Hmmm...interesting read,Scott.didnt know about this news until i stumbled on here. I still think that our relationship with Sporting is healthy and both parties would not want to do anything to jeopardize it.Well maybe Sir Alex or his scouts do not rate him highly as he would have probably been signed already at an age of 18 maybe.I'm pretty sure Sporting have loads of up and coming talent that will catch the eyes of our scouts who have their sleeping tents at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

CR and (hopefully) Nani will prove to be hard acts to follow. It's never easy when your predecessors have done so well, just ask all those next 'Peles' and 'Maradonas'.

Persoanlly I wish the guy luck, he's young and hopefully he makes it a decent player. Somehow if your young and talented then joining Chelsea (or some other big teams) will not neccessarily help you. Utd (and grudgingly Arsenal) have a track record of making champions out of young talented players.

It could of been worse for the player he could of joined Liverpool. After all the spanish side of the NW England has only ever won the premiership zero times. :-)
So it must be a case of second best portugeeze, utd have the best portugeezes already.
