ManUtd24 looks at why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a United legend. – Simple. Barcelona ’99 for one reason !!

  2. mancdub says:

There goes the Daily Mail again linking us with Bilbao players. If these players are so special, why are Bilbao only 7th in the league. A massive 40 points behind Madrid???
Martinez is the only one who would stand a chance of getting in our team.

  3. MG says:

There is no explanation that can justify someone asking a question why Solskjaer is a legend.

Solskjaer will never be forgotten at the Theatre of Dreams – he was is and will always remain a part of Manchester United in every sense

    For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

19/20 the shirt that he proudly wore.

  4. Jeet says:

    Because Solskjaer has won it!

  5. Collyhurst Red says:

“Can United score? they always score”

‘Kin ‘Ell, I’ll be crying again if this carries on :-)

  6. King Eric says:

Oh how predictable. Because we lose to Bilbao who like I said on the previous thread have been doghist since, we should buy 5 or six of their team. Should we buy half of Wigan too? The only one on that list that I would love to see is Martinez. Watched him a while now and he impressed in the Euros last summer. He makes them tick and without him last night Bilbao were shite. Long ball over the top to llorente. Lazy journalism by the Mail at best.

  7. King Eric says:

mancdub Hello mate. Ha. You beat me to it! Spot on.

  8. gaz says:

Fuck off wankini ya fucking perma tanned cunt with your “strange decisions cost shitty the title”moans about not having spikey headed block face Cunt Aguero for 2 games christ they are so small time i dont know where to start with them. besides the obvious amount of soft fucking decisions those fuckiing oil slugs got all season, Stoke and the game against the chavs springs to mind. Christ the troll in the hole is a fucking superstar over there again the melty necked basterd!

  9. gaz says:

also agree about bilbao lads watched them carefully since all the hype surrounded them being honest i woudnt mind Munian and Llorente might have a shout to get in the squad, other then that they are a pack of fucking poof balls woudnt hold a candle to our lads, King Eric spot on mate we should fucking sign Greame McFater there and that fucking ugly crushed face Caldwell…..piss off !!

  10. kelvinchanpw says:

apparently young is out on sunday, time for nani to claim that left wing spot, permanently.

  11. wayne says:

Don’t know what the exact stat it but Spaniards never seem to settle in England same as Argies, maybe the weather, style of play, lure of Real or Barca, whatever the reason don’t need to be signing players who’ll want out in a few years

  12. TheCANTONA says:

Seems like we’re going to buy whole Athletic Bilbao’s players & replace SAF with Bielsa bcoz they beat us twice in Europa League.

  13. MG says:

Mancini just said that English referees are not as good as Italian referees

Thanks Roberto for the nail in your own coffin

  14. samuel - united WE stand says:

    King eric – tunnicliffe ain’t
near the first team yet, some more improvements required, i don’t think we’ve heard much about him lately but i’m sure he’s progressing.
If pogba is fucking off then arriverderrci, had enough with endless sagas. He’s very indecisive and gets influenced easily by his agent, if he wanted to stay badly then this Shit would have been sorted by now, he’s just carrying on a merry fucking go around, we don’t know what he wants. It’s clear that he has no attachment to united, merely using us to make a name and then moving on. No commitment.

  15. mancdub says:

King Eric- yeah I read something similar to the mail article yesterday morning and have been ranting about ever since. If United played Bilbao in a serious competition I’m pretty sure the result would be different.
We were never up for the ropey league.

  16. samuel - united WE stand says:

Hold on, because bilbao had a bad game and suddenly they’re overrated? i think we’re getting carried away again, their performances have been no fluke and possess some outstanding talents that aren’t the finished article yet.

Sporting lisbon weren’t ever gonna be easy plus it’s easy to be motivated and step your game up against united compared to some teams. Marcelo biesla works them to the absolute limit, running around for an entire game like bulldogs fighting over who looks more like they chewed a wasp, they barely rotate and must be wrecked but talents that can be picked are in that team. munain, martinez, susaeta, Llorente are very good players and would blend amongst the biggest clubs. I can bet you they’ll Knock sporting out in the 2nd leg but the portuguese team are not a weak link either, they also could go through.

  17. MG says:

I wish Barca were overrated, Alas…

  18. samuel - united WE stand says:

i always Give credit where credit is due. united were resoundly out-played in both legs and i feel no shame to admit that. Bilbao have a small squad and clearly leaned all their resources towards the europa league. Defensively i think they can be exposed (as they’ve conceded in every game i think) but going forward, they play great football and coupled with their energetic approach, i think teams struggle to match that.

After saying all that, they probably are having a rare golden season as they’ll be dismantled by big teams approaching and taking their best players but i can’t get my head around a team being overrated after a bad game.

I posted you on the last thread this morning about Keano99′s commments did you see it?

  20. Costas says:

Nice to hear Fergie had a word with Ashley about his actions and was upfront in the media about it.

Meanwhile, Dogleash is trying on his new Suarez t-shirt…

  21. LoneStarRed says:

OGS epitomizes TEAM work ethic and team identity. Class player, class person.

  22. wayne says:

Giggs12 yes mate thanks,i’m not a Glazier lover just want to know the end game from everyone that wants to get rid.I know everyone bangs on about Glaziers having to pay back loans but unless it’s a billionaire who has 2bill cash going to be the same problem no matter who owns the club
I give credit to the Glaziers in increasing Utds global appeal and sponsorship and i like the way Utd is nothing to do with ego with them.Leave all football matters to Sir Alex and Gill, just hear the same nonsense from all the haters with no facts or substance to the arguement.
Gill and Sir Alex have always backed the Glaziers as good owners and have always stated money is there for transfers if needed.I trust Sir Alex more than MUST or anyone else.

  23. Mikekelly12 says:

They’ve missed a link off from RoM reads… Red Issue looks in depth at Giggs12 shit Valencia song.

  24. Albert Ross says:

    Giggs12Gerrard0

I also posted some Valencia lyrics on that thread for you to ridicule, or even ignore, ha ha!
    Oh, I get it!

  25. Manchuchu says:

I reckon if we do get our much needed midfield backups they’ll come from the EPL than anywhere else.

Modric seems to have slipped away from everyone’s minds

  26. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Mike

It has been ruined enough on Red Issue, so please leave my shred of confidence intact

    Alberton Rossi

Just read them now and they are quality efforts mate, love the Bebe one in particular

    Wayne

I know mate we all differ in opinions I jsut wanted to ensure that you didnt think i agreed with the match going comments over fans who do not have that luxury.. We are not samll time and I never use that in an argument because it has no bearnig or substance.

    Devil310

Remember no denim jackets or sandals

  27. King Eric says:

samuel – No mate it isn’t ONE game they have been poor . It been every game since they gave their all against us. I have watched them alot this season and they are a decent side but no where near the quality the media have made them out to be. Every player against us was a 9 out of 10. United players were 2 out of ten. Its ok doing it in one off games but they have been fucked since. Their draw against Barca was played on a bog.

  28. King Eric says:

“spikey headed block face Cunt Aguero ”

    Quality Gaz lad.

  29. King Eric says:

mike – Ha. Quality at 15.24.

Giggs12 – Don’t give up your day job and leave the song writing to Boyle!!!!

  30. TonyBee Watson says:

Susan Boyle?… the ugly scotch bint that dreamed a fucking dream? ….. bet you it was a fucking nightmare

  31. daemondada says:

Ha ha what a lovely day!How great it is to b associated with Utd!It’s so obvious that EVERYONE sees us as d benchmark yet are too stuffed up with themselves to admit it.Look at Mancini for instance.going on about how refereeing is shite in d EPL and how Utd are ULTIMATELY going to win d league NO MATTER what city DOES.How lame can a manager get at feeble attempts at mind games with d Grand Master SAF himself. His scornful, disparaging assessment of our season as referee assisted so far only serves to confirm to all that doubted Utd’s title campaign, fans and foes alike, that we have had an incredibly brilliant season Glory b 2 God.Remember back when u were in elementary school and there seemed to b this one bright pupil who always came top of the class despite not being as studious to d average observer as some other bespectacled bookworms who always finished behind and which ultimately lead to d toga ‘teacher’s pet’ being attached to him.Yet,in everybody’s heart of hearts, the unshakeable truth was that d lad was just a damn gifted scholar.Ditto Utd in d Prem.We are indeed blessed to b a part of this awesome juggernaut of a club. And yes you are right Mancini we are indeed winning the #20th just not because of d snide remarks u have given, rather, because we have IT in us to KEEP doing same.So stay d hell out of our way u bitter snob.Take care peeps.

  32. Clint-Iamyourpapii says:

    Spot on King Eric.

Martinez is their main man and if anyones joining a big club from Bilbao it’s Martinez.

Llorente is just a good striker, Munian is far from half a complete player, don’t know why he’s £30m rated, he has quick speed, dribbling and finishing but the lad has yet to mature in his passing and nowhere near a complete players.

The other young Bilbao kids look decent but I reckon because it’s because of a team effort, if United go in for one of those guys, it should defo be Javi Martinez, he’s well worth the money, great age and is the future of Spain, Barca love the fact he can play centre back and centre so they are favourites to land him.

  33. Clint-Iamyourpapii says:

5 transfer targets from daily mail … more like 5 random players from Bilabao !

What garbage, at least throw in Bebe’s younger brother Vajayjay

  34. CedarsDevil says:

Its complete bollocks I tell ya

  35. Mikekelly12 says:

Bebe’s been made to play with the reserves has he not?! Did we sell him or is he on loan?
Giggs12 don’t worry mate, I’ll join in with the Valencia song on Sunday. You’ll notice me, I’ll be the guy in denim being thrown over the edge of tier 2!!!
I think United’s top targets next year should be Champ Onions-Leeg, Faye Cup, and Pam Yer-Ship.

  36. CedarsDevil says:

    Nonsense utter and complete nonsense

  37. Mikekelly12 says:

    Cedars

  45. Albert Ross says:

In a masterstroke, City Owners (Abu Dhabi United Group) are to put an end to jibes about the pale blues Council-owned home and prove who has the most local fans, by building a brand new 100,000 seater stadium in the heart of New Manchester UAE, a brand new city under construction in the United Arab Emirates. City will play in the Formula 1 League, where they will come up against various invited teams consisting of celebrities, rent-boys and local Princes.

  46. Clint-Iamyourpapii says:

Going back “who is leaving in the summer”?

    The players I think wil defo leave/loan and those at risk;
Berbatov, Bebe,Park(?), Pogba(???),Owen(?),Kuszack or De Laet / Fryers

If these guys were to leave, we’d definitely have a very busy transfer window, none of the above play a lot of games apart from Park but we’ll obviously need that 4th striker plus that Fabio replacement although De Laet could step in from within or that Mysterious Fryers kid who seems like a ball squeezer.

Even if we don’t sell many 4 will leave at minimum even then we’ll need to sign at least at minimum a Left back, Midfielder and a Veteran striker if Owen gets moved on.

I’d happily take Cyssokho, Martinez and Raul. That would fetch £50m at max. I think something similar to my prediction will take place this summer looking at past activities 2007,2009,2004 etc.

  47. Albert Ross says:

More brilliance from the geniuses at the Advanced Notions Utilizing Superior Control Improving Trophy Yield (ANUS CITY) has emerged. They have determined that each match in the Formula 1 League will be played for a gigantic Silver Banana Tree.

“Silverware? Everywhere!” said the excited Sheik as he blew up yet another silver banana.

  48. Costas says:

Just read a couple of Fergie quotes on twitter:

    1) Will Keane will probably go out on loan next season.

    2) United have agreed a deal with Pogba’s agent. Now it’s up to him to decide.

  49. Albert Ross says:

Roman Abramovic reacted angrily this week to accusations of intimidation.

“My gift of a balaclava and snowshoes to Roberto Di Matteo has nothing to do with the labour shortage in Siberia. He is not under threat should he not win my Champions League. I never let results stand in the way of progress.”

  50. Albert Ross says:

The only news coming out of LFC today is the resignation with immediate effect of their spokesman, who claims that the boredom was killing him.

  51. Mikekelly12 says:

    Cedars
Wow… Those fuckers really were thick!! Haha
    Albert
I’m loving this Formula 1 league. Where can I get a season ticket.
    Clint
You can forget Raul he is deffo not going to be playing in Europe next year.

  52. Albert Ross says:

Mike – Season tickets come with the package! That’s what is so wonderful, they have thought of everything! All included is your flight to New Manchester FC, a lovely new home with kids if required, a season ticket, and a job at the stadium (well, that’s what the season ticket is for, more of a clock-card really)

  53. Albert Ross says:

Viewing the matches while at work is not compulsory, you may face the other way.

    In fact it’s recommended.

  54. Albert Ross says:

When challenged on the state of the game after 3 match-fixing accusations appeared on the same day, Sepp Blatter shouted “Damn it! I could have got 50 to 1 on that!”

  55. King Eric says:

Clint – Spot on pal. Martinez is the hub of that team and everything goes through him. Not a big fan of De Marcos to be fair. The others like you say are decent players but look good together in that side. Sadly like you say Barca will end up getting Martinez.

  56. Clint-Iamyourpapii says:

    MikeKelly

If we can’t have one legend like Raul, pick another :P Del Piero would be a dream at OT, love the man, he like Berba walk around with Cool tatoo’d to the forehead.

He built Juventus as a player and formed great history but they are moving on without him which is sad to see, the same happened to Raul and Hierro.

    Such a class act too….on his soon departure;

“Angelli’s remarks surprised me,” he said in an interview with Vanity Fair. “But a captain must never forget his duties and what he represents.Juventus are committed to winning the Scudetto and Coppa Italia. There is no need for controversy, which has never been present in my career.”

    http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1956/europe/2012/04/20/3049203/zac-lee-rigg-alessandro-del-piero-providing-one-last-purple

We need to pull these legends like Raul and Del-boy Piero out of semi-retirement to Dubai to rainy old Manchester, one last huff and puff to give these guys a send off, Owen got his, Larsson too.

Ole Gunnar’s retirement was very emotional…legends…they make us what we are in the present.

Three goals and an assist in his last five appearances, goals against Milan and Inter and an assist at Napoli, he sounds heartbroken that a club he’s been at 19 years can dump him so easily,

  57. Devil310 says:

@giggs12 – no denim jackets? What about a denim vest or hi rise dye washed jeans? Are mullets allow inside old Trafford?

  58. mara says:

I think that all these guys are good. But the question of all questions is, wich of those players can fit in our philosophy of playing. IF Martinez go to Barca…how many midfield players Barca need? IS he realy think he is gonna play? I think we need to consider 4 of them..accept Llorente…because we need tehnicaly good players in middle. They are fast also. Eriksen should be also there…
If you look for a bit…a lot of Dutch players playing great in all leagues. Their football shool is great and they fit on every stile of football very quick
