hey common guys we got one of Serbia´s biggest talent in january and he´s never in the squad. He would be the best player in Sunderland, so im thinking, how is tiredness the excuse when we got 30-40 capable players to win the smaller teams in the league

The 4,5, 6 games we have played more than our rivals makes a HUGE difference! In this day and age, at this level, it’s the difference between althletes being excellent winning a silver or bronze medal, or outstanding winning gold. Fractions. So it is at the top level in football. Those few extra games, the travelling, the effort required to compete against players who are really not far off each other in fitness and ability often brings us back to fractions. But it’s the difference between silver and gold.

I wonder if Fergie didn’t make a big mistake constantly trying to bring the players down to earth when things were going well by warning that ‘football bites you in the bum’. It might not have been complacency that got to them but the gnawing sense of inevitability that the Quintuple was impossible, because Fergie said so. Perhaps he should have just kept quiet.

Yeah,as if 2 games in 3 weeks last season wasn’t bad enough!I think that APril is a good time to peak.You can get a rush that will take you over the last 2 months.One good example is the United team of 02-03.But Liverpool didn’t peak.They got a run of games where everything fell their way.But hopefully this will shaken them up like the 4-1 defeat did to us.To be honest Chelsea were a hell of a lot more emphatic yesterday than Liverpool were at OT.

We are so close in the FA cup yes and i do love that cup its got such a good history, but wemberly is a tiring pitch its ridiculous the semi’s will be played there but we are in with a good shout of winning that as we’re so close.

The only positive from us playing poorly while our rivals play well is maybe they have peaked to soon? if we can get back on track again we will tear teams apart again and then maybe more trophies will be picked up.

Red Manc think about it like this.The FA cup has 2 games left.And we do have the easiest draw so why not make the most of it?And another thing i gave thought about.In the final it will be Chelsea or Arsenal and there is a possibility one of those teams will have played the Ch.League final just 3 days before.If we are not in the Ch.League final,then that will be extra rest for us for a change.Or it could be 2 United-Chelsea finals in 3 days,dear god!Anyway,it’s not so much a belief on my part as it is wishful thinking.First thing is first.Starting from Sunderland,we become fluent again.

Costas if we win the domestic treble this season mate, i will come on here and find you and thank you for having the belief haha.
Obviously i want it aswell but i just think after winning the double we are lacking motivation, i saw it happen after we won the Treble in 1999 although we won titles after it we just didnt seem the same side as before.
This season we’ve already got the Carling cup in the bag if we can atleast win the Premier league anything else to me will be a bonus.

Barcelona look unstoppable at the moment they have a great attacking side but they are yet to face a tough team yet in my opinion, they have weakness’s but its just wether anyone is confident enough or tactically clever enough to challenge them.

Personally Red Manc,i want the domestic Treble.We have been level on 3 doubles with Arsenal for too long now.As fr as the Ch.League is concerned,i don’t think even CQ’s tactics could help with this Barcelona.I think Chelsea will give them their strongest test this season and this could say a lot about them.

If we didn’t have this injuries the goal to win all 5 wouldn’t have been that ridiculous.
There is a chance for us not to shine in Sunderland game with the same players because they are tired. And i doubt that Fergie has put Premier League ahead of the CL for example. These are the theories but the game against Sunderland is the best chance to give our first-teamers a break. Leve them on the bench.

I agree with you about the CL defense, i think its going to have to be one or the other this year, if we win the Premier league title i doubt we’ll have it left in us to win the Champions league its tough enough already but when you think we’ve been battling it out all year for the title, the trip to Japan and the Carling cup run/FA cup by the time the final comes round if we actually get there will we have it in us to retain our crown? Fergie isnt the best for tactics in europe this is were Quieroz helped us, can anyone really see Phelan having any helpful input if we face the likes of Barca. Can we retain the CL? i hope so but it would be a MASSSIVEE (city pun intended) achievement if we did.

All this ‘we are going to win all 5′ was ridiculous from the start although we have a fantastic squad its still a squad of humans who need a rest.

I hope we pick up as many trophies as possible but the league is the most important so i definatly wouldnt want the likes of Fabio and co being risked in a league game we need to win these matches, our youth should be played in the FA cup games.
