Like I answered back in the Comment, it is a duty that only the person at such a high position of responsibility understands. It is the duty that you feel in your final moments to do all the more for the club you gave everything for! There is such a sense of responsibility felt by people of the calibre of SAF. It is precisely this duty and not the superficial duty that we as fans feel Sir Alex will owe to us (as Carly of carlylovesunited.blogspot.com – Not Someone, mentioned on my blog).

now we are left with carrick,fletcher,anderson……i wouldnt like to put defensive duties on either carrick or anderson and they are not good at that..may be anderson to some extent..but his form is pretty inconsitent…..and we are left with fletcher in that department….thats the reason i think we need a player in that area….
i accept with your point that there is no need to completely change the midfield…but i think we need atleast one as i have explained above….
