Ronaldo: United Still The Kings Of England

Cristiano Ronaldo was disappointed to see City win the league last weekend but says that United are still the “kings of England.”

“I saw a few days ago they scored two goals in the last minutes, 91 and 93,” he said. “I had a bet that Manchester United would win the league but I lost. I feel very disappointed because United are still in my heart. City have a fantastic team now, but I think Manchester will carry on being kings of England.”

Teasing like usual, Ronaldo left the door open to a potential return to United.

“The future? Nobody knows,” he said. “But I feel very happy here. It’s a great club, fantastic fans… it’s great. In one year or two you never know. A man’s head is always complicated.”

CR7 is right and we will make up for it in 2012/13 – just have to ensure these bad injuries don’t keep happening

My apologies to all in advance – I have to go Wastelands on June 22 (through choice) for Bruce Springsteen concert. Afterwards I will wash twenty times to ensure the stench is removed :o )

  2. Gorse Hill Red says:

Would be nice to have him back but unfortunatly we cannot afford him. Bank payments are our priority nowerdays.

  3. CedarsDevil says:

I love how our ex foreign players refer to us simply as ‘Manchester’ Cantona always does that……

Only one club in Manchester, only one team in the North West

  4. JP7 says:

Come home Ronnie!! Your no. 7 shirt awaits you

  5. Redbilly says:

Ronnie had class, and he knows class when he sees it. What I would not give to see him rip into those emmmmm oh yes the other manc team city .

I see him walking up the tunnel with his new german buddy schwienstieger .

  6. cheshire101 says:

Well Ronnie, why don’t you come back to us and help us confirm that status?
On a serious note, yes, United will always be the kings of England.
Why is Mancini asking for another massive transfer budget?
Because he knows…he knows City lucked out to win on goal difference even with a dream team that they’ve got against an average Untied side which was missing several key players throughout the season.
Watch out Bobby Manc, Jonesy, Smalling, Rafael, Petrucci, Keane, Tunniclife and Cleverley are coming to get you!
You are the Real Madrid of England and we’ll be your Barcelona! mauahahahaha
ps. both of these spanish teams are scummy

  7. Fabio says:

That boy Ronaldo said citeh were sh1te:)

  8. WillieRedNut says:

He’s still plugging that, only God knows crap. Change your tune Ronnie! :)

  9. samuel - united WE stand says:

Willie – No one else knows, only GOD does though? i don’t know if you’re an atheist or anything.

Anyway, ronaldo is still a class act on the pitch. He’s walking the spanish league easily, scoring ridiculous amount of goals. I highly doubt he’d return to united while he’s in his peak at the moment or at any time if i’m honest. 6 Wonderful years of footballing brilliance he gave united. Probably not quite a legend but he certainly made his mark to argue that case.

  10. King Eric says:

Go on Ronnie . Says it all when he states “Manchester will carry on being kings of England”. Ha. Only ONE team in Manchester.

  11. King Eric says:

Yeah what a fucking cunt Mancini is saying they will invest alot again. Fuck me. They make me bring bile up. Just fucking throw money at it. United will be a different animal next season. Fucking prick. “plaaaayers” Urrggh his accent annoys me to fuck. I also hope Nasri dies.

  12. keano86 says:

LEGEND best player I’ve seen in my lifetime i’d swap ANY united player to have him back because you basically sart the match one nil up with him in the team.

  13. Brendan says:

Lads if we had city’s owner we’d be buying massive and laughing at every other club, to suggest otherwise is bollocks…were broke there rich, get over it, crying on here city bought the title, we bought Rooney , rio, nani, Anderson , de gea etc for massive money, how many titles did we buy then?

  14. champions99 says:

ronnie is saying the same shit he said before he left us and knew he was going to madrid .mark my words he will sign for city in about 2 years these players arent like me or you they have no loyalty and money will kill me to see it happen but its only a matter of time.

  15. Costas says:

“A man’s head is always complicated.”

That’s an awesome line. Right up there with the polemic line. Of course only God knows, but as long as Ronaldo is in his prime, the other Manchester club has a better chance of signing him than we do.

  16. WillieRedNut says:

    Only Fergie knows…..

  17. Atin says:

champions 99 – while I can understand the sentiment behind that statement, I sincerely believe Ronaldo’s not going to do that. If there is one thing in this world that he remembers, its the support SAF gave him when he went through his personal hell of having to bury his dad. You can feel the warmth in the relationship whenever either of them speak about the other. Although, I do think that going by wage demands and all, Citeh are the only other club in the world (after Real Madrid) who can meet them. Let’s see what happens in 2-3 years time. Hoping he doesn’t commit the ultimate mistake.

  18. WillieRedNut says:

    Only CQ knows too….. ;)

  19. JP7 says:

Brendan – We earned our money to buy those players. Sh*tty didn’t. There’s the difference

  20. Redbilly says:

King Eric- didn’t Nasri have a cameo role in pulp fiction, as the gimp.

  21. red_bycicle says:

    Viva Ronaldo..
    Viva Ronaldo..

  22. Fred says:

Viva Ronaldo! 8) We will get our trophy back next season, YHIHF.

  23. champions99 says:

    Atin .the ultimate sin…

  24. MG says:

    It’s polemic

  25. Utd4life says:

Ronaldo is a force of nature. He is probably the only game changing player we have had in the last 4-5 years. There was a time this season when I wished he was back with us but I am more anxious and eager to see the likes of Will Keane, Petrucci, Tunni and a few more players from the reserves make the step up rather than see Ronaldo back at OT.

  26. Dave Mack says:

Keano 86 your right. He’s literally worth a goal a game which is what he’s done since he went to RM. As such he’s one of those players who makes more space for everyone else by simply being on the pitch.

Maybe in a few years time he’ll have made so much money he’ll come back for free! He’s always been very loyal about anything he says relative to SAF or MUFC. Just as long as he never joins City.

  27. LoneStarRed says:

    @ Cheshire101 11:38

TRUE THAT. Mancini KNOWS he lucked out. Almost a BILLION dollars and all he can do to beat an injury ravaged team is goal difference. We gave that Championship away.

  28. utd_fc says:

I love Ronaldo esp at United but now that’s memories. I wouldn’t want a 30 year old Ronaldo past his prime to come back. I’d rather him have aged at OT but that’s not the choice he made and I don’t hold that against him; I just don’t Madrid have used the best of what we created and give him back.

  29. utd_fc says:

    don’t want madrid to have*

  30. NBI Red Onion says:

    Love u Chrissy – mwaaa! x

  31. Nawaaz Casoojee says:

Well I agree with Cristiano. City were the better side this season and United are in a transitional phase. We’ve done well to push City all the way and although it was heartbreaking way of losing the title on the dramatic final day, there’s no doubt that City are worthy winners.
United though, always respond to these challenges, and so Sir Alex will now build another side to dominate Englaish football once again. This will take time though, but looking at the side now,the likes of Welbeck,Chicharito,De Gea,Jones,Smalling,Nani,Young and Valencia will all improve further, and with new additions to the side, the future still looks bright!
I’m pretty sure Sir Alex will look to strenghthen his defense as without Vidic this season,we have been inconsistent in that department.
Central midfield is the key are for me,as bar Carrick and Scholes,we find ourselves short of options. Anderson and Cleverley seem to be injury prone and the future of Darren Fletcher seems uncertain, and so with Scholesy in probably his final season at the club,we need a long term successer if not two!

  32. TheHeartOfManchesterBeats says:

You knwo ‘I still love Manchester…’ stuff from ex-players irritates the hell out of me!But Ronaldo was right this time.
Te heart of Manchester still beats, and it still pumps RED blood :-)

  33. SimonJ says:

    Still love Ronaldo!!
