After reports linking us to Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery, Wayne Rooney was asked of his opinion on the current best player in Germany.
“He is a great player and we like to bring top class players to the club,” said Rooney. “I’m sure if the manager and everyone else is interested in him and he can come here then he will be a good addition for us. I think he is a great player. I haven’t heard anything about it but I think he is a great player.”

Ribery would be a great signing for UTD but not at that price and defo not in place of Ron. He couldn’t lace Ronaldo’s boots
I have two reasons why Ribery should be at OT next season:
1) The obvious, Ribery and Ronaldo on either wing give me wet dreams.
2) Eto’o, Henry, Messi and Ribery in Barcelona give me Dyssentry.

Remember this: Last year UTD gained almost ONE HUNDRED MILLION quid in prize money for winning the EPL/CL double; this year the prize money will be more because the pound has fallen by something like thirty per cent against the Euro. So, adding Ribery while keeping Ronaldo isn’t so farfetched, assuming that the quoted figure of 63 million is for both his salary and the transfer fee to be paid to Bayern Munich. However, I would imagine that the purchase of Ribery would be the end-of-the-line for Carlitos.
