Sir Alex – XXV

Mancunia Merchandise is proud to announce a partnership with The Christie, one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe. Every month there will be a sponsored t-shirt and all profits from that will go to The Christie, who treat about 40,000 patients each year. Bearded Genius is the man behind the designs, all of which are outstanding.

The t-shirts are available for £8.70 ($13.40) although because they have to be shipped from America, the p&p takes the overall price to around £17 for deliveries to Europe (more on p&p). The shop ships to: UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, China, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Japan.

You can obviously donate to The Christie without purchasing a t-shirt, so go on, get on with it.

It was Reading ’96 and it was a disaster. :)

Ha ha, agree about the singing, but I love them so much I don’t care. I just want to see Ian and John together again. Fantastic first album, a truly great Mancunian band. Probably one of the best ever.

96 it was … my bad!

Yep. Best of the best. Don’t quite match up to the Smiths for me, but shit all over those fucking Berties Oasis.

At least the Stone Roses realised when they’d run out of ideas. One seminal album, one (to my mind) fucking brilliant follow-up, and they’re done. With no lapse in quality.

Oasis – 3 or 4 semi-decent efforts and the rest a crock of shite.

Couldn’t agree more with you. Still listen to “This Is the One” every time before kick off. :)

If Fergie completes 30 years at the club, XXX will have a whole new meaning…

King Eric -I have only seen him on TV , he just does things that are impossible to get your head around, like you say the best that’s ever been.

Good one. :) I have always been surprised at how many LFC fans think that in “Mersey Paradise” Ian sings “Liverpool’s where I belong”, when in fact he sings “River cools where I belong”. I’ve always thought it was a friendly dig at Liverpool. :)
