marvsharpe, i’m not saying the goal Scholes hit against Villa was easy, it was hard. What I said was that the goal vs Bradford was harder, considering the trajectory & speed of the ball coming in. So in my own opinion, the Bradford goal is better than the Villa goal

Costas, there’s no way he “mis-hit” the shot against Barca. He needed to put bend on it to get it away from the ‘keeper.

And Marq i’d seriously give you £100 if you could hit a volley like the Scholes’ one did against Villa, even with 20 attemtps! Hitting a volley like that when you have so much time to think about it is sometimes harder than smacking it when you’ve only got a split second to think about it, a la the Bradford goal.

The goal against Villa was great, but the goals against Bradford & and now Fulham, are technically harder. The ball was dropping down in front of Scholes for his goal against Villa, and all he had to do was to keep it down. But his goals against Bradford & Fulham, the ball came straight from the corner and was going across his body. Very hard to make a clean connection with the ball cutting across your body like that. So my opinion, while his goal against Villa looked better, his goal vs Bradford was the best, as it went straight into the corner unlike this which you can argue that the keeper made a mess of it

What an amazing game by Scholes. He also fired another rocket that almost made it in. I’m 34 and Giggs and Scholes inspire me to get off my ass-and prance around like a ferry boy in my chelski kit.
