Whilst I’ve been fairly apathetic to the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, I would be absolutely gutted if Wayne Rooney ever decided to leave. His ability, his workrate and his attitude to the game and our club make him stand out above the rest.
He has today claimed that if Sir Alex Ferguson plays him in his proper position, where he’s been playing for England and scoring plenty, he will be able to compensate for the goals we’ll miss without Ronaldo and Tevez.
“We’ve lost two key players and obviously I hope we can get a few players in,” said Rooney. “Between them Cristiano and Carlos scored a lot of goals for us last season and the season before, but I would like to think I’m capable of filling that gap. I’ve said before that, if I can play in my right position, I’m capable of doing that.”
Time for wazza 2 step up and prove wat united fans already know that he’s world class viva Rooneyyyyyyyy.

He has so much ability, talent and creativity. He can do the job but i think SAF will have to adjust berbatovs game to make him play higher up the pitch so Wayne can play in the hole
I have never met a United fan that doesn’t love Rooney. I hope we play him in his favorite position next season, that’s where he belongs. Perhaps he doesn’t need to track back as much now, Ronaldo often did a lousy job tracking back and Rooney often needed to fill in defensive duties for him.

Wazza will break the scoring record for a United player in a single season provided that he is given the central striker role and more importantly he avoids injury. He is capable of scoring for fun and definitely is capable of going on a scoring spree in any game and for any stretch. He would have been a bigger loss than any other player at Old Trafford and his time has now come.

For me the Talent is quite rightly there with Rooney! He now has to fulfil everyones expectations.
If i am honest i feel he disapears at times in the big games! I think he gets so wrapped up with the Emotion that he doesnt relax and perform! Maybe this will come with experience!

I like the sound of that Rooney! but it remains to be seen if he can make up for the Loss of both Ronaldo and Tevez, he cannot win us the title all by himself next season. he’ll need the rest of the lads to pull out magnificant seasons for us to score enough goals to win it next season. coz im sorry without ronaldo and tevez we havent got that knack for goal scoring that we need.

I genuinly believe that Rooney will replace Ronaldo’s goals now that hes effed off. When Rooney plays with England, the team looks to him to score the goals, not gerrard or lampard! Whereas with United the last 2 seasons, it has always been Ronaldo that the team looks to to score goals. Now with him gone, the defense and midfielders, whoever they may be, will need someone else up front to step up and take the responsibility to score.
That will be Rooney!

I don’t see Wayne Rooney playing anywhere but Man United. He said before that his dream is to play for United for the rest of his career which makes us like him even more! I feel like he’s been in the shadow of Ronaldo in the last 2 seasons but now I think that he has a bigger chance to shine. I’ve always seen him as the “Golden Boy” not Ronaldo. I’ll never have enough words to say about Rooney =)
