Hehehehehehe.
what a fantastic read that post was
won of your best you’ve ever wrote scott
amazing
I have said before whilst discussing Tevez he has teriffic workrate but his shooting leads alot to be desired! The guy just wasnt composed enough and because he was running all over the pitch i usually defended him and it didnt bother me!
There have been quite a number of Supporters who have slated the Michael Owen signing!
Every time Owen played and had a sniff of a chance he was slated because he didnt convert!
For me, Every team that Michael Owen has plaed for he always has had a strike rate of 1 goal every 2 games!
Cant argue with that!
ghtt

Morning everyone!
@GHTT: Get well soon man! I loved your Bellamy comment!
SO what is Tevez worth? 25mil? 47mil? Fort Knox? Micky Owen’s left testicle? The choice is yours.
I have a Jack Russell Terrier. His work rate is awesome but he has not scored as many goals as Michael Owen but then again he has scored more than tevez and didnt cost 26million quid.
Oh, and he is loyal.
@ghtt – Get well soon mate.
aig – i meant for this season
btw -compare that owen
CROoney
if you are comparing with owen i think logically we should wait for some more games rather than making assumptions on these few games with berba.
But owen is injury prone and nearly 30 now so he cant be expected to start every game>berba is much more fitter than owen
@aig
agreed owen wont have a look in for most of the games but for whatever chances he gets if he keeps doing stuff like this then it’ll be hard for SAF to keep him out..
aig-
lol – berba is nearly 30 too
we should wait a couple of more games ?
lol – this article is based on a few matches this season …
now i find very hypocritical laughing to players from oher clubs and compare them to our sub when wethat same sub has better stats then the most expensive purchase in our history
*that same sub
CROoney
berbas fitness is much better than Owens and that is a fact.Owen will get his chances as the season goes on.he has to be patient. If he performs like this though he may even become a regular but given his injury problems he can play only one game a week.
Let the season go on its only 6 games and i feel a bit premature to make any conclusions.
Teves won’t help shitty win anything this season.
aig – that’s not the point at all
the point is how we can make any conclusions about owen and tevez and yet berbatov can’t be compared…see the hypocracy there ?
of course we can’t make any conclusions – this whole article is irrelevant ffs
The chance Tevez missed was a sitter. Owen on one leg would have burried that chance. Tevez is a player with limited ability and skill and he tries to compensate for that by giving more than 100% on the field. And he isn’t worth 25million pounds for sure. Owen while playing for Newcastle had a better record that Tevez for us at the same time.
I do believe Tevez will be playing for City’s Reserve team when Ade-the-whore, Robinio, Santa Cruz etc are back as Bellemy showed yesterday he is a much better finisher that Tevez, so i do think that Bellemy will be above Tevez in the list of strikers for City. I think we will see Tevez crying again for not having enough playing time come Feb-march.
CROoney
The reason Tevez and Owen are being compared is because people said during the summer that how can we replace Tevez with a free agent whose career is over.Berba was already there so he cant be considered.owen is new and naturally will be compared to the striker who has left the club. All the mocking when we signed owen atleast has been silenced to some extent now.The Comparision is also because we did not want to pay trhose 25 million and instead went for a free agent who is being paid the basic wages.
Berba is finding form.he’s got to stay at centre forward like he did yesterday, then he’ll get more chances. Rooney is zidane. Owen is nzaghi. Fletcher ”is on drugs” ??? What a revelation! Watch out for an Owen hat-trick in carling cup.
what ? someone actually mocked at us for signing owen ?
even Mr Liverpool admited it was a masterstroke
everyone who knows anything about football knows what a class owen is…his record speaks for himself
btw -owen is better player than berba and tevez put together
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article2514475.ece
http://www.fansfc.com/story/14054.html
Look at what the cunt cascarino says and the cooments in the first story.People have mocked us all the way for taking gamble on a free striker who was injured all the way at newcastle and could not save them from relegation.
CROoney
Tony Cascarino is well known for his forthright punditry nowadays, which is all well and good; but on the subject of Michael Owen, he may be going a bit over the top.
I reckon Owen’s risen to the occasion enough times in his career to be described as a “big game player”. So often has he done this that I won’t bore you with citing all the examples when Owen has defied his critics with goals!
Nevertheless, Cas reckons Owen will be a “passenger” when the going gets tough.
Cas told footballpools.com: “My only doubt is his impact on United’s team play.
“Owen is not really a team player; he is more of a predator.”
“He is an individual and certainly doesn’t fit into United’s ‘team’ ethic.
“I can see Michael getting goals in the easier games, scoring against the likes of Burnley but I have serious doubts about the impact he will make on the edgier games against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
“In the tight affairs he will be more of a passenger, having little input into the team play which may well cost them.”
I’ve got to say I think these comments are grossly unfair. Owen has done it against big teams before, so why should he stop now?
Providing Owen stays injury-free, I predict he’ll score at least 20 goals…and guess what, I reckon about 5 will be against top class opposition!
Owen has proved this cunt wrong for sure
“CROoney Said,September 21st, 2009 @11:38 btw -owen is better player than berba and tevez put together”
I don’t think so. I think Berba is class. He will come good for us.
Owen is by far better than teves
Good thing you didn’t compare him with Berbatov. Tevez is a spoiled kid BUT he is a good footballer, you can’t deny that. Good thing he didn’t bother showing up for the second half because in the first he was brilliant.
CROoney
I don’t know where you get your crack/pcp/has/acid or basically any of your mind altering substances, but I would advise you lay off them a bit. Berbatov is immense and should have had a couple of goals yesterday, and a few against Tottenham. I can understand your obvious ‘man love’ for Owen at the moment, as we all share the same sentiments, but don’t get carried away by making silly statements like that!
Owen is more than teves replacemen, he’s asupersurb.
whos that man from argentina,
whos that money grabin whore,
carlos tevez is his name,n he got no fukin brain,
and he WONT b winin trophies anymore
ALL TOGETHER NOW………….. HAHA
Mugazz – lol “berbatov’s immense” and “he should have scored” a couple the other day and a few against spurs
well he’s one for you – class WOULD HAVE scored ! you shot yourself in the foot with that one…berbatov’s an ok player, but he’s not class…
owen’s proved himself in the strongest clubs -and before you mention his real “flop” keep in mind that he was very good there too, just as huntelaar was – their only problem was that they weren’t flashy
CROoney mate,
I am not going to get in an argument with you about who is the better player out of Berbatov and Owen. Berbatov would have scored 2 yesterday if it weren’t for Given, who for my money, has been consistently amongst the best 3 keepers in the premiership for the last 10 years. I know he should have scored against Tottenham, but in no way does that detract from how good he is.
You are working on the premise that little Micky Owen is defintely going to score at every oppurtunity he gets, and we both know that is not the case.
It’s pointless to speculate, but I can only hope you will see Berbatov in a different light at the end of the season, and fully appreciate what he brings to the team.
CRooney is having gay crush on Tevez…theres nothing stat, fact or realistic u gave can convince him that berbatov is class and argentine cunt was not in his league…
@CRooney
” what ? someone actually mocked at us for signing owen ?
even Mr Liverpool admited it was a masterstroke”
good mate owen was class and masterstroke transfer by fergie
“everyone who knows anything about football knows what a class owen is…his record speaks for himself ”
you are condemning Berbatov in all your post…regarding your above statement does Ferguson state repeatedly that Berbatov was a class player…
so Fergie doesnt know about football based by on your criticising on Berbatov…
its ok to be biased but to make stupid biased is embarassing…please
while it took a few days to sink in about little mickey, i then sat and had a think and realised that owen can quite easily replace tevez 15 goals a season,i know he scored sum important goals but then again guys wasnt that? alls tevez had to offer was ruuning around like a head-less chicken, well hes in the right place for that. wev shown character 2 games in a row but need to tighten up in defence. league n champions league winners this season and we,l take the fa cup for gud measure! SPARKY………. THATS WHY WE,RE CHAMPIONS
LEAVE BERBATOV ALONE AND GET BEHIND HIM,HES CLASS JUST LIKE EVRY OTHER PLAYER IN OUR SQUAD. SUPPORT NOT CRITISISE YEA.
criticism is good sometime…but to criticised player like Berbatov when he having a great game is stupid…
Berba missed 3 sitters and could have converted yet a couple
Owen needed 1, and what class
We all know who the better footballer is, and its not Owen.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA
I JUST CANT STOP SHOUTING!!!
SAF ACTUALLY MADE A VERY WISE DECISION BY LETTING TEVEZ GO AND BRINGING IN MICHAEL OWEN A WORLD CLASS FINISHER MORE THAN TEVEZ CAN EVER BE, IF TEVEZ IS THAT HARD WORKING HOW COME HIM AND MESSI DID NOT WORK SO HARD TO BEAT BRASIL AT THEIR OWN SOIL….TEVEZ HARD WORKING MY ASS.
BERBA IS A WORLD CLASS PLAYER AND NOTHING CAN EVER CHANGE THAT SO ALL U SCOUSERS PRETENDING A LIFE U BETA GO GET A LIFE AND LET THE TRUE REDS SUPPORT THEIR PLAYERS COS ALL UNITED PLAYERS ARE WORLD CLASS HATE IT OR LOVE IT THATS A BIG FAT FACT U DIG.
fooart9 – define what did he do to make you think he had a “great game “…. if he had a great game, then what giggs had ? i’m not even gonna mention fletch
if cocking up 3 sitters makes you branded to have a great game than carlos tevez had the best game – he fucked up one sitter and set up a goal
fooart9 – ferguson also thought djemba Djemba was a great player…
whether he’s great player or not is irrelevant – the question is does he fit in the system and did he justify all the trust…just like Veron – only Veron at the time was rated amoung the best if not the best CMF in the world – the entire waorld was after him , – milan, real, us – and the fact is that the only ones who wanted Berba besides us were the only ones the wanted pretty much everything that had 2 feet
CROoney – your anti-Berbatov obsession is very bizarre. We get it, you don’t like the guy. How odd to keep banging on about the same points over and over and over agian though. Why not put more time and energy in to praising the players you do like?
GHTT- Get well soon mate, best wishes
I wish Hughes can read it
