“if we are not in the top 4 by the end of the season I think it is safe to say he is gone, however that’s not all I want we need to start brining in some significant Silverware and I think giving 1 or 2 more seasons Liverpool can achieve this under Rafa.”

    so very true!

That Liverpool blog is priceless. One of them mentions the bigger clubs. Puts united first on his list (although he did say man u) but we’ll forgive him on this occasion. Did you ever think youd see the day?

It’s definitely Giggs over Scholes (though not by a huge margin).

As the authour says – Giggs has more medals, more goals and more appearances. He’s also played longer for his national team to boot – whereas Scholes quit England to prolong his career and preserve his form.

Giggs is also a more all-rounded player – he can score, assist, get by his man and unlike Scholes he can actually track back and tackle his man without the constant risk of getting send off.

A great player Scholes may be – but whilst he’s lost a step, can no longer be relied upon against the best of teams and is used sparingly – Giggs has found new life, and has again been one of our best players this season.

Indeed, Giggs is Utd’s marquee player on the modern era.

does anyone know why a player like tosic, who is playing well and representing his country regularly, can’t get picked for the first team squad. he has been at the club for almost a year but he hardly gets a runout at all. is it because he’s not tall enough, too lightweight or not speedy enough? if so, why then was he bought in the first place? was it to accommodate the purchase of adem ljajic who’s joining the club in january? looks like even obertan has jumped the queue and overtaken him in the scheme of things.
