    he is soo great other team members are starting to admit it…:D

  2. wayne says:

    the only way he’ll ever play with roony if he becomes a utd player

  3. arsene wenger says:

    lol what a headline, but how do you know his dream signing is wayne rooney and not iniesta or ronaldinho?

  4. Gooner says:

    Rooney is in fantastic form, he would fit straight into Arsenal just like Fabregas if he went to United. But we all know either of them wouldnt play for another English team.

  5. Gareth26 says:

    at least spell it right ROONEY. They will paly together at Barca

  6. tim says:

    As a Gooner who has open hatred of both United and Wayne Rooney, how could it be anyone else?

    Your Wayne has been virtually unplayable all season long and, for me, is the obvious choice for World Footballer of the year.

    As much as I can’t stand the bloke, would I love to see him leading the line for Arsenal? Of course I would…instead of just being a dirty bastard he’d be our dirty bastard… makes a big difference!

  7. wayne says:

    @tim i don’t get regardless of the team you support how you could hate wayne roony he’s a model professional never says anything bad against anyone{except his hatred for liverpool} and every players dream teammate.don’t get your comments at all being a hater for no reason is just being a fucking idiot

  8. arsene wenger says:

    wayne stop being so defensive, no one hates rooney on the streets, but a rival on the pitch, hatred is a mark of respect

  9. crikey says:

    Another Arsenal fan here…

    Rooney has been head and shoulders the best player in the league this year. No-one can touch him. An awesome talent, and fingers crossed he stays fit for the World Cup.

    I don’t think there’s a club on the planet that wouldn’t have him leading their forward line. Best forward I’ve seen grace the Premier League since Cantona, Henry and Bergkamp.

  10. wayne says:

    @arsene read the comment he has a open hatred for roony and carn’t stand the bloke that has nothing to do with respect thats being a hater for no reason,2 totally different things

  11. Mr Scooch says:

    @ Wayne,

    Surely someone who hates Rooney, but says what a good player he is means more than someone who has loved him forever?

    Don’t be so sensitive. I hate Ronaldo, but mainly because he was too fucking good when he played against us last year!

  12. wayne says:

    @ mr scooch i’m not sensitive normally when somebody says they carn’t stand a guy its personnel and have reasons for it ,thats different to hating a guy because he plays well against you. i think arsene wenger is a twat for coming out about teams trying to break your players legs.thats just a fucking stupid statement and gives me a reason not to like him,theres a difference for hating a guy out of respect and carn’t stand the guy for other reasons

  13. Wrighty7 says:

    @Wayne

    Wayne Rooney, a model professional?? I suppose banging Grannies is model behaviour where you are from is it?

    I always believed Rooney to be over-hyped due to the fact he is English but I have to admit that he has been top-class this season.

    Easily player of the year.

    However, I couldn’t see him getting into the likes of Spain or Brazil’s first teams.

    Put him into a technical league like Spain and he would struggle.

    The pace and thunder of the Premiership suits him down to the ground.

  14. JumpersForGoalPosts says:

    Hey Wazza wot about the push to Ashley Cole. Hardly a model professional. You’re lucky you’re English and we have indulged your bad behaviour.

  15. rooneyworldsbest says:

    Rooney has shown this season what a quality individual he really is, to say he wont be able to adapt to the football in other countries is absolute nonsense. You put someone like Wayne Rooney at the top of the Barca team instead of Zlatan then you will see what he is capable of.

  16. SimSima69 says:

    @Wrighty7
    so you’re saying if rooney was playing in spain or italy where he would have MORE time on the ball, he would do LESS damage??? What an idiot..if you can make it in the premiership you can make it anywhere..just look at ronaldo!

  17. Mr Scooch says:

    @ Wayne,

    Now it’s my turn to be sensitive. Do you honestly believe that Fergie wouldn’t say similar things to Arsene if your team had the unbelievable incidencies of horror tackles/ injuries we’ve had? Of course he would!

    I’ve debated this point too much today so I can’t really be bothered now.

  18. Matthew Wade says:

    Arse fan who lurks round here a fair bit. Rooney is currently the best striker in the world on current form, and would be top of my list too. Also the two of them together would be extraordinary! Sadly, unless they move abroad, its never going to happen.

    And Wayne, Wenger doesn’t hate rooney..he’s been singing his praises since he was 16. The only exception is when the scouse b’stard did his salmon dive to end our unbeaten run 5 yrs ago…..

    Nice to see the chavs doing their best to implode, letting the two best clubs in England fight them for the title. If its not us, I hope its you lot….

  19. Wrighty7 says:

    @SimSima69,

    That’s what I’m saying yes. IMO Rooney is not technically gifted enough.

    He is about power, the Premiership suits him to the ground. Just my opinion mate.

    Dont get the hump!

  20. five says:

    But Rooneys strong and has that intimidating aura about him. if someone like Kanoute can score goals for fun in La Liga Waynes going to rip it apart…the La Liga defenses are a joke if (god forbid) he plays for someone like Barca…iniesta and xavi slipping in through balls he could easily shrug off the defenders and score

    The arsenal fans that come on here seem a good bunch not like the classless bitters and scousers.

    But we all know Wayne is United for life

  21. Gooner77 says:

    Calm down ladies. Pretty generous compliment from one great player about another. Got no time for the clown Arsenal fan ‘who has an open hatred’ for United and Rooney – get a life you saddo you can support your own team passionately without resorting to hatred. Rooney is actually one of the only English players in the England side that I respect/like. I admit that I am swearing as loud as the next Gooner when he bangs them in against us but thats normal heat of the moment stuff for any fan. He is a model professional, and if you read Fergie’s interviews, is genuinely passionate about the game and fairly intelligent. Now compare that to Terry or Cashley. Rooney is a legend and you have to hand it to Fergie for bringing players through who are model professionals such as Scholes, Giggs, Beckham and so on.

  22. Fred says:

    Bet Morgan was shocked and appalled.

    “What? That overrated Man U player? Are you sure there’s no-one else? Please say someone else!”

  23. SimSima69 says:

    @ Wrighty7

    Rooney is by far Englands most technically gifted player..this opinion that hes all about power couldnt be further from the truth..Sure, his strength gives him an advantage but he is very, very clever and skillful. I think he could easily play in any league and be a success (provided he can settle in the area). Anyway, I hope I never get to prove you wrong! Should be a tight race for the title, Arsenal have so many easy games coming up they could go unbeaten for the rest of the season.

  24. tim says:

    To wayne and Gooner77.

    First of all, I couldn’t have been more complimentary in what I said about him.

    I said he is virtually unplayable and the best player in the world; what more could you possibly want from me?

    wayne, I’ll go ahead and assume you had nothing but love for Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira when they were Arsenal players as, after all, they were great teammates and two of the best players to ever grace the Prem.

    Second of all, don’t give me this model professional bollocks. His blatant dives in the match that ended our unbeaten run and in the match at Old Trafford this year aren’t exactly the actions of a “model professional.” Nor was his joke of a dive in the England match where he kicked the player and then shouted for a pen.

    Why, as an Arsenal supporter, would I respect a player who has twice cheated and cost us results?

    If he’s a model professional, he’s a model professional in the mold of Emmanuel Eboue and Steven Gerrard. He’s petulant, he dives, and he tries to kick people off the pitch when things aren’t going his way.

    But you wouldn’t call Eboue or Gerrard model professionals now would you?

    Call a spade a spade. Don’t let your player’s immense talent cloud your judgment of him. It should be easy for you to see why opposition supporters don’t like Rooney, but for some reason you can’t.

    Like I said, cracking, cracking player, but far from the saint you’re making him out to be.

  25. Fred says:

    Shouldn’t you Arsenal clowns be off making ‘get well soon’ cards for Aaron Ramsey?

    Or perhaps another one of these: http://i.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/00734/arsed_734143a.jpg

  26. Wrighty7 says:

    @SimSima69,

    I admit that Rooney has got ability, of course he has but I wouldn’t put him the top level of players like Ronaldo, Kaka, Messi etc.

    What I will say he is a great team-player, grafts hards, is strong and can finish (as he is proving). I think he makes up for his ‘lack of abililty’ by these attributes.

    Personally I think that the most technical player England have is Joe Cole OR Steve Gerrard, probably lean towards Cole.

  27. Wrighty7 says:

    Sarcasm Fred. Nice.

    Lets just hope nothing happens like that to a United player eh.

  28. bchilds says:

    Not surprising, Wayne is a top player and any team in world football would be mad not to want him in their team.

    Thankfully the only team he will be in is Manchester United!

  29. K-TR7 says:

    Wayne is not the most technically gifted,sometimes his close control is abysmal at the very least but i would put him in the ljunberg category.he is not flashy but he gets the job done,scoring 28 goals at this stage of the season is no mean feat.people tend to overlook his best traits which are intelligence and movement.strength alone doesn’t make wayne a great player,he scores headers,works hard and has a cool temperament nowadays.i’m an arsenal fan by the way.

  30. King Eric says:

    Fred – Ha, that banner is priceless. I wonder if the lads with it left the Emirates with an hour to go last April?

  31. King Eric says:

    K-TR7 – You would put him in the “llungberg category”. Ha ha. Are you actually serious pal?

    Rooney is in a category of his own son, nobody can touch him.

    Matthew – Yeah I have to agree would rather you do it than the Chav’s but it won’t come to that, United will get number 19 in May. However you will be second infront of the Rentboys.

  32. King Eric says:

    Wrighty7 – Any credibility you did have has just gone with your statement that the thug Stevie Me is more technically gifted than Wayne. Laughable mate.

  33. rooney the new king says:

    Gareth26 – yea like rooney will be leaving united why would he want 2 leave

  34. Red Jez says:

    fuckin gooners
    i hate em

    always moanin about dirty teams but they have been the dirtiest cunts since the PL started.
    they have more bookings & sending offs than any other team
    as the FSW would say……. itsth a fact!

  35. K-TR7 says:

    King eric-i meant he like ljunberg is not flashy by performing stepovers and roulettes,but they both deliver when it matters-scoring and assisting.at united,berbatov is the most technically gifted player which is a fact.

  36. emporerm says:

    I am sorry but how can people call Rooney’s technical ability into question. Time after time you see him bring the ball down beautifully at his tank like full speed. Arsenal fans should know this. Afterall the first goal he ever scored in the prem was set up by a fantastic take down. Against Arsenal. Beautiful volleys and lobs against the likes of Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth. And dont even get me started on the pinpoint pass he played to Giggs to set up Scholes’ goal in the second leg of the Carling Cup semi final against city….. Ooh and then there’s his heading which is really coming along!

  37. Gooner77 says:

    @Tim

    Fairplay mate, my comment was a bit strong, but I would still call him a great professional. Every forward player dives or works the ref to some degree, every player works the ref it’s part of the game.

    @Redjez
    Thanks for your insight

  38. Wrighty7 says:

    @King Eric,

    I threw Steve Gerrard in there because I knew you guys wouldn’t like it! ;)

    I mean it about Joe Cole though.

  39. King Eric says:

    Wrighty7 – I was gonna bloody say! I nearly put my foot through the screen when I saw that pal.

    KTR-7 – Fair enough mate.

  40. Green Red says:

    “letting the two best clubs in England fight them for the title. If its not us, I hope its you lot….”
    As a lifelong FOOTBALL supporter I would deffo have to agree with you, if United dont win the league, I would begrudgingly have to say that I would want the auld gooners to win it, even though your all football brain and no balls.
    But lets face it, it is better than the dirt winning it eh

  41. McQueen says:

    Fuck me, invasion of the Gooners!

    Arsenal are traditionally a pretty dirty, tough tackling team. It seems your memories fade quickly, just because you now have a bunch of little girls as your team you think you can all get on your high horse. I bet you lot were fucking loving it when that ape Keown was bum rushing Ruud Van Nistelrooy not so long ago, and then there’s Viera.

  42. Gooner77 says:

    @McQueen

    Who’s getting on their high horse? We loved it when the Man With The Monkey On His Head played for us and loved Viera’s aggression. I don’t remember either of those players ever snapping anyone’s legs in half though.
    I don’t remember any Manchester United snapping any of our players legs in half either. Being aggressive and physical in a match does not mean flying like a loon into another player. We’ve had players on our side commit dreadful tackles (including on Nani at your place a couple of years ago and Gallas on a Bolton player this year), I would be gutted to see one of our players injure someone like that and remember hating Ian Wright when he tried to snap Schmeichals leg all those years ago. The point is, we’re gutted to see one of our exciting attacking players get his leg snapped AGAIN, 3 in the space of 4 years is very bad luck.

  43. arsene wenger says:

    anyone who thinks rooney couldnt play in spain is a jerk. just look at sammy eto, that guy swings like a wildman and still managed to score 30+ a season, and freddie kanoute, and the other guy who played for man united i cant remember his name the blondie,seriously i think the biggest struggle would be the language barrier and keeping his cool if he was kicked (and beckham was targeted bigtime), i dont think rooney could weaken any team on earth

  44. huzi says:

    gooner77
    “flying like a l0on”? whch game wer u watching m8? it was a 50-50 n it was all down 2 ramsey being unluky. n arsen wanker (d real 1) is real daft 2 sugest hs syd is bein targetd. datz da lge nw. awl doz botom sidez play lyk dat against every team. hes got a bunch of crybabies. . . then tough luk hes gota deal with it. . .btw hope ramsey gets wel soon

  45. Gooner77 says:

    @Huzi

    I think I have deciphered your message. Wenger has not claimed Arsenal players are targetted more than others, that’s a media spin. What he said was that it was unacceptable that a 3rd Arsenal player in 4 years has had their leg broken. I don’t anyone thinks that Shawcross did it intentionally but given that he has now broken 2 players legs at the age of 22, it is either terrible bad luck or reckless play.
