Smalling Out For Ten Weeks

Chris Smalling has been ruled out for a further ten weeks with a broken metatarsal having just recovered from a thigh injury.

He is likely to miss the opening six league games of the season and his injury will be felt for heavily because Jonny Evans will still be recovering from an operation.

Very sorry for the lad. He’s our third best defender imho, after Vidic and Ferdinand. Hopefully Vidic will be back soon and Smalling’s absence won’t be felt tot keenly.

I did say we would have another injury crisis in defence. God damn season hasn’t even started yet and 2012 already brings us Defensive Injury Crisis IV

  4. Fred says:

NRD maybe it was your pessimism that caused the injury crisis. Law of attraction and all that. Just putting it out there…

I said it too Notorious. Lets be fair here.

Smalling has the talent to succeed Rio and it’s something that should start happening soon. But there’s always some kind of setback for him. His head, tonsilitis, the groin, the metatarsal, his ass…

  6. Fred says:

    His ass?! LOL

  7. Zibbie says:

Kebab, sever hemeroidel trouble is no laughing matter. Tucks medicated pads that put out ass fires for most, has no effect on him. Big bloody dangling nerve ends out the assss!!!!!!!!!

I think Costas knows something we don’t about Smalling!
