Hmmm… Scholesy stat needs putting into context, really. For about 10 minutes at the end of that game, he was playing just in front of the back 4 and exchanging countless passes with them which went entirely unchallenged by Blackburn, who had settled for the point.

Berbatov one of our top performers together with Nani, Vidic, VDS, Chicha and Giggs this year. No doubt about it! And you have to give Berba (and nani) credit for playing their best when the team was playing poorly. My stance on Berbatov has been, and will allways be, that he is class when used right – and extremely frustraiting to watch when not.
Had it not been for Chicha getting the best out of Wazza, Berba should start more often (at least at home!)

Costas, I always thought Tevez’s first touch throughout his 2 years with us was as poor as Rooney this season between Aug – Feb. He scored some useful goals, but any player who snubs the club over money deserves no memories.
To be honest, even Hernandez’s first touch and passing in general has room for improvement. But somehow, he can find the team and the team can find him. That’s the synergy of a team, and not something slotting in the reported best players can achieve. Not that they have the best players anyway, but just ask City. I reckon the players can be swapped and still Ferguson would have done better than 4th, and Mancini would almost definitely not be able to top the league.
