Man Utd News 24/7

can’t wait for the season to start.
hate this silly season where we’re linked to every man and his dog
Good morning fellow REDS!!
I cant wait for pre-season to start,especially as i’m gonna be one of the few fortunate to see UTD play live in South Africa(Cape Town).It’s gonna be great,stadium sold out already.Gonna be my 3rd time seeing them play live in SA,my sons 1st time and his super excited.Also got us tickets for the open training session the Friday night(20th July)GGMU!!
I don’t wish death on anyone, but Piers Morgan should know that a man’s word is his bond…
Costas
So today we are signing Moutinio, Cedars son, anyone else….
Fryers is fried it seems… fucked off to spurs
Great article by Stretty News! Informative, and I’m much less confused now
Piers Morgan please do it…! Ha
Indian Devil, Moutinho is actually from Rory Smith who people consider reliable on these rumors. There’s actually a Times article on it which I can’t access because it is paid. I am not believing it but there probably might be a bit of truth in it as well.
When RVP leaves, be a man, jump off the pier, morgan.
Morgan you fucking wanker. I’ll tie those lead weights on myself.
Good afternoon people,very excite for the new boys kagawa and power,also very hurry for waiting the others one or two,I can’t control myself to update the transfer news every minute,oh sir Alex please done it quickly ,sorry for my English .
Morgan is daft as fuck, hateful bastard………Him Townsend and me in a room, only one RED walks out alive
This guy said everything and very objecitve…
“Best of luck to Pogba – there’s no point pretending to not be disappointed about a) his loss, and b) the club’s inability to retain talent. Pogba’s arguably one of the top midfield talents in Europe so there’s little way to positively spin losing him, talent-wise. Given the chance and plenty of patience, he should have a good career. It’s just a disappointing way to leave the club with Ferguson seemingly particularly angered by it suggesting Pogba had shown the club no respect.”
I just asking myself one question…Berbatov shown recpect to the club…and what does he have from that?
rd54
no problem with the english, I too am very excite
Piers Morgan is a FUCKING CUNT…..He’s right up there with fucking city in my list of horrible fucking excuses to man!!! Santa Monica Pier you fucking la de da fucking ponce……. tell you what, forget the weights and just jump off Barton fucking bridge head first. That way I’ll get a better view. Better still, I know a nice bridge going over the M60 from Sale Water Park…if you let me know what time I’ll borrow my mates van and make sure I fucking wipe you out before you hit the tarmac you self engratiating piece of shit!!!
Balaji Sivaraman – Ok thanks for info about Moutinho (sorry for the spelling on my earlier post) mate. I did a search on google and the first result lead me to Man Utd official site, What the papers say. Here’s the extract from there-
United make £20 bid for Moutinho
Manchester United have tabled a former offer, believed to be about £20million, for Joao Moutinho, the Portugal midfield player. United contacted Porto, the 25-year-old’s present club, this week to establish their valuation of the playmaker and they returned with an opening offer yesterday. It is thought that Porto are prepared to sell Moutinho, an £8.5million signing from Sporting Lisbon two years ago, but want as much as £26million. United are likely to face intense competition from Tottenham for the player, who worked with Andre Villas-Boas, Spurs’ newly appointed manager, at Porto in 2010. Villas-Boas has earmarked Moutinho as his priority recruit should Luka Modric leave White Hart Lane.
Rory Smith, The Times
He looked good in the Euro’s and plays as deep lying midfielder so might be exactly what we need as it looks difficult for Fletcher to make is back.
Mike
Easy solution pal, throw on a leeds shirt on Morgan then beat the fuck out of him
I want this IPO sucess because i want our club debt free and that we can finally compete with others. We have money, we can pay ridicioulus wages, but if we have no debt….if good players get you CL, PL…they worth it. We are financialy strong enough to compete with everybody. REAL and BARCA takeing credits to buy players, but we have 100 mils profit every year. We can buy every player we want. We are the most healtiest and richest club in the world.
Cedars
Haha!! Mate, wouldn’t need a Leeds shirt on pal! He could be wearing glasses and a UNICEF t-shirt for all I care, id still kick him in the bollocks!!!
I’m sick and tired of reading Utd are unable to keep young talent and of course its the lack of money and the Glaziers fault.What total and utter bollocks,yeah Utd can’t afford to pay some kid 20k a week if Sir Alex thought he was worth it,ffs some of you need to get serious and stop using every little thing to take shots at the club
Mike
Ha ha ha……I know, but the leeds shirt would make it more fun!
Disclaimer
I do not condone violence in anyway shape or form unless its directed towards leeds fans, and note I never use a capital L when naming the sheep shaggers
that David Conn of grauniard is a bitter cunt, biggest hypocrite i’ve ever seen. As for Piers Morgan, dont forget to invite us the day you jump from the bridge, we surely won’t miss that. WANKER!
Fuck off Morgan you Eton toff cunt and throw yourself off the pier as promised. God I detest this bastard.
Fuck me Piers topping himself would finally bring him the rating he craves,lol ironic
Ha, “Pogba’s arguably one of the top midfield talents in Europe “. Is this a joke ? What has achieved for a comment like this? I hate the way people say when Fergie should play the kids etc. Don’t they think Fergie has a bit of experience of blooding youth? I am more bothered about the lads that HAVE signed pro contracts not cunts like Pogba and Morrison. Cedars and Samuel nailed it on the previous thread .
wayne – Spot on about the youth mate. Why the FUCK should Fergie pay these primadonna cunts 20 large a week? You have to fucking earn it.
King Eric & wayne
Spot fucking on fellas………..Getting sick and tired with the ‘we’re losing our youth’ bollocks
KE if that’s the kids main motivation at 18 or 19 the club are better off without them but as some are suggesting its lack of money I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous in my life
The Daily abu Mail even have headlines “United to lose yet another starlet” . Good to see that some teenagers who have played about 5 minutes make headline news.
@King Eric
Hi mate. Better used to those figures. Like I said earlier today, it’s not 92 anymore. If we are not willing to pay what it takes to keep them around, then we might as well close the Academy. No point in keeping it going if we only manage to tie down 2 of the best prospects (Danny and Tom in this case) every 5-6 years and we lose everyone else that might have a shot at making it. And in Danny’s case, we are not out of the woods yet..
This will probably shock him, but I agree with Wayne for once. Record this moment people……
Costas still fighting his corner!
Willie
Duly noted and carved in cedars pal
If I was David Gill and I was slipped a note from the agent of Pogba,Morrison, Fryers saying “4 year deal + £20,000 a week” I would take that note, turn it around and write my counter offer and slip it back into the hand of that players and say….”You’ll get more when you deserve more”.
On that note it will say.
” 5 Year Deal, £9.50 an hour”.
Cedars – Thanks mate! Been a busy week for me. Glad to be back posting on the blog regularly lol.
@Willie
Cut me Mick…
Willie after 4 or 5 years of posting had to happen sooner or later
Willie
About time you did some work mate!
Costas in 1992 the ave wage was 1,800 per week and a milestone was set when John Barnes was given a 10k a week contract
@wayne
Different times, that’s for sure. But we both know how much the average wage among footballers has increased since then. I’ve been wondering about it today, but I’d love to know how much players like Brown and Fletcher were making when they were Pogba and Fryers’ age.
At long fucking last…it rained
Wayne – True lol.
Cedars – I’m a lazy bugger mate!
Costas Wes started his career around 1992 so if the ave top flight wage was 1800 per week Wes was probably not making much more than 100 per week if that.In those days it was all about working hard through the ranks to make the first team,money wasn’t even a issue a kid felt very lucky a team like Utd were even interested.Different times indeed mate
Willie
No you’re not mate, you’re just Irish, better at drinking! ha ha ha
I’d give him 20k……. and shove every last note up his greedy bastard little arse!!!!! Fuck it, make it 40k. Jumped up little pricks! Who the fuck do they think they are??
@wayne
Yeah, but if we are looking at the time they were around 19-20, that would be 98-99 for Wes and 03-04 for Fletch. It’s probably very hard to track down that information, but it would make for an interesting comparison with what’s going on now. In all likelyhood, those two weren’t on 20k per week at the time though. I remember an article last year about the amount UNited were saving in wages and Scholes was on 50k I believe. And he was an established veteran at the time. O’Shea was also on 50 or 60k per week when he left at the age of 30 last year. So there’s no way those two would be making 20k at the age of 19-20 either. It’s turned into a sad state of affairs now and we have to find a way to deal with it.
Nice talk, I love not hearing ABU’s every where.
Costas on the graph I found in 1998 the ave wage was only 7k a week and in 2004 19k a week,hard to believe nowadays the young lads would have been making much less than that
Arsene Wenger gives mouthwatering amount of money to his youngsters and see how it works for Le Arse. I still think our policy is the right way, earn money by prove it first.
City making Tevez the first 200k a week footballer(prem) in 2009 was when things started getting out of control
@mara
This won’t make any difference. Transfer fees haven’t been an issue based on what we have spent on players as well as the offers we know we put in.
- £30-40mill for WS
- £35mill for Benzema
- €40mill for Villa
- £24mill for Silva in 2008
- £25mill for Nasri
- £32mill for Hazard
And those are ones we know about. There are others who like Ozil who it looks like we may have enquired about and been willing to pay for and there may be others we don’t know about bids for.
The thing that has caused the problem with many of those has been wages. Wages however aren’t helped by the IPO, the wages are based on the clubs revenue with the budget being 50% of the revenue. If it was profit the yes it would help but I doubt the club will break its sensible 50% stratergy that even the PLC employed.
The only way that the IPO may help is if the savings in Interest are plotted into schemes that increase revenue but I’m not sure what that would be. Obvious one would be to bring the SAF stand inline with the rest of the ground BUT the issues here are
- Estimates a few years ago suggested it would cost £125mill to add 20k.
- The increase of the ticket prices has seen the waiting list fall. You would imagine they would have to lower ticket prices a bit to increase demand to get 20k more who can afford it. This reduces the benefit of the extra seats
Mind you they did buy land around OT las quarter so perhaps they feel they can make it work or perhaps they have plans for increases elsewhere in the stadium and the IPO is being done Soley to free up some cash to achieve this without eating Into the transfer fund
