Rooney: I Love This Club

Following a cracking start to the new season, scoring four goals in four games for United, Wayne Rooney has pledged his future to the club.

“I’ve always said that I love this club and, as long as I’m wanted here, I’ll play here,” said Rooney. “It’s as simple as that. I can’t see one reason why I should want to move to another club. I’ve get everything that I want here. My family are just 30 minutes away, I’m settled here and I honestly can’t see me going anywhere else unless I’m told otherwise by the manager.”

  3. ash says:

ROONEY will become a true legend this season when he scores many goals.
but i guarentee guys thaT stupid perez will come and bid for rooney also.
but as said rooney wont go.

  4. alinaabbamancesterutd says:

Hi reds !,Wazza always trying to shows his appreciation to the reds family.that’s y he’s always my best player.up wazzzz.

  5. Readbeard says:

I realise it’s not a particularly original sentement but I bloody love Wayne Rooney!

  6. Corea says:

We need this sort of players.
If Giggsy, Scholesy and Neviller retired after the end of the 09-10 season we would have some players like Rio (7 years), Wes (10+ years), Fletch (academy player), OShea and more importantly Wayne Rooney (6 years at the club). And they all won Champoins league and these would help keep continuity and values i am so proud of.

  7. bchilds says:

    We love you Wazza!

  8. READ CAREFULLY WHAT I says:

Once he settles in he could do well.

  9. Rax says:

    Guaranteed future legend.
These days too many players float from club to club only with paychecks and media stardom in mind. It’s great to see ‘younger’ lads taking the mantle from players like Giggs and Neville. Staying out of the limelight for reasons other than football, respecting their peers, and showing unwavering commitment and true love for their club.
    Pure class.

  10. aig alex is god says:

no doubt in wazzas commitment.he wil stay at the club for years and hopefully will end his career here.my tip is he will be all time leading scorer for both united and england

  11. tutechkeane says:

FROM THE FIRST DAY I SAW ROONEY I KNEW HE AND MANU WERE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN.

  12. lidija says:

remember the pix from Diaby goal the other day- Roo in Carrick lap – brilliant, speaks for it self – http://www.football365.com/Gallery_Detail/0,17732,13282_5522092,00.html

  13. Sketch says:

Its good to hear that. Rooney will without a doubt become a united legend. The things he has achieved at such a young age are extraordinary. He could easily get 30 goals this year, as he would be the penalty taker.
Still optimistic about winning the league with Rooney as top scorer.

  14. bestie07 says:

Rooney needs to quit the henry type ball caressing bull **** and return to the ball blasting hurricane nature which made him such a force.
For me rooney’s game has suffered due to other high profile players who possess more elequant styles.I believe that rooney has altered parts of his game slightly[maybe sub-consciosusly] in order to be more appreciated in certain circles.

  15. elblanco says:

Wayne Mark Rooney… our past, our present and our future.

  16. Bring Back Cantona says:

If only we could find another 10 like Rooney !

  17. King Eric says:

The Rooney documentary – the first five years on MUTV last night was superb. Great to see the likes of Tiny Tears and Cashley saying how “world class” he is. Love the kid.

  18. aig alex is god says:

just wtchin sme german bundeslìga games.feel we have missed ou on robben again.looked brilliant against wolèsburg.gojko kacar is the player catching the eye.brilliant bnx to bnx player.also werder bremen duo mesut ozil and marko marin look stars of the future.the german league has sme gr8 players that we can sign in the future

  19. aig alex is god says:

just wtchin bundesliga highlights .feel we have missed out on robben again.player who has caught my eye is gojko kacar.brilliant box to box player.werder bremen duo marko marin and mesut ozil too look like stars for the future.we should monitor these players and look to sign them in the future.

  20. AlphaRS says:

    @aig alex is god

I think we missed out on a few players. Particularly midfielders.
I think at the very top level our midfield is lacking.
Perhaps looking at Robben, Van Ver Vaart, and Sneijder would have been a good idea?

  21. Sketch says:

    aig alex is god
Gotta disagree with you mate. Robben is a cheating cunt, who often choices to shoot other than pass. I don’t want him anywhere near united. Kacar however is brilliant.
Still concerned about out midfield, apart from Fletcher i don’t see any improvements from Ando and Carrick. Don’t want Fergie to buy just because they are under-performing but would consider it in Jan if they don’t play any better.
I know this may sound like a stupid question .
When does the transfer windows close exactly?

  22. aig alex is god says:

@sketch.fine mate.i agree that robben is selfish at times and injury prone but he is a class act.transfer window closes tmmrw night(tuesday night).deals can be dne tmmrw til 12 in the night.wnt be anywhere as exciting as last year

  23. manutdchampions2008 says:

    Sketch
what are you talking about off course that is a reason to buy in CM, when the likes of carrick and anderson do not performe they get moved on and bring in players who know what to do that job in CM. united must be the only top european club that have not bought right in CM

  24. Gudjohnsen says:

Rooney – we will NEVER get rid of you!

  25. dela says:

It may be a tad optimistic, but I would like to think that our relative dormancy in the transfer market might be due to the Gaffer’s faith in Hargo’s recovery. He is the answer to all our prayers- a hard-tackling midfielder who is also a very good creative force in the middle of the pitch. Oh and he can take free kicks too.

  26. sanj says:

    dela- very good point.

manutdchampions, i see you are back. that was a rather prompt recovery from your brain transplant.

  27. Ankur says:

guys i think our midfield is more than good enough…y do u forget paul scholes..ya, he’s old but he can still do wonders..and as for carrick, he’s a class act nd he’ll be top-notch before u knw it..fletcher’s been amazing..and as for wayne rooney..all i can say is..HE IS THE BEST striker in england right now and certainly in the top 3 of the world..A true manutd legend!..

  28. Wheres_my_bottle says:

    Krancjar??

  29. 20legend99 says:

In ten years time we’ll be talking about Wazza the same way we talk about Cantona and Ole. Mark my words, United legend in the making.

  30. aig alex is god says:

wheres_my_bottle.spurs are close to signing krancjar.dnt think we wil go foq him

  31. Wheres_my_bottle says:

thought he’d be a good addition to our squad. Good vision, talented, young. I daresay, he’s better than ando or carrick at the moment.

  32. aig alex is god says:

wheres_my_bottle.agree mate.carrick and ando are having a massive dip in form.the players i named in my earlier comment are 20 and 21 year olds.so we can go for them if they keep up their performance levels.

  33. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    dela
not trying to steel your thunder
but i said that last month mate
if we do nothing in midfield it means , to me, that the hargo training the end of september plan is still on

  34. Red Rooney says:

    KMA YKA

  35. dela says:

    @Gotta hate tiny tears
Sorry mate. Didn’t read your post. But yes, Hargo’s return can’t come soon enough.

  36. Ulster Red says:

    tutechkeane
what is it with people saying “manu” please dont use that

  37. ozzmufc says:

    WHO NEEDS RONALDO AND TEVEZ
    WE HAVE THE ROONEY!!

  38. MUFC2010 says:

    ROONEY>RONALDO

  39. Oliver says:

    I love ROONEY!

  40. King Eric says:

Why do people think Carrick has suddenly gone shit? As I said on another post it was only Jan or Feb after he was Ingerlunds man of the match that many a person was saying on here “Carrick is the most under rated midfielder”. It will just be a dip in form due to confidence. He will get it back so will Ando. With Hargreaves to come back and Adem Ljijac to come our midfield will be spot on.

  41. King Eric says:

PS Kranjkaer is NOT United class.

  42. Tony Starks says:

Of all the stuff written on this thread I agree with one thing – Kranjkaer is NOT United class

  43. elblanco says:

Is valencia united class?? time will tell

  44. manutdchampions2008 says:

sanj well we all know you know nowt about the game with your blind faith in the team that has a weak CM. Keep ypur head up the managers ass when fergie himself knows he is concerned heavily on that area of the team why do you think Anderson and carrick have been grilled it’s a fact the CM is awful and upfront is not much better is well. You take fletcher and rooney out of this team and it is a mess.

carrick looks poor, his passing lack of mobility and ability to dominate games is woeful. He gets found out in the big games time and time again. And his goal scoring record is not much good either. Still united over payed for the guy

anderson the guy is useless he lacks creativity. Ability to pass short looks woeful let alone his long passing game, and he can’t even score goals. Aint he supposed to replace scholes LOL.

scholes he was great now he is coming to the end of his career and at times he looks his age.

hargreaves what more needs to be said but his injuries could end hargreaves whole career, he has not played since september. Palacious united missed out on him big time.

berbatov and owen are close to 30 and they get dropped for the big games. United for me are still short of a world class CM, a world class striker and maybe another world class winger.

  45. sarah says:

    WE’LL NEVER DIE

  46. sanj says:

right, i do have faith in united, some might call it ‘blind’, others might call it ‘loyal.’ fergie is concerned about the midfield as am i. but my concern is not “anderson is shit, carrick is shit.” i think both of them are suffering from a poor run of form and more importantly, confidence. i think that fletcher is fantastic and once carrick and anderson regain their form the midfield will be fine. did everyone forget the past three seasons already?
then we all know about you have to say- that united need this, need that, and that you know more than fergie. this signing was a mistake, should have signed this guy (hindsight is 20/20 but not if you can predict the future like you) berba is lazy when he doesn’t score but when he does, anyone who calls him lazy needs a brain transplant.
if i had to choose between having blind faith, or constantly criticizing the team i supposedly ‘support’, i would choose the former every day of the week. agree to disagree, mate.

  47. wllmhll says:

i just hope his relationship with sir alex ferguson never turns sour.

  48. bigphil2003 says:

Oh my god, im so fucking bored of every single story havin 5 different people talking about robben, or sneijder or van der vaart or silva or some other player that isnt actually that great and how united have ‘missed out on them’ – they hardly missed out if they werent interested in the first fucking place!
    Ps. Rooney is king.

  49. King Eric says:

bigphil – 100% spot on. Like you say if United rated these players Sir Alex would have gone in for them. Fucking Kranjkaer, Robben and Van Der Vaart?

  50. Jayunited4eva says:

It’s so cliched from us United fans, but still I LOVE ROONEY!Ah.I thought my love for this guy’s hit the maximum already, but everyday the maximum levels getting higher.LOVE THE GUY.LOVE HIS GOAL CELEBRATIONS.AND FREAK,HE KEEPS ON KISSING OUR BADGE.AH.LOVE ROONEY.

  51. irish-red says:

    gotta love roonerz!!!!

I stopped going onto bbc 606 because i was sick of reading comments from idiots. this site is usually so much better but i have to get this off my chest.
Im sick of people banging on about our ‘weak’ midfield.
lets just look at the personnel we have at our disposal.
including injured and loaned players here is what fergie has.
fletcher, hargreaves, carrick, anderson, scholes, giggs, gibson, possebon and james.

nobody thought we had a weak midfield until we were outplayed by barca. do people need to be reminded that barca have xavi and iniesta, two of the best cm in the world.

lets just get behind the current crop and hope for another great season!!

  52. Alpha_RS says:

    @Irish-Red

Isn’t that the point? Barcelona have Xavi and Iniesta.
We don’t have anything close to that. That is the problem.

The midfield do not contribute enough goals. That can’t be denied.
    It needs to be addressed.

No matter which combination of the midfield I put together I can not find one that will win the Champions League.

  53. aig alex is god says:

    @Alpha_RS & Irish-Red.

Lets not hide from the reality here.our midfield is not strong enough and that is a reality.Ronaldo being there in that midfield made it look stronger and hargos return will make it more steady. However we dont have any quality attacking midfielder like scholsey did 4-5 years back.we have to replace him.ando was brought in to do that but has failed to achieve it.how many times do we see rooney as the only player when crosses are being delivered in the box.we need more presence in the area and people to make those sort of late runs scholes did in the past.ando and carrick are not doing that.Fletch is a defensive mid.it is foolish to expect him to do that.

  54. Wheres_my_bottle says:

Alpha_RS : I agree with you. We’re not getting goals from midfield at all. And if we really expect Utd to win it all this season we cant rely JUST on Wazza, Berbatov and Mickey Owen can we??? We need a younger version of Paul Scholes.

Take the example of Juventus. They have the likes of Amauri, Trez, Iaquinta, Alex Del Pierro but they went out and got Diego. He ripped Roma to shreds. We need someone like that and thats a fact.

  55. aig alex is god says:

    forgot manners.good morning everyone.

@Wheres_my_bottle.good you mentioned diego.really felt we should have gone for him.anyways no use talking about that nw.but he is as good as Kaka in my opinion.People dont knw much bcoz the German league was not that well followed but the technical ability of the lad is amazing.

Cant Understand why people have a problem the names of Robben and Sneijder being mentioned.while i agree van Der vaart is little overrated, lets face it the other 2 are better than any of our midfielders at present.

  56. manchuchu says:

We can’t ignore Darron gibson anymore…give the boy a game for fuck’s sake.

  57. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    manchuchu
I really will be surprised if he is over looked this season
this guy is really the best youth prospect in english football now that possebon aint in ingerland at the moment
as ive said many times darren gibson has the tools to be everything the media say lumpard is.
anyone know a chant for gibson?

  58. King Eric says:

    Morning

    Manchuchu – Good point.

aig – Robben turned us down for the rentboys. He is also a diving cheating horrible cunt. Cannot understand for the life of me why you would want to see this twat in a UNited shirt? Carrick and Anderson will find their form, give them chance.

Just because someone can rip “Roma to shreds” doesn’t mean he would in the Premier league. Alan Smith tore Roma to shreds three seasons ago.

If Sir Alex thought our midfield needs changing then he would have fucked Anderson off and bought someone in. People want instant results after 4 games.

  59. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

our wonderful former chief executive perter slap head fucked around Robbens deal to come to united and another team came in with a straight up deal for more money, i dont really blame robben as much as i dont like him

  60. aig alex is god says:

    king eric.hi mate.

Cheating cunt.well he is class act.rival sides even called ronaldo a cheating cunt but because he was our player we supported him.
If you knw the actual story behind Robben we fucked up the deal.he didnt turn us down.we took way too much time in negotiating hoping to lower the price and then chelsea came along and offered a big amount.
As for Diego i wnt say much but i have seen him in the German League and he is sheer class.he is not a one much wonder buta class act.amazing control of the ball and can play slick one twos.you will hear a lot more about him this year.
I m just saying that our midfield has been poor since that inter game last season (2nd leg).I have faith in Sir alex and he is taking a big gamble by palcing so much faith in Ando.my question is,when you are being brought to replcae scholesy how come your improvement goes in the backward direction,no goals in 2 seasons?not even 0.000001%of scholes.he has to step up big big time.

  61. Dakota says:

i dont think the manager will ask him to go anywhere for a long long time..

  62. Wheres_my_bottle says:

aig alex is god : Spot on. Ando used to play really far up the pitch when he was at Gremio. Just behind the forward, as a link up between the mid and the forwards. Cant we have him play in that position and see if he does any better?? Carrick has been good for us in the past season and doesnt really deserve the criticism i guess. But his work rate has dipped considerably and the man just doesnt look inspired.

BTW, Does anyone else fancy Sir Alex going in for the lad Joao Moutinho from Sporting?? He scored a gem against Fiorentina and has been their creative force for a long time.Good player that lad.

  63. redphil says:

Any chance of banning the term ManU? Fuck.

  64. Carolynn says:

The only reason why I can never miss a Manu match is that I want to see Rooney playing with all his might and mind. He may or may not be the best player in this world but this is for certain that he is the most devoted player ever!! The way he moves and plays has that limitless energy and unwavering spirit. I love it! I love you, Rooney! Manu will fall into pieces without you there!

  65. Rollins says:

    Good morning everyone.
@aig alex is god – i agree with you on our midfield, its lacking that ooomph, u know.

@King Eric – Diego is a class act, its not like he’s just begining to get mentions just because he ripped roma apart, i’m a red blooded united supporter but above that, i’m a football fan & watch other leagues, not just the premiership. Diego had long been tearing teams apart in germany, way before his move to juve. Look at arsenal, chelsea, liverpool and all the other top european teams, they have at least one key midfielder they can bet their life upon to change potential draws and losses into victory. Apart from fletcher, do we have anyone who can do that consistently? If we do, i just havent seen him. I’m not saying we cant win the league, i’m just hoping…scratch that, i’m praying that someone steps up really quick.

  66. wazza (Bezi) says:

we need to sign John Fleck of Rangers who is the next Rooney.

  67. willierednut says:

Diego looks good in the the italian league because its at a slower pace, the premiership is a hundred miles an hour, he wud’nt make it. No he’s not better than kaka, not even in the same class. ps good to hear rooney wats to stay at united once a blue always a red!

  68. aig alex is god says:

    willierednut

sorry mate disagree there.its not about the pace of serie a or BPL but the confidence in your talent and ability and Diego looks extyremely talented and is supremely confidentAnd i stand by what i say.he is as good as kaka.even kaka played in the italian league and made ripped us apart.Diego will be the man this season and Juve will do well in all competitions.

  69. MG says:

Wayne Rooney number 10 plays for Manchester United is better than Cristiano Ronaldo number 9 plays for Fake Madrid.

Honestly anyone see CR9 against Deportivo – man didn’t he even know where to be on the pitch.

Compare that to Rooney – Suddenly he’s back in the position he belongs and he’s creating havoc

Yes we shall have lots more of that please young Wayne : )

  70. willierednut says:

    @aig

He wud’nt make it in the prem mate, places like stoke and bolton he wud get kicked up and down the pitch that was 1 of reasons ronny left. Im not saying he’s a bad player, not at all but the prem wud’nt be suited to his style of play.

  71. gingerprince says:

I doubt if anyone will ever bid for him …as they would know that there is no chance of him leaving us …just like it was in Scholesy’s case!!!!

  72. wayne says:

its refreshing to find a player who’s motivated by the love of the game and the club he’s plays for rather than the pay check he could play for any club in the world and no doubt get a big pay rise.we are lucky to have him

  73. Datnana says:

I wish to see anderson/giggs/nani rooney(middle) and valencia/gibson/heargr in midfield, with rooney given the opportunity to roam behind 2 strikers (owen/mach/nani and berb) in a 4-3-1-2. Roo as link up between midfield and forward will shoot often and united won’t miss whoever.Thought about nani upfront as lone striker? He dribbles better than ronaldo. Long live wazza.

  74. manutdchampions2008 says:

    Datnana
what planet are you on no series do you have any idea how football works especially in CM. anderson rooney nani giggs in a midfield 4 that is just football suicide. anderson is awful, giggs is coming to the end of his career and rooney is a striker. we saw what happened when alan smith was used in CM it ruined his career. your comments are of someone who knows very little about the game what next ben foster has a RB.

    sanj
oh yes fergie could have done better in the transfer market. what you are failing to grasp is ronaldos freak form saved fergie from the awful signings of hargreaves anderson tevez nani berbatov who in ronaldos time they were either injured or just plain awful. even though there was aguero torres ribery palacious yaya toure mascherano want me to go on. even signing alonzo in 2004 and just shipped out keane who over stayed his welcome. be blind but the reality is fergie has bought awfuly in CM and still has not put thie midfield right since keane scholes beckham giggs axis was broken up in 2003.

  75. sanj says:

manutdslagger- fergie hasn’t put the midfield right since 2003. it’s a shame since then we have only won 3 premier league titles and a european cup. what is fergie thinking?! clearly, manutdslagger knows more than he does. my mistake, footballing genius.

  76. manutdchampions2008 says:

    sanj
hmm lets think you take ronaldo out of the united team between aug 2006 to may 2009 there is no 3 league titles and a european cup its that simple thats why your football knoledge is poor. barcelona won 2 league titles and a european cup ronaldinho goes dwn hill but the difference is barca still had world class players who will take the mantle united have not got that epecially in CM and attack if you take rooney and fletcher out of the team.

  77. sanj says:

    manutdslagger
hmmmmmmmmm didn’t realize ronaldo played 1 vs. 11 for 3 years? what was i watching when i saw 10 other united players on the field with him? oh, they must have just been there watching. and my knowledge is poor? you attribute 3 years of success to ONE player? you’re mad. i hope others are reading your nonsense.

  78. manutdchampions2008 says:

    sanj
just shut up seriously just shut up and have a closer look without ronaldo united would have won nothing united in the 3 years were basically a one man team in the attacking part of the team. ronaldo was the difference in winning 3 league titles a european cup and not winning nothing. oh yea 07/08 ronaldo got 42 goals tevez 19 rooney 17 that was the only 3 that scored the most goals that year. you take those 42 goals out of the team there is no league title and certaintly no european cup. oh yea who scored the goal in the european cup final ronaldo if ronaldo was not there chelsea win the european cup its that simple. the team between 98-2003 that was a far more complete team because loads were scoring goals.

  79. King Eric says:

manutdchampions2008 – Got to say you are talking shit mate. Do you seriously think Ronnie won it all on his own? Certain big players like Wazza had to be played out of position to accomodate the ego. It is ignorant to say we only won because of Ronaldo. What about VDS, Vida, Rio, Evra, Carrick, Rooney, Fletch, Nani, Berba etc etc??

  80. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    realmadridchampions008
the reason ronaldo had such a hand in our run of play for 2 seasons/not 3 / was because the fucking team was set up around him.
he’s gone now to your beloved
so the wouldbe 4 time in a row champions are set up another way

  81. manutdchampions2008 says:

    King Eric
I am think I am talking perfect sence we were a one man team in the attacking part. do not get me started with overated berbatov, yes that is true united won because of ronaldo that is a fact. do not blame ronaldo for rooney played out of positiopn in the 08/09 season you are talking rubbish there that is a typical brittish bitter comment towards ronaldo blame ferguson for poorly signing average CM players. vds ferdinand vidic evra did their job but carrick nani flecther LOL, carrick nani alone have been average and awful, fletcher done his bit but he has never been a match winner, berbatov you must be joking he has been awful not in ronaldos league for being uniteds big time player.

  82. theboogeyman says:

There’s a saying that goes:”If my auntie had balls, she’d be my uncle.”.I think it applies here to what manutdchampions2008 is saying.

  83. Stephen says:

You are getting boring now your anti British comment is typical, why not support Real eh?

  84. manutdchampions2008 says:

    Gotta hate tiny tears
LOL well the team looks distinctly average without ronaldo. yes its a pool of average players with propably one world class attacking player which is rooney. united may win the league but like celtic wins the league that does not move away from the fact that this is one of uniteds most average teams that they have ever put together. when united sign average players like owen valenica and obertain you got to question how big are united really. like I said if united done what real madrid done this summer you would go crazy over how united would win it all.

  85. King Eric says:

manutdchampions2008 – You obviously miss the point. I would fucking HATE for United to have done what the fascists did and just buy the team. No youth players just huge ego stars. No thanks. Carrick has been instrumental to our 3 titles. Just because the lad is suffering from loss of form you say he is shit. United have never been full of stars. The 99 team was made up of grafters with some stars. Johnsen, Neville, Butt, Blomquist, sheringham etc were hardly “super stars”. Your whole attitude on this matter is bad in so many ways. We are not Madrid we are UNited.

  86. King Eric says:

PS How are players like Berba, Nani, Evra, Vidic, Rio, Carrick, Fletch, Da Silva twins, Macheda, Valencia, Giggs, Scholes average?

It is all about the balance of the team and Sir Alex always gets it bang on. It is about having strong characters and not just big ego’s.

  87. wazza (Bezi) says:

@manutdchampions2008 : just STFU you fool. go and play Fifa or PES to make your team. didn’t you hear Fergie say that the transfer market has caught fire this summer.

LOL the problem is there are to many squad players making the starting 11. when did I ever say evra ferdinand fletcher de silva twins welbeck macheda were average they are class and possibly can be, my problem is in the CM the wide players and strikers. carrick was a key player LOL thats a laugh, he is vastly overated I just do not rate him at all. he is found out time and time again especially in the big games. celtic have grafters and look how poor they are.

    wazza (Bezi)
it is called an insurance policy when you lose a top player make sure the quality is there which it is not. barca had that when the likes of ronaldinho etoo and deco were gone.

  89. wazza (Bezi) says:

@manutdchampions2008 : i agree with you that we should have made that star signing to replace Ron but not that overrated cunt Tevez. we all know what happened with Benzema, the price quoted by Bayern for Ribery (who wants to play in Spain), Villa and Silva highly unlikely to leave Valencia this season. which is the star signing you wanted ? Barca sold off R’dinho and Deco because they were past their best.

  90. Tony Starks says:

MUChamps2008 – We may not be as good without Ronnie but we were NOT a one man team in attack. To say that is so disrespectful to players like Rooney, Tevez, Giiggsy, Berba, Park, Nani or whoever played with him attacking wise.

Your other views lose credibility when you make a stupid statement like that

  91. manutdchampions2008 says:

    wazza (Bezi
do not get me started on tevez he is one of the worst strikers in europe just awful. what I am getting across is barca did not need to sign much because they already have class players anyway they had their basis covered. united do not have that option and it starts from CM the wide areas and the strikers. its like who patners fletcher in CM, who panters rooney upfront and the wide areas are not much better either.

    Tony Starks
I think united are a one man team in attack. yes at times thats unfair and rooney but his goals return is nowhere near of ronaldo and ronaldo did offer a ton of different types of goals which rooney cannot provide. tevez giggs park nani are not even in ronaldos league when giggs is coming to the end of his career, park and tevez are awful nani blows hot and cold.

  92. Tony Starks says:

    manutdchampions2008

OK we will see at the end of the year how many goals the team scores this year compared to last year then? Is that your measurement of ‘attack’?

Whatever anyone says, without doubt we will attack more as a team now that Ronnie has gone. One poor game (vs Arsenal) does not make a bad season

  93. wazza (Bezi) says:

@manutdchampions08 : stop having pipe dreams of overhauling the squad. ffs, we are no Real or Shitty.

  94. King Eric says:

Manutdchampions2008 – You actually amuse me and I DO agree with some of your points on here but Rooney is only 16 goals behind Ronaldo after playing a season less, nasty injuries and out on the wing. He also didn’t take penalties and free kicks. 5 in 5 so far.

I got a good name for u Gotta hate city tears. I dnt use 2009 because that is by far uniteds worst championship winning season. plus 2008 marks 50 years of the munich air crash. oh yea I could use 2000 the year united marked the most goal scoring in a season in 2008 united were not humiliated by barcelona why in the hell would I use 2009 when that was a awful season in terms of quality football.

  99. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    realmadricchampions2008 just a small thing
do you understand what my name is
    it means fuck john terry
you want to change it to hate city cyying
    knockyourself out
in 2009 manchester united entered 5 trophy winning events
    world champions- won
    european cup- got to final
    f.a. cup- semi final
    league cup- won
league title- won after putting up a fight against liverpool who played the best football they have played all season in 6 years they ended up with 86 points,1 point less than united won the previous season but 1 point more than runner up chelsea. united still won the 08/09 season by 4 points.
the reason liverpool tried so hard is that in the end of the 1989/1990 season liverpool won there 18th league title with 79 points 32points ahead of rival manchester united who had only, thou not bad, 7 titles.
on the 16th of may 2009 after a scoreless draw against arsenal your dreaded manchester united after a shit season and liverpool still have there 18th title, thus you can say which liverpool could say for nearly 30 years, NOONE HAS ONE THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP MORE TIMES THAN US. It was a fantastic season were players like fletcher steped up to the plate unknows to the united reserves like the da silvas jonny evans kiko macheda danny welbeck showed united the future while the past we knew in ryan giggs won the P.F.A. player of the year . peter schmeichel may be the greatest goal keeper of all time but Van Der Sar set an all time english and European clean sheet record which he did with an injury riden back 4 that had 8 different players during that run, Vidic became the worlds better defender during that time thou some believe Rio is better, what a fantastic arguement to have as a united fan. underused and over looked players like park tore arsenal apart over 2 legs in the semi final of the european cup in the finest football game seen in years. 2009 the year under won 3 trophys lost a semi final(with our reserves but could of been different if the correct peno desision was given, which is football) lost a final. made records history new young stars and made it 18 is a fantastic season.

morning mate.no point arguing with manutdchampions2008.i admit we were not anywhere near our best last season but we win the league with more points than in 2008 and that is the bottomline.we were also crowned champions of the world.its about trusting young players and giving them aplatform to deliver at the top level.thats what we do.thats why we are the most followed and supported club in the world.

  107. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

it gets more confusing when your talking to someone who see us as all one country
    evans-north
    gibson-south

  108. aig alex is god says:

good to hear that mate.thanks for the info.alwasy wonder why this sort of thing happens.i read in wiki some time back that gibbo was at the centre of a dispute because both NI and Republic of Ireland wanted him to play for them.I mean its rubbish. If there is just ireland we can see so many more quality players coming together and playing.

  109. unitedgirl16 says:

    Rooooooooooooooney!

  110. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

i know ireland could of had george best playing for them but he pllayed for the north, althou to once again confuse you george best played for the north thou it was called ireland and say johnny giles played for the south which is ireland but the team was called eire

  111. manu d best says:

We love you rooney!!!!!!! Pls stay and keep up the good job (scoring 4 da champs) :)

  112. Jish Inc. says:

Manutdchampions is a retard. No doubt about that. What football has he been watching? Didnt know Ronaldo could score so much and defend so well that we had one of the best defensive record in the PL.How many crucial solo goals did Ronaldo score or create in 3 seasons? Not many. He was good coz the TEAM gave him the platform. Please keep your stupid thoughts to yourself!!

united were awful last season, truly dreadful and thats a fact and I would rather forget last season because it had very phew enjoyable games. the ironic thing is united fans use to take the piss out of chelsea winning 1 0 and arsenal winning 1 0 and most of the italian teams winning 1 0 oh now united seem to be doing that now. united of 07/08 were far better despite at times ronaldo was at times the one scoring. the football was better the balance of the team was better and united on the counter were better and plus they were crushing the top teams. your forgetting the imbarrasing defeat to an average liverpool side. out played by barcelona in the final only picking up 4 pts against the top teams. and trying to fit a dredful berbatov into the team. there were more negatives then positives if the football and players under performing annd has a team it taints the season.

  114. whitefieldred says:

Can people please stop calling him Wazza????? It’s the most ridiculous nickname I have ever heard. It makes him sound like a smack dealer from Moss Side. Everytime I hear it I cringe.

On a personal side note…it’s a shame he didnt opt to play for Ireland, he would have tore it up next to Keane, Gibson and O’Shea…
