Ryan On “Giggsy 12 Gerrard 0″ Chant

Like everyone else at the club, Ryan Giggs is eager for us to move on from the fuss Liverpool has created following Luis Suarez’s racial abuse of Patrice Evra.

Giggs has no problem with friendly banter and cited the chant our fans were singing during Saturday’s victory over Liverpool.

“The rivalry will always be there, but let’s have it as healthy rivalry and nothing else,” Giggs told The Telegraph. “The fans were chanting about me winning more titles than Steven Gerrard on Saturday, but that’s what you get between fans and it’s what you want – you want good, healthy banter between fans.”

  15. expertanswers says:

    Sean says:

LFC 5 MUFC 3….Its amazing how LFC suppporter is gloating about other teams beating their only claim to fame left before MUFC…than the fact his shit team are slowly sinking into mediocrity….if that was me i would be more concerned about the state of my team than what other teams are doing before United…sad liverfool…

  16. Sean says:

Healthy banter? With the hillsborough chants? Do you actually go the game?

  17. CedarsDevil says:

    Sean

For a scouser you have amazing mathematical skills, you can actually type numbers. Very impressive

  18. MG says:

I bet sean the mathematical genius can’t count 19 titles on one hand?

Fuck off and back to your racist piece of a shit club

    lfc = Apartheid

    19

  19. FletchTHEMAN says:

United 19, more than half in the prem era.
    Giggs on 12 of those.

Giggs also has 2 CL trophies.

    Giggs > entire prem

Sean? What up mate. Into the drink already? Daft much….. cittttay ….

  20. Sean says:

Hilarious….. They battered you at OT and battered you with 10 men. They will only get better whether you like it or not.

  21. CedarsDevil says:

    MG

That was kind of spooky pal! Similar things mentioned at exactly the same time!

  22. MG says:

Anyone that condems Hillsborough is a bastard no matter what colour shirt he wears

Especially if he wears a United shirt

Anyone that condems Munich is a bastard

Anyone that closes his eyes and ears and shuts his mouth about racism just to tow the club line is a bastard too

    Go figure

  23. WillieRedNut says:

A Liverpool fan hoping like a desperate sad cunt that another team stops United. I suppose the dippers can’t do it. Says alot about where Liverpool are as a club. 19

  24. Sean says:

Not gloating just stating facts that you no doubt will be aware of. And as for obsessing about other teams all you do is sing about Liverpool every game. You would know that if you actully went….

  25. MG says:

    Cedars

    I’ve come back home Cedars

    ;)

Enjoy Wembley sean how long has it been?

  26. Sean says:

MG thoughts on the schmeichel Ian wright racist incident?

  27. Sean says:

18 Plus 5 is more impressive to be fair

  28. MG says:

    Heres a fact

    Not gloating

    19

Let city get to 6 CL

Then poor liverpool who will probably be never involved in a European competition for the forseeable future will just shit themselves – let city get there

  29. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Sean

Healthy banter singing about titles won is banter mate, chants about Munich and Hillsborough are another. Shame nob heads from both clubs dont realise that.

I go all the game sunshine and let me tell you something City currently on one title will win 19 before you do….that is a fact pal, liverpool have become so poor its untrue. Another two decades of nothing.

    19 Believe

  30. Sean says:

City will get there no doubt MG….

  31. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Sean

One knighthood is better than Shankly and Paisleys Zero………

  32. MG says:

Hang on to your straws sunshine

What are you comments regarding Heysel?

  33. Sean says:

Giggs I agree re the chants. Disgusting by both sets of fans. If city get to 19 so be it…. As for becoming poor… Look at your own team reliant on giggs scholes etc. Knocked out by Basel….. Enjoy while you can as city will be unbeatable with these Arabs. 400m sponsorship will see to that

  34. MG says:

And sean then you can go fuck off and moan at bluemoon how United trumped you in the league and city in the CL

    Fuck off troll

  35. CedarsDevil says:

    MG

    Who you gonna call?

  36. Sean says:

MG Heysel was a disgrace to my team and city. Interesting response to the schmeichel question that you have failed to answer

  37. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Sean

The funniest part of that chant on Saturday is that I started singing and it cottoned onL

    Bellion 1 Gerrard O

Thats how piss poor Liverpool have become.

  38. Sean says:

Not been abusive in any way but yet Heysel
And my current employment status amongst other things been brought up……

    Interesting eh?

  39. Just_A_Loyal_ManUtd_Fan says:

    A miracle called Ryan Giggs.

As ManUtd played chelsea at the bridge a few days ago and Ryan Giggs provided the assist for the little pea’s fine equalizer, I cast my mind back to another piece of Giggs’s magic from a while back. In fact this moment of magic from Giggs has stayed with me ever since that day.

Flashback to the 1999 FA Cup semi-final replay against arsenal. April 14 is the date. Its extra time, Patrick Vieira gives the ball away. Giggs takes over, gallops in from the half-way line, dances past Tony Adams, Lee Dixon and Martin Keown before launching his left-footed guided missile just under David Seaman’s bar and beyond his reach. The world just froze for me. In fact I may have forgotten to breathe for a minute or two – I dont remember anything. The next thing I DO remember is that Giggs famously whipped off his shirt as he ran to celebrate with his teammates. I really felt this goal was just for me, my present as April 14 is my birthday.

This is the stuff that dreams are made of and is just one moment from the countless that Ryan Giggs has provided us ManUtd fans with during his glittering career here at the Theatre of Dreams. Truly we have been privileged to see him play for ManUtd.

Giggs turned professional on 29 November 1990 – his 17th birthday – and from then till now to be a top notch professional football player consistently plying his trade year after year season after season is just plain unbelievable. Now he is on the verge of 900 caps. Pheewwwww…..

That is why I say that he is “A miracle called Ryan Giggs.”

  40. MG says:

    sean your a city fan

Fucking hell why ally to the scousers if you give a shit about them – if they beat us to anything then they will beat you too – and that means you’ll be fuck all to both of us

    Have I missed something here?

  41. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Sean

Reliant on Scholes on Giggs???? We are reliant on a squad pal we are current champions and only two points behind the league if we won every game till the end of the season we would be champions….You could win every game and not even be guaranteed 5th thats a fact.

  42. Sean says:

Troll eh? Answer the question on schmeichel. Or yet another hypocrite?

If you think this is trolling then I should be questioning your employment status and intelligence

  43. WillieRedNut says:

Any dipper with self respect wouldn’t talk up another club. Liverpool and their fans continue to sink….

    19

  44. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Sean

It would be good for Ctiy to win the league the premiership is more predictable than Scotland at least they have two teams that win it each year all we have is United.

Piss poor pool cant even make the prem more competitive than fucking Scotland.

  45. MG says:

sean big Pete and Wrighty had history

No one proved it that big Pete was racist

The match after at Highbury Wrighty went in 2 footed if I remember correctly and no sending off

Some years ago both of them were on football focus and laughed it off

    So what do you think?

Hmm well unlike a recent situation where a player was done for racism still has not apologised – not in comparison is it?

Yes you are so beautifully mannered no one can be up to your standards

    still fuck off troll

  46. Felderkirk says:

MG: I’d say you’ve missed a few things in your time mate.

  47. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

    MG
Repled on the earlier thread or Fred

  48. Alastair says:

I’ll deal with Sean’s valid point. Schmeichel may or may not have racially abused Ian Wright, it was never proved. Personally I suspect he did, given what Danish Reds have told me about him, and would condemn it without reservation. That was nearly 20 years ago and a different era we’ve moved on but Liverpool’s handling of the Suarez/Evra affair has been a unmitigated disaster for LFC, the repercussions of which we can only guess at.

Congratulations on your 5 but tragic that you seem to celebrate City holding us back rather than hoping that you can organise yourself to put a decent fight in any of the important competitions.

  49. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Sean

True scouser mate first of all your best dig is to talk up City which is weird as you hate Mancs but clearly like Stockport. Secondly your article was saying faces racist charges, no charge was ever brought an FA cleared Schmeichal of any wrong doing.

Luis Suarez was charged by the FA for being racist, were not hypocrites just waiting on an apology that would be a start. Shankly would be turning in his grave at the way your great club (Rivalty apart it is a great football club) has handled this. It is very small time and will not surprise me when Kenny leaves again.

  50. MG says:

I’ve missed many things in life

But I made it to a lot more

    mah na mah na

    19

  51. Felderkirk says:

Liverpool fan here lads. I have to say, United have had their fair share of embarrassing knobends down through the years but Ryan Giggs has been a good bloke, generally.

Can’t argue with the man’s record either – he’s been unique. He’s dead right here too. The sooner the two clubs can get back to purely football rivalry, the better. Sadly though, I think it’s in part a media-fuelled social problem. So I can’t see it dying down any time soon.

All the best to you for the rest of the campaign though. It hasn’t been vintage United but the spirit and drive of the club remains very impressive. Good luck.

  52. CedarsDevil says:

    I like it

  53. MG says:

    mah na mah na Cedars.

  55. WillieRedNut says:

    20 on the horizon.

  56. MG says:

    Felderkirk

    Good luck to you too!

  57. samuel - united WE stand says:

“a lot of alan hansen videos” I meant.. typo!

  58. Felderkirk says:

    Ha!

  59. MG says:

    20 sounds delicious

How could I forget – Ole Gunnar Solskjaers number!

  60. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

Are you winding me up? Good Luck? Its like we dont know you anymore :-)

  61. MG says:

    Mah na mah na 19

  62. WillieRedNut says:

Hasn’t been vintage for Liverpool since 1990. King rubber gob will gone in the summer. Always bring wafa back?

  63. MG says:

One must offer light where there is darkness

  66. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

Wafa should do the business, its a fact

  67. Felderkirk says:

Yeah. Vintage United. Champions League competing United.
Jesus. Being knocked out of every competition bar the league by January shows how far your standards have dropped.
    Delusions…

  68. MG says:

    It’s Valentines day

Thats why sean is over here

    Oh be nice everyone

  69. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Flederkirk

Our standards have not dropped though mate be rest assured as we chase our 20th title. I would love to see Liverpool come fourth just to watch how you celebrate coming 4th, how your standars have dropped….

    Delusions

  70. CedarsDevil says:

Delusions? Supporting Liverpool for the last 22 years springs to mind

  71. MG says:

    Felderkirk

    That’s what you don’t understand

Naturally due to unforseen circumstances and sometimes just changing the team again you are allowed these years

That’s what Liverpool have never got

Standards can drop – they should drop – as long as everything comes together again

What we will not take is a lecture from you where you have no standards at all

We’ll be just fine – when we are not and if the time comes we’ll deal with it

Shouldn’t you deal with what you have?

If we are deluded we are not bitter well those that know anyway.

You deluded bitter and sad isn’t the Kop open for confession? You won’t get nothing here if you want it that way

  72. WillieRedNut says:

Fact 1? Scholes has owned Gerrard twice since his return

Fact 2? Liverpool are now 19 points behind United

Fact 3? Liverpool defend racists, United defending champions

Fact 4? United are the current champions(19)

Fact 5? United 2 always the victims 1

  73. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

Fact: Liverpool are closer to relegation than they are to United

  74. samuel - united WE stand says:

Why are you spending your precious night on The blog of a team you hate?. What is this? draw your enemies closer?.

I think if anyone would be accused of delusions, then it’s the liverpool fans clearly. I bet you’re still holding out for 35million andy carroll aka the hairy biker to develop into world class?.

  75. MG says:

What you don’t understand lfc fans is that you need time to breathe

To let it go sometimes because you need that time to get back where you want to get to

It’s going to happen to a team better than us – Barca this year – and they won’t panic – they won’t shit themselves I bet they will just go again

That’s the lesson we learned long time ago – that’s a lesson in 22 years you haven’t even got yet

    19

  76. CedarsDevil says:

    Fact, KKK is just pathetic

  77. Sir Bob says:

  78. MG says:

    And you know…

    You never lose the light

And even when the flame flickers out there will always be someone to flick everything back on again

That’s what United is and will always be

You carry on walking wherever you want to walk

We never lose we just run out of time

Two different worlds apart lfc – we are fine where we are

I would never ever change it for the world not even the extra european cups – this is how it is and is the ride that no one can get us off from

    19

Schmeichel racism remark => whatever was considered “normal” in the past we are all the better for it being considered unnaceptable in our own time; F.A. has redrawn the limits of what is acceptable and not acceptable and I for one think they have got the balance right; what happened to Suarez will do him and LFC a lot of good in the long run if both learn lessons from it; purpose of sanctions is not to punish but to rehabilitate; all boats float higher on a rising sea!

I for one appreciate scousers coming on here and starting rows; gives me a chance to retort!

Chris Wheeler has a report on why team order was switched at OT for the handshakes. Dowd wanted to keep Suarez moving and had a perfect view of everything.

Phil Dowd did a rather brilliant job to be fair. He seemed to have a response for everything. Could have had a powderkeg of recriminations if anything had really kicked off. Even said he handled Evra and the tunnel so nothing can come of that.

@MG Cheers mate. Unbelievable to come on here and espouse the hope that a team as completely devoid of earned respect as Citay will get to 5 CL wins before any one else. Unbelievable if it happens and credit to anyone who does it I suppose.
But the complete abandonment of ambition in that statement is beyond belief and says it all really. Can’t they hope to get to 6 in the next 10 years? A hopeless bunch to concede defeat that far out. Completely lost the plot and beyond embarrassing.

  114. MG says:

    Fletch

To see them come to that level is not only eye opening but compliments there stupidity

Liverpool fc fans wanting city to overtake us?

You couldn’t make it up – how the great – the once mighty have fallen

And then they start with there stupid numbers

    An update on Nani:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2101201/Nani-flies-treatment-ankle-injury-hopes-ready-Uniteds-trip-Ajax.html?

So if he’s not ready for Thursday, he’ll definitely be ready for the 2nd leg.

And of course to no one’s surprise, Nani had to go to Portugal to get treatment. That’s why we have the best medical team in the sport. 8)

  117. ricky says:

why did the scouse cross the road?

  121. rednburied says:

hard to take????? Im MUFC all the way, just pointing out that joke telling is not for you.

  122. rednburied says:

Costas what the hell is ‘mom’??? try again.

  123. Costas says:

Oh bore off already you troll.

  124. WillieRedNut says:

    Bingo!

  125. rednburied says:

Costas the illiterate fool. No troll here sunshine, 100% red just looking for clued up people who know what they are talking about when it comes to the red devils. Not some shit joke teller or a person that can’t string a sentence together. Keep Americanisms where they belong.

  126. Costas says:

Not an American you moron. But judging by your racist tone there, it’s easy to spot which team you really support. Still stinging from last Saturday hey?

And if you are looking for “clued up people” regarding whether “Giggs has fucked his mum” or not, I suggest you pay a visit to the Sun. Oh, sorry. You are boycotting that one for telling the truth. The Daily Star will do in your case.

  127. rednburied says:

stupidity follows you again. Did I accuse you of being American? No. Americanisms means the bastardising of the English language. I am not Scouse or anything other than MUFC. I don’t expect a mong like you to grasp a simple fact like that.

  128. rednburied says:

Anyway Costas, what part of Manchester were you born in? Im from Withenshaw. You> just another glory boy…. ie…wanker. Fuck off and follow your home town team.

  129. rednburied says:

So, dear chap, “bore off” and grow some brain cells.

  131. WillieRedNut says:

I’m a Belfast Red? What does being from Manchester got to do with loving United? We’re a global icon. With that comes a world wide fan base.

  132. Costas says:

    @willie

This is just a jackass that has come to this blog once or twice in the past and taken shots at United supporters not living in Manchester. He’s either a sad scouser that only knows one outdated form of banter, or a United fan that also happens to be a racist bigot. Either way he’s scum.

  133. MG says:

    Hey buried

What planet did you come from – cuckoo land?

Fuck off – being from Manchester debate is an old one – every one who wears the shirt proudly no matter where they are is United

The fucking manager is Scottish so go fuck yourself idiot

You are no more United than the next fella on the other side of the world fucking prick

  134. MG says:

I am a Manchester United fan

It bothers me not where my history begins

All I know is the rest of my family were and still are Liverpool fans and I was blessed by whatever Mighty force one believes in that my path crossed with the team that I love beyond doubt

Fuck any motherfucker who questions that loyalty and that blessing

    19

  135. Costas says:

    @MG

What are you doing pal? Are you from Manchester? Other wise you are not allowed to comment in a Man United blog.

Dear Lord, being lonely on Valentine’s day brings out the troll in some people.

  136. King Eric says:

Ha. Yes of course you are a United fan redandburied you offensive cunt. Do one. Costas has forgotten more about United than you will ever learn. Mug.

  137. Costas says:

MG covered the Manchester issue perfectly. I’ll just add one thing. Yes, United fans living outside Manchester (or England for that matter) very rarely go to games at OT. But it’s also a fanbase that’s proved to be a great source of revenue for the club in the last 15-20 years. Particulary the Asian portion.

  138. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Alex Ferguson is a scotsman…you learn something new everyday, I was guessing that was an ancient Manc accent passed down generations but if you say he’s Scottish Im happy with that…..as long as none of former managers played for Liverpool, Im fine? I hope we have no scousers in our team too, its has to be 100% Manc just like our “fans”.

  139. col says:

    Aye, fuck off.

    ……and it’s Wythenshawe, you nonce

    19

  140. MG says:

    Costas

    What am I doing?

I’m doing what I do best – (read it like Marlon Brando)

    I’m protecting my family…

  141. MG says:

When in doubt quote The Godfather

  142. MG says:

    And Costas

How many dream to come to OT?

Many – so many that sometimes it’s a heartbreak listening to them

That’s what the club does and some people disrespect that?

Small minded fuckers who haven’t got a clue what it means to breathe Manchester United

    19

  143. Costas says:

Good thing that guy who will complete 900 appearance for the club this week is from Manchester. Or that other guy that’s scored more goals than anyone else for Alex Ferguson in the last 25 years (Rooney).

    @KIng Eric

Hi mate. I think I’ll have to copyright that line. :) Only kidding. Hope you are well.

    @MG

I take it the wife never asks you about your business then. :)

  144. WillieRedNut says:

    He’s from Redraw! :0

  145. MG says:

    Costas

The doors are closed to the wife when business goes down

    Goodnight Costas

Goodnight United wherever you may be each and every one you…

    19

  146. Costas says:

    @MG

It is what it is. The club is rumored to have 300-330 million fans worldwide? Maybe as many as half of them have never been to OT. And like you said, it was the club that’s opened its arms to a fanbase that spread all around the globe.

  147. Costas says:

Oh and goodnight MG. Glad to have you back regulary. :)

  148. King Eric says:

Col. Nice one pal. And he has the audacity to label people thick. The fucking thick cunt can’t even spell his home town correctly. Been found out son. I remember you from a year or two back that had an agenda with Costas.

  149. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Oh Shit, Wayne boy is the SAF’s top scorer, if it wasn’t for his ambition everybody will have agreed he’s worthy of that title and also of highest United scorer if he is to match Bobby.

I wonder ….Sigh*, How iconic would Wayne be if it wasn’t for “ambition”?

We regarded him as United to the core. A decent lad that loves football + United, a guy that would play the game for free and would put in the same effort. A guy so committed we expected him to our captain almost 5-6 years ago, a fella we thought who would lead England and United to multiple trophies.

Not a fairy tale so far, mostly his fault, but to me it feels he lost a lot of his legacy when he made 1 mistake which will always be remembered by many. We are still insecure about Rooney, his commitment and wages issues. If all is how United reported, by the end of Wazza’s career many will remember him as a great goalscorer with great big ? over his name.

It would odd if Wazza was actually seeking assurances.
-Who wouldn’t want to know the future after SAF?
-Who wouldn’t want to be part of a consultation about the direction of the club?
-Who wouldn’t want to secure his best contract to his most comfortable job & ensure job security?

Most of what if Wazza was being self-less & it was all percieved as contract negotiating and he was representing some squad members.

 sounds to complex to be true….most likely Wazza wanted more wages in recognition for his importance to the “new United Project” which he is the talisman like Eric Cantona was.

ok, im going to hit sack poppets…merry valentines x.

  153. Sandeep1878 says:

    Good morning ROM,

    Hello MG,

    how are you buddy?

as for you asking the stat, here you go,

this is for the players who are currently playing the league

    #####

    Sir Ryan Giggsy – 12

    ##

    DIPPERS

Liverpool – only player in its squad to have won an EPL is Glen Johnson – that too with Chelsea in
    04-05 :) .

    thats what me thinks..

and i also believe that no other player who played for Liverpool went on to win EPL with other clubs except for our very own MICHAEL OWEN :P .

    SCORE 1 :

    Ryan Giggsy 12 – 2 LFC.

( Joe Cole has been left out of this because he is not playing in the league, for the record he has won 3 leagues with chelsea)

    ###

    BITTERS

    as for Man Shitty players,

Their current squad players all together have won 8 leagues and 3 of them from UNITED players – Tevez 2 and Hargreaves 1 :)

the other 2 being one each from Kolo Druggist toure and Gael money Clichy.

    3 for Vieira.

    SCORE 2 :

Ryan Giggsy 12 – 8 MCFC. (You can reduce the 5 to 2 because 3 of them are with UNITED :) ).

    ###

    RENT BOYS

their current squad put together has 22 league titles by 11 different individuals.

Lampard, Cunt, Drogba, cech Cashley hole, – 3 leagues each.

    Essien – 2

    Sturridge, Ivanovic, Kalou,Mikel,Malouda – 1 league each.

    SCORE 3:

    RYAN GIGGS 12 22 CFC.

    #############################

    My theory..

    SCORE 1 + SCORE + SCORE 3

    SIR RYAN GIGGSY 36 – 32 CUNTS :P (YOU CAN TERM THEM 3 CUNTS :P )

    hmmm…..

Let me take it a bit further..let us consider Joe Cole who is on loan at Lille from LFC..

    still the score will be,

Sir Ryan Giggs 36 35 CUNTS

    there you go,

    ###

    Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs,
    Running down the wing,
    Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs,
    Running down the wing.
    Feared by the Blues,
    Loved by the Reds,
Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs.

Ryan Giggs – Tearing You Apart Since 1991

  154. Sandeep1878 says:

and sorry for the marathon post guys,

hope i dont irritate anybody :)

    Good day reds

  155. Sandeep1878 says:

and i think no leeds scum in the current squad has even touched the replica of EPL trophy :)

  156. Noodle says:

rednburied… It is spelt Wythenshawe not ‘Withenshaw’ so your description of being “clued up” rings particularly hollow…. I doubt you’ve ever really set foot in this fair city…

  157. Stevie says:

Will become “Giggs 13 Gerrard 0″ in May….

  158. champ19n says:

Ryan Giggs you beauty. 899 not out, champion. Steven Gerrard is a top player too, one club man. Will be remembered in Merseyside long after he is gone.

  159. champ19n says:

It is only a matter of time before we overhaul that FIVE fingered salute. Sir Alex is right on with his ‘ we are not far away from Barcelona’ comment. He is instilling belief, recreating that mentality in our youth that nothing is impossible. We have some ridiculously talented players coming through and I for one am looking forward to the next 2-3 years. Great time to be a United fan.
The same cannot be said about Liverpool though. Their squad needs serious work and King Kenny is being found out, looks as if he is still in the 90s. Can’t imagine how it feels to have a gaffer who does not instill confidence, that’s how good we have had it for the past two decades.

  160. Jeet says:

If I want to handcuff Giggsy to a bed and lather his chest hair, am I still straight?

  161. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Jeet, Oh, thank God, I thought I was the only one.

Dave, How you doing man? I have my suspicions that you are a South Indian. Anyways, waiting for the medications I had been taking to wear off, then have another trip to the doc scheduled at the end of the month. That will confirm the diagnosis but it looks like no surgery is required which is good news.

  162. Take me to Old-Trafford says:

smh for rfdandburied. Which team do you support you mug?
You taking a dig at fans out of Manchester? It shows how classless and clueless you are.
But, why are we having so many trolls on here? They must be fed up of their club.
    Giggs : Legend.
Good morning to all Reds around the globe.

  163. Sandeep1878 says:

    Jeet,

    you fucking homophobic jackass :P

you will still not be straight :)

    Afternoon buddy, good day :)

  164. Jeet says:

@Balaji: LAY OFF!!! He’s all mine!!

@Sandeep: Good day!! They used to say of Madonna, “She can make a straight woman go gay, and a gay man straight”. Somewhat like Giggsy in reverse, I guess!

  165. Costas says:

Morning all. Just a hunch, but I believe that rednburied(his head up his ass) mispelled Wythenshawe on purpose. Just to check out if I would correct him. If I didn’t, it woulod confirm his suspicions that I am a disgraceful Man United fan that doesn’t hail from Manchester. If that wasn’t his intention, he’s just a blithering idiot.

    @samuel

Hi mate. Cheers. It wasn’t anything personal. He came here looking for a fight and I just wouldn’t let his comment about Giggs go unanswered. King Eric mentioned it, but I don’t remember having any history with this guy. Last time he was here he attacked Balaji and told him he hated him. Why? Because he had never been to OT and yet called himself a Man United fan…

  166. YorYor says:

For many of the Asian United supporters, making a trip to OT is like a pilgrimage that many dream of but find it hard to achieve, because it’s hard to justify the financial outlay when it’s not tied to religion.
I was lucky enough to have been given a half chance, and I grabbed it and stayed in Chorlton-cum-Hardy for 2 years. I plan to go again some day – the 76000 atmosphere now would be hugely different compared to what it was back in 2000/01.
I miss kebabs and the fish n chips with salt n vinegar. I miss the pub crawls with my flatmates. I miss the 20 minute walks to OT in the cold, or returning from OT with hundreds of other United-scarf-donning fellas after an afternoon match or a late evening European tie.

  167. CedarsDevil says:

    Brigadier19

Hi, just replying to you from the other thread regarding Alan Smith. Of course we got Cantona and Rio from them but both were hardly fans nor were they brought through the Leeds system. Smith grow up supporting Leeds and hence the difference. Oh, and whats with that ‘my son’ business? Should I call you dad from now on? hahaha

    Costas

Seems I missed out on the troll bashing last night, ah well my bad luck I suppose. Like King Eric mentioned I also remember this idiot being on here before and having digs at you. What a moron

  168. CedarsDevil says:

    YorYor

Very nicely put my friend…. You lived in Chorlton? I lived there for many years whilst going to school in Manchester during the 70′s and 80′s. Another poster ‘It’s in my blood’ also lived there during my time. Funny thing is, we later moved to Clarendon Rd and so did he! Small world eh?

  169. Sandeep1878 says:

    Balaji,

    Thats good news..godspeed pal.

    Cedars,

    Hello Lebanese King..what up?

    YorYor,

Thats a lovely experience my friend..

I m determined i would visit the promise land at least once before i m done with the earth :)

    I will wait for it!!

    Costas,

    Hello buddy, how are you?

I think you would shed some light on my Giggsy title analysis because i may be wrong in the numbers :)

  170. T. says:

@Sean. Yes it is bad to sing about the dead. But it was your fellow comrades that invented it remember? So if u get it back some 20-30 years later, don´t come on here whining about it u sry prick. And we are not scared of City, They got one FA-cup for some 30 years. And now with Tevez back on the bench another internal war is about to happen. So fuck off back to whatever blog u represent, Liverpool or Shitty.

Fact: 19 is the only thing that counts!

  171. All of your mums says:

Yes… Good old Ryan Giggs. Man Utd legend. It takes a special kind of arsehole to be able fuck his own brothers wife over a period of 5 years.

  172. Costas says:

Haha, I called this one about a month back!

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2101396/Paul-Scholes-set-new-Manchester-United-deal.html?

Hope that doesn’t mean we won’t buy a midfielder next summer.

    @Cedars

Hi pal. I was thinking about you. We were having a party and you were asleep. Never mind. He’ll be back again in 4 months bitching and moaning about United fans that don’t live in Manchester..

    @Sandeep

Hi. I am fine, thanks. How are you? I didn’t find any mistakes in your analysis. Very good job. Especially on the Chelsea part. :P

  173. kanchelskis says:

    @Costas

I don’t see why Scholesy staying out would rule us out from buying another MF, especially given his and Giggs’s age, and the Fletcher situation. Daily Mail linking us with Khedira this morning. Could be tasty.

  174. CedarsDevil says:

Sandeep – I am very well thanks my friend.

Costas – You may have spoken too soon!

  175. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Sandeep, Thanks my friend, much appreciated. Will keep ROM updated as the checkups get over. :)

YorYor, Yup, that is the perfect explanation of what United fans overseas feel. A long time ago I remember Mike telling me that he would rather have supporters like Costas, Willie, Cedars, myself, and other Asian fans at OT rather than the noiseless bunch that make up OT these days. That perfectly explains why away matches produce more noise than home matches. Probably because the home crowd is made up of, to a small percentage, dicks like rednburied.

Costas & kanchelskis, Perhaps a new deal for Scholsey is to provide time for Pogba, Cleverley, Tunni, and, MAYBE, Anderson to bed in. I know, I know. It already should’ve happened but with the injury to Clevs, that hasn’t been possible. However, I am sort of against any new player who is going to curb the development of the aforementioned. We’ll have to see how it pans out, but if anyone is to come in, I would like it to be an experienced head who is going to aid in the development of the youngsters rather than another fresh blood. I expect the boss to take the correct decision in that regard since he already thinks highly of Clevs.

  176. CedarsDevil says:

    Balaji

Great to hear you are on the mend my friend and no surgery required. Excellent news

Oh and enough with all this man crush thingy, seems Jeet has joined the likes of King Eric, Costas and yourself on that front.

Personally, my admiration for RVP is purely from an err footballing point of view! hahaha

  177. Shebangsthedrums says:

Cedars – It really is a small world, I lived on Clarendon rd, chorlton, about 10 years ago now. Loved my time there, suppose it’s because it was before the kids came along. Happy memories!

  178. Costas says:

    @kanchelskis, Balaji

If last summer was a sign of things to come, I have a feeling that Fergie will gamble on his midfield options again. Especially if Scholes stays. Fergie might figure that with Paul, Giggs, Pogba, Anderson, Cleverley, Fletcher and Carrick he’s covered in that area. Personally, don’t know if I can see it that way. Too many question marks. Scholes and Giggs’ age, Pogba might not even be here, Ando has his ups and downs (in terms of form and fitness) and Fletcher’s condition doesn’t leave much room for optimism. I’ve heard about Khedira too. Don’t know how much truth there is in it, but we need someone to stick his foot in. We still don’t have a direct replacement for Fletcher and it shows in our defensive play.

  179. CedarsDevil says:

    Shebangsthedrums

That is amazing, having been there way before your time I doubt we ever bumped into each other. My latter years were spent in Buxton, don’t tell me you lived there too? hahaha

  180. Shebangsthedrums says:

Good morning folks, by the way.

  181. CedarsDevil says:

I love you City I do, I love you City I do, I love you City I do ooooh City I love you….

Coventry City that is for their result last night. The said love will end in approximately 13 minutes.

  182. Sandeep1878 says:

    Costas,

I m fine buddy but my laptop is crashed :( meaning i w can surf only from office for some day :(

I will have to extend my Dell warranty..

i think its a big fuck up for the next 20 days or so..

    ###

    Cedars,

buddy since when did u start loving RVP just for football :P

we all thought there was something more to it :)

  183. ricky says:

fergies already hinted he might get eriksen, depending on hw he plays and what the players think of him on thursday

  184. kanchelskis says:

    @Costas

I agree. It’s all very well having depth, and it can help you go the distance in league competitions, but the fact is we’re still lacking a really imposing figure in that position for the big games. A few years ago it was Fletcher, but we realistically have to doubt he’ll ever get back to that level, and in a couple of years time it could well be Pogba, but we can’t burden him with unrealistic expectations.

For all that’s great about Fergie’s dynasty-building, sometimes a relatively ‘short-term’ fix is needed.

    rednburied

Burying your red in the sand and claiming patriotism only shows your arse to the world.
    Your odorous issue is odious.

    - pre 400 AD no English was spoken at all anywhere, ever.
    - In the 5th century, the fusion of languages and dialects which were brought to Great Britain by Germanic settlers , was collectively termed English, derived from Angeln, a peninsula in Germany.
    - Latin then added and shaped the language, as the Church dominated education.
    - 8th and 9th centuries, the Vikings had their way, and their say; more changes effected
    - 11th century, Normans thrust French violently in, to what is now termed ‘Middle-English’
    - In the 12th century, ‘madam’ was added, from Old French ma dame (my lady)
    - The Great Vowel shift began in the 15th century, marking the emergence of Modern English
    - In the 16th century, ‘mam’ was added, adapted from ‘ ma’am ‘ or ‘madam’
    - 16th century again, ‘mammy’ was added, adapted from ‘mam’
    - In the 17th century, ‘mum’ was added, an abbreviation of ‘mammy’
    - In the 18th century, ‘mummy’ was added
    - In the 19th century, ‘mom’ was added, an abbreviation of ‘momma’
Modern English is formed from foreign words it has assimilated from all over the world.

47 of the 48 English words you used do not originate in Great Britain.
The only word that is your own, is ‘ CAN’T ‘ which in itself actually derives from ‘can not’ which is related to Dutch, German or latin, depending on who your neighbours were.

  190. CedarsDevil says:

So you have an argument with your missus then decide to come on a United blog and have a go at some posters? Pretty strange way to release tension if you ask me.

Personally I have no beef with you, well to be honest I do not like beef, more of a lamb person but that is another story.

If you are genuine enough with your apology you could have directed it at those you offended or had a bizarre attack on.

    Capiche?

You wear a pink tracksuit and have curly hair

IN YOUR LIVERPOOL SLUMS. IN YOUR LIVERPOOL SLUMS

  192. Sandeep1878 says:

    kANCHELSKIS,

    devastating indeed :P

  193. Shebangsthedrums says:

smartalex – thanks for the education in the English language.

I don’t know what to make of our midfield situation, I think we could do with bringing someone in but I don’t really want us to get rid of anyone, so if everyone was fit, we’d have far too many players in that position. I suppose Giggs and Scholes won’t expect too many games next season.

I’m looking forward to the Ajax game, hope to see Cleverley get some game time.

See you all later, I’m off to the library with the kids. After smartalex’s response, I might have a look for something on the history of the English language, don’t think Julia Donaldson books stretch that far though.

  194. rednburied says:

Ah well it takes all sorts, each to their own I suppose. I was working in Liverpool a month ago, I had to hide my team of choice of course. Honestly, not all of them are bad, I don’t like the Hillsb or Mun. songs and the majority agree with me. You do have to have respect for them however much it may hurt. I really do not like Giggs, regardless of how he performs ( this dates back to 1998 and 2004) when I was in his company….I will not elaborate.

  195. kanchelskis says:

Hahaha. After all that singing, Giggsy’s NOT going to Amsterdam! Squad just boarded the plane and he wasn’t with them.

Maybe he’s going with RYANAIR instead LOL!!!!!1

No but seriously, he’s not in the travelling squad.

  196. CedarsDevil says:

Its fairly obvious you do not like Giggs, that would explain your post at 8:40 using a different moniker

  197. CedarsDevil says:

    kanchelskis

No surprises there to be honest…… Do you have the full squad list making the trip?

  198. kanchelskis says:

    Squad 4 2moz:

De Gea, Amos; Fabio, Rafael, Evans, Jones, Smalling, Fryers, Ferdinand; Valencia, Nani, Carrick, Young, Park, Scholes, Cleverley, Pogba; Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck

  199. rednburied says:

Bang wrong there. That has NOTHING whatsoever to do with me. My gripe with Mr. Giggs is personal and genuine and Mr. Steve Bruce is included in it too. I do not use any other name on here, someone has tried to clone me before, but they are A N Other team.

  200. kanchelskis says:

    No Berba … injured?

  201. Sandeep1878 says:

20-man travelling squad: De Gea, Amos, Evans, Rafael, Fabio, Jones, Ferdinand, Valencia, Nani, Carrick, Young, Park, Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, Scholes, Cleverley, Pogba, Smalling and Fryers.

Evra, Giggs, Berba not traveling with the squad.

  202. CedarsDevil says:

    kanchelskis

Cheers, pretty impressive squad, almost full strength….. Would be interesting to see what sort of a line up the boss picks tomorrow.

  203. Booch says:

Hi Everyone in this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My team to play Ajax 2moro!!!!!!

De Gea, Rafel, Smalling, Rio, Fabio, Pouda, Cleverly, Nani, Hernandez, Rooney.
Subs: Lindernard,Flyers, Welback and other young palyers

Anyone agree on my team or disagree

  204. Sandeep1878 says:

    Cedars,

I think we will go with the strongest 11 and depending on the scoreline around 60th minute, young guns might get a cameo..

    I hope Cleverly starts tomorrow.

  205. kanchelskis says:

    @CedarsDevil

Yeh. I kinda assumed we’d see “strikers 3 and 4″ up front – ie Hernandez and Berba, but Berba’s ommission is confusing. I can only assume he’s injured. Giggs and Evra certainly need the rest.

Unless we play 4-5-1 (a possibility), then one of Rooney and Welbeck will play, and I thought they’d both be rested. Plus can’t really envisage Hernandez up front on his own.

  206. Costas says:

    @Smartalex

    Brilliant post as always.

    @Sandeep

Hope your laptop problems get resolved soon pal.

  207. kanchelskis says:

Pouda is one of my favourite players.

  208. Costas says:

Thanks for the squad kanchelskis. About time Evra got a rest. And Giggs (as sad as it is that he won’t go to Amsterdam :P ) not going also makes sense. We will celebrate his 900 appearances next Thursday at OT. ;)

As for Berba, I don’t get it. Is he injured? He hasn’t played in weeks. Is he rested? From what? We don’t have a game this weekend and it’s not he was going to play in it anyway. Quite disappointed to be honest. I was hoping that the Europa League would give him an opportunity to start some games.

    @Cedars

    Nice catch at 9:50.

  209. Dakduivel says:

Since Fergie’s saying that he’ll field the strongest line-up possible I’m thinking it’ll look something like this:

    ————————De Gea——————————-

    -Rafael———-Rio———–Evans————-Fabio-

    ——————-Scholes—–Carrick———————

    -Valencia——————————————–Young-

    ————————–Rooney——————————

    ————————–Welbeck—————————–

I’d rather see Scholsey rested and then coming on after 60/70 minutes or so for Clevs. Smalling should also get some playing time and Fergie might go with him instead of Rio/Rafael, the same goes for Jones though. Also, I’d like to see Nani instead of the Young but since he’s just coming back from injury I figure he won’t start.

  210. Costas says:

Based on this squad, my line up would be something like this:

DDG – Jones, Smalling, Evans, Fabio – Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Young – Rooney, Hernandez

  211. CedarsDevil says:

    Booch

I agree I agree and like kanchelskis said Pouda is also one of my favorite players!

    Costas

    Way too easy mate

  212. MG says:

    Sandeep

    Cheers mate for that ;)

    Good Morning United

I can’t find United in the CL draw – have I missed something?

  213. smartalex says:

    Cheers Shebangsthedrums and Costas!

Well done there CedarsDevil. I didn’t make the connection, but definitely i do now.

I don’t agree with this new fad of apologising for one action and thinking that all your others should be covered. If you don’t pay the premium, you don’t get the cover.

  214. Sandeep1878 says:

    I would go with,

    DDG

    Rafael Rio Jones Evans

    Val Scholes Tom Nani

    Danny Rooney.

  215. tom c says:

    pouda pouda pouda!

personally i’m more of a Booch fan myself..

ah rednburied, don’t try start shit with any of the regulars here, they’ll tear you apart like giggs!

  216. Drewgen says:

I’d go for DDG – Jones Smalling Evans Fabio – Carrick Scholes – Valencia Park Young – Rooney
Cleverly for Scholes and Nani for Valencia, and then Hernandez for Park if we need a goal, Pogba for Park if we don’t
But then I have no ide just HOW fit these returning players are…
    In Fergie we trust!

  217. sayyidhashim says:

    DDG

    Rafeal Rio Evans Fabio

    Nani Carrick Cleverley Young

    Rooney Hernandez

  218. CedarsDevil says:

I would just go for Cedars, my formation would be

    0 – 0 – 0 – 1….. Should work wonders

    MG

We actually opted to drop out of that worthless competition to join the elite in that other one. All part of the master plan by Fergie…. Its the only one we have not yet won

  219. slim says:

Love Paul to bits but he shouldn’t be starting this game but i reckon Scholes get the nod. Thing is no one else in there has featured much. I’d go with Jones and Carrick but that may be too much too soon. Would be sweet to see Clevs and Pogba feature. Its been all about the attackers and how we’ve rotated them to our own advantage so far this season. I’d like to see some of the young CM’s get their shot too

  220. kanchelskis says:

    @slim

Scholes played 90 mins on Saturday. I’d be surprised to see him start…

  221. zelh says:

can’t see paul playing tomorrow. we’ll need him for spurs.

  222. zelh says:

good to see that Evra is getting his rest. So I guess Fryers or Fabio playing.

  223. CedarsDevil says:

    tom c

Where on earth have you been pal? Hope all is well, nice to see you here again…..

    Pouda Pouda! hahaha

  224. zelh says:

I hope we go with Smalling and Evans in defence. The last thing we need now is an injured Ferdinand.

  225. Jeet says:

    DDG
    Fabio Rio Smalling Evans
    Nani Carrick Clevs Young
    Rooney Hernandez

  226. Jeet says:

@Zelh: Agreed, but they way I’ve seen Fergie operate is that if Rio travels, he plays. If he feels Rio needs a rest, he usually doesnt include him in the traveling squad.

  227. zelh says:

Jeet – I know. It’s just my pov that the league is far more important than Europa League. That’s why I hope we rest the likes of Tony, Rio, Carrick and Welbeck or Rooney.

  228. slim says:

    kanchelskis

thats what popped into my head really.

90 mins against that “lot” ,don’t get me wrong Stevie me was no where close to him but playing a full match and starting away from OT may be stretching it a bit, but who knows. Knowing Paul we could get another masterclass from him.

The younger players he’s keeping on the bench must have complex feeling towards him. Loving him one moment, hating him the next. We’ve just ticked since he came back but i hope it doesn’t bite back in the ass by overplaying it

  229. kanchelskis says:

    @Jeet

Thing is, I don’t think Rio ever needs ‘rest’ these days. The way he plays uses up very little energy. He’s about positional awareness and covering, doesn’t go on those runs forward any more, and doesn’t come up for corners.

His days off are usually to recuperate from the various tweaks arising from the core problem with his back. I can see him being rested for this one, to allow Smalling back into the team, and to preserve Rio for key games v Norwich and – more importantly – Spurs.

  230. smartalex says:

Just overheard myself revealing tomorrow’s starting line-up. Can’t keep a secret, so:

    Amos
    Rafael , Smalling , Evans , Fabio
    Nani , Cleverley , Jones , Scholes , Young
    Hernandez

Far too young throughout the line-up, I know
Rio, Mike and Tony must rest sometime.
Scholes doesn’t need rest, but could take it easy for the OT leg.

Amos, Rafael, Fabio, Nani, Cleverley, Jones, Young and Hernandez need game time. So does Ji, but he is less needy.

  231. samuel - united WE stand says:

Costas – I get your point mate. I see him as another bigoted fool who feels big behind his keyboard. Annoys me when some people like him come on here to give others abuse because you disagreed with his inappropriate crap. Jokes are great but we all should know the boundaries.

  232. smartalex says:

It is wonderful that our captain Patrice has his well earned break immediately after his triumph!

Pat – Celebrate with Giggsy, you can paint the town Red together.
I’m sure that Fletch will join you.

  233. Sandeep1878 says:

I think we would need Scholes for this game :)

We can rest him for OT game..

Young, Clevz coming back from injury, so it would need some calm, composure and bossing midfielder and we have only scholes who does it with ease..

in my opinion, Carrick is the one who needs rest…

Scholesy would start the game, i would bet my money on that :) unless Rooney comes back in midfield :)

Signing off with that you beauts, back later this evening.

  235. James21 says:

I missed all that shit last night.
I’m really sorry Costas, that in fact is the first time that I can remember someone has had a go at you.
For someone who keeps his distance from many arguements, brilliant with stats and is Utd through and through to recieve abuse like that is disgraceful. If it means anything we all think your’re a top guy and you don’t fit into the ‘Glory hunter’ tag at all.

Costas, tom c, smartalex and the rest of you sad acts with nothing better in your lives to do, other than type meaningless shit to faceless, sad people. My research is done and, not just this pathetic site but ALL social networking, draws me to the conclusion that people such as yourselves need to speak face to face with REAL humans. How many of you sad individuals actually agree to meet up, maybe actually at a match or in a face to face social situation?? My company gave me three sites to see and report my findings…..it fills me with utter embarrassment that alleged adults such as yourselves feel the need to log on to these sites and engage in ridiculous drivel. Radio phone in shows are the same. If I feel the need to vent my anger or share a point, and this may seem odd to you cretins, I go to the match (only missed 15 games in the last 36 years) or pick up a telephone and arrange to leave my house and physically meet friends. Other things I have found, the ‘fan’. Just because you buy a shirt or subscribe to SKY does not make you a ‘fan’, you are a follower. This does not just relate to this site but includes all these ‘fan’ sites. Well Billy No Mates, my work is done, and now you can start the abuse back, but I will not read any of it, as I have a very fulfilling life interacting with real human beings, socialising and actually visiting grounds when the matches are played. I have been entertained by your replies, NOT, you just accelerated my opinions of lonely people that use sites like this. Get a life people YOU WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE……..I feel very sorry for you.

No wonder he had a row with his wife bet she’s shit scared of him.
He assumes none of us go to games but feels the need to tell us he hasn’t missed too many games in 36 years. Thats very lucky considering todays football costs, costs me about £70 per game with coach travel and even more if I drive myself.

  248. smartalex says:

    Golden Scholes by Graeme Souness:

“Paul Scholes is making me eat my words at the moment. I said in this column that I was amazed he was making a comeback, when he obviously felt with his retirement last season that he could no longer do what he used to do in the United engine-room.”

“But it’s been so far, so good for Paul since he returned to Manchester United’s midfield.

… if that means he continues to prove me wrong, then so be it.”

    A bit more at:
    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/234974/Golden-Scholes/

    A fair retraction from Souness.

  249. WillieRedNut says:

    I smell vermin?

  250. kanchelskis says:

    @smartalex

Sounness may be a YSB and was a chopper of the highest order as a player, but I think we have to grudgingly accept that he’s a pretty decent pundit. Hell, I was sceptical about the Scholes return too!

Souness is occassionally a bit outspoken but I never find him particularly biased, and he offers good insight where others dish up meaningless platitudes. He’s actually similar to GNev in his style!

  251. smartalex says:

James21 – he is better than everyone.

That is the gist of his display.

Better even than Giggs, better than Sir Alex and, believe it or not, better than me!
How could that be? just kidding, he is much better than me at everything. He’s local.

As far as match-day is concerned, your position on Earth is important.
We all want to watch the game.

For anyone not at the game, whether he be an ardent match-going Red or a distant TV watching Red, it is great to talk to those who were there. Even when you go to the game, you will come here after and lap up everyone else’s experience, while we feed on yours. And, you will devour any footage you can get your hands on.

This is a 7 day a week, 365 day per year Love. We live United.

  252. Red Neville says:

I’m shocked to see Berbatov left behind for the game tomorrow, I thought he would be a nailed on starter with Hernandez.

  253. smartalex says:

    kanchelskis

The little I’ve seen and read of him, supports what you say about Souness
His Scottish blood is too strong to be addled by the scouse it stews in.

ps I’m not into musicals, but that song is a classic. Giggs12′s moniker was enchanted by the crowd, so it all just made sense. Non-match-going Reds also chant, I’ll have you know! Although, not many sing numbers from South Pacific, not even me.

  254. WillieRedNut says:

Last night I was miserable because I spent one more Valentine’s Day as a virgin and the thought of Ryan Giggs having more sex in one week than I will in a lifetime filled me with jealousy and bitterness. So I came to this blog to attack him. I thought that it would make me feel like a tough man and maybe I’d finally be able to see my dick. Sadly that didn’t happen, so I started attacking other posters. And now that I’ve been found out as a miserable scouse twat, I’ll try to make a grand exit by coming up with ridiculous excuses and attacking you lot some more. Don’t bother responding to me. Personally I’d love to have a convo with any United fan that actually has an issue with United fans living in other cities, countries or even continents. I have the outmost respect for our local fanbase and I believe that reasonable points could be made on both ends. But that conversation won’t be with idiots like that.

    @James

Hi mate. There used to be a time when I picked fights on a frequent basis, but at some point I stopped. It was a waste of time. I’ve been attacked before and once or twice, that person was actually right. It’s the fakers that annoy me. I have no problem with rival fans coming here and taking the piss. I ignore them or respond to their banter. Depends on the mood. But there’s something about a “United fan who’s only missed 15 games in 36 years” and who then attacks Ryan Giggs like that, that gets on my nerves.

    Subs; Amos, Rafael,Fryers, Pogba,Cleverley,Valencia,Welbeck

Trust me, SAF said he doesn’t want to risk Nani + Jones, they are only with the squad to train and build up fitness.

“I believe that in life it is always necessary to forgive. Patrice wanted to forgive Suarez. In Anfield he was attacked, but at Old Trafford he offered the hand. The action of Suarez was not justified. For me, to reject the hand of someone is very serious. The action of the Uruguayan before the beginning of the match increased our force to defeat Liverpool. In the ground, there was calm and the rivalry. But after the action of Suarez, the tension exploded.”

David De Gea clearly needs to get priorities in order or else join Van Der Sar as a flop.

1-He needs to bulk up to the size of Hulk Hogan with 6 pack or 4 will do.
    2-He needs a haircut, perhaps a mo-hawk or the Justin Bieber hair-do.
3-Shave, the lamb chops or “side burns”, they look hideous, at least shape it up & look Neat.
4-Use some Hair gel or agressive perfume for intimidation.
5-Stand with his fist clenched, butt cheeks clenched and chest out.
6-Growl whenever he collects the ball.
7-Scream whenever he takes a goalkick or passes.
8- Shout “Ole” when he needs to punch the ball.
9- Pick a fight with Albrighton or Wright-Phillips then move on to Heskey or Kenwyne Jones.
    10 – Score a goal.

  277. King Eric says:

Ha ha. How pathetic is redand buried? You couldnt make it up. Tell you what pal if you say you dont miss a game how about you meet me and some other match goers at Platts next home game for a bevvy? No thought not.

Costas – Hello mate. Oh no I didnt mean that username had a pop at you a year or so a go but some other clown did. You must remember. Just cannot remember his name. He made little ryhmes up about you and shit?

    Khedira? No thanks.

  278. King Eric says:

Clint – You DO make me laugh pal. Quality.

We could really do with putting the tie to bed in Amsterdam. No game at weekend but we have Norwich three days after home tie. Won’t be easy but get job done tomorrow then rest some for home tie. In an ideal world anyway

  279. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Zelh – FAKE KITS mate !

Since when did Arsenal black socks, black on their shirt.
United never have red socks plus the kit looks like a spiderman outfit.
Barca’s socks don’t match the kit.

I hope our kit is fake.

  280. WillieRedNut says:

Clark Kent sacked. His number 2 has been sacked too, Lois Lane.

  281. Jeet says:

@King Eric: Isn’t the Norwich game on Sunday, 26th?

  282. zelh says:

Cint – the jerseys are legit. I think that they confused the socks with ours.

  283. Costas says:

Yeah, good point from Papii about the socks. Our home kit consists of black socks, unless our opponents also wear black socks. In that case, we wear white. That kit is probably a fake, but to be honest, I think I am going to hate the real deal too. Changing the kits every season means less imagination.

    @Balaji

Haven’t thought about it! Still trying to nail down a job in the medical team. ;)

    @King Eric

Hi mate, My memory is not the greatest. I remember the Facebook warrior. He was the one that attacked me and then he posted a random person’s Facebook profile and invited me to continue the fight there. What an idiot. What would this place be without the occasional weirdo hey?

  284. WillieRedNut says:

We could do with putting the tie to bed first leg. A pun in there somewhere?

  285. Alom says:

New kits apparently taking from a nike town store somewhere..

I really dont like the checks.. maybe it will grow on me..
barca kit looks like PSG’s kit now

  286. wayne says:

Don’t 100% disagree with redand not about ROM but society is becoming more and more introverted the talksport stat were a large % of fans would rather watch the game on tele instead of going, facebook, twitter, online dating services, online games that people come addicted to,constant texting, cell phone addiction, people becoming addicted to online porn that effects marriages
Society has taken a strange slant over the last few years imo,a lot of people live in fantasy worlds and not in reality, less and less 1 on 1 interaction.

  287. theboogeyman says:

    Good afternoon/evening folks.

King Eric- You think United are gonna make it easy for us by settling it early on? How long have you been following us? :P We always do it the hardest way possible!

  288. Costas says:

Thanks Alom. My apologies to zelh, if this is indeed the actual kit. There’s definitely a mix up in the socks.

Oh well. Bring on the Spiderman kit!

  289. gaz says:

evening fellas. Hah i see Wankini is backing down over melty Neck fucking cock. What about Trianglehead ratty face Sewar Rat Suarez and his staged apology fucking cunt loved Pat giving it large at the end to the stretty Saturday!

I actually wanted to share a Sir Alex moment and what a top man and down to earth character he is. Here where i live there is a company called Vita Cortex that has been in operation for over 50 years in the local area but last year it shut down causing a lot of hardship for its workers some of whom worked there for over 40 years they had been promised a full redundancy payemnt of 2.9 weeks of salary for each year of service by the owners but when the shit hit the fan they reneged on the promise and refused to pay the workers what they owe.

The workers staged a sit down protest in the Vita Cortex plant which still contains all the working machinary and remaining appliances that costs a fuckload and they have refused to leave until they get what the want drumming up massive national support there are 25 workers in total. So far the owners are refusing to pay ANY money saying the dont have it which is horseshit and they are now planning to bring the workers to court to evict them.

Yesterday at 14.00pm Sir Alex made a phone call to support the workers with there protest he told them stick with it and that he admires their courage and strength of will the call lasted 5 mins and was a fantastic gesture from the great man and one that gave them a great moral boost to family men who have been away from there familys since before and during christmas! well done Sir Alex shows the class of our great club and wanted to share that with those of you who were unaware!!

  290. WillieRedNut says:

Seen that story gaz? Don’t forget, Fergie was a union man back in the day. He can relate to those workers. Working class upbringing. Nice of him to reach out like that. Not as hard nosed as the UK press would have you believe.

  291. WillieRedNut says:

    Whats up boogey? :)

  292. gaz says:

    @WillieRedNut

Totally agree just shows that fame and glory never changed him contributes to what a great manager and man he is class all round!

  293. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Zelh – Did you just call me Cint?
Top post….mix up is likely, I hate this kit, the best was in 2008, remember the back? Great Kit it was.

We should just have 1 kit per 3 years, but then United & Nike would be pissed.

  294. smashley-LFC fan in peace says:

@gaz; that’s awsome and really i’m not that surprised. Sir Alex may be very wealthy but he’s never forgotton his roots and will always stand up for what he believes in’

  295. gaz says:

    @smashley-LFC fan in peace

fair play lad yes its a nice touch a small portian of his time and it meant so much to workers whom i might add have some Liverpool fans amongst them and were really excited and delighted to hear the support. Paul McGrath has now lent his name to the cause and is paying them a visit!

  296. Alom says:

    RE: the new home kit

“Apparently our kit has a “tartan design” to honour Sir Alex’s 25 yrs at United”

  297. keanoisdaman says:

    What a twat rednburied is!

  298. ManchesterMike says:

Why the *$#&#($) did SAF leave out Evra, Giggs, and Berbatov for the Europa league trip?? I understand givin’ ‘em rest and whatnot, but we’re running pretty thin on numbers right now.

Unless, this could mean some of the boys are back…. :)

  299. kanchelskis says:

    @ManchesterMike

Well, if you look at the squad list from several hours ago, you’ll see that some of the boys are – indeed – back. Nani, Jones, Smalling, Cleverley all travelled. Evra and Giggs could certainly do with the rest (as could Carrick IMO), but the ommission of Berbatov is pretty odd.

I can only assume he’s injured (Fergie has a presser this evening where he’ll probably be asked).

  300. smartalex says:

Sir Alex was being measured by his taylor, who told him about the workers’ plight.
SAF asked his tailor to advise the shop steward that he would be calling after lunch!

Like the Godfather, being measured up for suits while hearing requests from his family.

  301. Lebomanc says:

    Manchestermike
I found it weird that berba didn’t travel with the squad but as Ian he skis said it only means he’s injured
And Am not sure about sir Alex wanting to rest these two for such a game…. However goal.com said they were injured:
    http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2012/02/15/2907181/ryan-giggs-dimitar-berbatov-and-patrice-evra-absent-from

  302. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Looking at some pics of United lads during their flight to Hamsterdam.

Looks like De Gea has made some spanish speaking buddies in Tony and Chicharito !

Whos this Javi Garcia never heard of him?

  303. Lebomanc says:

    Smartalex said*

  304. kanchelskis says:

    @Lebomanc

What a load of balls that story is. Not substantiation for the claim that they’re injured – no mention of what injuries exactly they might have. Paddy certainly didn’t seem crocked as he danced around the touchline at the end of Saturday’s match!

It also refers to Anderson, Lindegaard and Owen as ‘high-profile names’.

    Hmmm….

  305. kanchelskis says:

    @Clint

Where can said pics be viewed?

  306. WillieRedNut says:

Fergie’s gonna make Vita Cortex an offer they can’t refuse. ;)

  307. col says:

KingEric – In the words of ‘our boy Roy’ it’d have to be ….

    “I’ll see you out there!!!”

There ain’t any chance of catching rednburied in Platts,
but you may well have already shared a pint an a song with me in there …

    Cheers 8)

  308. Jeet says:

@Gaz: Fantastic story. Gave me goosebumps. That’s what at the core of the club – proper working class values. That’s what no oil tycoon can ever buy.
Seriously, what a man The Gaffer is. 70 if a day, managing the biggest club in the world and still finds time and inclination for these things. Indeed blessed was the day, I put my heart on United.

  309. Lebomanc says:

    Kanchelskis
Haha… Ya maybe but why do you think they were not in the squad? Cause I don’t find it good t rest evra for a game like this

  310. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Jeet, Amen to that. There are fantastic such gestures strewn about within our ranks. Unfortunately, the press chooses to focus on the wrong details or wrong persons doing the right things for publicity. United and our players just do said good things without fanfare because we actually mean to do them. That is what makes me love United all the more. There’s nothing pretentious in what we do, everything is so fucking genuine and I love it.

  311. Clint-iamyourpapii says:

Not my account, but I was sent this link by a friend, if you click on the welbeck photo and search to the right, im sure more pictures can be seen.

  312. kanchelskis says:

    @Lebomanc

    The league is the priority.

If you look at the number of games Evra has played – and mostly played 90 minutes in – since the 2009/10 season, it’s terrifying. By far the most regular starter for the club over that period of time.

This is in part due to the lack of competition for his place. Now we have Fabio, Evans and Fryers in the squad, all of whom can do a job at LB. Fergie obviously plans to start one of them (probably Fabio), with the other two as adequate cover. No point putting Paddy through the fatigue of two flights and the (admittedly negligble) jetlag if he’s only going to sit on the bench.

  313. kanchelskis says:

    @Clint

Quality – cheers mate. Lol @ Nani lookin’ fly!

  314. Lebomanc says:

    Kanchelskis
That’s very true, I agree and Fabio hasn’t been playing much too, he deserves some playing time
but its been a while since Evans last played in LB

    New thread btw

  315. King Eric says:

col – Get yourself in there pal and meet me , Mike, Giggs12 and James21.

boogeyman – Hello mate. No they won’t will they!

Jeet – Yes Sunday mate so thats three days after home tie on the Thursday!!!

  316. Marq says:

The game against Ajax is also the audition for Eriksen. A creative player, but seems lightweight. Then again, that was what we said about Silva…

  317. rohitvarkey says:

can someone suggest some good reads about united?i just finished RED and totally loved it!

  318. CedarsDevil says:

    Costas at 12:59

Pure genius and safe to assume very accurate as well!

  319. CedarsDevil says:

    gaz

Thanks for sharing that Sir Alex story, what a legend of a man he is on every level

  320. gaz says:

Hi all lads it was a pleasure to share that story, funny that sort of stuff never gets much press but then again i am not fucking surprised with those bitter ABU Fuckheads. !

  321. smartalex says:

Jamie Carragher on Sunday’s FA Cup fifth round tie against Brighton:

“It’s a massive game for us and if we win we’ll be into the quarter-finals, and if you do well there then you’re at Wembley.”

    Massive.

  322. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Afternoon fellas. That is disappointing about Berbatov. Hopefully if it is an injury it isn’t too serious. Agree about not taking Giggsy or Evra across. Both need rest. Scholes is a different matter he’s the only one in the squad to have scored in the competition!!!

Jokes aside with the next league game 10 days away we can afford to play a strong XI with a few tweaks. I’d start Scholes and bring Cleverly on. My team for tomoz

    DDG

    Smalling Evans Ferdinand Fabio

    Tony V Carrick Scholes Young

    Welbeck Rooney

Amos, Jones, Rafael, Park, Cleverly, Hernandez and Nani on the bench

As for the so called new shirt, Nike have been very disappointing in the majority of the home shirts they have released. That new design (if real) looks nothing like tartan. Looks like a fucked up napkin or tea towel. Now Adidias have dropped the vermin hopefully they do our shirts when the contract is up for renewal. This years shirt was just a copy of the very last Umbro one.

  323. theboogeyman says:

King Eric- Not a bloody chance. We’ll probably go 5 goals down in Amsterdam and then mount a massive comeback in the last 0.00423234 seconds of the game or something lol

  324. NotoriousRedDevil says:

From Fergies press conference. Berbatov is injured.

  325. theboogeyman says:

    NRD- Good evening mate.

Yeah I like the look of that squad. Fucking hell, the depth of our squad is unbelievable. There aren’t many teams that can match us in that department.

That kit is shit, hope it’s a fake.

  326. olivertwist says:

Careful you Man.U fans, if Liverpool win the Leauge Cup on Sunday week they will move another major trophy ahead of your team.

    Champions Leauge/European cup
    Eufa Cup/European cup winners Cup
    Leauge
    F.A Cup
    Leauge Cup

Oliver. Villa fan with one European Cup.

  327. Simon says:

Not all European cups are created equal. Real Madrid picked up five in a row at a time when the english clubs weren’t even in Europe and one had to play 4 games to win the tournament.

Likewise, Liverpool during their halcyon days won 4 European cups playing an average of 4 games to reach the final against the likes of Red Star and Munchengladbach.

Conversely in the champions league one has to play 13 games to win the tournament. It’s much much harder to win it now, which is why no club has ever retain the Champions League, whilst the old European Cup was retain by several clubs.

So the important European statistic is United 2 – Liverpool 1 in CL trophies.

  328. Mancuniac says:

    Evra 4 Suarez 0
