… and then The Mirror declares:
‘Despite the blast, Rooney acknowledged that his performance at Celtic did not merit the new, improved contract he would eventually sign later that season.’
If you demand a top wage, earn it!

Sir Alex seems to know what he’s talking about. Imagine that.

The FA saying Young isnt fit isnt the same as Sir Alex saying the others are fit.
By saying a player is unfit means that Fergie has a narrower squad to select from and gives the opposing manager heads up about team selection. Saying a player is fit does the complete opposite, it makes the opposing manager guess a series of possible line ups making match day tactics harder to predict.
