Rooney: I’m United For Life

After United’s easy 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough yesterday, Wayne Rooney has again reiterated his commitment to the club, claiming he will sign any extension given to him.

Having spent five years at the club already, Rooney intends to spend the rest of his footballing career at Old Trafford.

His commitment on the field is clear for anyone to see, with Rooney putting every shred of energy in to helping the team win, whether that be attacking the opponent’s goal or helping defend ours.

Rooney signed a six year extension back in 2006 which would see him at the club until he is 27-years-old.

“I am happy here and I’d sign a new contract any time,” said Rooney. “I want to stay at this club for the rest of my career. I will sign an extension any time the club want me to.”

  5. TheRedBaron says:

Well he’s got a lot of time ahead of him but i’d love to see Rooney taking over United as the boss, that still may be like two decades down the line but I bet he’d do the job as good as anyone. Heck i don’t mind him taking over the world, ROONEY FOR WORLD EMPEROR!!

  6. Saha ha ha says:

Offer him 25k a week for the next 10 years you’ll soon see him change his tune

saha ha ha, what kind of stupid, irrelevant comment is that????????? clown!
wayne rooney has shown his commitment and desire to play for us from day one! As far as i’m concerned, i dont think he sees money as an issue at all! He loves the club and we love him. Every single game, he puts 100% effort in and is an absolute joy to watch. Already a united legend, i couldnt give a fuck if he was chacing the cash! however, i really dont think he is, and if you think money is his motivation, your a bigger muppet than your ridiculous comment suggests!

Saha ha ha – What a stupid comment.

    Absolutely fuckin love Rooney. Legend.

  9. King Eric says:

off topic – the rosy cheeked lady boy ain’t playing for dippers. Hamstring they say. Lets see if they can score. Geordies are singing “you’re gonna win fuck all” the brass neck! Come on toon.

  10. Sash Sylvarre says:

Toon down 2 goals at halftime, unfortunately. I’m hoping they can turn this around, a draw at least will make me very happy.

only god knows how much I love this guy! YOU ARE THE LEGEND my mate! the amount of commitment and energy he puts in every game is unbelievable and could not be outdone by no one. not only is he incredibly professional and passionate on this pitch, his life off it also shows what a great man he is. I have no doubts whatsoever he’ll definitely become one of the greatest legends of not only United, but his country as well. contrary to what a lot of haters believe he is actually a very genuine and nice guy and all his concentration is focused on his family and football

Use the forum for off topic discussion.

Saha ha ha – you’re a wanker. Before we signed him, Everton were willing to break their wage structure to offer him a huge salary to stay at the club, but he refused because he wanted to come to United to win things. A decision which has been vindicated. He has never given any indication that he wants more money, just a longer contract, which in my book is a gesture of a true professional who wants to play for the shirt of the greatest club in the world. A true United great.

  14. Kings says:

On the topic of this United great. I have a bad feeling about Tuesday. And that one bad feeling is, I’m worried that Rooney might get a yellow card and miss the Final if we get there.

  15. Gman says:

@kings yeh ive been thinkin about it too, how about just having him on the bench, play with Park, Anderson, Carrick, Fletch and Ronnie and if we desperatly need a goal well put Rooney on

  16. Kings says:

Gman – If we converted our other chances and bashed them, then I would definitely say yes to leaving him on the bench with the hope of not having him invloved purely because of the yellow card he is carrying. But the fact that we are only taking a slender lead to the Emirates means we need him, especially as he will be required to play on the left to protect Evra from the threat of Walcott. A catch 22 situation I’m afraid. Fingers crossed he escapes a booking. With all the talk of Ronaldo, he is the one player that I would consider hugely important to our chances of winning trophies – I’m confident that we can beat anyone when he is playing.

  17. Macheda is GOD says:

wayne’s gonna play till he is 35. :) ONCE A BLUE ALWAYS A SHINING RED.

  18. jcolas says:

Rooney = legend in the making. I hope he doesn’t have a rush of blood to the head though on tuesday..

  19. theroc says:

In my opinion Rooney is the most underrated player in football at the minute. Quality wherever he plays and not getting the same recognition as others. Love him and already a United Leg-End!!!

  20. TonyBee says:

Saha ha ha > twat…enough said

  21. dre says:

hes already a legend in my eyes. world class.

  22. daveob82 says:

Given that he played 90 minutes on Sat and is one yellow away from suspension (potentially the final) – what are the odds that Waza won’t play tomorrow???

I think attacking wise Tevez + Berba would be enough to take on Arsenal but who is gonna give Patrice the cover he has been needing for the last few weeks??

  23. Marq says:

Actually… Saha ha ha is just being honest, he did not say anything wrong, thou that will never happen……

  24. king george the switzer says:

    I love Wayne Rooney.

  25. Saha ha ha says:

It wasn’t a dig at Rooney just a general dig at players wages. I love Rooney, I’m sure he loves the club, he shows that every week. I still think the statement stands.

There’s really no need for the personal remarks, “Wanker” ect. If you disagree fine but grow up a bit.

  26. KR says:

There is only 1 scouser in the world that i can tolerate – Wayne Rooney

This man is the soul of Manchester United

  27. pipmc05 says:

    legend . . . .
