Yes we do,both Fletcher and the dud need replaced unlikely Fletcher will ever be fit enough unfortunatel.As for the dud he never at any time has been fit.
I am not sure what or how the squad can be strengthen… Currently, I am only seeing the offensive part being the strongest since Ronaldo left. The rest of the squad is still in bad shape. The midfield is not holding well enough at times and open too much space for attacks and the defense is like having a large hole in the middle of the wall.
Although I understand why some fans took a swipe at our players and why some tried to defend them, but sometimes I can’t help thinking what has happen to the talent they have and what is wrong with them. We had the talents, United gave them good wages and benefits, we had world class players but somehow after years of playing together as one team, we still had so much problems with performing at a decent rate. At times, United looks like a tiger chasing its prey and at times, we look like a sick n unmotivated tiger taunted n disturbed by a lesser predator and at times we look liked an almost lifeless and dead tiger. With the talent and wages paid to the players, United should be performing well with at least 70% above average performance. However, over the last few years, I am looking United as if they are F1 Ferrari which is drove by one of the best driver but having a car engine which is under-perform. We have the talents but the whole engine is not working.
Now, I am a very concern fan who do not know how to defend our players anymore. At times, I question what is the use of buying players with such a high price tag when perhaps United could get someone who has less talent but a good work rate and can constantly getting the job done. I also don’t know where would United stand if not for RVP and attacking co (inclusive of our defensive players who score). I know injury has hampered our progress but I just could not accept that just cause we lose 1 or 2 players, the whole team is like a jigsaw puzzle that couldn’t fit anymore. Where are the other pieces that we had as spare?
I don’t like to blame the players and manager but at the current stage, are we back to the stage where we need to rebuild half or the whole squad? Are we at the stage where our master chef SAF is losing his ability to taste for the correct recipe? If United is a big corperation in the business world, such inconsistency would have led to the worst outcome that Donald Trump would just say,’ you’re fired’. I can’t say how much torment for SAF to find the correct tonic for his team current performance but I am not sure what can be done anymore as SAF mentioned before not knowing what to do with the defense. If United as a team do not find back the motivation and their own self, we might go back again to last years sadness. The 7 points now is nothing but a small comfort behind the danger that lurk behind the whole squad. I supposed everyone realized how much the wind of changes could twist the whole BPL saga. I pray that the team can stand firm through this tough time and finding what they are capable of.
