Manchester United equalled the record number of English league titles last season, which had been held by Liverpool since 1990.
Currently at the top of the table, Wayne Rooney has claimed that it would be a massive achievement to win the title again this season.
“I’ve always felt the league is the most important one to win, but especially this year,” said Rooney. “If we do that it will be four on the run, which no one has done before. And we would go above Liverpool’s number of titles so to do it this year would be a big, big moment for everyone at the club.”

Hi mate. It sure is. It’s a great insentive. When you win 3 in a row, complacency can always creep in. But there’s so much at stake this season, that this won’t happen.
My preference would be the league anything we do in Europe is a bonus.
First, lets beat Liverpool next week and then we can talk about how sweet it will be to beat their titles. And I hope Wayne doesn’t reiterate his hatred for them before the game as it is bad luck!

@Fze123 – We said same thing in October looked what happened then. Although I think we’ll do them, we just have to concentrate on winning games no matter how ugly. Hopefully we get a nice draw next Friday regarding Europe don’t fancy cheski or l’arse. Bordeaux or Lyon would be nice.
