    I don’t know but Studs Up prank seems sick to me

  2. Costas says:

    Yeah don’t get what’s funny or even tasteful about the Studs Up sketch.

  3. loughie21 - TPL says:

    @ The Real AB – Studs up is really really hit and miss. Sometimes it really makes me laugh and sometimes the joke is about a bit of poo they’ve made look like Benitez which makes me never wanna read it again its so unfunny. Today was definately a miss.

  4. The Real AB says:

    @loughie21 – TPL

    May be you are right they are Hit and Miss regarding the quality of humor but today’s this work of theirs is Sick, Nothing to do with Humor.

  5. willierednut says:

    Who’s the old gal in the picture?

  6. loughie21 - TPL says:

    @ The Real AB

    I completely agree! I’ll only ever check out that site again if Scott recommends it in one of his Reads

  7. Costas says:

    @willierednut

    Auld Slapper?

  8. willierednut says:

    Costas – Or new slapper?

  9. ericisking says:

    Studs up is great, whether it’s sick or not, for its ability to nonchalantly and casually just make fun of just about everything thats good and bad about football.
    But this one was a bit over the limit…

  10. mufc4life says:

    even if it was terry or cole, its stil nt funny. writer should be shot

  11. Red Canuck says:

    Thats funny, if it was Stevie G you’d be laughing

  12. willierednut says:

    Lies, lies and more lies!!

  13. willierednut says:

    http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/443690582?-11193

    Sorry, i forgot to post the link lol, lies!!

  14. Costas says:

    @willierednut

    Come on mate. You knew it was coming! He is tired of the English press, he wants to find peace in Madrid, blah blah blah. Funny how the English press always like to evaluate which player or manager is tired of the treatment he gets from them. Wishful thinking perhaps?

    @Red Canuck

    That’s retarded and it’s not funny no matter which club you support.

  15. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    have to sayive been very vocal about my dismay about rooney and the actions of the man

    but i cant see much wrong with the studs up thing

    wasnt the funniest joke ive read as i kinda seen where they were going half way through but still there is nothing sick about it

  16. willierednut says:

    I’ve seen sicker, a bit distasteful though.

  17. King Eric says:

    God I am fucking bored. This international break has felt like 2 months. Just wanna get back to watching proper football. Another few weeks then another bastard break. Not remotely interested.

    Off topic but why on earth are we STILL being linked with Benzema 9 days after the window closed?

  18. willierednut says:

    King Eric – Probably because he scored last night lol. I see Spain got a hammering in Argentina, always nice to see that happening.

  19. Keano16 says:

    That fixture list has the Liverpool game as Sat 19th even tho it should be Sun 19th. NOT BUYING IT!!!

  20. Costas says:

    Sell Rooney to Real and pay 50 mil to get Benzema in return.

  21. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    willierednut

    did you see tevez goal

    pepsi reina fucked up and tooked and rolled in such a funny way- id be investigating match fixing after that one

  22. Berbatov's Love Life says:

    @Mufc4life

    Writer should be shot??? bit of an overreaction maybe?

  23. Costas says:

    Trust Reina to fuck up a World Cup winning side.

  24. Red Canuck says:

    Sorry Costas, didnt mean to rattle your cage. It’s just not a big deal to me the personal lives of the players and they can be made fun of like any other person. I love Rooney just as much as the next supporter and wish him the best.

  25. Costas says:

    @Red Canuck

    Nah, it wasn’t about making fun of Rooney’s situation. He put himself in this predicament and of course they are going to make fun of him. It’s the price of fame. I didn’t like the joke itself. I think there are better ways to poke fun at him than incest jokes.

  26. willierednut says:

    GHTT – I didn’t see that, but Reinas had a nightmare start this season, hope it continues in 2 weeks time.

  27. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    its such a fuck up that even after he falls and rolls he gets up and is still closer to the ball than tiny tevez

  28. bigphil2003 says:

    I don’t usually find studs up funny but that Rooney one made me laugh. It’s not really an incest joke, it’s playing off the fact that Rooney’s portrayed by the media as a dumb hick.

  29. bigphil2003 says:

    @willierednut – According to that article he’ll look to leave if the shitstorm doesn’t die down “in the next few days”. So if it’s died down in a few weeks he’ll still be looking for a move in the summer? So many bullshit articles based on absolutely nowt.

  30. hmm says:

    another funny studs up, but seriously anyone who finds that ‘sick’ is seeing something that isn’t there at all,

    …..which makes me think you might be a bit sick yourself :)

    or a self-righteous cock of course..

  31. hmm says:

    and the Benitez poo one was genius for gods sake..whats wrong with people?

  33. Red Canuck says:

    @ Costas,
    Fair enough bro

  34. mufc4life says:

    no over reaction.

  35. willierednut says:

    bigphill03 – Yeah, it the Madrid press up to their old tricks again, but there wasting their time, wazzas going nowhere.

  36. Costas says:

    @hmm

    No need to take shots at those that don’t share your sense of humor.

    The joke still sucks by the way.

  37. Costas says:

    Going by Ras Mugo’s link, Rio is ready for Goodison Park. :)

  38. DEVILisRED says:

    this will fit nicely into “our sign them young policy”.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVPYMgSRuEc
    check it out lads…..

  39. GTull says:

    It’s a light hearted joke and ‘hmm’ is right, anyone who sees it as sick is seeing something that just isn’t there.

    ‘Red Canuck’ is also right, if it was Gerrard, Terry or anyone else we hate you’d have found it amusing.

    Let’s face it, whether we should care or not about his private life, we’re all a little embarrased about this. I think we’ve all had to re-evaluate our opinions of Wazza this week, particularly when so many of us were so ‘self-righteous’ and scathing during the Terry-Bridge saga

    So if during this tricky period surrounded by revelations, bad headlines and seemingly no light at the end of the Rooney-gate tunnel, it’s probably quite healthy to take a step back and have a laugh at ourselves and at Roon’s indescretions… What’s wrong with that?

    Absolutely nothing.

  40. aig alex is god says:

    Its a done deal. Rooney wants peace and wants to be out of the spotlight. he will Join Madrid in Jan and we will get Benzema plus 30 million and then we will get Jose for free in 2012.

  41. aig alex is god says:

    @Costas

    i hope its true mate. Evans struggles under pressure or when he plays against physical strikers like Zamora. Saha wont be easy to handle so Rio being back would be good for us. Evans still needs to learn from Vidic

  42. Costas says:

    @AIG

    Nice to see you are pessimistic as always, lol.

    Anyway, I don’t think Evans is an option for Everton. He missed last Friday’s game with a groin injury and no one knows how serious it is. I am not a big fan of Rio starting seeing as he hasn’t played a lot of football in the last 3 months(45 minutes to be exact), but we might not have an option. It will be either him or Smalling partnering Vidic. Brown is out of favour right now it seems…

  43. King Eric says:

    gotta hate – Ha ha. Saw the Reina debacle last night. What a cunt.

    I actually wouldn’t risk Rio at Goodison. Not the best place to start with NO match fitness. Stick with young Jonny for this one and bring Rio back for Rangers game. Everton ‘s weak part is their strikers. Will Saha even be fit? If so Vida can mark him. I am sure Evans can cope with Beckford.

  44. King Eric says:

    Costas – Hello mate. Oh shit yes Evans may not be fit. Don’t think Wes is out of favour, he ha s been getting match fit with Ole’s lot.

  45. aig alex is god says:

    @Costas

    I thought you needed some pessimistic company. lol

    Honestly would have fancied an easier first game for rio Like West Ham but i would prefer him over Smalling who looks confused and puzzled at times. Vidic obviously will be the key. A lot depends on him

  46. willierednut says:

    Is Saha not injured? If Jonnys fit he’ll play, plus Rios back, which is a bonus.

  47. King Eric says:

    williurednut – Think so mate.

  48. aig alex is god says:

    king eric

    Saha is doubtful but not ruled out yet

  49. Costas says:

    I am also wondering if Saha will be fit. According to a website that documents injuries, there’s no return date for him yet. Neville and Rodwell will probably make it though.

    @King Eric

    Hi mate. Don’t know. He has found it hard to find a place on the bench since the start of the season. Is Smalling a more reliable option at this point? As you said, at least he is getting match practice in some form.

  50. King Eric says:

    Costas – No I would personally prefer Brown to Smalling obviously but then its not up to me. Too much of a cauldron for Smalling at this stage but we never know!

    aig – Hello. Cheers mate.

  51. aig alex is god says:

    @King Eric

    Hi mate. Hope you are good

    Party time in the USA over. Time to go back to Bombay. The only good thing is i can watch the games again after missing the last 2. See everyone in a few days

  52. Costas says:

    @King Eric

    I am not judging him. Not until he completes a season or two with us anyway. Just thought that it was an indication that Wes is not among Fergie’s first choices right now.

    @AIG

    Whoever plays though, a lot will depend on the midfield as well. That should be our first priority going into Saturday’s game. Rooney starting might determine how we line up…

  53. willierednut says:

    A bit puzzling Wes Brown being left out in favour of others, I’d feel more comfortable if he’s involved on Saturday.

  54. bigphil2003 says:

    From the Rio article:
    “Checking their messages: Rio Ferdinand and his wife Rebecca play with their mobile phones as they relax on holiday in France”

    He’s clearly on twitter as usual

  55. Drew Vader says:

    Willie — I honestly think he’s a good player and nothing more. I would take Nani and Valencia over him any day of the week. And I rate Bale over him as well. Just my opinion though of course.

  56. willierednut says:

    Drew Vader – I’d expect you to take Valencia and Nani over Johnson, they do play for us after all. I look at Tosic, and what we payed for him, i just think Johnson would’ve been the better option.

  57. Costas says:

    Johnson was the one who got that goal for MIddlesbrough at OT in a Carling Cup tie 2 years ago? It was a good goal, but he didn’t seem anything special to me at the time. Seems like he has improved a great deal since. Not the first time Sir Alex misjudges a talent. You win some you lose some.

  58. Drew Vader says:

    Haha Tosic?? F yeah that would have been better! We could have even thrown in the money from his Serbian teenage mate that we were all convinced was going to be Kaka, Ljiac, or whatever.

    But even trying to remove my red tinted view, I seriously think Nani is a far superior winger.

  59. Drew Vader says:

    Costas — The recent talent that we missed out on I think was Ramsey. He is a fantastic CM

  60. willierednut says:

    Drew Vader – Keep your red tinted glasses on mate, mines on all the time lol.

  61. Costas says:

    @Drew

    We were really close with that one. But then again, the always looks to develop young players, so you can never tell if we will regret missing out on someone.

  62. Costas says:

    *the club always*

  63. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    Saha is Out

    and so is Rodwell

    it was on Evertons site 2 days ago

  64. Drew Vader says:

    Costas — True. We have Matty James as a promising young CM.

    Not to mention Drinkwater, and possibly Cory Evans. Not to mention further down the line with Pogba and Tunnicliff

  65. willierednut says:

    Costas – Apparently, we were looking at Johnson since he was young kid, his performance last night belied his years and is imo better player than Walcot.

  66. Costas says:

    @willierednut

    It’s a toss up right now. Walcott is starting to show signs of maturity too. Johnson is more diverse though. Johnson probably did a Nani and started coming into his own in 2010. Or maybe Mankini’s influence helped, lol.

    @Drew Vader

    And of course I hope that Cleverley reaches his potential too. If I had one request from our Academy, is that we produce more attacking minded midfielders.

  67. willierednut says:

    GHTT – Rodwell and Saha out? Things looking up then, but we’ve still got to do the job.

  68. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Love this bander, I can sense the return of football! Ah, the smell of the grass. Let’s rip em to shreds.
    Get in you Reds!

  69. FletchTHEMAN says:

    …banter…. Sheesh/

  70. 0161-Jon says:

    that studs up sketch is fucking abysmal

  71. King Eric says:

    Johnson DID play well last night and he has looked decent this season. However against proper teams who can defend I ain’t convinced. He is better than Theo though in my opinion. I am better than Walcott and I am 13 half stone , smoke and nearly 36!! Have to laugh when the gooners chant “Theo” at every game. Sounds a bit gay.

  72. King Eric says:

    Costas – Hi mate. Have we really EVER gone with out and out attacking midfielders though? At the minute we have Cleverley, James, Eikrem, Ajose coming through who can all play that role. Sorry won’t be able to respond now till morning.

  73. FletchTHEMAN says:

    In other news: Have City named Tevez Captain?! Thought it was just talk, but more sites seem to be picking up on it.

  74. Costas says:

    @FletchTHEMAN

    He is very talented. Don’t know if he is United quality though. If we were going to sign him, then he would need a lot of work in terms of his physique. So he could be another Tosic case.

    I said this the other day, but we should take these rumors with a grain of salt. His club are in the middle of a takeover bid and I don’t think selling him is a top priority. Nor do they need the money I may add. I think an offer along the lines of what we payed for Bebe will be enough…

    @King Eric

    You are right. I meant wingers too. I know that we have them in the youth squads, but I’d like to see more of them make it in the first team. Looking at our team throughout the years, I think Becks and Giggsy were the last winger to go through our youth ranks and establish themselves in the first team. The good thing is that with Welbeck and Kiko, we finally have good strikers coming through.

  75. FletchTHEMAN says:

    @Costas, Agree about the grain of salt! Think someone ought to
    start a web score card for news outlets and success in predicting transfers.
    Kind of thing you woudn’t be dealing with whole numbers for most of these places.
    I bet places like the Mirror would need to be ranked with decimals out to several places. IMO.

    Success in predicting transfers: Overall Transfers to United
    i. Daily Mirror 0.008 0.00000001
    ii. NOTW 0.007 0.0000001

    To return to my point about Tevez as Captain of the blue moon lot, Great to know that their captain
    will be delivering the half time pep talk in spanish and the BBC will need to send a translator to the post match interview. This is going to be a thrill a minute.

  76. willierednut says:

    Fish eyes Houllier is back in the prem lol.

  77. united.george says:

    Hmmm…first that weird kissing the blackburn badge, then bowing down to the fans…..i am probably reading too much into this, but still…

    http://sport.virginmedia.com/football/article/2010/09/08/diouf_focused_on_blackburn_1?

  78. Drew Vader says:

    Costas — If he ever recovers from his Saha/Hargo like injury problems, that Italian lad Petrucci is supposed to be a class attacking creative midfielder

  79. Champ says:

    Viva wesley snipes

  80. Champ says:

    My next door neighbour has a cadillac for sale, I’ll make you a good deal.

  81. bchilds says:

    Anyone been reading the arguements between Rio and Robbie Savage on Twitter? twitter.com/rioferdy5 – a lot of bad blood still there!

  82. hooligankicker says:

    So what are we thinking re Rooney at Goodison?

    My thoughts are start him – he seems to be on top of his football since the story broke and he has to face the music with playing away from home at some point and prove he can do it without losing his head……Any other thoughts?

  83. bchilds says:

    @hooligankicker

    My thoughts are leave him out of the 16. I seriously doubt his mental well being and at Goodison it will only be made worse. We need him but if he gets wound up we’ll miss him for the next 3 games rather than just 1. I wouldn’t risk him.

  84. MG says:

    Oh here we go

    Someone said to me today that burning the Koran would be the equivalent of United fans burning a city shirt or a liverpool one…

    I said to him pretty clearly without the use of 18 cert language

    No we wouldn’t – because United don’t do that – because this family is bigger an better than them all – because when they sing Munich we do not burn none of their shirts – we may not like them but that doesn’t mean we can’t live without them

    He questioned me why I said this the way I did

    I told him because Manchester United will take on everyone – because United cherish the fight – because United do not walk away from a challenge.

    He said to me it doesn’t make sense

    I told him that we honour those fallen heroes of ours that passed away in 58. I told him that this club stands for a reason. I told him that Manchester United will never die, I told him we ask of no team to finish yet they all ask for us to finish

    I told him that defiance is born through adversity – we have it no other club does.

    He walked away

    If anyone wants a lesson it’s this. If they hate you answer them back by not hating them in return but by showing them that you are more powerful and sincere than them.

    This is my club – this is my shirt – here endith the lesson

  85. parryheid says:

    Get him in there.As for him getting wound up what,s new.

  86. Costas says:

    @bchilds

    This is priceless, lol. Two 30+ year olds exchanging embarassing insults over twitter.

    Rio is owning him by the way, but what else is new?

  87. FletchTHEMAN says:

    @MG Good man, well said. Think you ought to send this off to a certain wacko minister in Georgia who is thinking of burning Korans on 9/11. I think your style is much more appropriate. IMO

  88. Costas says:

    @Drew

    Oh yeah, completely forgot about him. He was billed the new Totti when we signed him. Fimgers crossed he stays free of injuries from now on.

  89. Sanj says:

    Let’s all laugh at City:

    Jérôme Boateng, the £10.5m recruit from Hamburg has not featured at all because of a knee problem he exacerbated when a drinks trolley rolled into him on a plane.

  90. Costas says:

    @Sanj

    Lol. So now they are coming up with excuses in order to avoid playing in the crappy shirt?

  91. united.george says:

    Balotelli is out for 6 weeks now too….

  92. Costas says:

    @united.george

    Did a golf cart run over his leg?

  93. MG says:

    FletchTHEMAN

    I’ll tell you what my shirt has taught me

    To be better to respect everyone – no matter what they do otherwise to you

    When Sir Alex says that he builds a better class of player – I think he should extend that to all of us

    We have a duty to build a better world – all of us – because this shirt says so – because our history demands it

    How ironic then that we have a red devil on our badge – yet here we have to do better to become better – the pastor should make sense of that – it’ll blow his fucking mind wide open

    Much like those Malaysian muslim priests that abhor the badge

    Fucking idiots – I wear this shirt with pride no one but no one can ever tell me that it isn’t worth it.

    It is the United way and that is the whole point.

  94. RedScot says:

    Great Links as per normal.Fantastic this day in fact.

    I am sure Scott wont Object he put up the link on the last ROM reads use it Lads Lasses if you live in the United Kingdom.
    We need this sorted not only for the future of United , but other British football clubs.
    The Clubs that may be attacked bye Sharks and people with only self interest in their planning.

  95. Jaandsdad says:

    Enjoyed the studs up as always,not sure where ” incest ” comes from . It was clearly having a joke at wayne’s supposed thickness. previous strip was funny as fook.anyone with a weak stomach should not google

  96. united.george says:

    @costas, no golf cart, i think his leg got stuck up mancini’s ass….honestly I think he hurt himself in the second game he played for city….

    who knows? maybe with 6 weeks off, he is bound to do something really stupid and take some heat off rooney…

  97. FletchTHEMAN says:

    @united.george. Yes, Balotelli sustained the injury in his first game in for City. MCFC www site saying he is out 6weeks, due to “lateral meniscus, one of the two most crucial structures in the knee”, Not looking good, and could be more. Hate to see anyone of these great athletes injured. Hope he can bounce back, but he is a bit of a thoroughbred, high strung. He looks snake bit. Still, I would love to see all there best players on the pitch when we slaughter them at the wasteland. Count down to October 11!
    We are coming to get our trophy back!

  98. RedScot says:

    Is There A fixture rearrangment? I might be missing something here, probably a “lateral meniiscus” lmao
    I think its November 1Oth you mean. But we all make mistakes right.
    i love you too Fletch!
    Nite reds.
    Believe.
    Just Fucking do.

  99. Long John O'Shea says:

    Here Chaps, I’ve cut this from Football365, I believe Scott could use this as his next instalment of “This IS How It Feels To Be City”

    SILVA RETURNING TO SPAIN?
    It’s surely way, way too early for this sort of story but The Daily Mail claims that ‘Atletico Madrid are monitoring David Silva’s situation at Manchester City.’

    Which is what? Earning a huge amount of money and gradually settling into life in the north-west? Apparently not.

    ‘The big money signing from Valencia this summer has struggled in the opening weeks of the season and City manager Roberto Mancini admits the Spaniard needs time to adjust to the Premier League,’ says the Mail.

    ‘However, Atletico are ready to make a move should Silva remain on the fringe of the first team.’
