Quite a while since i posted…now to read
Wow 1st now 2nd haha…
Some valid points from Guardian on Rooney
Off topic – watch this, its quite amusing:

Jimmy Murphy piece is first rate.
Story on Tom Ince has been doing the rounds. Not sure about that. Heard dad Paul will be heavily influential and wants a team that will give Tom first team footy. Nice words from Paul, but you just know that signing for United would require no strings attached. Personally think the only reason we are still talking about it is the history of Paul Sr at United and Liverpool. You might not want to read it….. but you know you have to anyway.
Rooney could easily become a midfielder. Hell he could probably put in a shift anywhere. Not sure if people have noticed this, but he’s a fucking brilliant footballer that lad.
@The One, Cheers mate. Lots of Suarez diving GIFs doing the rounds.
I like this one from the limited number I have wasted my time watching:

Good Interview with Jonny Evans in MEN

Hero to Zero: David DeGea discusses how you battle for your place at United and the new season would always have brought a new look at his place. Also says the rotation system has helped him deal with the pressure.

Rooney is Awesome!!
but Alan Pardew thinks he knows the answer. “I would go as far as to say Wayne Rooney is the difference between United being a top-four team and a top-two team,” said Newcastle United’s manager. “That’s how influential and powerful he is.” Pardew was speaking 48 hours before Rooney served as the catalyst for United’s 3-0 Premier League win
Nice quote from Pardew. Rooney really has come back in rare form. Covered ever blade of grass in our last 2 games. Really has the vision to move the ball anywhere on the park as well.
To be fair to chico he does seem to have halted his perpetual off side positioning. I do like his play and attitude, so maybe he will learn and add more to his game.
As Sir Alex has always said we need 4 strikers, and I would guess Danny the lad would need to find his scoring boots or he’ll be warming the bench soon.
Anyway, things are lookin good.
Utd til I die.
No worries for Hernandez. United always need 4 strikers. A lot of chances for him to play: cups, european, even leagues. He’s still young, and he will learn. Give him another season to establish himself to become our first choice. Here is the scenario, RVP to shine for another season and Hernandez will be ready by then to take the stick from RVP.
FletchTHEMAN, haha, nice link, thanks!!
Red Robin hi mate RVP is only 29 Utd will be looking to get more than 2 seasons out of him,Danny brings much more to the team than Hernandez just hard for me to see him becoming Utd’s first choice anytime soon.In the end it’ll come down to whether he’s happy with his role but i’m hoping RVP is around for another 4 or 5 seasons and i’m expecting Danny to continue to improve,if Rooney is going to be deployed in midfield then there is somewhat of a opening but overall unless he shows big improvement barring injuries will always be around the fringes.
I think its a case of team ethic than just one player needing to up their game, as witnessed in our last game everybody looked up for it, as a result we came out on top
The first 20 minutes were something I haven’t seen in a long time, while understanding that its near impossible to play at that rate for 90 minutes fitness wise but I can my life a 45minutes time playing in such tempo and speed is almost a guarantee of a 3 points cause surely the wayneboy and CO will create chances and with RVP “one of the best finishers in the world” up top we sure gonna be putting all chances away. Imagine if those danny early chances had fallen in robin’s path?
“Bet” my life…
The Faithful MUFC raising a very interesting point regarding chicharitos future at the club
IMO think he’s one for the future, no one expected him to adapt to english game as quickly as he did, that boy scored goals for fun on his first season here. I don’t think robin’s arrival means the letter will have to be released, he’s really working on his all round game and already showing signs of improvement and positional sense has improved massively. He doesn’t often get caught in offside position this days which shows once again the kid is really improving his first touch isn’t as awful as like on his first season, there’s still room for improvement but he’s not what many makes him of being, he’ll get his fair share of games and once given the boy will grab the chance with both hands.
Really love him to bit, and he loves the club.
International needs boycotting
And suarez is just aclassless, selfish cunt, always crying like a little baby.
You can actually make a documentary with half of his antics. Really deserves hem bitters!!
Angelo henriquez gets a call-up to chiles senior team
Angelo Henriquez has been introduced to Chile’s senior squad for the matches with Ecuador and Argentina.
“Unfortunately, we have important players injured. That has worked in my favour and I hope to play. Otherwise, I will continue to work the same way to have another call-up. It’s not what I expected – I was ready to play with the Under-20s.”
“I have been working very hard and intensively in England. Mentally, it is a huge motivation to come and play for the Chilean national team.”
Wayne
2 more great seasons from RVP would be the top. RVP would be 31 or 32 and Hernandez would be 26 or 27 by then. We can see transition from RVP to Hernandez as our first choice striker by then.
Welbeck vs Hernandez: well, I’m more than happy if both of them would develop as our pairing striker in 2 years. But all this while we have seen Welbeck is shifting from striking position to wider position on the wing, while Hernandez is consistently playing in striking position. I guess that’s the reason why welbeck slightly confused (I’m borrowing costas word) with his position. Thats why I put my money on Hernandez to develop into our first choice striker in 2 years.
Denis Irwin is a legend!! He kind of gets forgotten about when we look back on the treble etc but he was a MASSIVE part of that team!!
Red Robin 32 would given him 4 seasons he only turned 29 in August that would put Hernandez at 28,the RVP signing has put more pressure on him and made him more vulnerable than anyone else imo, guess we’ll just have to see how things unfold

Dennis Irwin was the greatest left back I’ve ever seen. People bang on about Arsenal’s old back four but our lads were the toughest bastards out there. Pallister’s recent comments on Rio were class as well, he didn’t have to say a word.
@FletchTHEMAN – cheers for the Evans link. We’re lucky he’s available with Vidic out, he’s a class act imo. Loved every minute of that goal on Sunday! He’s been praised as future England Captain and written off as utter shite all in the space of one short career. Glad to read he’s got his head screwed on!
United till I die.
mate you’re squeezing in Evans and Rio into one guy in your comment ahaha
Regarding tom Ince i really don’t see it being much more than speculation. Our new formation (which still needs to be tested against top 4 opposition) doesn’t really call for wingers and with 3 wingers at United I don’t see the point of adding another to the ranks (if Nani stays that is, which i hope he does). Now I haven’t really seen anything other than highlights here and there as I don’t watch the Championship but all i see is a potentially GOOD winger, not a great one. Let’s see how it all pans out though.
Oh and I’m loving the energy Rooney’s brought to our midfield. And if he’s happy playing there I say we go for it
