Don't think I'd be too quick to dismiss Russia as being poor being that Hiddink has done well in getting that side to play some more flowing football. The Russians out played England after the equaliser went in and kept pounding the pressure on. The English media and the boo boys are just always over the top, they just build people up to tear them down.

I thought England were supposed to have 11 players.. but Waz seemed to have adopted the 'do it all' job of scoring..and shooting, taking throw-ins and defending! He was trying to be a hero.. and if it had not been for a dozy midfield and the inability of most of the England to actually do much, then he may well have been. Looking positive.. Rooney had the appetite... long may it last!

Grr. Annoying isn't it.

I only mentioned to my Dad on Saturday against Estonia that Rooney tracked back after making a mistake and got the ball back.

He shouldn't have been back on the edge of the penalty area and that is not his fault, the manager and the midfield and the joke that was Lescott playing at left back.

If Gerrard "the Saint" had scored to make it 2-0 then this wouldn't have happened.

If England hadn't thrown long ball after long ball for Owen and Rooney, we wouldn't have lost. Can you imagine Fergie telling United to throw long balls up to Rooney and Tevez?

Rooney, Rooney, Rooney!
