Smalling’s Stitches Came Open

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Chris Smalling’s stitches, from his injury whilst on International duty, came undone during last night’s defeat to Athletic Bilbao. He is now a risk for Sunday’s game against West Brom, who have an excellent away record.

“Rio is such a great player and he has great experience,” he said. “It depends on Chris Smalling. His stitches came open in the first half. We thought we’d patched them up at half time but they came open again. It’s a possibility. I will maybe gamble with a couple on Sunday for Thursday’s game.”

I thought Chrissy Smalls was gonna pass out- colour drained out of his face when he trudged off bless him-I knew exactly how he felt after I stacked it pre-kick off down the steps in the Amsterdam Arena last month- 6 full steps- arse over tit- shocking pain plus, looking like a right toolbag- I subsequently spent the first 20 minutes sweating my bollocks off on the verge of a pass out- a full fat coke and a massive log drop off in the toilet sorted me out.

I just hope Chrissy was able to curl one out pre-faint.

    Fucking love Chris Smalling.

He won’t gamble the league for anyting. Ferdinand will start with Evans. Then Jones and Smalling will start on Thursday.

Too soon wasn’t it? Give the guy 7-10 days off to propely heal.

You guys are crazy!!!! That’ s why I love this team and its fans. On a sad note…one of the hostages killed in Nigeria was a fan (pictured wearing a Utd shirt). Very sad but best wishes to the families.

The Face and Skin stitches could be undone after 7 days..That is the time required for the heeling process.

  8. Saad says:

The medical staff clearly forgot their Hippocratic oath. They mustve known that every header that Chris went off wouldve stretched the skin and eventually they’d give away.

    Frackin’ irresponsible.

Clayton Blackmores Tan – quality mate. Sure it wasn’t the local produce which sent you over the edge. I was there and it was certainly a heavy few days

Ha ha ha. The med team forgot their oaths?. That’s so funny isn’t It? If u ask me, I dnt tink it was d med team dat selected d players to play, or were they? Cant be so sure cause d starting 11 was so distorted it could have been my grandmum dat made d selection.
