Reports suggest that Alexis Sanchez could be confirmed as a Manchester United player tomorrow after the player has agreed terms with the club. A private plane has apparently been organised to take the player from London to Manchester on Thursday.
Arsenal’s move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan has held up the transfer, with agent Mino Raiola claiming that the Sanchez is the bargaining chip in the deal for Armenian, not the other way around.
However, given that Raiola has several other players at United, including Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he’s reportedly ready to get the transfer wrapped up, as not to sour relationships with United.
Contrary to the claims of some pundits and rival fans, Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas has revealed that Alexis Sanchez has chosen United over Manchester City because he believes he can be a star at Old Trafford. He claims that any Chilean player of Sanchez’s generation dreamed of playing for United when they were growing up and this is what swayed him.
Last summer, only City were keen to sign Sanchez and they had agreed terms. But when United entered the mix, Sanchez had his head turned.
