  6. RedPharoe says:

Great read on Del Piero. Liverpool never learn from their mistakes.

  7. FletchTHEMAN says:

Just watched the full interview with Rooney.

Well done to sky. Really is a kid still. Sort of like has been said about Rafael. All these experiences but it is still a “kick about” in a way.

The Carrick Revolution comes to England. United’s best kept little secret innit?!

Baggio was world class. And so is Del Piero. Always thought he would end his career at the Old Lady. Always brings an odd feeling to think that the time when Giggs and Scholes wont be on our team sheets is fast approaching. Let alone Sir Alex. These are the footballers that have earned and deserved Loyalty. They are the immortals. Just hope there are a few trophies around for the send off.

    Hello, can’t seem to post?

  11. jeet says:

Funny stuff happening, did any of u see my post saying ‘brilliant articles on baggio and heysel’? Seems to have got deleted and can’t post from the laptop it seems? Written to admin about it

Anyone seen Nick Powell’s goal for the Eng U-21s?

    Cracking finish.

  13. plassen says:

I’m surprised anyone hasn’t looked at the potential of Fletch and Kagawa together yet. Fletchers approach to the game would fit Kagawa better than Carrick; a more mature version of Clev… Hope he’s back to bring the title home in the second part of the season

  14. kanchelskis says:

    @iced earth

Haha, yeh. 4 goals in 2 and a bit games. looking like a terrible bit of business

  15. izzy says:

I am number 17th! (fuck, when will i ever be the 1st?)

  16. kanchelskis says:

Hope we meet Juve this season in CL and school them, with Pogba watching from the bench. Increasing number of reasons to hate them:

    - No more del Piero
    - the Pogba affair
    - mouthing off about RvP
    - the fact they were even thinking about signing Suarez – anyone who would want to be associated with him can fuck off
    - match fixing

  17. iced earth says:

    kanchelskis
they got Nicklas Bendtner and marotta think it s better deal
    marotta is a joke

  18. Marq says:

Great article about Baggio. Great player remembered for a bad kick, very unfair to him. He carried Italy all the way, and he proved his class by carrying a lowly Brescia before he faded away. Always felt Del Piero sort of mirrored his game to Baggio’s, both great players nontheless. He could teach our lads a thing or two about freekicks, technical dribbling and shot placement

  19. Sara says:

    Kanchelskis
True dat.If we meet juve in champs league,i hope Robin will prove them wrong and bag a brace or better still,a hattrick.
    Jeet
    Hi,

  20. Sara says:

    Jeet
Upgrade your laptop me friend. That old fashion will not work here,we are in 2012 not ND1958.

  21. Sara says:

I would say that despite our lethal strike force we still lacking in defence.Obviously not the lack of it but rather getting our act together and sorting out the injuries. This notion of outscoring the opposition is easier said than done.Teams are now parking the bus against us after an early goal and we are finding it hard to breach defensive teams.Possession is good but will neva earn you points.Scoring goals galore and retain same possession is what i like.As much as our mid is not world beater,it doesnt explain early goals conceded. Most are from set pieces where we lack concentration.

  22. Sara says:

Im afraid that bar Sir Alex the other coaches are getting tactics wrong esp defensive coach.Tall strikers should always be marked by tall defenders like Ferdy and Vidic who are also strong in air. This role is now delegated to short evra and rafael who are not blessed in height.I saw this mistakes in all our opening three matches and is irritating me to be honest.Seems we never learn with this coz clearly phelan/rene can sort it out.
Goals galore yes we can score, but at same time we should avoid concedeing.Who knows the title might be won by goals again this time.Never rule out anything in football.Bloody Hell!!!!

  23. Marq says:

    @Sara

I think it makes more sense that it is the tall strikers who are positioning themselves nearer to Rafael & Evra, not Sir Alex putting our tiny man on them

  24. Sara says:

Ok im off for now.Keep it on topic lads.Keep it red but we poised for a very long dull weekend with no action from our beloved team.Sigh…. hope our players come back injury free.I bet arsenal fans are wishing Robin to get injured but he is well in my prayers just like the other lads.

  25. Sara says:

    Marq
Going by your logic,i think players are given opponents to mark.Defender mark striker and not the other way round. If striker positions himself to rafael that means the allocated defender has lost his man.We concede goalslast season in same style. In Derby,Jones lost Kompany and we all saw the two yard bullet of a header.Think of it mate our players marking in box is not good.

  26. Redbilly says:

Liverpools worst start to the season in 50 years. Great season already.

  27. Sara says:

I also wonder why young cant take corners and allow RvP to be in box.Young was special set piece taker at Villa but it seems he ‘s forgotten this art at United .But still i like him whipping crosses from edge of box and think rooney should at times let other take freekicks at edge of box as he is now known by keepers how he takes F.K.Bit of variety and we will leave keepers guessing as we celebrate a goal already.
    Ok enough now pissing off.

  28. Marq says:

If our central defenders follow their strikers everywhere there’ll be a hole in the middle -.-

  29. Safwan says:

    Iced earth
    Great links pal.Enjoyed them..Certainly worth a read.

  30. slayer says:

Currently United is not defending very well despite having almost 10% in Southampton match, 20% against Fulham and almost 30% extra possessions when against Everton. I am not sure if United really need to get a CM in the coming transfer windows but the players need to put a lot of effort into defending the goal.If something like last year were to repeat, that show how much United suffers in the midfield defending. Despite having a strong attack force, United still lack in defending and I supposed there is no harm in getting one CM which could reduce the chance of conceding a goal. As a supporter, I won’t be glad if United gone into a second year losing with goal difference again. Nevertheless, I would still stay till the end. Hopefully, we will be able to see United change into a consistent team which could cause fear into other teams.

  31. samuel - united WE stand says:

Nice to see will keane on the mend. As he’s been out for a while, i can only imagine he’ll be working hard in the gymnasium. He would come back physically stronger and more powerful.

Apparently the manager was going to include him in the first team, shows how big a stride he has made, hopefully he’ll return and get the opportunity to break into the first team.

  32. Reds Galore says:

    Greetings everyone.
    iced earth
terrific links mate.I for one enjoyed them.Worth a read.Epic stuff.

  33. TheCANTONA says:

    @Marq:
Sara is a “woman” u should understand “her” knowledge about football…

  34. Reds Galore says:

Judging by what i have seen of Wigan, they are not to be taken lightly.Come next weekend we should batter them because from then on we begin the tough matchhes not to mention the champions league as well.Having said that i think we will win the f.a cup this year and rightfully so.Scholes said if we are injury free we have two strong teams that can challenge for honors.Wish we can do a treble but thats just the optimist me talking.Teams got quality now no complacency needed

  35. TonyBee says:

Sara / Reds Galore….. fucking hell aint any of you sussed the dopey cunt yet….

  36. Reds Galore says:

  40. the team that wouldn't die says:

Poor Tom! He has to keep the engine going alogside soon to be retired gerrard and Lampard.
