
i tried lookin for the email so many times
