Tevez was the biggest mover in the top 10, going from his position at 38th last season with West Ham, to 8th this season with United. Thanks to his Argentinian roots, as well as his successful stints at Boca Juniors, as well as Brazilian side Corinthians, his name is well known in South America.

Where the hell is the University of Navarra? Anyway what people should realise is that this is only about the most TALKED ABOUT footballers, not who is the best (yes, we all know Ronaldo is one of if not the best, let’s not get into a discussion about that, its not really relevant). This basically goes down to the media and who they cover i.e. Ronaldo is there not only because of his quality but because of this Real Madrid transfer that has been in the papers since his mum said she wanted him to go there during last season (or was it before, I can’t remember).

don’t get me wrong, i love united more than anything, i just don’t see the point of some list made by some unknown university, making a list of who is popular. it’s hardly relevant and isn’t going to put trophies in the cabinet.
i also think it’s a bit sad getting excited by the fact we have 3 in the list and it therefore makes us better?!
