I’d go with too much time on your hands.

  2. fergie is the boss says:

the BBC reporter who usually commentates on the games, well someone said that he thinks chico will be one of the worlds best players come the 2014 world cup. When we moan we are not buying big, that dark cloud has always go a silver lining. And that silverlining is? javier hernandes

  3. fergie is the boss says:

  4. Corea says:

Just heard rumours Buffon already in search of a house in Manchester and he is heading to United in January.. mmmm.. hope that’s true. but January ?

  5. willierednut says:

Hernandez = Value in the market?

  6. fergie is the boss says:

Corea – I bet its shitty he is going to LOL

  7. waazzaa says:

Not bad. But Salomon Kalou has got 5 goals on 255 minutes. Do the maths.

fergie is the boss – of course)) but hope dies last))) lol

  9. fergie is the boss says:

Corea – buffon would be the dream ticket and at a perfect age of 32, he has all the experience in the business. PPL forget we signed VDS when he was 35. if buffon arrives and he looks after himself he could do the business for united for 7 or more years. schmeicheal arrived at united when he was 30 so it shows, buy older keepers and the rewards are much more successful.

I hate these type of rumours, house hunting seems something a drunken fan would email to talk radio stations

  10. Corea says:

fergie is the boss – i think you might be right in both paragraphs.

  13. StatesideAussie says:

Sayyid … there’s some merit to your line-up, though I would try Berba up-front as a rear-facing forward to bring the others into play … but then again, that could just be the tired mumblings of my jet-lagged brain :-) Finding a way to get all four on the field at the same time is a challenge but one that, if achieved, could pay off handsomely … and I suspect that with all four together, whatever the nominal formation, they could chop and change around in the flow of things anyway. Cheers!

  14. redevil forever says:

hey we all hate rooney now but we cant for the next 5 years he apologized and he is a united player as far i am concerned ok he s money grabbing but so is 95 per cent of players but agree about him having to earn his place in the starting 11

  15. Fred says:

I’d love to see Buffon at United but there’s a good reason why people call TribalFootball “TribalBollocks”

I won’t be ordering my “Buffon 1″ shirt just yet, though I have booked an appointment at a tattoo parlour for Saturday. I’m thinking a picture of Buffon in our shirt, holding the European Cup aloft, being hugged by Owen Hargreaves and Gabriel Obertan. Underneath: “GIGI BUFFON, MUFC LEGEND”

On topic though, Chicharito – who remembers the day we signed him and I was going nuts with excitement? I knew he was the real thing, it was obvious from his YouTube clips alone! I’m so happy he has become an instant hero here. Turns out there is some “value” in the transfer market after all. I hope none of you have given up on Bebe yet. ;-)

  16. StatesideAussie says:

@Fred: I saw Chicharito in the pre-season matches and came to the same conclusion then. And no, I haven’t given up on Bebe yet. Not expecting much from him this year, or next year maybe. But eventually…

  17. RedScot says:

“our new signings” I was looking for someone else, ohhh i am slow on the uptake.
I guess in defence of Wayne its all about confidence in front of goal.
The stats do show though for all the shouting about Tevez its more bluster than fact.
I bet Willie had that information when the Citeh fan was trying to annoy everybody over the fact we dont want Rooney we are happy with Tevez.

I bet they will all be looking with envy and if only we had found Javier,we could have saved ourselves the best part of 30Million squids.
But its a drop in the huge ocean they have already forked out, on the various butchers and has been they have.

Although I would like Nigel De Jong at United, as the actor dearies say before the show, break a leg.

  18. FletchTHEMAN says:

There are three facts in football,
    i. Quality, graft and injuries define a season.
ii. Don’t get the tattoo until after the first 10 seasons (players and fans alike)
iii. We still have SAF on our team.

This season, we also need to factor in our own backstabbing traitorous scouser.
But would still like to say, WR is still our own, and 1-3 still apply!

  19. RedScot says:

@Fletch, hi there mate, on the tattoo’s is it hard to have them removed?
I have got “19 and counting ” on my @ss is that ok.
Should I keep it on? or will it be ok come May?

  20. Tannor says:

all I can say is Chicha is a goal scorer. it doesn’t matter which part of the body he scores with……early days though for the praisea but he will come good at the end. MU 4 LIFE

  21. FletchTHEMAN says:

    @RedScot, HA HA HA HA………………………

AH, seems you were using your head mate and your heart. You had followed a success that was 19 years in the making. Completely in line with fact 2! And fairly sound in my view ;)

Fact #2 is meant to guide our actions in judgments which have no basis in current fact. Such as statements like “Rooney, Manchester City Legend”, or Buffon United #1. As with many “facts”, all will be revealed!

  22. FletchTHEMAN says:

Breaking news: According to Gill, United wage structure is now 50% of turnover, and Rooney will not break the bank. But this is STILL the lowest in the Prem. Astonishing!

    As quoted on ESPN:
“I’m not concerned by that as ever since we have been a public company we have had a policy that wages should be 50% or less of turnover,” Gill said.
“We believe we can do that and still retain and attract the stars we need on the pitch. We think that’s the sensible model. Clubs have other models – that’s their prerogative. Each to their own.”
United have managed to match Chelsea on the pitch in terms of silverware since Roman Abramovich took over at Stamford Bridge and Gill insisted that the club have “remained competitive”.
United’s latest financial figures earlier this month revealed that the club’s wage bill is £131.7 million. Chelsea’s is £142 million, City’s £133.3 million and Arsenal are fourth with £110 million spent annually on salaries.
United’s total wages are 46% of turnover – the lowest ratio among Premier League clubs. Arsenal have the next lowest ratio on 49% while City spend more on wages than their total revenue.

  23. RedScot says:

@ Fletch, lol cheers for that, generally my heart, occasionally my head if i can find it and its not up my arse.
its tongue in cheek my little pop, the 19 thing.
Anyways i am not blogging with you ever again. You did not answer my question.
Buffon, ffs to me thats some sort of eedjit.
    Be lucky mate.

  24. weeeeldrinkadrinkadrink says:

For those looking for a Chicharito song, how about reworking the Abba classic Chiquitita?
    Score another goal Chicharito!

  25. RedScot says:

@ Fletch well serious here now, the stats prior to the Rooney saga for wage’s as a percentage of turnover was 42%. there is the damage that has been done. As I said on another blog and the agents thread on here, more damage than can be imagined as been created here.
we dont want to be seen as a city, for topping up players pensions.

  26. FletchTHEMAN says:

    @ RedScot, 21:21
Right, sorry for that. Keep it on. Even if it a short term embarrASSment.
I’ll put money on it coming good again in another 20years time! For several of those, you will look to be the profit himself.
    Cheers

  27. FletchTHEMAN says:

Same story now on the Guardian:
United lowest spending team as a % of turnover.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/oct/25/manchester-united-city-david-gill

  28. RedScot says:

@Fletch to me a simple lad, that cant be sustained.
I looked at the figures on a great blog, the political economy of football ages ago.We are not the lowest as a % from recall.
To me he will be “sorted out” got back to playing superbly and scoring regularly. Then sold.
Oherwise united are going to have a whole range of players knocking via thier agents at the Gills door, I want my player comparable to Rooney.
As I said why cant Hernadez immediately command a huge wage?
Anyways Fletch thanks for the up date on Gill that snake.

  29. Dave Mack says:

Fergie referred to Gill last week as a”brilliant” CEO but Red Scott knows better!

(Must be some special insight you get in the Highlands of Scotland.)

  30. RedScot says:

@Dave Mack i do know better, I support United. I want the best for my club.
I read information supplied to me on great blogs like this…… Do you?
No need to get personal regards my location. Is that the best you can do?
Mate also i dont care for the political comment of people. Do you understand the basic facts.
Trust me you are playing with the wrong Scot.
As an example your glorious owners in the meantime have abdicated the opportunity to “Steal” from united there entitlement of in excess £IOO Million..
They will through the agreements they have placed in there corrupt deals.
Let me ask you Dave, what have the Glazer done for United?

  31. Dave Mack says:

Red Scott ….we’re never going to agree about ownership issues so lets agree to disagree on that.

What I was poking fun at is that you seem to think you know more than a certain Glasgow native who loves this club at least as much as you profess to and who’s nobodies pupett.

What I don’t like about your posts are they constantly take a dig at this great clubs management structure (which imo is second to none worldwide) implying coruption and cover up by the manager and CEO.

Sad to say, the ABU’s must love United supporters like you.

  32. RedScot says:

@Dave Mack, start from the point of calling people on here “idiots”. We are all United supporters agreed?.
No we wont agree about the ownership.
When have I ever questioned Sir alex, I know more about than him than you can possibly imagine.
He is being curtailed I think because of the Glazer, thats my opinion.
Fuck off my posts take a dig at this great club, what planet are you on. I support manchester united, I give more credit to the players than most. I love united.
I saw sickos adding comments on here earlier regards Paul. to me thats stupid

Wrong, abu’s, totally opposite. I cant continue with this . You made a statement. I asked you a question what have the Glazer done for UNITED?
You simply cant imagine what i think of United, its my life

  33. RedScot says:

Aye but some people never quite get the basic fact, the bastards to date have milked united for a mere £450 million,(interest) great eh, with more and sure to be “banked, for themselves in excess of £100 million pounds.
Lets keep the Glazer, as Dell boy says”you know it makes sense”

  34. Dave Mack says:

@Red Scott. …. Who called anybody here an idiot?

Take a look at your posts and see how often they use words like “lie” “steal” “corruption” “snake” and imply wrong doing and cover up by Gill and /or Fergie.

I have been going to OT since Matt Buby was our manager and Best, Law, Charlton entertained us. Sir Bobby and Paddy Crerand are still actively involved in the club and no man has ever been more deserving of trust than Alex Ferguson. He’s earned that over 24 years. So whether we agree with his team selections, tactics, transfer policy or not is neither here nor there but suggesting he would actively cover up wrong doing or lie to make the owners look good is beyond the pale.

Finally, re-read your 23:50. What gives you the right to say that you ” do know better” than Fegie regarding what sort of quality CEO Gill is?

    Good Night.

  35. RedScot says:

@Dave Mack Bonsoir darling. maybe when you read the facts you will get on board.
Night reds all of us, I got a inftable doll in the shape of Wayne rooney to hump.
    aint you jealous. lmao

  36. musvn says:

I’m not surprised about his header ability. I could see his super spring through some compilations even before he came. However, it does surprise me when he settles pretty quick. I thought it will take him at least until after Christmas to actually make any impact like he did as of the moment. Now I am excited of him. Really like the way he plays his football.

  37. Macheda the Messiah says:

    Told my mate,
    the other day,
that I found the new white Messi.

He said who, who is he.
I said he goes by the name of Little Pea.

  38. shebangsthedrums says:

@ FletchTHEMAN – I don’t see a problem with that article. I’d rather us keep our wages to managable levels. You have to remember, our turnover is much higher than that of Chelski, Citeh and Arsenal, so 46% equates to more than 46% of their turnover. Chelsea and Cities buisness models are unsustainable, is that what you really want. We’ve never been the highest payers as far as I can remember. When Martin Edwards was chairman, we had a wage cap, that’s why Shearer went to Blackburn. I’m by no means a Glazer fan, I wish, like most others, we didn’t have them as owners, but we’ve always been a very well run buisness and that needs to continue, whatever anyone else is doing.

  39. veek says:

just curious, any idea what little mickey’s stats are? i’m thinking its like 30 minutes a goal or something

  40. ulse h. says:

chicharito vale 4 veces mas a lo q lo compraron

  41. jayunited says:

far gud dan any one has tot of him to be. Now left to SAF to decide. VIVA litl pea
