Rooney: Give Giggsy A Statue

Wayne Rooney has sung the praises of his team mate Ryan Giggs, who turned 38-years-old today, claiming that United should put a statue of him outside the ground.

“If there’s one player over the last 20 to 25 years who deserves a statue outside Old Trafford, it’s Ryan Giggs, because what Giggsy has done here is absolutely incredible,” he said. “He made his debut as a 17 year old and so to still be playing at the top level 21 years later is a magnificent achievement. He has been fantastic for this football club and to still be performing so well at his age is phenomenal. Giggsy’s a wonderful example around the club too, the way he trains, the way he prepares and to see him working so hard on his game every day explains why he is so special.”

There is currently a statue of Sir Matt Busby outside Old Trafford and one of Sir Alex Ferguson on the way. George Best, Denis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton, all Ballon d’Or winners, make up the Holy Trinity statue. If Giggs was to get a statue, you would imagine it would be one with Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, who also spent their entire careers with the club.

Appearances
1. Ryan Giggs 887
2. Sir Bobby Charlton 758
4. Paul Scholes 676
5. Gary Neville 602
13. George Best 470
22. Denis Law 404

Ermmm, Scholes needs one too then, so does our Captain Neville.
Scholes,Giggs & Nev deserve a statue together like the Holy Trinity does.

One of SAF will be AMAZING, the man is a fucking BEAST.

  2. Balaji Sivaraman says:

For me the United generation under Sir Alex as well as the man himself deserve statues. If it was the trio of Best, Law and Charlton along with Sir Matt for that great team, it should be Giggs and Scholes (two of the longest serving and most decorated) as well as Sir Alex for this one.

If that’s not possible, then, yeah, Giggsy and Sir Alex definitely deserve statues outside Old Trafford.

This is a brilliant article at ESPNStar.

  3. wayne says:

Before i read the last part thinking the same thing, would have to include G.Nev and Scholes

  4. RedBlizzard says:

An Epic statue would be one of a snarling Ferdinand scooping up Torres

  5. Lionel says:

There’s no way anyone should consider putting a statue of Giggsy up before we get a towering bronze of Ralphie Milne….

Selflessly I have conducted a survey outside Salford Precinct in my spare time, and a whopping 97% of the 1,918 people questioned agreed that Milne has played a more pivotal role in United recent history than Giggs.

  6. WillieRedNut says:

Has to be a statue of Fergie pointing to his stop watch?

  7. RedBlizzard says:

Yeah and that one, actually dont be shocked if Fergie’s commissioned statue is pointing to his watch

  8. ClaytonBlackmoresTan says:

Statue of David May, counting his medals, with Shearer a little green eyed midget behind him.

  9. aimanunited says:

Glazer: Anything wayne, Giggsy statue or yours, hell we can even put bebe statue…as long as you pay with your own money…

  10. WillieRedNut says:

  11. Sandeep1878 says:

Good evening lovely Red Devilsa round the world,

Well said Wazza, Ryan Giggsy deserves it along with Scholesy and Gary..

and about Sir Alex, shud there be any 2nd thought? none at all..

    Willie,

    what up pal,

    i need a favor :)

Can you tell me how much a blogger will charge per hour in Dublin?

Because i happen come across a client who wants me to blog for his fitness company and he is asking me the quote, since i m in Bangalore, i have no idea about the price patterns in Dublin..

if you can give me a ball park figure, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  12. FletchTHEMAN says:

There a several greats who I would suggest deserve recognition.

Giggs could stand alone, but I don’t really think he is so much more deserving than Scholes or Nev for the teams that they led and the trophies they won. Giggs is the talk of the town for outlasting Scholes by a couple of years and deserves some extra credit, but as a talent, one might consider it a modest increase in over all quality.

On a separate note: I have harbored a deep wish to do something significant to stop the 5 sign seen from Liverpool players symbolizing the 5 CL tropies the club has won over 30 odd years but that none of them has achieved personally. One idea would be a new trinity of the everyman United player statue

Titled: We did it 5 times !
One could suggest Wes Brown, John OShea and possibly Rio Ferdinand, all holding up 5 fingers

This would honor lads who have personally won the EPL at least 5 times, something no other club has,
    FIVE CANTONAAAAAAS

  13. Costas says:

And a hottie to spend the night with. ;)

  14. RedBlizzard says:

By the way, some gits apparently committed arson at Old Trafford today

  15. Sandeep1878 says:

    FlethTHEMAN,

    thats excellent idea,

but i hope that Sir Alex will take us to 5th triumph in Europe, that would be the end of the salute and end of scouse scums..

Everytime i see that fucking salute from Stevie me i get pissed to the core, we are so close but so far..

  16. ZuluUtd-Malta says:

    Giggsy 12 + Stevie me 0.
    Statistics talks…….

  17. Mikekelly12 says:

The statue should be of him spinning his shirt around his head after the Semi final goal against Arsenal. It should also use real hair to portray his chest rug, provided by the chest hair of the entire treble winning squad!

  18. markg says:

why should gary neville get a statue ahead of robbo keano or cantona

  19. ricky says:

giggs should not get a statue

  20. Zibbie says:

  72. Fred DiBiase says:

Oh and I see that skinny little dipshit Owen Hargreaves is playing his second (?) game for them tonight. Alongside De Jong no less. Any team who play two fucking holding midfielders must be a bunch of cunts.

LOL @ Carroll’s penalty too. The 35 million pound man can’t buy a goal atm. What a superb signing he has been for the scousers.

  73. CedarsDevil says:

  90. WillieRedNut says:

  91. Fred DiBiase says:

Adam Johnson is rumoured to be on £90,000 a week – Champions League wages for a Championship player. Laughable.

  92. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Watching the Chelshite – Liverpisspool game….

That Left back Bertrand looks like an A.Cole in the making, already has his spark and ability and very similar, the lads probably going to be right A.Hole aswell coming from that scummy team.
That Fella from Barca, Oriol Romeu looks pretty decent too, has his eyes all over the pitch – barca do a fantastic job on their youth.
McEachren is a n overated ball bag, got injured early on but doesn’t any good based on his last 3 apps.
Lukaku is a beast, can be a star when he gets shipped out by Chelsea.

Liverpool’s Kelly is one talented prick, Carragher’s Heir to the throne.
Spearing is their version of Eboue, ugly and hideously crap at football, has admirable tenacity but shit. Carroll is worth Fuck All, wouldn’t even buy him a pint, looks like a right donkey on the pitch.

Boring day…..considering this post is miles off topic.

  93. Fred DiBiase says:

Papii has such a way with words. Fantastic.

  94. James21 says:

    Damn the Forest. :(

  95. WillieRedNut says:

De Jong makes Berba look like Linford Christie. 8)

  96. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Fred dy -
I reckon that Kunt will jump ship like Robingo and Tevez, looks like he can’t handle the cold aready…though he is most likely to hit form when the sun’s out , I wouldn;t say no to him joining us for free ;) He has a killer shot across goal.

  99. Costas says:

So if Hargreaves lasts the 90 it will be his first full game since Moscow? Heh.

    @MG

Hey my friend. That motto is more suited for City’s players. :) We care about simple things in life. Kebabs, friends and in honor of the birthday boy, Imogen Thomas. Got more curves than a F1 track. :P

  100. CedarsDevil says:

    James21

Will end 3 – 2 to Forest….. Come on lads, do it for Cloughie (RIP) Third best manager in the game

  101. CedarsDevil says:

Fuck me, I spoke too soon

  102. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Robingo  I meant Robinho 8) Not a bad typo

—- I like Henderson, reminds of Anderson, the hopeless cases that many have hope for.
Ando will come good, doubt that Henderson will, looks set to underachieve just like his team.
    ——————————-
Warrior is a very good film, I recommend it to you guys, Tom Hardy is a great actor, had me in tears, a mans film. Similar to The Fighter with Christian Bale & Mark Wahlberg which is also a fantastic film. The chick in that is one sexy fesity bitch, would doggy that like a horny gorilla .

Peace out RoM’ers….be back on match day.

  103. MG says:

  106. Fred DiBiase says:

Seen more action than an F1 track too.

  107. James21 says:

A Geordie picks up a prostitute in Wigan. He drops his trousers and she says

The Geordie says ‘What do you mean a Good un?’
    She says ‘A big one’
She then lifts her skirt and drops her knickers.
The Geordie says ‘Wy eye, thats a canny un’
She says ‘Whats a Canny un?’
He replies ‘A great big vally that cowboys ride through’

  108. WillieRedNut says:

MG – Don’t bless that skank mate. She’s been branded, already. ;)

  109. JC says:

I’m still amazed at how inept the equipment manager for Shitty is, how on earth can he week after week keep missing the obvious mispelling on the back of Aguero’s shirt?

  133. WillieRedNut says:

MG – RVP is MIA. ;)

  134. Fred DiBiase says:

  161. MG says:

city are going to win the lot

  162. Costas says:

    @Fred

It’s an easier route, no doubt. I know some will relish the opportunity of facing Pool or City in the semis, but why face both sets of scum if you can only face one? But I can see why the prospect of getting revenge against City at OT (with Hargreaves playing this time) might sound appealing.

But lets beat Palace first and then see what happens,

  163. CedarsDevil says:

City for the 5 duple, extra one for being dumb fucks! hahahaha

  164. CedarsDevil says:

Had me some fun on the side on the Pogba thread with another sad depressed cunt!

    Good nights REDS

  165. Saad says:

Say whatever you like, it’s impressive that City beat Arsenal at the Emirates.

We’re just gonna have to be better than them if we’re gonna win the big trophies.

Any day now, Abramovic is gonna blow his top. There’s only so many home defeats he can digest.

  166. James21 says:

See you ltr Cedars. Probably venture in tomorrow to see what numpties appear.

  167. WillieRedNut says:

    Humpty was a numpty?

    Laters, Mr Devil. :)

  168. James21 says:

Thought Numpty was his thick Brother. :)

  169. Fred says:

Saad – what’s impressive about that? City had a much stronger team out there than Arsenal did.

Costas – if we get City or Liverpool in the next round, Sir Alex will probably choose our first team to compete in those two games, as he did in the semi-final of 09/10. Obviously this carries the risk of fatigue and injury to our most important players, whereas two games against Cardiff would give more opportunities to our young players (and also an opportunity for Giggs to play in his hometown, but that’s by the by.)

  170. MG says:

Numpty was actually a HUmpty

Night Cedars you Devil you ;)

  171. WillieRedNut says:

Did they all do the humpty, humpty dance?

  172. James21 says:

Whoever Numpty is he certainly appears on ROM on Matchdays. :D

  173. FletchTHEMAN says:

LFC and Cittay through to the CC semis. Arsenal and CSKALandon out. Come on United v Palace. Get stuckin lads!

Costas, Chavs are lost as sea. Can’t defend. Fortress Bridge a thing of the past.

  174. MG says:

    Willie

No they did the numpty numpty one instead

  175. avishek says:

hope we get city after beating palace…

  176. avishek says:

but i kind of like the idea of united vs city at the cc final…

  177. WillieRedNut says:

MG – So, you’re saying the numpy numpties done the humpty numpty dance? That’s freaky mate. ;)

  178. James21 says:

Providing we beat Crystal I don’t want shitty in the semi. I’d rather Scouse and the shite go head to head in the semi. I’d rather spank them in the final. Burnstien will probably make sure they get Cardiff tho.
Them bloody Dumpty Brothers are crackin dancers.

  179. smartalex says:

We could get a statue of Tevez, and build a pigeon coop around it. City will probably pay half.
    Make a fortune selling birdseed.

Hey Carlos, what you guano do?

  180. Fred says:

LOL if that were to happen then hopefully it would be a repeat of the Community Shield. ;)

I hate the Carling Cup final btw. I hate the silly pyrotechnic displays and shit music that accompanies the lifting of that shitty little three-handled cup. Terrible!

  181. Fred says:

That was in response to avishek’s comments, btw.

  182. James21 says:

No pigeon in its right mind would go in there with that ugly bastard waiting inside to greet them.

  183. MG says:

    Willie

As you are well aware my goodfellow it’s a weird world

  184. smartalex says:

Venky’s could run a competition amongst their chickens.

Survive a week in the coop with Carlos-worth-Jack-all’s statue, and earn freedom.

  185. avishek says:

    @fred

think it wouldn’t be so terrible if we win the cup by beating city.don’t know why but i want united to beat the hell out of them.

  186. MG says:

    smartalex

    Welcome back!

  187. James21 says:

    Smartalex
    :D Class.

  188. Fred says:

LOL avishek, I can think of many reasons. ;)

First glimpse at the Tevez statue, commissioned by MCFC: http://www.mysticalencounter.co.uk/catalog/images/RF11E.jpg

  189. WillieRedNut says:

Omar got bird. He dead, man.

  190. smartalex says:

Commission that artist! Wow Fred, what a brilliant likeness!

    Cheers James21!

MG – Thank you, my friend.

  191. smartalex says:

    SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT !

  192. WillieRedNut says:

That’s not Carlito Brigante. Wrong bird.

  193. smartalex says:

Carlos! Your transfer papers are here! They’re in your pigeon-hole!

  194. avishek says:

speaking of statues i can think of at least 10-12 of them
    would OT listen to me?
    guess not..

  195. smartalex says:

Give Carlos the bird! Get Manchester’s finest birdseed-laxative right here!

  196. King Eric says:

You fucking lucky cunts city. How much do sky lick their arses. How the fuck did Dzeko get MOM? Fuck me. Hargreaves is finished. Can’t even tackle now. Complete smash and grab. If RVP played arsenal would be through but wengers arrogance cost them.

How shit are the rentboys. Fuck me. A fucking shambles. Luiz is a fucking liabilty. What the fuck was alex doing handling the ball?

Well according to Lesley Hughes city will win it and jamie tight crotch redknapp says the dippers. Is it me or are United getting treated like a two bit fucking club? About tenth on motd. Every cunt writing us off. Every cunt saying City are the team to beat. Fuck off we are champions and will always be the side to beat. Anyway good to see the dippers chanting speeds name. Genuine or a pr stunt? Considering he was an evertonian. Probably me being cynical. Anyway I am getting sick of United getting mugged off at the expense of the sheik cunts.

Viyash Boash is fucked. Gone by Feb.

Had to laugh. Barca crusing at three nowt yet STILL Messi plays the full game. Why? Fucking rest him. Drug cheating bastards. Gotta be. Another thing why the fuck is that rentboy cunt Minto calling sanchez “alexis“. “Two goals by alexis“. What’s with this pretentious first name bollocks in Spain.

Well according to the media United may as well throw in the fucking towel we are fucked. Cunts.

Sorry for the lengthy rant but getting fucking sick of this city wankfest. They have achived fuck all yet and spent nearly a billion and you would think they had recently wrapped up a record 19 titles. Truly fucking sickening.

Right off outside for a bifta to calm the fuck down

  197. smartalex says:

After many years in England, Tevez bought a house, and had it remodelled.
He also instructed the contractor to install a white statue in every room.

With great difficulty, 50 suitable statues were found, bought and one placed in each room.

When Tevez attended the handover of his new dwelling, he was taken a a tour of inspection. After the third room, he angrily asked the builder why there was not a white statue in every room, as per his instruction. Confused, the builder pointed at the beautiful statue standing right before them, and said “There’s a statue, and there’s one just like it in every room!”

Tevez replied “No! No want! Me want statue! You no understand?”
He put his right hand up to his face, with the thumb in his ear, and baby finger to his mouth, and said “Ring! Ring! Hello, statue?”

  198. Mikekelly12 says:

    King Eric
    Quality rant!!

  199. Fred says:

King Eric – didn’t want to say it but I thought exactly the same about the scouse PR stunt.

  200. WillieRedNut says:

Whats up with KK’s Red eye? Someone decked him. ;)

Tight crotch Redknapp. Nice one KE!

  201. Mikekelly12 says:

I thought pantaloons was city’s best player. Arsenal humped them. More city luck!!

  202. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Back on topic.

    Happy Birthday Ryan Giggs.

Author of my Best United goal ever
v Arsenal 99 FA cup semi final replay, down to 10 men, survived a pen, give me the ball boys, can’t get better

Best United Assist ??? have to give it to Patrick Vierra…. who set up Ryan

    Take it home Ryan:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quI_LkMj4HI

    Night you reds.

  203. WillieRedNut says:

Don’t like Bellamy. But fair play to him. Made both goals. I hear he was close to Speed.

  204. King Eric says:

Mike. Cheers mate. Had to get it off my chest. Seriously mate its annoying me. WE are the Champions of england are getting made to look cunts by every tom dick and harry. Every cunt tipping spurs even to win the title. We`ll fucking see. Agree with Fred and you can trawl the archives but I have never rated that squat fat cunt Aguero. Always watched althletico for Forlan and de gea and he never did fuck all to impress me. Like someon else said he won’t stick it llike his countryman Tevez. Another thing that literally makes my skin crawl is those three fucking stars. And don’t get me started on the Poznan. Horrible dirty lottery winning chav cunts.

  205. MG says:

    KE

Have a Lebanese Cedars style ;)

    Goodnight Manchester United

    19

  206. Sparkz says:

I’ve given Giggsy some stick for his last 2 performances, but I will say this.

Make the most of him. He’s still got magic in those boots. The close control, the dribbling, the flicks, the passes. But he could quite conceivably retire at the end of this season. And it will hit us like a ton of friggin bricks.

Same thing happened when Scholesy packed it in. It hits you to realise you’ll never see him control a game, or loft those passes out to the flank. I honestly didn’t think he’d retire though so it was a real shock to the system.

With Giggsy, I’m half expecting it….so I’m making sure I savour every moment of magic he pulls off.

As for the Palace game….really hope we beat them and get City or Liverpool in the semis.

  207. smartalex says:

Even City’s lottery win is directly attributable to United.

If they didn’t share the same first word in their name with us (Manchester), they would never, ever have been an interesting proposition. It is only because the word “Manchester” is world renown and synonymous with ‘excellence’ that the oil-rich Sheik invested in them. To ride the coat-tails of the brightest star, that they may hope to be illuminated by our brilliance.

  208. King Eric says:

Fred. Well it makes you wonder mate. A way of making them look decent moral fans. I aint buying it. They have never chanted a players name who died for another team yet tonight they sing a boyhood evertonians name. Hhmm. As I say it may well have been genuine as nobody dislked gary and he seemed a top bloke. Having said that I think a woman may be involved.

It gets worse with city. Fucking sky asking Mancini if the league cup is important. Fuck off making out like they have won shitloads of major honours and not just one fa cup in thirty five years. Making out the league cup is below a team like these over rated bastards. We`ll see how attacking Mancini is co squeaky bum time.

  209. WillieRedNut says:

I don’t mind Bobby Manc. He showed some class after they beat us. Didn’t gloat, like the FSW would’ve done. 8)

  210. WillieRedNut says:

As for the dippers singing Speeds name? They were winning the game Maybe if the result went against them, they wouldn’t be singing his name. Just a thought.

  211. Fred says:

smartalex – spot on. It makes their newfound riches all the more sickening to me.

King Eric – I doubt we’ll see many other clubs’ fans singing “there’s only one Gary Speed”, other than the clubs he actually played for. Liverpool fans probably used to call him all sorts on account of him being a “bluenose”. Weirdos.

  212. samuel - united WE stand says:

Hope Fergie plays the young players surrounded with a couple of experience ones, would be nice to see morrison and pogba for the full 90+.

  213. Fred says:

Also on something else King Eric mentioned – UEFA should have denied City entry into the Champions League until they removed those fake stars from their badge. Fucking clowns. It makes a mockery of teams who have accomplished great things and proudly wear stars to acknowledge their achievements.

For example, Juventus add a star for every ten league titles they win (they have two stars above their badge.) There are probably kids out there in foreign countries who see City’s badge and think City must have won 30 championships or 3 European Cups or something FFS.

Such a joke of a club.

  214. smartalex says:

Mansour was probably upset with the average quality of the players at the club, and asked “Can’t we get real stars in the City shirts?”

Seriously though, the City ‘stars’ are the clearest ‘wannabe-but-never-gonna-be’ indication I’ve ever seen. Why not go the whole hog, and fill the trophy-room with plastic cups?

  215. smartalex says:

Not dissimilar to a rookie Spitfire pilot marking the fuselage with a whole bunch of ‘kills’, because he thinks it looks nice.

One of my young nephews scores dozens of goals on his play-station, and often calls me to brag about the score-lines. Yet he plays on 2-player mode, hence the opposition all stand still while he muddles his way up the field.

    Cute from a 6 year-old; small-time from a football club.

  216. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    Great Post King Eric

I was in the barbers on Monday and some radio station was discussing Title contenders. They said its “City’s to lose” (Huh, What?), “Spurs & Liverpool would push them tight to the end” ( LOL, are you so serious) Me and my barber Peter burst out laughing for 5 minutes.

 Fucking Totti Hotspuds tipped for the LEAGUE  “More depth” than Utd and Chelsea :???:
Seem like everycunt is inhaling shit through their noses and farting spit out when discussing football.

We Will Win The League, I put the life of one die hard Pisspool supporter on it, I value life but theirs is dispensable ;)

FUCKING SPURS ! WTF, last time I checked we was 2nd playing at 10% for the last 2 months. When we hit form, we wlll ruthlessly rape those in our way, No Arse, mouth, ear, eye, pussy will go unfilled. We will be acccused of every sick act in the book and but WE DO WHAT WE WANT. Fucking cunts will have dick hanging of their chins when we;re done with this season.

  217. smartalex says:

Ryan Giggs deserves a statue outside Old Trafford.

However, taking into account Wayne Rooney’s proviso “If there’s one player over the last 20
to 25 years who deserves a statue outside Old Trafford”, that ‘one player’ would surely have
    to be Bryan Robson (1981–1994).

  218. Ash says:

So arsenal will again be trophyless. I have to say wenger is stupid. He doesn’t know his priority. Dropping van persie yesterday was a joke.
I hope we face city and crush them. If we knock them out that will some what help us to forgot the 6-1. January will be a great time to face and crush them.I can see them going on a losing streak in december-January period.
In Hindsight I see Manchester united as the top club to win the premiership.
Chelsea have a difficult problems to face. They are crumbling and They have a tough fixtures coming up in Dec.
Arsenal cannot win the league. They may have done well after the 8-2 thrashing but I feel its too late for them now to win the league.
Liverpool are loserpool. I am not underestimating them but they don’t have it to win it. I seriously feel they may again miss out on top 4. Winning premiership is not their cup of tea.
City can do it if they keep playing like they did against us. But I have seen them struggle in last few games. They lost to napoli then struggled at ainfield. They have tough fixtures in dec -jan. They will for sure drop points.
With spurs I really hope they finish in top 4.Now its not because i love them But I would be happy if liverpool or chelshit miss the top 4.
We have to ensure we keep on getting 3 points for the next 8 games then we can and will win the tittle. I am again very excited to see us playing. Eventhough we dropped points against Newcastle but we were playing beautifully.
Lets beat crystal palace comfortably .
UNITED 20/4/12.(I want us to win the F.A cup)

  219. samuel - united WE stand says:

Crystal palace won’t be easy as some think, they have some outstanding young players so we have to step it up a gear or two.

  220. lordrt says:

Totally deserved, and I say a golden one in fact, the best player of his generation so far

  221. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    Good Morning ROM!

I’ve finally realized that I have the curse of the Republik. Any time there’s a party on here, I am invariably somewhere else. :P

Anyways, fucking awesome rant by King Eric. I posted something similar a couple of threads back. There isn’t a more universally derided yet universally successful club than Manchester United. Everybody hates us because we have more success than most of their clubs put together but won’t accept it. They keep giving lame excuses for their hate but we all know the truth.

As for City, I fucking hate them. The only reason they’re media darlings is because they are going up against the Big Bad Red Machine that is Manchester United. People wouldn’t give a fuck about them if that weren’t the case. They think they are massive because they “are” massive. They are massive because they are the only team in the PL that has a chance of toppling United. Pity they don’t realize that though.

I spilled my coffee today morning when I read that Harry Redknapp predicts that Spurs have a chance to win the Premier League. God bless his poor soul, he always gives me something to smile about.

  222. smartalex says:

Gadzooks! You guys are garrulous. Ease up, four fux ache!

  223. smartalex says:

‘Sir Alex Ferguson will let Bayern Munich use United’s state-of-the-art Carrington training base to prepare for their clash with City next week’, The Sun reports.

  224. CedarsDevil says:

Seems we are linked with a player named Christian Fuchs…..The horror if get comes off, never mind rival fans but by United ones too! hahaha

    Morning smartalex, morning all

  225. CedarsDevil says:

Just ignore the frigging typos fellas……….bloody hell

‘The horror if get comes off’ What on earth is that suppose to mean? stupid idiot

  226. smartalex says:

    Good morning CedarsDevil!

Christian Fuchs? Perhaps he’s to play in the missionary position. Spreading the word.

  227. smartalex says:

He probably has a great cross on him.

  228. smartalex says:

… and in the midfield today , as usual we see Giggs Fuch Young Nani.
    Should be a cracker!

  229. CedarsDevil says:

Poor guy, just imagine whenever anyone shouts ‘Oh for fuck’s sake’ he’ll think they’re talking to him!

With so much time on my hands as I can hardly go out till I am fully recovered I often wonder what a joy it would be to meet most of the posters on RoM that I enjoy, I try to make a list but always tend to forget a few….. Making a list of those I would NEVER want to meet is much easier as there are only a few….

RoM is truly a wonderful place filled with wonderful people

  235. smartalex says:

None more wonderful than you CedarsDevil.

There are many great aspects of RoM. To me, the general level of intelligence, awareness and reasoning is far higher than is generally found; and most are well grounded.
    Even the maniacs.

  236. CedarsDevil says:

Why thank you smartalex, very kind of you. We are all equals here, we hare the pain and joy that our great club gives us however a certain poster by the name of Sir Giles Oakley is someone I have that added respect for and in many ways look up to. That is why when he was attacked the other day I totally lost it

  237. CedarsDevil says:

    share not hare! damn it

  238. CedarsDevil says:

Thing is with my typos, I always read my post back before posting it and it seems error free…

Not sure if the problem is with my head or my hands! Probably both hahaha

  239. smartalex says:

I am sure that the reprehensible and foolhardy attack on RoM’s father figure Giles Oakley, was a premeditated and deliberate ploy. A grand exit!

Already planned, and no doubt initiated, is an all-new ever-so-exiting persona, who will no doubt also slouch back into the gutter as his fresh veneer is peeled away.

  242. CedarsDevil says:

I ‘ll take all three! Rushing down to the chemist, thanks a lot Dr smartalex! hahaha

    Brilliant stuff

  243. Balaji Sivaraman says:

smartalex, I genuinely mean this when I say it: I definitely missed your wordplay on ROM. This place has many wonderful and insightful posters whose knowledge of football is unmatched but your gift with words is something else altogether. I sincerely hope you are not planning on taking another sabbatical anytime soon. :)

Cedars, Yeah, ROM is the best. I sometimes wonder how Scott feels about the place. Most blogs usually have strict rules to stay on topic. If it is a topic on Giggs, you have to post comments pertaining to the topic only. ROM has become so huge and the population from all over the world is limitless that such rules that would normally apply to other blogs don’t apply here. Another blog administrator might’ve been frustrated with the ruckus we run around here – especially considering there is a forum specifically for this purpose – but Scott doesn’t seem to mind, though I assume he reads each and every comment posted here. I think all of us including myself who consider this place to be the spiritual home away from home as far as Manchester United is concerned owe him a big thanks.

  244. smartalex says:

As you seem relatively house-bound, may I suggest that you get a video camera, a few nurses, and a Doctor’s outfit, and start a web-cam hospital soap, that airs each afternoon. Don’t worry too much about the script or the plot. The more aimless, the better.

  245. smartalex says:

    Thank you Scott the Red!

  246. Lovin' United says:

Speaking of statues or monuments as it were, I will gladly build one for Bryan Robson with my own hands (I believe smartalex made a mention)

    Balaji

Well said as ever may I add…. RoM is the only blog, or fan related site that I ever visit or post on (recently added some comments on Cyril’s AOF) I do enjoy the off topic chats just as much as the ones related to it, we see some terrific debates here at times and at other times we post nonsense which can be hilarious…. Its simply a United community, for us all to talk about our great club, share experiences and memories and at other times just have fun. I will also add my thanks to STR

  248. smartalex says:

Balaji, thanks mate! No planned sabbaticals. I’m really happy that the festive run of games every few days is at hand. Especially after a disappointment like the Newcastle result. I enjoy watching all the internet videos of our latest games. I still search for new snippets right until the next game, so when it is a week or more between matches, I’m permanently frustrated.

  249. CedarsDevil says:

‘More than 5,000 Crystal Palace fans will descend on Manchester tonight as the Eagles look to cause a Carling Cup upset.

Since the last time the two clubs met – a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park in March 2005 – they have enjoyed contrasting fortunes, with the Red Devils winning four Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League, while Palace fell into administration and almost went out of business.’

  259. smartalex says:

Crystal Palace’s Dougie Freedman has nothing but admiration for the man he will come up against tonight. Freedman was less than a month old when Ferguson took up his first managerial post at East Stirling in June 1974 but has been in awe of what his compatriot has done since then.

“You’ve got to look up to him because he is probably one of the best managers there has ever been and ever will be because of his achievements,” he said. “He’s done fantastically well and it will be an honour to pit my wits against him and I’m really looking forward to it.

“But while everyone remembers him for his time at Manchester United, my memories are of when he was manager of Scotland and Aberdeen when I didn’t really like him, being a Glasgow Rangers fan.

“But I met him when I first took the job at Palace and it was good. His words were that he would help in any way which is fantastic. I’ve not taken him up on that yet but I think that is what Sir Alex does best – he will not only do his job but try and help others as well.”

Morning Reds,Sir Alex made a comment the other day that the squad is stronger than most people think.Noticed the comments on another thread between parryheid and KE,i know were parryhied was coming from. There’s alot of talk about Utds youngsters, with Utds injuries i’ve been thinking ok if these kids are good enough time to play them, well taking into account Sir Alex’s comment you have to think bringing the kids in is what he meant.Hopefully tonight most of us might get a chance to see what all the hype is about.KE knows what he’s talking about,so listening to him,the team not playing that well i’ve been very keen to see these lads get a run.

so my advice to reds about tonight’s game is don’t worry about a thing, ’cause every little thing is gonna be alright.

  267. rohan19 says:

POGBA ALREADY CONSIDERING MAN UNITED EXIT
Very interesting story in The Times this morning about the future of Paul Pogba ahead of what is likely to be his first start for Manchester United this evening.

According to the paper, the youngster is already growing ‘increasingly frustrated’ at his lack of first-team opportunities and, from the sounds of it, is considering leaving Old Trafford.

‘The Frenchman joined United in controversial circumstances from Le Havre more than two years ago, but unless Ferguson manages to persuade him to stay, he could be leaving in a similar fashion. As things stand, Pogba is stalling on signing a new deal and will be free to discuss terms with any club outside England when the transfer window opens on January 1.

‘The lure of a lucrative contract and signing-on fee are thought to have turned Pogba’s head as potential suitors will not have to pay a transfer fee under Fifa rules – only “training compensation” that is unlikely to be more than £250,000.’

Pogba has so far refused to sign a new contract and it’s reckoned that ‘AC Milan, Inter Milan and Hamburg are among the clubs monitoring Pogba’s situation.’

    its getting quite troublesome now.

  268. WillieRedNut says:

smartalex – Have you got those WMDs?

  269. wayne says:

Just read Drogba has turned a contract offer from Rentboys,Drogba’s agent i’m paraphrasing ‘at his age he has nothing to prove football wise he’ll go were the money is’.One of the saddest statements ever, why would anyone want to sign him when the team knows he doesn’t give a fuck about achieving anything and is only there for the paycheck.

  270. WillieRedNut says:

Just to be clear here. The Times also said United were interested in Joey Barton. The papers love a transfer story. Especially, when it involves United. Gossip sells, apparently.

  271. Balaji Sivaraman says:

I absolutely don’t know the full details, so patience is going to be the key. But “IF” – and that is huge if – it is true and Pogba is showing this amount of attitude when he hasn’t even begun playing for the first team yet, then he can simply fuck off. I know some people will say we can’t afford to lose good youngsters, but my personal choice will always be to lose with below-par youngsters who take pride in being part of the youth system than people like Pogba. From what King Eric is saying – and Ole said this as well – Ryan Tunnicliffe is the man of the hour and his love for United is evident from his tweets. Ryan and Ravel Morrison are here and, provided the latter can exorcise his demons, we’ve got plenty of talent coming through with or without Pogba.

  272. Saad says:

If we get through to the semis, I hope we get the 2nd leg at home.

  273. Fred says:

Pogs were a shit fad that never caught my imagination. The same could be said of this lad. Fergie, get rid. 8)

  274. wayne says:

Balaji agree 100% if it’s true City are welcome to him go join all the other mercanary cunts

  275. WillieRedNut says:

Wayne – You seem surprised? Modern football mate.

  276. rohan19 says:

it may not be true as well.. but if it is then ‘d rather he went to inter or ac rather than

  277. wayne says:

Willie think i’m surprised by the honesty, normally we hear about how the player loves the club, yada, yada, yada, but just to come out and say don’t give a fuck just show me the money not trying to hide Drogba is just a greedy cunt who doesn’t give a fuck, that’s the surprising part.

  278. GIMME RED says:

Saw arsenal yesterday you can rule them out of signing POGBA

  279. wayne says:

See Doctors are now banging on about heading a ball giving brain damage[that's the reason most of us English are fucked up.lol]
So tackling has been just about been eliminated, heading next,Football, future looks bright.

  280. Mikekelly12 says:

    Afternoon all
If a player doesn’t want to play for Manchestet United, firstly, more fool him! Secondly, go fuck ya self! If he’s leaving because of a lack of first team football and not cash, that’s different? But we have to trust Sir Alex and if he doesn’t think Pogba is ready to enhance our first team then who are we to argue? Can’t play a player that might not be ready, risking our chances of a victory just because he’s spat his dummy out. Yes there are people who think he can’t be any worse than we’ve had in the middle at times this season, but Sir Alex obviously thinks otherwise. All paper talk at the moment I’m assuming so let’s see. Off topic, just moved house, anyone know the best sky/virgin deals at the moment?!

  281. Saad says:

    Agree with Balaji @13:35

    Character before talent, any day.

  282. Mikekelly12 says:

    Or BT?

  283. slim says:

    MikeKelly12

Is it a catch 22 situation and i’m not just referring to the player in question. SAF says he’s/ they’re not ready. They can’t improve the team. Well for me thats a hard one to swallow. I feel proud of the lads, every corner they turn the’res always something or someone coming up trying to knock the club down. They’ve done truly wonderful stuff. But on this issue – from MY perspective , the boss and i i differ slightly. I think the senior squad isn’t ready to adopt 2-3 “babies”. That in itself opens up a can of worms, or maybe its already opened with everyone suggesting tactics change and potential midfield transfers. He said the other day that he Won’t put a young player in an embarrassing situation. Well he put DDG in there, welbeck was there too. Jones on the bench.

Speaking of Jones, i’m chuffed to bits with him and all we fans see is the football side of things but from the limited stuff we do see, can we say he’s miles ahead of our young hopefuls? I don’t think so. That i’m not too pleased about, we seem to have no problem taking youngsters from others and slotting them in but take a bucket load of time with our own.

SAF is far from sentimental, some fans accuse him of that . I think its nonsense but he does have to be considerate to his players, things don’t go wrong and then just chuck them out. That said the young players are getting itch feet and want to be the hot prospect who has earned himself a place at the club

  284. CedarsDevil says:

    Afternoon all,

Why afternoon Cedars…. Oh thanks Cedars, thank you for asking! Stupid idiot.

Seriously though fellas, I have to access to the match tonight, the Carling Cup is about the only competition I do not have on tele…. Forget about online streams, my connection is so slow that it gets to half time and the screen still says five minutes!

Will keep up using websites that provide live updates with written commentary…

  285. CedarsDevil says:

No access not to access! This is getting boring

  286. WillieRedNut says:

Character before talent? That’s served England well since 1966. ;)

A touch of both, would serve United well.

  287. Mikekelly12 says:

Jones has had the benefit of being a premier league prior to joining the club so had proven himself at this level over a long hard campaign and although not working with him he had been monitored closely. Our youngsters are by enlarge unproven in the prem. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see pogs, tunni and Morrison play, and I think all would do a job (not wholesale) but we can only believe that Sir Alex has his reasons and more often than never, they are for the good of the club.

  288. CedarsDevil says:

Monkey sent it on a donkey and I will out grow the cedar tree before it arrives!

    hahahahahahahaha

(Not being ungrateful by any means, I am sure you know that)

  289. WillieRedNut says:

Cedars – How the fuck are you? Lol.

  290. slim says:

    Balaji Sivaraman

what attitude if i may ask? I’m sorry its not right for you to say IF its true then go on to slag him. The boy wants a contract and he wants to play. Would he have spent all these years just to take the piss. This is kinda similar to what i posted in response to Mike. He wants to play, the gaffer is not quite yet. He may leave, nothing that hasn’t happened to us before or any other club for that matter. Isn’t this how Arsenal got fabregas, how we got Pique and ironically how he left. Same could be said about the former Le’harve player. We promised him something he couldn’t get in France , his old team as far as he was concerned came up short. Now it looks like we’re getting a taste of it.You were spot on about one thing though. Patience. All will soon be revealed. Maybe this was exactly the kind of drama Fergie wanted to avoid in the first place

  291. CedarsDevil says:

    Doing great Irish sheep! lol

  292. WillieRedNut says:

Cedars – He had a swipe at me lol. I never even said a thing to him!

  293. NotoriousRedDevil says:

In regards to Pogba, its frustrating a very good youth player may be leaving if the papers are to be believed. Usually I wouldn’t give a fuck what these fish and chips wrappers say, but with only a month till January and no new contract signed it doesn’t look too good.

If he wants to go like many have stated, Fuck him. Conversely we pinched him off of Le Havre so we could be getting what we deserve. If he fucked them over, then why should we be surprised if he’s doing the same as us.

Finally if he is frustrated over the lack of first team football then that is understandable. Fabregas has probably shown the young players of the world by playing regularly as a 16/17 year old doesn’t stunt your development. Whilst that may be true he won fuck all whilst playing regularly.

For Pogbaa, if he were to stay, winning nothing wouldn’t be the case, because we are United with the greatest manager that ever lived. I mean we won the league without a first choice goalie for crying out loud in 00 and during that hat trick of titles had a different goalie every year. Just a couple of example why Pogba would be a grade A first class cunt for fucking off.

  294. NotoriousRedDevil says:

By the time I posted slim pretty much said what I did.

Cedars – I’m in a similar situation my friend thank god for internet on phones. Will also be checking the site, only get to see the first half if I’m lucky.

  295. CedarsDevil says:

    NRD

First of all, great to see you here… Secondly you have just echoed my sentiments on the subject…
On a much more important note, do tell us about them Japanese babes…. I have a soft spot for Asian women, err I have a soft spot for women period!

  296. mufcmyreligion says:

    @cedars

  297. CedarsDevil says:

  298. WillieRedNut says:

Soft spot for women? You need Viagra mate? ;)

  299. Mikekelly12 says:

    Cedars
Afternoon pal. Ha ha! Fuck me, snail mail. Sent it well over a week ago now mate. Like I said, I’ll be sending you his 30th anniversary program before this one arrives!!

  300. CedarsDevil says:

    mufcmyreligion

Hi buddy, no I am not, thanks for asking…. I cannot watch games online, my connection is piss poor and it becomes very frustrating. As I said before, the Carling Cup is the only competition I do not get on tele….

  301. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ Cedars – Japanese women cause no drama from my experience so far. Unlike the Indian and white women I know back home. Their wares north of the Bermuda Triangle are perfect not too big not too small. Make all the right noises too. I have nothing more to add on the subject without behaving like Andy Gray/Richard Keys. ;-)

  302. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ mufcmyreligion – If you can send me one will be greatly appreciated mate, gives me a extra 5 minutes in bed!!!

  303. CedarsDevil says:

Willie – Hahaha just cracked me up you sheep!

  304. CedarsDevil says:

    NRD

Its RoM, you can behave anyway you want pal….. :-)

Mike – Snail mail? hahaha A guy on a scooter riding the Alps more like! hahaha

  305. WillieRedNut says:

Just seen Barca’s goals from last night? The second, were it comes off Xavi, and falls to Sanchez? that was luck! SSN saying, did he mean that lol. They’re good, granted. Not that fucking good!

  306. Fred DiBiase says:

No disrespect to Phil Jones but he’s not fit to lace Pogba’s size elevens.

  307. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@slim, That is why I prefaced my entire statement with the keyword “patience.” Again, the below only applies if the rumors are true.

For me, when a player who hasn’t even broken into the first team yet is willing to disagree on terms and stall on a contract, that just puts a bad taste on things. It is like any other profession. When you join new in any job, you won’t go asking for a huge raise no matter how good you are right as you are about to get that big break. The fact that he is willing to create so much fuss when he isn’t a proven product yet. For me, that is not the right attitude for a youngster to have. We have much better examples than that.

Also, United youngsters should realize that no matter what your age if Sir Alex thinks you are good enough, then you will make appearances. It is as simple as that and this season is a testament to that. Jones and De Gea are both well below 20, and they have arguably been the two most important members of our squad this season. Just because you took all the hype into your head and think that you are good for the first team, Sir Alex will not play you. If you are good enough, you will get your chance. If you don’t get your chance, that means you need a bit more experience before making it on the big stage. So, it is better if you shut the fuck up and try to do what you should before getting your break.

I guess I am old-school in that sense. As I said, if this is true and he is stalling on a contract because he wants first-team experience elsewhere which he thinks he isn’t getting here, then, and I mean this when I say it, fuck him. I know we are going to disagree on this one and I absolutely don’t mind that one bit. But I don’t think we are going to convince the other though. :)

  308. WillieRedNut says:

No disrespect to Fred DiBiase, but I like Fred much better.

  309. CedarsDevil says:

Same here, enough with this Dibiase nonsense

  310. WillieRedNut says:

I could give a million reasons, why this is the case. ;)

  311. Fred DiBiase says:

Pogba will sign a contract extension and all of you who are making disparaging remarks about this young Red will eat a slice of humble pie. 8)

  312. slim says:

    Mikekelly12

One season excuse me sir is NOT proven experience . Experience, yes, you can’t argue with that but we’re not talking about pros here, young up and coming prospects. Jones was handed a chance at Blackburn. He took it. We went in for him. We got him. One question were the Da Silva brothers proven. Or Hernandez. Yet here we are. Hernandez getting an improved contract closer to the likes of Wayne Rooney. Agents words not mine. Rafa has had over 50 games for United. Why hasn’t Gary retirement hurt as much? Thats why.

  313. Fred DiBiase says:

 Willie, what was that fake-ass name you posted under for a while?

  314. slim says:

    Balaji Sivaraman

do you really think this is about money? I don’t think so

  315. CedarsDevil says:

    Ouch

  316. Fred DiBiase says:

Slim – spot on, pal. This isn’t about money, it’s about ambition. Pogz is just following the example of our beloved number 10.

  317. WillieRedNut says:

Fred – Red Riding Wolf! The wolf wants to come out and play. ;) The mases weren’t buying it!

  318. CedarsDevil says:

As a kid growing up in my parent’s house I always loved to stir the pot, I mean that literally, helping my mom (bless her) with her cooking…..

In life and in general I simply love to ‘stir the pot’ Cracks me up

  319. Fred says:

LOL that was it! Nice one Willie. :)

  320. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@slim, I absolutely don’t think so mate. I never mentioned money in my post at all. I never mentioned City also. This is what I said.

“If you are good enough, you will get your chance. If you don’t get your chance, that means you need a bit more experience before making it on the big stage. So, it is better if you shut the fuck up and try to do what you should before getting your break.”

If he is not willing to battle it out like every Tom, Dick and Harry has done before him, then he can sod off. Look at Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck, they went on loan almost twice and they waited patiently. Sure, they were local lads, so they will definitely have more patience, but still…. Patience is the key for the player in question. The last time I mentioned “patience,” I was talking about the fans. But it applies to Pogba also. He should be willing be wait it out. If he isn’t and if he thinks he is “worth” the hype right now and wants first team experience right now, then it is better he sod off because that is not the right attitude.

  321. slim says:

Besides the “terms” give a clear indication of your playing time. he’s going to negotiate contract that could give him a chance to play.which is what every single football player wants to do. Right? It may sound like a bit of a reach but make no mistake its to be thought out. Take Roo for example you don’t spend 30 mill on a teenager to feel him out to see if he can cut it. From a players perspective its the same. Different angle but the same

  322. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Ads on here giving me a few problems. Cedars pal, my words can’t do the women here justice, perfect tits, unblemished skin, no drama (like I said before). This one girl in the apartment opposite calls me ekizochiku which means Exotic. I’ve been called many things before (mostly derogatory) but not that!!!!

Women aside one negative, squid is fucking nasty but when its a pretty girl asking you to try it, you smile and deal with it!

  323. MG says:

Ok since we are still on in this thread

May I have another statue for today?

Afternoon United – college work is driving me mad – can’t wait for the young guns tonight ;)

  324. WillieRedNut says:

It’s not over money. Pogba wants a statue, outside OT.

  325. CedarsDevil says:

    NRD

Hahaha that’s more like it, always thought Jap babes had perfect tits, fucking drooling again!

By the way, I am keeping score here and so far its Fred 2 Willie 1

    Get stuck in lads

  326. WillieRedNut says:

Tom, Dick and Harry will never make it at United. 8)

  327. Mikekelly12 says:

    Slim
I have no idea what you’re getting at and I’m certainly not trying to get embroiled in a row, I was merely offering my opinion. Hernandez has had an improved contract because he had proven last season that he can cut it in the prem. The twins have yet to prove theycan come through a full season unscathed before we can ask if they’ve proven themselves consistently over a full season. And I think you’ll find that having to play Rafael, Fletcher, Valencia, Smalling, Jones at right back already this seasons means we that Nevs retirement has hurt us considerably.

  328. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Cedars What the time does the game kick off at your end? I have much more respect for out fans abroad now I’m having to do it as well. Should be asleep, but miss the banter on here.

  329. WillieRedNut says:

Slim is stirring the pot!

  330. Fred says:

Fred vs Willie, Mike vs Slim… it’s like the Royal Rumble in here. If only I had a wrestling-themed handle… :?

  331. CedarsDevil says:

Oh Oh another match taking place, too one sided though…

Half time and its Mike 4 slim nil! hahaha such a trouble maker

    Evening MG

  332. NotoriousRedDevil says:

As long as the pot doesn’t have squid in it, let’s all stir.

  333. slim says:

    Balaji Sivaraman

i don’t know mate. I’m not buying what you’re selling. And he has waited out. Think of Tom C in spain and what kind of decisions do you think he’d be making? Fuck sake we gave Bebe more first team opportunities. why are we finding it difficult to assure a young player that you paved the way for that he’s key to the club future. Na bro no comes out of this all squeaky clean. I said its not a be all end all but raises questions up

  334. CedarsDevil says:

    NRD

Its at 9.45 PM my time which is bearable, unless I am completely sedated of course!

  335. Fred says:

    SQUID?! Them’s fighting words! :x

  336. slim says:

KE have his baby yet? Best wishes man.
    BBL, COME ON UNITED!!!!

  338. CedarsDevil says:

    slim & Willie

Best get your half time talks in order, you’re being well and truly beaten here! hahahahaha

    SQUID

  339. James21 says:

I was going to write this on the Pogba thread but I didn’t bother just incase I got accused of jumping on bandwaqgons, called a sheep or a Bully. It was a very entertaining read though especially when you’ve had a shit day.

Anyway about Pogba. I’ve not seen much of him but there have been some rave reviews on him, not just on here but from other Reds who watch the reserves. I personally would like to see him given a run in the team then I can make my own jugement. I can’t actually blame the lad for holding out on his contract, he must be looking good because of all the interest in him, supprise supprise I’ve even seen Shitty are interested. Just have to wait and see.
I’m presuming Fred debiase is being sarcastic about Jones. :)

  340. Fred says:

SARCASTIC?! That’s exactly the kind of talk I’d expect from a bandwagon-jumping, bullying, sheep like you!

  341. WillieRedNut says:

Cedars – Get you to the Pogba thread! Parry is 4 zip up! :D

  342. Fred says:

    OUCH!! Nice one Wolfman!

  343. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@Cedars – Cheers mate. I hope all the pain you feel subsides soon without the need of sedation so you can enjoy United in a normal state like you did back in the day.

Think slim has a point, we give Bebe games but not taking chances on our youth is causing unrest with a number on here. Thing is we’re looking at the youth as some sort of panacea for our centre midfield problems (hence the praise on Tom C after 5 games) and thats because of our refusal to strengthen that position in the last 6-7 transfer windows along with the loss of Scholes and Rod/Todd Flanders. The manager clearly doesn’t see it like that beyond Carling Cup games.

One thing is certain, this won’t be resolved anytime soon and thus this debate will continue till the position is filled from within or by purchasing someone.

  344. CedarsDevil says:

Fred – Stick to one battle at a time, you are already ahead of the sheep that is Willie! hahahaha

James21 – Do not assume anything on Fred, he is the black sheep of RoM! hahaha

  345. WillieRedNut says:

Fred vs James21 now! This is drama right here!

  346. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@slim, Though I understand exactly what you’re trying to say, I don’t think it is a good idea to bring Bebe into this discussion. The around of controversy surrounding why he was bought and why he was given so many chances has been well documented. As for Pogba, I think by now you guys know that I am a blind believe in SAF, I am not going to slag everyone who questions his decisions, but I am never going to do it. I believe that if SAF believe Pogba were ready for a first-team try out, he would’ve handed it to the kid. The fact that he hasn’t is proof enough for me that Pogba isn’t ready enough and should wait. That is how I roll. So, it is safe to say, as usual, we should agree to disagree.

  347. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    *amount of controversy*

  348. CedarsDevil says:

    NRD

Thanks for the kind words my friend, laughing makes it easy mind you buddy

  349. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Fuck me, huge typo and grammatical errors in that post. Forgive me lads, I think Dr. Cedars must’ve slipped me some of his meds.

  350. Fred says:

The Black Sheep, the Blackheart, the King of Hearts, The Macho King, The Million Dollar Man, Mr. Perfect… I have many nicknames pal. 8)

  351. WillieRedNut says:

I’m joining Cedars in the stirring pot!

    Balaji vs Slim!

  352. slim says:

    Mikekelly12

no row mate, what you on about? what you can’t take a view strongly differing from yours?. i’m making silly chicken noises now :-)

The point i was trying to make is we’ve given similar players of varying experience s solid platform to launch themselves. These players were all prospects and in some ways still are but a chance and an opportunity was presented to these guys and they came in leaps and bounds. Lets do the same with own. I’m sure Blackburn improved the contract terms for Jones to ensure he was part of the first team

  353. Fred says:

Dr. Cedars slipped Balaji a hot beef injection…

  354. slim says:

    WillieRedNut

thats me resident cook. speaking of which. i think its about that time. Can’t wait for the game tonight.

  355. CedarsDevil says:

My money is on James21 with this one, Fred must be exhausted after taking out Willie

    Get stuck in James

Hahahaha – How can you not love this place

  356. James21 says:

Hang on is Fred and Fred debiase the same person? I’ve missed something here.
If so are you trying to out do Moses on the names front. Too confusing. :(

  357. Fred says:

Mike Kelly hasn’t got the STONES to face Slim man-to-man. 8)

  358. MG says:

Having said that they won’t be making it inside too

    Fred – lol

  366. James21 says:

The penny drops. Were you being sarcastic?

  367. Fred says:

Samuel – cannot see that happening. Hopefully some two-bit journalist who doesn’t value his career or his life will dare to ask Sir Fergie just what in the blue hell is going on with Pugba’s contract situation, then we’ll have a better idea.

  368. MG says:

    Willie

Good Afternoon back to you too mate

  369. James21 says:

lol, come on why not. How can you say don’t bring Bebe into it. HAHA Come on. Play fair. This is what i’m talking about. We saw a player or rather didn’t then got him into first team pronto. Off the back of what? A word? A rave review? We got this boy in our back yard and he is good enough and i just think its a shame we can’t make this ours. I mean its all conjecture and heresay at this point but lets not be so quick to say its an easy write off, no problem , his loss. I just didn’t think that’s things like this are handled. But hey that’s just me.
Either way we get to see what the fuss is about tonight. He’d better have a good fucking game

  373. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

Updates on scores will be highly appreciated…. Slim v Mike, James v Fred and now Balaji v Slim

You’ve been knocked out of the quarters, so stick to being a pundit

  374. Fred says:

I hope we see KikoTheKid tonight. Always liked that lad.

    Indeed it is pal

  377. MG says:

    Cedars

What are you talking about my friend?

    I’ve already won that final

    Back hand deals and all

  378. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Fred you left out Classic Freddie Blassie as a nickname ;-)

By no way am I trying to diss our manager, but he has by his own admission made mistakes, like the Stam incident. That same season his refusal to even name Dwight Yorke on the bench after February cost us the title and Champions League in my honest opinion. Especially after the injuries to Beckham, Neville and Keane as well. Ruud was tired too after playing virtually every game after the cruciate injury the previous season. He persisted with Forlan (we all know the story with that) as well as square pegs in round holes.

If we hadn’t fucked about in the CL we could have played Pogba in the final 2 games as it is, I can’t see him starting any league games. Although I think most fans would rather have seen him in the team than Rooney playing centre midfield.

I wouldn’t even mind if Jones played there regularly whilst he’s 19/20, Fergie is notorious for playing young players out of position. I recall a certain Darren Fletcher keeping Ronaldo out of the team on the right wing in 03/04 and the following season. As always the manger knows best but Pogbas potential departure will fuel the haters with more ammo alongside Pique and to a lesser extent Rossi and Kieran Richardson.

  379. samuel - united WE stand says:

I understand why Fergie doesn’t want to throw the young players in straight away. it’s because he doesn’t want pressure put on them, he brings players through gradually but we also have to be aware that gremlins are sniffing around pogba, we’ve all watched him develop through our youth system so for him to leave us high and dry would be one of the pisstakes of the century, like i said i’m sure it’s all rumours and he’ll sign up soon enough, he probably just want assurances on his chances of being a first team player but he’ll sign up.

Fergie should start him tonight partnerd with experienced players, lets see what he can do and hopefully all the young players take their chances tonight against a tricky young palace team, won’t come along very often.

  380. WillieRedNut says:

Cedars – I was never involved pal. Too good, I am. ;) Now, get to that Pogba thread! You’re on the ropes! Don’t disappoint me again. :D Go get Parry!

  381. James21 says:

I miss Gary Cook. I wonder if he’s doing Panto anywhere this Christmas.

  382. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@slim, I think you misunderstood my point. There is enough controversy surrounding Bebe’s arrival and the amount of game time he got to suggest that maybe it wasn’t merited. I don’t know the full details and no one does, so using him as a comparison to suggest that Pogba should be getting more chances will definitely skew the argument. That is all I was saying. A better comparison would be guys like Hernandez, The Da Silva brothers etc. all of whom got chances pronto, but all of whom also had more experience for what it’s worth.

But I will say this also, I don’t think Sir Alex values experience as much. The way I see it, Jones, Da Silvas, Chicha, De Gea would’ve played anyway if Sir Alex believed they were ready. It isn’t a huge difference that they had top-level experience to him, but it certainly helps their case. Sir Alex’s motto has always been – “If they’re ready, then age is irrelevant.”

That is why I keep on stressing that the fact that Sir Alex is hesitant to give Pogba a chance suggests – to me at least and I have a feeling this argument isn’t convincing you – that he thinks the kid isn’t ready for that big break yet. Otherwise, Pogba would’ve gotten it already. And if he still thinks Pogba needs time, then maybe a loan move will the the plan for the boss. And if SAF thinks the kid is worth the fuss, then he will surely do his best to keep him with us.

So, yeah, that is how I always see it. Any player who wants to play under Sir Alex must be willing to slog it out because the rewards of being patient are humongous. We have enough examples of that – From the Fledglings to Fletcher to even Ronaldo and Rooney to Nani and Anderson to Cleverley and Welbeck in the current team. You are guaranteed success if you patient for your turn. If you aren’t, then I couldn’t care less, because I will always say that it is your loss.

DISCLAIMER: This whole argument is built upon the unconfirmed rumors of Pogba’s departure. If they aren’t true, then it is completely void. If you think I am crazy to be having such a huge argument based on a rumor, then you are definitely right.

  383. CedarsDevil says:

Seems the final will be contested between James21 and Mikekelly12.

Balaji, slim and Fred do not seem to have the strength in depth to go all the way…. Luckily though pre tournament favorites MG and Cedars had to pull out at the last minute therefore giving the underdogs a chance! hahahahaha

  384. samuel - united WE stand says:

Fred – the journalist will have to shield to protect himself from verbal abuse if he dare ask but it will be benefit the fans to know what the fuck is actually happening with pogba’s contract. Fergie will never sell to city, it’s a guarantee i have no doubt but hopefully this is just a storm in the tea cup and he’ll sign a new deal, Fergie rates him highly and probably why he hasn’t tried buying anyone (of course he also said that no player of United’s quality is in transfer market at the moment) make of that what you will.

  385. slim says:

Cedars – ahh so you must be the loopy referee high of his meds. think you can handle it? You might get knocked out by an errant swing :-)

  386. James21 says:

  388. WillieRedNut says:

    That sounds like fantasy. 8)

  389. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ Balaji – I know slim can make his own point but the Bebe transfer is 100% valid point. There is no way Fergie would have played anyone in the United team that didn’t deserve it. He may not have seen Bebe play before we signed him, but I refuse to believe Fergie played him because an agent told him so. Thats a George Graham act! I’ll also add having seen Bebe play John Jensen is better but Dong isn’t/wasn’t.

  390. Ash says:

Pogba is going nowhere. Just wait and watch when he turns out to be United legend.

Right then, who’s joining me for the palace match?!

  397. Jayesh says:

I know it’s late and off the topic, but I just read Giles’ article about ManU and I wanted to know, if there was any chance of Sir Alex’s pen name being Giles Oakley? ;)

  398. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@NRD (and slim), Fair enough, I grant you that. And maybe I was wrong to suggest that.

But looking overall, Bebe has had 7 apperances. The one in the Champions League was after we had almost confirmed qualification from the group stages. If we had done the same this season, then Pogba/Morrison might’ve featured in them. As it is, we fucked up, so that isn’t going to happen. He had two in the League and it is too soon to say Pogba hasn’t had any because we still have more than half the season to go. He had 3 in the Carling Cup and Pogba is slowly getting to the stage where he should feature; he has two sub appearances already.

Ultimately though, it all comes back to your point, “There is no way Fergie would have played anyone in the United team that didn’t deserve it.” – By that same token, if Pogba deserved it, then he would’ve gotten his shot already is what I will always say. The very fact that he hasn’t is enough proof to me that Pogba isn’t ready yet.

  399. CedarsDevil says:

    Mike

    Touche on Grimes….lol

Most may not have heard of him or even seen him however Jesper Olsen always excited me, whenever he was on the ball you always expected something special… Such a pity he was playing for an average team

  410. Fred says:

  411. CedarsDevil says:

Gordon Hill on the left, Steve Coppell on the right, Pearson up front…. How on earth did this team not win a title?

    Answer? No Sir Alex

  412. WillieRedNut says:

Jasper Carrot? Didn’t like him. Jesper Olsen was ok though.

  413. NotoriousRedDevil says:

I totally agree Balaji. Pogba probably hasn’t done enough in training to warrant a start in the league. Playing Devils advocate slightly still doesn’t change the fact we moved our best player into a defensive midfield position for certain games. Also Pogba been here for 2 years now learning the United way whereas Bebe came in from the street. Whats the worst that could have happened?

Bebe’s crosses were like Conversions/field goals. I’ve never seen anybody get the ball so high from a crossing position Big Show standing on Andre the Giants shoulders would have difficulty heading it in. Bebes 2 league appearance had already had happened by December last year I believe, Pogba has missed that chance now. Although you are right in saying he still could grab a couple of opportunities in the league between now and the end of the season….if he signs a new deal.

  414. slim says:

    Balaji Sivaraman

i guess we’ll find out soon enough . If he’s ready. But is he good enough? You know it, SAF knows it, the boy knows it, we all know it. Yes he is good enough.I have a different take on your closing comments. Its the squad not ready or able to take on some of its younger players.

  415. WillieRedNut says:

No Sir Alex and the dippers. The former, I love. The latter, I detest.

  416. Fred says:

    Pogba will dominate tonight. 8)

  417. CedarsDevil says:

Just think with Sir Alex and that team we would have nailed them

  418. Balaji Sivaraman says:

I will say this though: Fred’s comic timing when posting is impeccable. Almost every post he intends for comic effect gets me laughing.

  419. slim says:

Shit my blood’s boiling. Durham gobbing off shite again on his show. The “rest” of the lague have given up, United,Chelsea and Arsenal throwing in the towel, and the kicker “showing them too much respect”. Jaysus. What a turd

(From another thread) I love you too Willie muah….. lol

Laters my lovelies, off for a needed nap

  421. WillieRedNut says:

A lot of discussion about an article in the paper? I’ve fuck all from the club, or the manager. King Eric watches the reserves more than most. He says, Poggers ain’t ready yet. I’ll take his word for it. The wider issue on young players, I’ll defer to Fergie and his staff. I know a good player, when I see one. But I don’t know the ins and outs, like the club would. All the reports on Tunni, do have me excited. Hope to see him in a United shirt soon.

  422. MG says:

    Cedars

I like that I had to pull out due to prior commitments

    Who’s the ref?

    Costas?

  423. slim says:

My pick was Cedars. i think i can say without even ever trying his groovy pills, they do their stuff

  424. WillieRedNut says:

slim – Lol. If we don’t sign someone in January, Fergie is giving up on the title! Durham is a clown.

  425. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Willie, From a previous post, “DISCLAIMER: This whole argument is built upon the unconfirmed rumors of Pogba’s departure. If they aren’t true, then it is completely void. If you think I am crazy to be having such a huge argument based on a rumor, then you are definitely right.”

What can I say, I just like to debate on ROM, even if it is about nonsense rumors.

  426. Costas says:

Notorious made a good point about Pogba’s treatment of Le Havre and how we should have seen this coming. Of course this isn’t a case of Pogba wanting to leave his current club. He’s just trying to get the best deal possible and his representatives seem to like playing hardball. Unfortunately, the club hasn’t done anything about the situation and now we are one month away from Pogba being able to negotiate his own transfer. Notice that he’s the 3rd player on the current roster that will have that prerogative come Jan 1st…

Anyway, for me the situation is simple. If Pogba isn’t good enough in the boss’ eyes, lets sell him in January. But if he’s promising, then we have to do what needs to be done to keep him at the club. This club prides itself on developing young players into world class players. And whether we like it or not, even young players are a pain to negotiate with nowdays.

  427. Sandeep1878 says:

Good evening Red Devils around the world,

Pogba and Morrison to start in midfield along with Carrick!!

    How that sounds :)

  428. WillieRedNut says:

Balaji – You’re better banging your head against the wall! Disclaimer? That’s MG’s stick? :D

  429. denton davey says:

WillieRedNut @ 16:52: “King Eric watches the reserves more than most. He says, Poggers ain’t ready yet. I’ll take his word for it. The wider issue on young players, I’ll defer to Fergie and his staff.”

    I’d agree – completely – with that.

One of the toughest dilemmas in dealing with young players is getting them to “hold their horses”. A perfect example is Jon Obi Mikel who was seemingly pressurized into renouncing his agreement with UTD in order to join CSKALondon. He was then promoted into the first-team too quickly and has stalled in his professional career – and this was a player who was more impressive than Lionel Messi in the Under20 tournament a few years back !

If Paul Pogba – or any other kid who has been brought through the UTD system think that they can do better elsewhere – then I’d try to convince him otherwise BUT if he’s so big-headed that he thinks he knows better than SAF (!), then I’d just send him down the road. Professional sports is littered with guys whose heads got turned at the first sniff of moolah and turned out to be disappointments – to themselves, too, no doubt.

Taking Paul Pogba as an example – none of us really knows anything about the kid or his thoughts and the media reports are usually fictional or just plain “sensational”. For kids like Paul Pogba, there’s likely to be a strong element of “show-me-the-money” which is perfectly understandable since these youngsters often come from under-privileged (or even deprived) backgrounds. So they’re starry-eyed about the money in front of them BUT less willing to consider the whole of their professional careers.

A professional manager like SAF has been dealing with kids from all sorts of backgrounds and with all sorts of personalities for 25 years at OT and for another decade before that at Aberdeen. His comments regarding “rushing” kids and destroying their hopes were tremendous in both his insight into their expectations AND his responsibilities to them and their families. He takes his mentor-ship role seriously. But 18 year-olds often have a hard time expecting that they are not “TheKingOfTheWorld” and for kids who have been told that they are then a cold dose of reality is often impossible to take. This is the point at which a kid’s character really comes into play – who does he listen to: his posse ? or the gaffer ?

What does this have to do with Paul Pogba (or Ravel Morrison) ? Hopefully nothing – I’d really like to see these pair of kids achieve stardom in their red shirts.

  430. James says:

Pogba can end up like sturridge or like bentley

  431. FletchTHEMAN says:

Cheers lads. Actually excited about the CC for once. With so many strong teams in the EPL and the opportunity to run out some of our B team, CC is starting to look like a good deal.

Expect Pogba and Morrison to start on the bench then hope to see them both get a run out in the second half.

  432. FletchTHEMAN says:

    OFF topic.

United toped the list in fees paid to agents last year. Stange that it wasn’t Cittay?

Sad to say, Bruce has been fired by Sunderland.

  433. Sandeep1878 says:

    Denton Davey,

    excellent read, thank you.

    Makes sense..

not telling all the youngsters we promote to first team are successful, but if they are so big headed, then its better to send them down the road as you said..

  434. FletchTHEMAN says:

Correction, Just saw the actual list

Cittay do top the list in agent fees. Twitter dis info :(

    Here is the list

    Newcastle United £6,380,488.00

  439. Costas says:

Given Sunderland’s track record, I wouldn’t be surprised if they offered Ole the job. After Keane and Spragia, Bruce was their 3rd manager that had UNited ties.

I bet Wes is wishing we sold him to Everton now…

  440. parryheid says:

Shame Brucies gone I thought he did a good job in difficult circumstances.Saw a chart showing in his time there the club made slightly more in sales of players than they spent on incoming over his period there.

  441. FletchTHEMAN says:

Zelh. Ireland Sports network just reporting that. Hope Paul has more pride in the shirt. United being picked over for scraps if it is true. But Le Havre will say it is just deserts.

Hope Paul gets a new deal and stays. If he is worth that much, we should at least make a bundle on him. Hope he stays as he looks good. Could move to the seniors in 2 years.

  447. WillieRedNut says:

Fuck me! Fred is a solider of God? No more wrestling for him now. ;)

  448. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

As far as Im concerned Pogba doesnt sign, he doesnt play. For fuck sake its one thing that our chubby scouse neanderthal striker held us to ransom he is questionably world class in the eyes of the press and other sheep but Pogba is a prospect. A prospect that joins the likes of Rossi, Forlan, Robbins, Campbell, Djordic, Wallwork, Greening, Wilson etc etc etc and they were highly regarded at the time. Should they have decided that they were deserving of first team wages then I think with hind sight we would have told them to go and get fucked.
Now Im happy to turn the mickey mouse cup into Disney Land for one of our boys tonight. I dont mind if Pogba signs an extension on the pitch ala Robson. Give him an improved contract but tell the boy he’ll have to earn a first team wage but give him the spot light. Tell the press we regard him highly and a chance he can be the new Robson. But under no circumstances if he doesnt sign before kick off then we just have to live with another prospect being released. Dont allow him to use the match tonight by taking a dedicated players education away, show casing his skills for suitors.
Pogba mate, sign or FUCK OFF:

  449. Sandeep1878 says:

    Brucey :(

Fucking Stealth United, i wont call Sunderland by that name again…

  450. Mikekelly12 says:

  451. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Read this tweet from Annie Eaves: “Here’s your #topred manual – Rage at the use of Man U, Slam Carrick for passing sideways, Hate Gibson, Believe Pogba is in fact God.”

  452. Fred says:

Got the inside track on tonight’s team. It’s supposedly:

    Amos
    Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Fryers
    Valencia, Park, Gibson, Diouf
    Macheda, Berbatov

  453. WillieRedNut says:

MG – Lol. Disclaimer is yours pal.

  454. Mikekelly12 says:

    Fred
I’m sure others wont share my opinion on this but…. Diouf, I just don’t get him?

  455. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Sorry to hear about Brucie being sacked but its deserved he made so many mistakes that realistically half their board should be sacked to for allowing Bruce to make the decisions he did. No team can cope with wholesale changes like he made in such a short ammount of time. It takes time for players to blend together and form partnerships and instinctively know where the other is.
The other thing he made a huge mistake about was the signing of John Oshea and Wes Brown. Dont get me wrong, they are class and I wouldnt be upset if they were still with us but it was doomed to failure. I just dont understand the thinking behind signing them two. Both, Wes more so, are not exactly what you call vocal and the organising type but rather was the man who did the dirty work and followed the organiser whether it was Ferdinand or Vidic. So if a follower goes to a club lower than where theyve been, who becomes the organiser. Can a career small team organiser feel confident organising and bosing about an ex Manchester United multi league winning defender. Most wouldnt dream of it, so by bringing in the experience you lose the voice of the team. Bruce maybe didnt see this because he himself cant understand why a person wouldnt want to spread his experience and knowledge and step up and take command of a lesser team. Buts its not really what Wes and Sheasie are about. They lead through hard work and are not really dominating and confidence building figures.

  456. Fred says:

Mike – Me neither mate. Wanted him to be a success from the moment we signed him, a la Chicharito, but it hasn’t happened and never will imo.

  457. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Those watching MUTV – Got this tweet from Nick Coppack: “Short interview with Paul Pogba coming up after the break on MUTV. Tune in if you can.”

Just to update you guys. If any of you catch it, do let us know.

  458. FletchTHEMAN says:

Anyone else thinking that Hughes will be the next Sunderland manager?
Hughes would fit the mold nicely. Managing UnitedB !

    SunderlandFC = UnitedB

Part of Fergies master plan…….. The Stealth United!

  459. Sandeep1878 says:

    Mike,

    Hello Pal,

I know you are upset with Diuof..

But i have to say he was impressive against Leeds,

He has imporved his pace, ball posession and ball holding abilities,

if he players as striker, then i would bet him to score tonight..

The lad is so much changed compared to his prior Rovers loan spell…

Sir Alex has thrown him a life line, but its upto him now

  460. Mikekelly12 says:

    Fred
I can only assume they’re usin the CC as a shop window for him. I’d sooner see Cole out wide, particularly as Diouf is supposed to be a CF. Or maybe I’m way off the mark and he’s ready to explode!

  461. Fred says:

Balaji – thanks for the tip-off.

  462. WillieRedNut says:

FletchTHEMAN – News on the grapevine, it’s Martin O’Neil.

  463. Fred says:

Missed the start of the interview. Was he asked about the contract talk?

  464. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Fred, Cheers mate and thanks for the link, caught the end of it. Seems like a deliberate ploy by the club to quell the rumors for now. Would be better if they just spelled it out loud instead of loading us with these subtexts.

  465. aimanunited says:

So Berba, Park and Valencia are official starters for CC?
I think they can do a good job in PL esp vs newcastle last week but who am I to question Sir Alex…

Paul Pogba just on MUTV. Sounded really committed to the club. YESSSS!

  467. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Heres a hilarious article to point and laugh….rediculously poor knowledge of the game, bollox as usual from piss poor journo’s

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/nov/30/chelsea-premier-league-icon-manchester-united

“Chelsea bigger PL icons than Utd and Pisspool”
“Didier drogba most iconic foreign PL player ahead of Cantona,Ronaldo,Zola etc”

 Hilarious looks like Paul Wilson had Roman Abrahmobitch’s bannana in his mouth while typing this hamster shite.

  468. FletchTHEMAN says:

    via the Guardian
Amos, Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Fabio, Valencia, Gibson, Park, Diouf, Berbatov, Macheda.

@Willie Cheers mate. Heard it was Hughes or O’Neil as well. Both would be good.

  469. WillieRedNut says:

papii – Cantona, or Henry for me. Not the Drog!

  470. Fred says:

My inside team news just confirmed as correct on MUTV. ;)

aimanunited – was just thinking yesterday; Torres (£50m) Carroll (£35m) Berbatov (£30m) Nasri (£25m) are all players who get most of their starts in the Carling Cup.

  471. Sandeep1878 says:

That awkward moment when Torres went to Chelsea to win trophies & LFC kicked them out of the Cup competition

  472. utd_fc says:

any idea about the starting line-up??

  473. FletchTHEMAN says:

Jonny Evans captain v Palace. ComeOn United Youth!!!!! Love this!

  474. WillieRedNut says:

    Well done Jonny! :)

  475. Sandeep1878 says:

    Pappi,

Pal, thanks for the best link of my life,

how fucking Hilarious can the Guardian get?

    Unbelievable :)

dont know whether i m in shock or in joking mood..

fucking funniest piece of shit headline by Guardian..

even the Chelsea fans and players might have shit in their pants after due to excitement after reading that headline :P

  476. Den says:

Bolox to that gibson in ahead of the younger players blocking their path, he needs to go

  477. Fred says:

Papii – that’s the biggest pile of shite I’ve ever read. I’d expect it of the “Sabotage Times” but not the Guardian FFS. There goes the last shred of respect I had for that news outlet.

Chelsea have won 3 Premier League titles to our 12 FFS. Stunningly crap article. A wind-up even TalkSport would balk at.

  478. Den says:

Bo#ox to that gibson in ahead of the younger players blocking their path, he needs to go

  479. FletchTHEMAN says:

Subs: Lindegaard, Morrison, Pogba, Cole, Fryers, M Keane, Lingard

Would really like to see Morrison and Pogba in the second half.

  480. MG says:

    I’m the Disclaimer man

Disclaimer: I don’t mind being called anything other than Disclaimer

As long as it’s reasonable of course ;)

  481. Fred says:

    Botox to Gibson!

  482. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    New thread up lads!

  483. Zibbie says:

Mike12 he has played well almost every time he has been given time. BOOM EXPLODE WITH A BRACE AND ANS ASSIST!!!!!
SAF has kept him for a reason.
Bruce, how sad. Good man great player.

  484. MG says:

    New thread Amen

  485. Fred says:

Just realised that my leaked team had Fryers at LB instead of Fabio. Sorry lads.

  486. WillieRedNut says:

Is that dirty Den? where’s Ange, these days? ;)

  487. ididnotzeeit says:

Huh, interesting line-up. The one man midfield that is Darren Gibson. A Pirlo-esque performance tonight? A 4-1-5? Get stuck in lads.
