I wrote in a few days ago suggesting the Michael Carrick is UTD’s most “irreplaceable” player; Javi Martinez would be a great addition – not only as a box-to-box companion for Carrick but also because he’s shown – last year in La Liga – that he’s a very good defensive player, too. As they say, Javi Martinez “ticks all the boxes”
Scoring goals wasn’t UTD’s problem last year – controlling the tempo of the game against strong midfielders undermined TheLads. And, of course, the injury blight – and those five points “lost” to shitty officiating.
