Shock! Ashley Cole’s family is scum too!

Earlier this summer, the FA deemed that Ashley Cole lied to defend John Terry who was found guilty of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand.

In Cole’s first statement to the FA, he claimed he heard or saw Anton use a “B” word, which he suggested might have been “Bridge” as Anton said it whilst making a sexual gesture.

A week later, Cole changed his statement and claimed that the word he heard could have been “black”. Terry’s entire defence relied on his claim that he thought he heard Anton accuse him of calling him a “black cunt”, making Cole’s change of story incredibly suspicious. Given that this was a case about racism, it made no sense at all that Cole would forget that he could have seen/heard Anton use the word “black”.

If Cole is prepared to lie in court to defend a racist, it should come as no surprise that his family are scum bags too.

Following a City fan cutting Rio Ferdinand’s head with a coin on Sunday, Cole’s brother and mother took to Facebook, with the full report in The Mirror.

His brother Matty posted: “So happy Rio got hit in the face today when he tried to give it kissing his badge!! Straight in the eye!! Made my day.”

His mother Sue replied: “Bloody missed that, ha ha ha. Give the fan that threw it a medal!!!”

Matty replied: “They’ll show it on MoTD sooooo funny lol.”

Sue responded: “Rio in audience at x factor, wonder if he can see?????”

    You need to be very, very careful. Slander is applicable to the Internet you know. And lies like the ones you stated above are actionable.
    Cole’s original statement was taken down in handwritten notes by the FA representative, and she wrote “B-word” as she took those notes. When the subsequent typed statement was submitted to Cole and his legal representatives for signature, he informed them that he did not say “B-word” in the interview, but that he had said the word in full, and the female interviewer had made the abbreviation. Cole’s representatives considered it important that Cole’s actual words were used in the document, not an interviewers politically-correct version, hence the change requested prior to Cole signing off on the document as accurate.
    You really should be more aware of your facts you know.

    If the comments pasted on Facebook by members of the Cole family are true….it just shows everybody what a low-life…small minded family they are. I have been a Manchester United fan and season ticket holder for over 50 years and can honestly say that I cannot understand why there is so much hatred between fellow team supporters. Put into basics….what is football……22 persons kicking a ball round a field of play….that is what it is….but persons take it as more important that anything else in their lives..
    It,s about time all the terrible behaviour associated with the GAME was terminated.

    I could care less about Cole, his mum, etc. But I do love this game that they seem to view only with contempt.

    There is a smashingly honest piece out in telegraph that reminds us how few view the actions of Terry, Suarez, their clubs or their mates with anything but the contempt they diserve.

    I for one will not look back at the last year with much love lost. Always look forward in hope for better.

  17. George says:

    This is one of the worst pieces I’ve ever read on here. Completely pathetic tribalism. I’m a big Manchester United fan, but John Terry was found innocent in a criminal court. You should be ashamed of writing this sentence: “If Cole is prepared to lie in court to defend a racist, it should come as no surprise that his family are scum bags too.”

  18. Andromeda says:

    @Samuel, Nani to Arsenal?no way, I think despite all his lackluster performance this season he is still a great of part Fergie’s paradigm, he has still got things to prove in united’s jigsaw puzzle!who knows?may be he and Anderson”out for 6 to 8 weeks” are our secret weapons for the second part of the season.the only problem with Nani is his inconsistency methinks but again he is on Berbatov either”although I loved the latter”the problem is united are following a utilitarian manifolds system, so any player no matter how his class or talent should share his welfare with the greatest welfare of the club, there is no favouritism in united, thats why we are successful.Nani has created so many crucial moments in his career at united but what matter the most is consistency.we say this time and time this season and the previous seasons as well.your mere talent doesn’t guarantee a starting lineup everyday, as Fergie will dump out any regular down performer unitl he toughen up.but again I seriously don’t think Ferghe will abandon Nani, thats for sure :-)

  19. samuel - united WE stand says:

    Reading RVP interviews, you can really see the hardwork fergie and his coaches/scouts do in terms of not only finding top class talents but also making sure they have the right attitude and mentality that blends with manchester united. Van persie, for all his obvious talents is,a very humble man, he has adapted to united with minimum fuss. He works hard at not only on the attacking side but also the rough side of the game like defending e.t c. He cherishes responsiblity rather than hide. He has also improved players around him, i can only hope the likes of welbeck benefit.

    Just looked at the tweet. He’s got gooners replying to him saying it’s not London Colney at all.

  51. kanchelskis says:

    @wayne

    This is why I can’t abide the Jan transfer window. Everyone gets their squad together at the start of the season, and that should be the squad you compete with. So ridiculous that – for example – Mancini can fail to get the best out of probably the league’s most talented squad, and he can just cancel out those shortcomings with a big buy halfway through the season. Shouldn’t be allowed.

    The FA is not a court my friend, If cole was thought to have lied in court then he would be facing charges of purgery. The FA was under ever mounting pressure to charge Terry as it had become a lets laugh at England issue with the world looking at England as a tribe of dgeenerate chavs (have to agree there).

    Lets put this in perspective. A news paper is making a story from a private conversation between family members. They dont like Rio, and to be honest why should they. I dont like Rio, I think he’s a despisable cunt, excellent footballer but a nonce nontheless. You have to remember that Rio used his fame to add noise and weight to the Terry Anton issue. If any of you were to go through court would your brother stand in the dock for you or would he be at home boning your girlfriend like any proper brother worth his salt would. Dont forget Rio called Ashley (or laughed and agreed to anothers posters use of the word and thus spread it) a choc ice and was charged for that by the FA. Cole was gracious enough to say he didnt want to take that further, why no credit. If I was a big fat white lass who liked black cock and my son was “racially” abused by another choc ice I think I would laugh at the coin incident, goes without saying. If someone called you a name publically for the world to hear and then got decked by a stranger wouldnt you laugh. I would Id fucking piss on him.

    As for scummy families maybe we should be reminded of a certain Mr Rooneys family. Its about time we as United fans stopped this holier than thou attitude in regards other teams players and families. Ours are just as shite and probably in alot of cases worse. I mean fucking hell our fans come from Gunchester, players from scouseland, fans from all around the world. Fans from families such as holocaust denyers, terrorists, machette wielding bush bastards, propergators of bird flu, rapists, kiddie fiddlers, Mick Hucknell and other various reprobatic scummers. Your view of everyone who supports United as clean living prawn sandwich munchers is a view made up by the press, I know I ate chips, my finger smells of shite and Im just about to go on chatroulette and drop trou to a 10year old. Hoohum.

  57. Scott the Red says:

    Goat Peticoat – When in court, the chief magistrate wasn’t provided with the evidence that shows Cole was a liar. The e-mails showing that Cole changed his story were only provided to the FA, which is why they deemed him to be a liar. Had the chief magistrate seen Cole adding the word “black” to his story a week later he would have likely disregarded Cole’s testimony all together.

  58. Ice Cube says:

    People like them are appearing in increasing numbers in this country.

  59. Goat Peticoat says:

    Scott the Red
    I cannot really coment on the case my friend as the British gutter press doesnt reach these shores or atleast I dont subscribe to them. The case was played no doubt back and fourth in the press to such an extent that a fair verdict was near on impossible anyways. Im not defending Cole rather giving credit where its due (not deciding to go further with chocicegate), not blaming a footballer because of his family (Rooney) – it has to be said the footballers of britain pretty much exclusively come from deprived areas or atleast questionable beginnings where the skillfull little shite has to run the gauntlet of getting to training without being stabbed or bribbed. Its no surprise the families arent much nicer or should I say thiner skinned like we all seem to be, lol. Cole also stuck up for a team mate, isnt that the done thing nowadays anyway. If Cole had grassed on Terry then others would be calling him a grass. Why because hes black/chocice should he have to take the black/chocice side against a team mate when Evra wears the respect tshirt for the good of all the black players but Rio decides not to on a personal crusade. If he doesnt have to be a brother than why should Cole.
    Nice to get a reply from you though fella, thanks for a fantastic blog and have a great christmas.

  60. calebkzh says:

    There are actually still people on Soccernet commenting that Rio deserved what he got because he was provoking City fans. So flawed on so many levels. What have some football “fans” turned into, trying to find ways and means to justify violence. Try going to court and explaining “oh I slashed my missus above the eye. But it’s justified, because she was provoking me by squeezing the toothpaste at the wrong end!”

    I wonder how that pans out! Gosh, a portion of humanity has really lost its humanity.

  61. United Till I Die says:

    Cashley’s mum sounds well classy. All because RIo called her son a sell out haha.

    As for Nani, his goals, assists and ability are leagues above Walcott. The Arsenal player keeps banging on about playing as a Striker, but Nani has the ability to lead the forward line of any Club and be a top scorer getting 20 a season.

    For those scoffing – don’t forget Nani has ALREADY scored 10 goals from wide positions for two seasons running, and he assists even more, despite our rotation system and supporters who don’t really support you.

    You put him in a team as a main man, playing centrally, and he’ll damage any team in Europe, including us. Even his critics have to admit that, so why wouldn’t Arsenal snap him up for (allegedly)130k ? Silva (allegedly) costs 200k ffs!

    Also, Nani is a proper professional despite his amazing natural talent, and he doesn’t sulk or believe his own hype. SO if Ferguson really is selling, you will see Clubs coming out of the woodwork to sign him. Since when do supporters or even managers determine a players true worth anyway?

    Pogba shits on his critics every time he steps out for Juve, so much so many cannot stand to hear his name mentioned haha. United supporters should think on regarding Nani.

    If he joins a team that deploys him more centrally, instead of wasting him on the wing, he’ll score for fun on either foot and assist loads of goals, all with a smile on his face and a humble wage of 130k compared to the top EPL earners who earn nearly double.

    Thanks to a class player like Anderson there to assist him, Nani could’ve scored the last one against Chelski with his fucking eyes closed and you all know it. He’s undeniably class and he’s barely 26.

    SIGN HIM UP FERGIE !!!

  62. Ice Cube says:

    @United till i die

    You’ve made a great arguement for Nani. To be honest i think you’ve talked me round, because I wasn’t that bothered about him leaving. I think I am now. He’s worth a few grand more, that’s for sure.

  63. calebkzh says:

    @United Till I Die, Ice Cube

    TBH I always rated Nani, though he’s definitely one who needs a run of games to get his game form going.

    He has the most natural potential out of our three wing players, and he’s unpredictable. That does have a negative and a positive end to it, naturally, in that sometimes he’s so frustrating because he does things you don’t expect and ruins the run of play.

    But other times, he’s brilliant, and he does things conventional wingers like Young and Valencia will not do. I really hope he does not leave. For what it’s worth, he hasn’t kicked up a fuss and bitched about Fergie like the argie troll, so I hope the boss gives him a second thought. If he’s genuinely injured, i hope he comes back and fights for a place in the squad soon. If he’s frozen out, I really hope the boss reconsiders.

  64. StatesideAussie says:

    Goat … you don’t need to have followed the English papers to understand that Cole lied to the FA. You can get it directly from the FA’s report, which is here:

    http://www.thefa.com/News/governance/2012/oct/~/media/22A83175745E44468105B57232F085B7.ashx

    Look for the section headed “The evolution‟ of Ashley Cole’s evidence”, which starts on Page 46. It explains why the FA did not find Cole’s evidence credible, and it does so in very clear terms. This wasn’t a case of them simply not believeing him because he’s a teammate of Terry. They describe the sequence of the changes in his evidence, point out the inconsistencies, and apply basic commonsense to determine that his evidence was unrealiable — essentially, that he changed his story several times in order to provide “evidence” that supported Terry’s story.

    As someone else pointed out earlier, the FA Commission was able to consider more evidence than the magistrate in Terry’s court case. For reasons that are not clear, some of the statements that were presented to the FA were not presented to the court. The FA’s report goes so far as to suggest that had the magistrate seen those statements, it had “considerable doubt” that the magistrate would still have maintained the view that Cole’s evidence was reliable corroboration of Terry’s story.

  65. WeAreUnited says:

    Thanks for the heads up. I havent read the report and managed to get the first 4 pages done before going stary eyed – bloody tired.
    My points dont dispute what Ive read so far. My points were that the FA shouldnt be allowed to have a kangaroo court like system to charge people for things they are freed from in a higher court. For instance if your charged at a county court you can challenge this and go forward to a crown court then on up the ladder from there. You NEVER get a crown court judgement then challenge in a lower court. There is no juristiction. My problem is if John Terry is found innocent in court then he should NOT be tried in a lower system. There are more resources, educated individuals and vastly more experienced individuals in matters of this kind and some even specialised in a court of law where such a case comes too. The FA are fat dodgy self appointed arseholes that no one has ever had a good word to say about them. It doesnt sit well with me.
    Scott made the statement that the court didnt have the knowledge of Ashley Cole lying or that the evidence he gave was credible. Its a good point, I cant and wont argue against it as I cant, I dont have the courts accounts and to be honest it wasnt the point of my text. I do not believe that JT got off because of the words of Cole. I think he got off because 1, Anton Ferdinand never heard anything, the tv footage was not 100% conclusive (not the shit ive seen all slow motion) and just before Terry said “black cunt” his face was obscurred so the words said cannot be acurately put into context in the sentance.
    This is my slant on it. Im not defending anyone Im just like the courts, not to prepared to hang untill credible and damning evidence is put forward. The court allowed Coles evidence to help the case in Terrys favour both in terms as character reference and as a witness. In the FA trial Coles lying was judged to convict Terry. That is wrong. terry should be judged on what was said, what can be proved to be said and witnesses are just an add on to tip the balance.
    Thanks again for the heads up though mate.

    @United Till I Die

    Well said on the Nani matter.

  70. samuel - united WE stand says:

    Utd till i die – it’s a shame that nani isn’t supported more. I’ll always srick to the notion that nani, at his best, ranks amongst the world class wide men out there. He can single handedly drag a team to victory, those players are difficult to find. I hope united can somehow sort the nani issue out but if not, i’ll look on as he stars for another top team.

  71. StatesideAussie says:

    Goat … no worries mate. I didn’t think you were defending him, btw. I agree that having been found not guilty (or no case to answer, whatever) in a court of law, it seems a little like ‘double jeopardy” to be hauled up before the FA. That said, though, I suppose it’s a bit like what happens in some professions: a court might find that a doctor, lawyer or accountant has no legal case to answer, but the person is still subject to “punishment” by their professional body. When you “sign up” to work under the auspices of such a body, then you are agreeing to be subject to their decisions and to abide by their rulings, so on that basis, I don’t think Terry can have any complaint about it.

    Also, though I am not sure about the UK, in some jurisdictions you may be found not guilty in criminal court but can still be liable in civil court, which may also have different standards etc. Personally, I never quite understood how that isn’t double jeopardy … but then I remember the case of OJ Simpson (who was somehow found not guilty in criminal law but was later “convicted” in civil court), and then I shut up, because that bastard was most definitely guilty!

    Anyway, cheers.

  72. JC says:

    Goat, you’re far off as usual. The FA as with any private organisation is and should be allowed to police their own members. Evidence of criminal conduct is always held to a much higher standard in a criminal court and a verdict must be found beyond a reasonable doubt as opposed to the standards of a civil matter or private tribunal. Evidence that might not be admissible in a criminal proceeding had much greater leeway to be admitted in a civil matter as well. Whether you think it should be is (much like the rest of your opinions) irrelevant.

  73. Marq says:

    Why is it that people still do not understand that Terry was charged by the FA under a different charge than the one from civil court. The FA charged him for abusive language, whole Anton tried to get him for racists abusive. They are different. The lawyers of Anton got it wrong and hence Terry got off. Had the lawyers of Anton went for a more general abusive language charge, they could well have gotten Terry for something.

  74. Proverb says:

    all they miss is just one RVP type player.. bein a United fan i feel soo guilty.. cause i always had a soft spot for Arsenal..

  75. StatesideAussie says:

    Marq … the criminal case against Terry had nothing to do with “Anton’s lawyers”. Criminal cases in the UK are brought by the Crown Prosecution Service, which is a Government service. It is the CPS’s job to decide what charges to lay. They may, as you say, have gotten it wrong, but they obviously felt they had enough evidence to proceed on that charge.

    As noted in the FA’s report, the Chief Magistrate did not have access to the evidence that cast doubt on Cole’s story (or should I say, “stories”). That evidence was not presented to him, because the CPS either didn’t have it (most likely) or chose not to use it. According to the FA’s tribunal, had that evidence been presented to the magistrate, there was every likelihood that the magistrate would have disregarded Cole’s testimony, and in their opinion, that likely have changed the outcome of the court case.

    Lawyers acting for a private party, such as Anton, can’t bring criminal charges, only civil lawsuits.

  76. Marq says:

    @StatesideAussie

    Thanks for the info. The overall picture does not change though, for Anton’s case they went for the jackpot and missed while the FA took a safer approach to make sure Terry couldn’t dispute the charges. All I am saying is the whole idea of Terry getting let off for the court case doesn’t mean anything to the FA charge, because it is a totally different charge. So people need to stop banging on the suggestion that the FA is over-writing the court ruling, which is not true.

  77. Bobby Charlton's combover says:

    @Goat – I don’t see why a professional organisation can’t sanction it’s members regardless of what a court of law says. As an employee of Chelsea and a playing professional in a professinal league, there are standards and codes of conduct to be abided by. If the FA sees fit it has every right to discipline it’s members.

  78. matrixvampire says:

    Ashely definitely a big scumbag of all time. Who can ever cheat so beautiful Cheryl Cole ?

  79. andromeda says:

    That individual phenomenal goal against Chelsea in the Capital one cup should convince Fergie how valuable Nani and how important he is!!!!!again I don’t think we will sell him or swap him for Theo, that would be a blasphemy in my opinion!

  80. AlphaRS says:

    @WeAreUnited
    Nani is not rubbish as some would like you to believe on here. Seems he is appreciated more by fans of the opposition than some of our own.
    He is one of the most skillful and unpredictable players at United. At times he is frustrating consistantly hitting the first man on every corner. The man just needs a good run in the team.

  81. AlphaRS says:

    @andromeda
    I’d rather play Bebe then get Theo Walcott. He is shite. Wants to play as a striker through the middle? At United he wouldn’t even get a look in.

  82. United Till I Die says:

    Cheers lads! and Judging by the latest performance Le Arse need Nani more than we do!

    If Henry and RVP had the talent to go from wingers to strikers, Nani can definitely make the same transition. im hoping the media are adding 2+2 and making 5 here like they normally do. We’d be mugging ourselves letting Wenger make him a better player. The only advantage Walcott would bring is his nationality!
