Rooney: I’m A United Player And Very Happy

wayne rooneyWayne Rooney has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid, claiming he is very happy at United.

“There’s always speculation, and when other big teams are talking about you, it’s nice that you’re talked about,” he said. “But as I’ve said many times before, I’m a United player and I’m very happy here.”

United went top after beating Hull 4-0 at the weekend, a position Rooney hopes we can cling on to until the end of the season, and win an unprecedented fourth title in a row.

“I hope we can win the title again this year,” he added. “We’ve won the league the last three years and nobody has ever won it four times in a row. We want to create history. The title race is much tighter this year and it’s probably more exciting for the neutrals or fans around the country. But we’re hoping that now we are top we can go on and remain there for the rest of the season.”

    hope he duznt do a r0naldo n go 2 da virus. . .rather do a giggsy! :)

  3. Jish Inc. says:

All these stories are made up by the media and its unsettling for the players. Good to hear Rooney is committed but the club needs to tie him down on a long term contract with a crazy buy out clause

  4. KingAbdullah says:

    Nothing we didn’t know

  5. chimshira says:

hope he stays in high gear till May!!! that’s what we need for the title…

  6. eddieTheRed says:

The great thing about Wayne is that he can become even better – he is the most gifted player in English football and he can do it all – win the ball, pass, create, assist and score all in one little super –competitive package! He’s starting to get a much higher rate of return from his chances than before and I think he will get an even higher rate of return in the years to come.

How Ronaldo would love to see him at Madrid and rekindle the most telepathic relationship in football – Sorry Cristiano but it ain’t gonna happen anytime soon!

p.s. Did anyone see the Milan derby last night? If Milan play that badly against Utd we’ll hammer them!

  7. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

    @Macheda IS GOD
as straight as the day is long
but you ask trigger about my love for this guy and she’ll tell ya
you mind can cross the line when the love is that strong

  8. Noqnoq48 says:

    @eddieThe Red

You’re spot on re Rooney. As for Milan, they played three quarters of the game against 10 men. Ronaldinho even missed a penalty. Here’s hoping their revival has fizzled out.

  9. Tony Starks says:

This is the beginning of the end people… when the offers become too good to be true he will be sold, it’s our new reality…

  10. bchilds says:

    We love you too Wazza!

    Rooney! Rooney! Rooney!

  11. james21 says:

Love the guy he has King Eric Status in my heart. Never really thought he would leave United.
    Rooney Rooney Rooney

  12. King Eric says:

Tony Starks – Disagree mate. Lighten up. Ronaldo wanted to leave, simple as that. Rooney is a homeboy!

  13. themufc1999 says:

if a player is as dedicated to the club as rooney is,theres no way fergie will let him go.

  14. bchilds says:

    King Eric

We can’t ignore the facht that Rooney was ‘committed’ to Everton at one point but I don’t think he’ll ever leave unless, for financial reasons, we have to sell.

  15. United4eva says:

All I can say to that is the King is dead…
    …long live the King.

Wayne Rooney: King of the Stretford End.

  16. mikekelly12 says:

I’d love a hat trick from him on Wednesday!!! Scrub that, I’d love a win of any type on Wednesday as long as we put those fuckers out!

  17. Scott the Red says:

Bchilds – You ever “fall in love” when you were at school? When you’re a kid, you feel committed, but it’s only when you become a man that you know what it’s all about.

Wayne was just 18 when he left Everton and it was puppy love. We’re the one :D

  18. The Shankill Skinhead says:

Big game player. Manchester United player. You either are or aren`t and he definitely is and always was gonna be. The Number 9 is never gonna be no matter how many silly statistics i keep reading about him. Deal with it.

  19. Toms says:

If the Glazers ever entertained offers to sell Rooney, I would be enraged.

  20. King Eric says:

Toms – I for one certainly would stop going to the games.

  21. Tony Starks says:

@King Eric… It’s nothing to do with Rooney wanting to stay or leave.. If an offer of £80 comes in, they will accept without hesitation..

anyway that’s summer 2011 am talking about so we still have 1.5yr left in this love affair of ours!

O, and the only way to make Glaziers leave is to stop going to games! So this may be the biggest mistake they make! The sacrifice to save the club…

… Chill am just giving a worst case scenario so I don’t get shocked if it happens

  22. Scott the Red says:

Tony Starks – £80m is a drop in the ocean compared to what they owe, but the money they can earn because of the trophies Rooney will help us win is what they’re here for.

It would make no financial sense to sell Rooney, unless he was desperate to go, like Ronaldo.

  23. utdforever says:

@ Tony Starks. Stop being so pessimistic mate. Even if an offer of 80mil were to come in as much as the Glazers are money thirsty cunts I don’t think they’d sacrifice Rooney for a lack of trophies. They know he’s worth his weight in gold and if they are to stick around for a few more years the most moronic thing they could possibly do is sell their prize asset who is arguably the only game changer we have. I don’t see him leaving or being asked to leave in the near future.

  24. utdforever says:

LOL Scott.. you beat me by 4 secs well done mate ;)

  25. utdforever says:

Oops.. maybe it was 4mins? Either way, didn’t see your post till after I wrote mine. Goodnight all!

  26. Costas says:

I like Scott’s answer regarding Rooney and Everton. It’s so sentimental. And it’s not even Valentine’s Day yet. :P

Anyway, I kind of agree with Tony Starks right here. I don’t think for one second that Rooney is dishonest. I am just afraid that once a tempting offer ala Ronaldo comes along, the Glazers will seriously think about selling him. They could always find a way to disguise it. Like they might have disguised their decision not to cash in on Ljajic. Just some randomt thoughts.

  27. Fred says:

Kenyan-Canadian Reds, you’ve just posted the exact same story as the one above! Your spamming is getting a bit annoying. Why don’t you start a blog?

As for Wazza, the media could easily spin this as ROONEY SAYS REAL INTEREST IS “NICE!”

I love him as a player but if these reports about him wanting £200,000 a week are true I am not impressed at all.

I never thought Wazza would leave, but it’s brilliant he spoke up so quickly and so firmly. No attempts to pressurise the club for more dosh – so unlike John Terry – just straight dealing. Perfect timing too, just before citeh. Love it,we do.

  34. Kenyan-Canadian Reds says:

Oh Fred after few days to am going to change that domain name and call it Manutdzone.com

  35. gazzor72 says:

If only Vidic would utter such a simple phrase…….

  36. alinaabbamancesterutd says:

that y we all love wazza.

  37. Jandsdad says:

I don’t reckon Rooney would leave Manchester United through his own choice and as he has stated on loads of occasions previous, he is a homebird and loves living in the North West being close to his family.
To compare Ronaldo’s transfer to a possible move to Spain for Rooney is flawed, as the 2 footballers are completely different personalities.
Rooney is a down to earth family man and Manchester United is a perfect match for him while Ronaldo is a flash fucker and the Fascists are a perfect match for him.

No matter how money grasping the evil leprechaun and his twisted offsping are they are not stupid enough to sell off Wazza for any price.

  38. Jandsdad says:

    @ gazzor72

yeah Vidic is just not showing the right commitment @ the moment.

I think at the last count he has only publicly stated his his pride and love for Manchester United 6 or 7 times. He must try harder. lol

  39. rooney the new king says:

Costas – like I say I dare the glazers sell rooney I dare them, and they will defiantly see and experience the dommino effect of the fans fury take place like a mexico wave, if they think MUST voice sound like small echos selling rooney they will feel the fans roar like an F5 tornado come rampaging at them.

  49. King Eric says:

Fuck off Wright you horrible little cunt. I would be more concerned with the fact your own club ain’t won owt in 5 seasons and probably won’t again. This is the THIRD week on the spin he has commented on United. Obsessed? Just another fucking piece of piss poor lazy journalism. “I would be worried that no money is going to players”. Not your concern Ian lad. Just look at his last 3 paragraphs. Is this “shift in balance” line a template that all pundits must use? Sick of hearing it. Cannot believe he says he can imagine Rooney “running out in white at the Bernabeu” . Thats just it though IAN I can’t!

gotta hate- sites like that bring more traffic to RoM; i don’t see why it’s a bad thing.

  51. jellybean says:

hi everyone! been ages since i commented, but i still read all the posts everyday. can’t wait till tomorrow, and not to sound obsessed, but i hope we teach that ugly argie twat a good footballing lesson. really pleased about beating hull so emphatically in the last 10 mins, my Utd-hating boyfriend called me up and said “THIS IS WHY I HATE UNITED, i KNEW they’d do this in the last minute”, BUT i want to see some results against shitty and arsenal. come on lads, let’s steamroll the bitters and the gooners!!!

  52. geneside says:

it is so because only we have the capacity to turn the game anytime we like……and to recover from a very hard position is all about our characteristics….
tomorrow we are goin to bleed city and will add to the red……….

    manu for life……………..

  53. james f says:

A bit off-topic, but I’ve just watched Ronaldo’s latest red card video and somehow felt better now that he doesn’t play for United. The arrogance, the constant pouting, that ever-unsatisfied face. A great player, but I’m starting to believe that we’re better off without him.
If only we had 11 Rooneys, we would be even better. 4 more goals from him in our next 2 games and he will be elevated to Cantona status.

  54. cantona7 says:

@jellybean do you need a United-loving scandal? hehe

anyway to whichever Kenyan Red that kept on posting the links, let’s laugh haha..

and to all Kenyan Red who has “Red Kenyan” of “Kenyan Red” in his name, let’s have a bigger laugh haha.. you guys are hilarious.. let’s just keep on cheering for United together!

    Glory Glory Man United!

  55. geneside says:

i thin city is a kind of team that will be defeated if any 11 person from this post will form a team and call it f**k city……

  56. manchuchu says:

Here’s a question to screw you guys up…

    Wazza vs the King

    Who would win?

Wazza has the all round ability, but the King was no slouch and had loads more flair. Who in your opinion goes tops?

  57. Ozzy says:

If only Rooney could break the EPL record of scoring 5 or more in a game just like what Defoe did in Tottenham’s 9-1 thrashing.

  58. Brio the Red says:

@ Cantona7 ~we’ve laughed out together, very loudly.and i’ve had to change my username afterwards. Hi Red Sam~hope you understand why, mate.pass my regards to Redvill. @MANCHUCHU~wazza is yet to achieve the legendary status accorded to The King, but he’s well & truly on his way there. When that happens, then we’ll sit down & analyse their contributions & the indelible mark each left on Old Trafford’s faithful.

  59. Brio the Red says:

@ Ozzy~ if there’s anyone capable of scoring five in a single game then it’s him.Certainly he has the right ingredients to achieve that this season, hasn’t he?well, let’s cross our fingers & wait coz i cant bet against him doing it,can you?

  60. RED SAM says:

    @ cantona 7
    stop the crap mate.
I will agree with your reaction on the kenyan-canadian dude but why do you categorize the entire kenyans ? is having a username with a name kenyan worth a laugh to you ??

  61. stretfordender says:

Costas, just mentioned this on the Welbeck story! I love Ando but performance last week against City when in an advanced role was poor. But I do trust in his ability.

  62. trevor says:

So rooney loves being at united!

Well… I love rooney being at united so it is reciprical! hahaha

  63. Costas says:

    @stretfordender

Yeah, he was quite poor at City, but he has had a quite good last couple of months. But if that story is true, it could be serious. Fergie won’t tolerate players no showing games or training sessions.

  64. rubito says:

Hi, I have absolutely no doubt in the fact that Rooney would NEVER want to leave United. He has said it so many times before and has shown by saying that he has no wish to leave exactly the opposite of CR who had to be forced to say it.
I just fear that it´s not going to be in his or Fergies hands whether he stays or not.
If Madrid or Barcelona come knocking with another 80 million pounds do we really believe the Glaziers won´t have a say?
I hope to god I´m wrong.

Come on you MIGHTY REDS let´s stuff City

  65. Little-Miss-United says:

    RoOoOoOoOoNeeeeeeey :*

  66. Muggaz says:

    on the Ando story,

I hope to god it’s not true… I thought he played well against City, and that Carrick should have been brought off rather than Ando… if he is sold, I will be upset to say the least, but if he hasn’t turned up to training, I fear he has made his own bed…

I digress though, it could be the ABU media just winding us up as is their want.

  67. aig alex is god says:

    Hello everyone.

Its obvious rooney will never leave united.all the rumours are tabloid bullshit

On the ando story i seriously feel time is running out for him.so i wont be surprised if he is shown the door in the summer.he has shown no consistency and has a shocking goal scoring record

  68. Costas says:

    @AIG

Hi mate. Haven’t seen you in a couple of days. Everything alright?

The problem that Ando and Nani have had after their first season imo, is CQ’s absence. I think that they are missing his influence. I just hope that this story isn’t accurate.

  69. aig alex is god says:

    Costas

    hi mate.

Everything good. Had gone to a hill station nearby with my parents just to get a break from the busy schedule.could not access the net or watch the game on saturday.told my friend to record the game.will watch it now.

  70. mufcdevils says:

hopefully hell get goals against manchester shitty, and ass-anal

  71. Costas says:

    @AIG

Ok. Glad to hear that. It was a good game. Enjoy.

  72. Don Pablo says:

Are the Kenyans who depart home to go live in the West the stupid ones? What i’m loving about Wayne this season is he has proved he is a great goalscorer whose career at Old Trafford has been held back by other players at given times. I’ll consider myself lucky to see the next five years of his career. He’ll definitely be a world great. We love you Wazza we do.

  73. King Eric says:

    aig – Welcome back.

Costas – I can actually see that Ando story being true. He wasn’t in Saturdays squad at all. The lad clearly needs to knuckle down. 2 good games every five ain’t good enough.

Rumours this morning we are in for the defender Chris Smalling from Fulham?

  74. Costas says:

    @King Eric

Hi. Gibson on the bench didn’t look look too suspicious at first, but it makes sense now. What can I say? I hope that this forces him to get his act together.

  75. willierednut says:

I agree with aig on this 1 ando was piss poor against city, kept giving the ball away. The problem with ando and nani this season is there being asked to step up to the plate and produce big performances and just yet they haven’t been capable of doing it. breaking news we’ve made a bid for chris smalling from fulham

  76. willierednut says:

The bids been accepted, dont know how much.

  77. Costas says:

Ando is in the squad for the City game from what I saw. I wonder if Fergie was asked about it. Thanks for updating us about Smalling.

  78. willierednut says:

Its not the signing we where expecting costas, but if the whinger wanted him he must have something about him.

  79. willierednut says:

King eric, i wudn’t worry about wat ian wright has to say, the day they stop talking about us is wen ill start to worry.

  80. Costas says:

    @willierednut

I am sure Fergie would say that he is one for the future. Honestly, I didn’t expect us to buy anyone this January, but maybe the O’Shea situation forced Sir Alex’s hand. We needed some backup since we can never be sure about Wes, Rio, Vidic and Evans’s fitness.

  81. aig alex is god says:

    King eric and costas

    thanks.its good to be back

smalling?all that i have heard about him is he scored an own goal against chelsea in december.how good is he?

  82. bigphil2003 says:

This Smalling business has confused me – he’s only played 2 and a half league games for Fulham in the past 18 months – what has he done to warrant a £7m move to United?

  83. willierednut says:

7 million bigphill2003, thats a lot of money for the kid.

  84. Costas says:

7 million? That is a lot. How much would Gary Cahill cost then?

  85. willierednut says:

Bolton want 20 million for cahill, id rather bring shawcross home if there’s a doubt about vida leaving in the summer.

  86. Costas says:

Boy, times have changed. There was a time when 10 million for Jaap Stam was considered a lot. I agree about Shawcross. Shame we gave up on him too soon.

  87. bigphil2003 says:

Pique, Vidic and Evra have all come and gone for in and around £7m recently so the boy has a lot to live up to. I’m still gutted that we sold Pique – he and Evans could have had a great partnership for years.

  88. Bebeto says:

Rooney knows the club as a whole, fans included, value him more than Barcelona or Real Madrid ever would.

People will be speculating on the basis that such rumours and reassurances preceded Ronaldo’s transfer. They’re not even close to being the same scenario.

Smalling for £7 million? You can automatically throw on a couple of millions for Arsenal having had a bid rejected. If this happens, and if Fergie was really that intent, we were always going to be swindled. The market dictates that there’s practically no room for negotiation anymore.

  89. willierednut says:

Its a great move for the kid, he was playing non league football a while ago now he’s on the verge of joining united, he must think he’s won the lottery.

  90. King Eric says:

Well now those fans disputing Fergie’s claims that there is no value for money need look no further. SEVEN million for an unproven defender. Silly money. Imagine how much Vidic would go for!

  91. geneside says:

i think we have to sell ji sung park…………..
he is the worst motherfucker i have ever seen playing football……….
    seriously
    a complete waste…..

  92. bigphil2003 says:

geneside, you mustn’t have watched a lot of football then.

  93. cantona7 says:

i am sorry if you feel insulted by my comment earlier.. It has got nothing to do with being a Kenyan, i’m perfectly ok with that in fact i am proud to read that.. this club is loved around the world! i humbly apologize for that..

  94. Bill the Red says:

Hmm. Sounds to me suspiciously like Ronaldo before he pissed off
