We had some brilliant entries for the Republik of Mancunia Summer Competition and it was really hard work to get these shortlisted to just eight.
The winner will claim a RoM shirt of their choice and prizes will be sent out to the remaining seven people who entered.
The winners were voted for by the staff of the RoM forum, Red Ranter, Ahmed Bilal of Soccerlens, Ed of United Rant, Rob Smyth of The Guardian, Chris Toy of Studs Up and James Ryddel of A Kick In The Grass.
So, drum roll please, starting with the 8th-5th placed entries:
Damian Melaugh shows a popular favourite moment of the season with Federico Macheda’s celebration after scoring the winner against Aston Villa.
Vinay Nair was also a fan of the Macheda moment but believed his entry was “what Manchester United is all about”.
Prem Kumar from India drew Ben Foster’s Carling Cup winning save against Tottenham Hotspur back in February.
Adam Byrczak showed Patrice Evra’s celebration following Michael Carrick’s late winner against Wigan. Taking the piss out of the FSW? Never.
The winner and three runners up will be announced later today…

The first one looks somewhat like an edited picture.Were those allowed?
I think the top picture might be edited with something else than MS Paint. The background is not as detailed as Macheda, it looks like someone used a cartoonized tool in some picture software to do this.
But we should perhaps give him the benefit of the doubt. There is a chance that he did this by himself and has good artistic abilities, the pixels look very detailed. If someone is good we shouldn’t necessarily assume he’s cheating…

it was me who created the first one , the whole thing was done in ms paint by using the eyedropper tool and then filling areas . tbh i just filled the face because i didnt want it to look crap ! didnt enter to win , and certaintly didnt mean to cheat
just did it for the fun of it (and sheer boredom) aw well ! sorry guys , honest mistake , forgive and forget
