    Fantastic set of articles. Thanks

  2. Lebenglese says:

On another note, Fletch could be making a return! Meeting up with the Scotland squad and he completed 45 minutes in a practice match.

Best wishes, would be great for us if he can string a few games together and get some consistency going without crapping his pants.

    Long live the Fletch.

  10. REDwhiteblueDEVIL says:

with mancini playing down his interest in RvP, perhaps we will be a red for slightly less than arsenal had hoped? of course, i’d prefer moura. either way, it is a little encouraging to see united pursuing top players while city are finally calming down. many will complain and say we should have been competing on their level in the transfer market for the past few years, but they’ve only won the title on goal difference and while we may have a potentially revitalized squad, they do not seem like they will. they are now used to winning and playing together, but united has a lot of youth with a crucial season under their belts and of course they now know their teammates better. i like our chances, especially if one or two big names are added.
that said, fuck the glazers – with or without big signings in this transfer period.

Barca Official: No and that’s final….get it final ! We will wear Blue and also Red…fuck off.

Utd Official: Sorry Senor, we will find colours to wear, How about White? We be like Madrid no? We be bitches to ya.

I must of been asleep. The news of Fletcher possibly returning has been a bolt out of the blue today. Some much needed relief for Carrick as the poor boy has pretty much steadied the ship since Fletchers problems without a rest. Welcome back son.
Im not sure I can even talk about the MUST letter. When is enough enough. Im kind of embarassed about the whole affair and the damage that has been done by either side. Im concentrating solely on the football side of things, backroom is backroom, closed for a reason.

  15. kanchelskis says:

Vidic is looking gaunt. What’s that all about? Or is it just an effect of his new hairstyle?

  16. Lebenglese says:

Doing well bud, fine afternoon indeed. Bloody hot, not a woman in sight, and I’m surrounded by camels. Can’t wait for the season to start.

Can’t agree with you more about Fletch. Grew on me and was just coming into his prime. As with Carrick, it took a while for fan’s to praise them as much as Rooney, Nani, simply because they couldn’t understand them. They aren’t here to seduce the fan’s, they are lynch pins of the squad.

Still get myself excited every morning hoping we have bagged Lucas and someone who hasn’t been under the radar like Eriksen or Hamsik.

Still think we could do a swap with Arsenal for RVP >< Berba + 10 mil (Even though I know Berba is worth at least 20)

It hurts to see him want him to go. One of the classiest, most loyal strikers around, just been left to rot)

Fingers crossed Anzi Machakala come in for him with a big bid :P

Must be the hair. I looked at the picture and wondered if it was mistake of identity.

Just goes to show what shaving your hair does for you. Some get intimidated by skinheads but I just wonder how bad their hair must of been for the need to shave it off. With Vidic we see, he looks fit for the 1985 FA cup final, lol. Look for pics of Barthez and Veron with hair, lol

  18. REDwhiteblueDEVIL says:

If Vidic can return like he’s never left, we can finally see a proper and stable back 4. Hopefully Vidic’s presence can help refocus Evra a little.

Should help a great deal as Vidic usually plays the left of the two central defenders. Alot of people dont take that into account when thinking of Evras past season and are instead looking for a full time replacement. I think Evras fine for the job. Dont need Baines.

  23. ARUN says:

dont think the midfield situation is as bad as people think .
anderson cleverley carrick scholes giggs powell fletcher(wen he is fit) jones played brilliantly there with carrick last season also kagawa can play centre mid.plus we have all those youngstres in petrucci and tunnicliffe.
left back is a concern definetely.its evra then brady and blackett .i have seen evans play there.but i think fergie will sign a left back in januray or may even bring fabio back from loan in jan.
i think we already are equipped to win the league and maybe one of the cups.
SHINJI KAGAWA is going to make a big difference.and if we sign RVP we can pretty much take on anyone in europe.anyway id do fancy us to reach the champions league semis atleast.

  24. CedarsDevil says:

If we do sign RvP I do not think I will watch United again………I would be dead from a heart attack caused by pure pleasure

“Have you not got a girlfriend?” she replied, “Guys like you always have girlfriends.”

“No, sadly we broke up just over a month ago,” I assured her.

“Oh I’m sorry to hear that,” she said, “Go on then, I’ll have a white wine please.”

A few drinks later after a kiss and a cuddle we headed off back to her place and fucked like mad. While I was putting my clothes back on she said, “So, you’re good looking, a nice guy and amazing in bed, can I ask why on earth you split with your girlfriend?”

    Manchester United Never Die…..

We have been battered, bruised, beaten and broken. throughout history….and brought to our knees but the same result every time, We Always Rise….Stronger and Hit Back Harder.

This Club is Special,Sir Matt Busby gave us an immortal strength from within and Sir Alex Ferguson gave the Club a upwards direction to soar to heights never reached before.

I agree with Sir Alex “This is the most romantic club in the history of world football”.
No other club shares the wealth of our history, the club rose from the ashes and rose from the grief of the Munich Disaster.

    United should bow to nothing.

  50. Dev says:

Guys, on the matter of almighty Roy Keane, I remember seeing a picture in a magazine somewhere, in full glorious 2 page spread of Captain Roy going into 50-50 with John Terry.

2 captains going in for a stray ball, but the obvious differences were the looks on each individual: Roy, snarling, contempt, relishing the challenge and clash of shins and studs; while “lionheart” Terry covering and protecting his ugly mug with both hands / arms crossed in front of his face like a schoolgirl.

Does anyone remember, or at least have an inkling of what i’m on about?

I can’t seem to find the picture even on omnipresent Google images…

    It was glorious and beautiful.

Got a question if anyone can help.Let’s assume Utd’s shares sell at $20 and then like Facebbok shares plummit say $10 does that devalue Utds value by 50% or just the shares sold

Facebook was a company floated on a highly inflated value. Its income is not constant and is a bit of a wim. Apart from a few powerful servers and the rights facebook is just 1′s and 0′s popular only as long as people think its the thing to be.
United is bricks and mortar, players and facillities etc and a value based on future earnings. It is these future earnings that the Glazers are half worried about as performance = those earnings. If we become a Liverpool and the empire falls then we will cause a stir in the market and the share price will drop accordingly.
Forbes valuation of United is based on future earnings and what similar businesses are valued at with that earning potential so if the stock price falls it will be generally because investors loose confidence in the value of Manchester United this will then naturally effect outside valuations of the business so YES Uniteds value may well fall even if only a small % of its worth is sold off in stocks. Which I think was your question.
When valuing a business for sale or floatation you generally add on, over bricks and mortar, a percentage of future earnings. My parents were qualified chefs and bought a couple of Fish and Chip shops in the late 80′s. They built it up and its value was at the time (mid 90′s) around the £650 000 mark. £120 000 was what they paid for it. It was beautifully situated within 200m of the towns football club, a large sports center, the TA barrocks and a college of further education plus a feww schools within 400m. Because of the earning potential and proven increase since the time they bought it they sold it for £1.1m as they took their cut of future earnings. There is no point selling a business for the same ammount as the bricks and mortar as by tomorrow theyve already skined you. For interest sake it was written in the contract that they couldnt open up another chippy in the same town and take away the loyal customers for 10 years.

  57. Wakey says:

“Despite your promises when you took control of Manchester United Football Club in 2005 you have consistently refused to speak to fans.”

That bit made me laugh. Not that I’m saying the Glazers would have communicated better but it’s not like MUST or to a slightly lesser extent IMUSA have actually allowed the Glazers to do so. While it may seem a little odd the last thing you do when you have groups going on a PR offensive against you is speak. The more you say when you don’t have to the more chance of giving then ‘soundbites’ to work with. It’s why when you see people being hounded by the press after a story breaks about then either blanking the questions or saying no comment as speaking almost always makes the story bigger.

It does make you wonder what idiots are running MUST starting a letter critising a situation that you yourself are atleast equally as responsable for and potentially completely responsable for has to be one of the most idiotic things MUST have done and I’m including backing the Red Knights (something which I have to feel this letter suggests they are still doing. Why else would they be asking for sale for a ‘fair’ price. Even what Red Knights is believed is Fair price is beyond what the Fans could generate and there seems to be no Red Knight with the money to buy it outright either hence why they stated they would keep the debt. For MUST the only option they could possible be looking to support at a sale at ‘fair price’ could be the Red Knights)

  58. bah_humbug says:

Thanks for the links. This is my favourite Fergie quote ever:

“I didn’t think I could have a higher opinion than I already had of the Irishman but he rose even further in my estimation,” Sir Alex Ferguson wrote in his autobiography. “The minute he was booked and out of the final he redoubled his efforts to get the team there. It was the most emphatic display of selflessness I have seen on a football field. Pounding every blade of grass, competing as if he would rather die of exhaustion than lose, he inspired all around him. I felt it was an honour to be associated with such a player.”

    KEANO THERE’S ONLY ONE KEANO

  59. YorYor says:

goat, agree there. My only worry is that Vidic returns as a shadow of his former self – it’s been a long injury and not every player returns from injury like Valencia. We’ll find out soon enough, but we’ve got a good central depth in Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans and Smalling. Just no sick concurrent injuries to all 4 AGAIN!

  60. Red Letter says:

We were very lucky Roy Keane didn’t end up with King Kenny at Blackburn, and so was he.
What a fantastic player, and teaming up with the great Sir Alex, they were made for each other!!.
What a shame Roy did not see it fit to attend Sir Alex’s celebration of 25 yrs at United, he certainly
    is unpredictable.
