It was my left boot- very Andreas Brehme the way I delivered it razor sharp with whip, dip and bend on a pin-head.

Ah!! Sharpey is my all time favourite character to have ever laced up the boots for United. Really too bad that way things went with him and Fergie. Makes me want to tear my hair out sometimes the way Fergie treats some players but you can’t really argue with success.

If ever you get a chance and you’re a fan of United it’s worth a read of Lee Sharpe’s Autobiography. Really great read and insight into the United dressing room between 89-95. Lee probably tells the red faced angry screaming Fergie pulling Giggs out of the party story even better than Giggs does. And the way he describes Cantona is priceless.
If you’re a younger United fan. Check it out.
