    First
    Come on United!

  2. MG says:

Our problems this season have been two fold

    1. Clearly we have fucked up away – which is a mystery whichever way you look at it

    2. Injuries have hampered our midfield – especially the wing department and with Nani getting injured we are all holding our breath again

    3. Rooney

Wait I said two fold not three fold lol ;)

  3. MG says:

    Third?

  4. MG says:

Thanks Scott for the new thread ;)

  5. MG says:

Is this a one man thread?

  6. MG says:

I have it under control all is calm all is good

    ;)

  7. MG says:

    United have to regroup

They have to get rid of the individual errors – that is the first and most important thing to do

Fuck the officiating – if that’s how it’s going to be we’ll have to just work harder period

Do not listen to what anyone is saying – who gives a shit – I’ll be worried the day we fuck it up not having the chance to win it – until then we carry on

  8. MG says:

They will tell you that we are breaking

Are we – if we are breaking then why is everyone against us?

    Why the stupid decisions?

Why the press hatred against Rooney but nothing today?

    Why nothing on Nani’s injury?

They are breaking – the truth is what is in front of you – they want to cause doubt – losing is fine – it’s how you respond – they want to cloud that belief that we cannot respond – they do not own us – we own us

If we have fucked up then we’ll put it right – so we admit we have fucked up and that is the end of that – everyone can fucking bark and shout how far and how wide they want – it doesn’t mean nothing to us

We’ll stand up and be counted for and tell all of you to fuck off.

  9. Raizzen says:

lol well hello there MG. Hows life being on top 7 all by yourself mate ?

You know looking at the stats, we arent doing so bad against the top 6 didnt we ? That Liverpoo thinggy I’d like to think of it as just a one-off.

Unless we allow it to mess us up. I think I can see us lifting that 19th trophy to wipe the snouts off the Scousers cunts.

  10. MG says:

    Liverpool had their fun yesterday

Take it – grin and bear it

We made our mistakes and mistakes were made against us

We are not running out of time

    We have time

Time will heal if you give it long enough to.
    Just Believe

  11. eddieTheRed says:

Fair play to you Scott; stats put it all into perspective!

  12. Born an Bred a RED says:

Hahaha MG you are a joker “is this a 1 man thread” No this isn’t but you’ve basically just said what everyone was going to say anyway but you have this blog wrapped up. Well done MG keep it up

  13. MG says:

Hello Raizzen and their was I thinking I’m going to have a top 10 all by myself :)

We just need to click – we are hurt – we are in a corner – and we have to respond

Now either you sit back down and give it up or you stand up and fight

That’s all I want my team to do is fight

  14. Briggsy says:

I feel quite bad to interrupt MG talking to himsel :)

Yesterday was the most depressing game I’ve seen in a long while. Hopefully it will be the kick up the arse we needed. If I remember the last time we won the league we lost 4-1 to the freaks and then went on to win it. Hopefully that will be the same this year.

I really think because of the injuries we’ve had, playing Chelsea than Liverpool in a week was too much. We look knackered on Tuesday night and the squad was pretty much the same on Sunday.

Just hoping the cup game on Saturday will see us come back to life. When Anderson, Park, Rio, Vidic and Valencia come back, I’m hoping to see a different United.

  15. MG says:

    I was so close!

Never mind – the world is a better place when your fellow Reds join the show.

  16. theboogeyman says:

Interesting stats to shove in the face of idiots who say we bottle it in the big games.

    Hi MG.

  17. Briggsy says:

The thing I find really funny about all the press and critics, amongst other things, is that they say we are breaking, falling apart, a shadow of a team we used to be. Then what does that say about the rest of the teams in the league as we sit top!

I could just see it know. We’re lifting our 19 league trophy and all the hacks are saying this is the worst team to ever win it. Well hey, you can only beat the shower of shit that is presented in front you.

  18. MG says:

    Thanks Briggsy – I get that a lot :)

    G’day theboogeyman

    ;)

  19. Raizzen says:

Went to my workplace today just to receive all kinds of mockeries from bandwagoners and dippers alike. No wonder us United fans are brothers in arms. It cant be helped since everybody wanna beat us – even the neutrals are happy that we lost.

It cant be helped but us against the world. (and of course we won many a times too in the process :P )

  20. Briggsy says:

I’m actually getting that desperate to win the 19th title that I’m hoping we get knocked out the Champions League so have less games to play. Is that bad?

  21. Born an Bred a RED says:

    @ MG

Haha unclucky about not being the only one to comment on the blog, but wouldn’t you be worried if you were, the banter on here is unlike no other. I really like this site, forgive the late reply blackberrys are incredibly annoying when your on sites that need to be constantly refreshed.

  22. MG says:

I’d we worried about not talking to Costas about kebabs and women

    :)

    Where else does one start?

Everyone knows who they are – couldn’t do it without all of them

  23. Gorse Hill Red says:

We will have all our main players soon. Valencia, Park, Vidic and Ferdinand and all will make a huge difference to the team. Just hope Nani is OK, no news on his injury yet.
Confident we can claim 19 in May. Come on Reds.

  24. wayne says:

@Briggsy things are ok, should never wish utd to lose a game,i’ve repeated this on several threads, utd were coming off 5games in 15 days,4 on the bounce and had 8 regulars out not sure what is expected of this team, everything will be fine international break coming up get some bodies back and finish the season strong.

  25. mufc4life says:

toni v fit again :) hell be a big boost to the team, maybe with him back onda wings assisting rooney once again we myt see the same wayne as last year..

  26. Costas says:

    28th!

  27. mattbw7 says:

I cant imagine any team of ours that goes to Anfield shorn of the people already mentioned getting a result, am I alone in thinking that some of the calamatous play reminded me of West Ham away in the Carling Cup, yes it was that shoddy. Brown is a good servant but with our two centre backs looking like strangers it affected the shape of the team, then Nani goes off and we are up against a side who where clearly up for it.

Well hopefully Rio, Park & Valencia should be back and Vidic only misses one game, if the FA cup was against anyone else Id say sack it off but we can’t be giving Arsenal any kind of lift by doing us at OT.

Its gonna be a long fortnight till the next league game.

  28. Manutd Life says:

The liverpool loss doesnt hurt so much like Boro 4 – 0 UTD or Porto 1 – 0 Manutd , we just need to pick up urselves and bounce back. Lots of haters but UTD FTW. 19th title will surely silence haters b4 Fergie does something to sharpen up the midfield in summer.

  29. hammons says:

Spurs could, will hopefully, surpass our potential total (20 pts), because that would take maximum points from their four games left…. esp. off Arsenal at home.

  30. geneside says:

anyone knows about the latest on nani injury?

  31. jay says:

OUR MIDFIELD IS SHIT if Ferguson does not get some one in next season I am going to pull my hair out seriously it is getting ridiculous our midfield against the other teams apart from Liverpool is really terrible. Arsenal have the best midfield and then Tottenham, our midfield is completely shit. Fergie sort it out.

  32. jay says:

OUR MIDFIELD IS DREADFUL if Ferguson does not get some one in next season I am going to pull my hair out seriously it is getting ridiculous our midfield against the other teams apart from Liverpool is really terrible. Arsenal have the best midfield and then Tottenham, our midfield is completely shit. Fergie sort it out.

  33. mattbw7 says:

If any of midfield of Carrick, Fletcher and Ando had played anywhere near thier potential I think the argument for signing anyone there would die, just cant work out why they have been nowhere near as good as the can be, apart from Ando whos doing the usual of getting niggling injuries after an extended lay off

  34. Dandivine7 says:

I Simply Believe That We Should Win Our Next Five Games! Arsenal,Chelsea And City Will Surely Drop Points In Their Next Five(REMEMBER CHELSEA VS CITY IS NEXT FIXTURE) After Which We’ll Have Four Games(Arsenal,Chelsea,Rovers And B’Pool) Thus Even IF Arsenal Win It Wont Affect Us Cause They Would Have Dropped Points! Lets Go On That Five Game Run United!

  35. mattbw7 says:

Its simple isnt it, as long as we dont lose to our title rivals and win elsewhere the title will be ours and lets face it if we cant get a result away to arse and at home to the chavs can you really say we’d deserve to be champs.

  36. Passe says:

Just imagine if the real Wayne Rooney would come back when Valencia makes his return. I think that is what we might need if we are to make 19.

  37. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

hahaha MG inspiring talks are absolute top quality. Hopefully we won’t need them from now on. :p

We are UNITED, we will bounce back coz thats what we do and hopefully ( I am certain) we will win the 19th one this season and knock them off their fuckin perch and then we all can have a laugh at that joke of a club!

    COME ON UNITED!!

  38. Y M says:

    EDEN HAZARD

  39. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

@ Y M: would be a quality addition but read that he wants to play in spain.

  40. willierednut says:

Is he a tough tacking CM? No! That’s what this team of ours, need.

  41. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

@ willierednut: We also need a left winger. All our current wingers are good on the right but not so good on the left ( Nani included), so we constantly keep depending on Giggsy who cant deliver in every game unfortunately.

  42. united.george says:

the real wayne rooney needs to come back asap…..it is starting to get annoying watching him in his present form….wonder how much of his performance is being affected by his personal life.

  43. willierednut says:

RVP and Fabregas are fit for Barcelona, but also for the run – in. We need some of our players back asap.

  44. MG says:

    Sir Ryan Giggs

Well if we are winning then I’m on for the easy ride – ;)

I’ve been thinking all day long – when Keane left we adopted and Ronaldo took over

Thing is Ronaldo has left and we thought last year that Wayne will take over which he initially did

The rest is injury WC wants to leave history – love to know where that player has gone

If we had that Rooney we wouldn’t need that new midfield that we always keep talking about.

Only time will tell now but for now let’s get this title.

  45. slim says:

    @ jay

You may wanna think about softening your hair now cos boy you could be pulling come summer

  46. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

I hope Barca smash the goons to shreads that will really knock the stuffing outta them.

  47. King Eric says:

jay – Nonsense. Our midfield bossed the game against Spurs twice and Arsenal.

  48. King Eric says:

How the fuck is Van Persie fit? 3 April Wenger said.

  49. Raizzen says:

Barca game will take their tally.

  50. King Eric says:

matt – Spot on at 14.52 pal.

  51. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    @ MG :

Mate I think it is Nani’s time to take over, yes Wayne is an important player but I get a feeling that Fergie is gonna revolve the team around Nani and Ando.

  52. King Eric says:

Eden Hazard? Fuck me. Some people just pluck “fashionable” names out the air. What on earth is he gonna offer us the little fag? We need a fucking destroyer but who is there? Either that or wait for Fletch to get his form back. Hargreaves hasnt been replaced.

  53. MG says:

    King Eric

Wenger had the prays of the press with Fab and VP – we don’t ;)

    Sir Ryan Giggs

I totally agree you could build a team around Nani – truth is Nani has way more development left in him which makes it an even more tantalising prospect.

You can build around Anderson too – just a little concerned with his injuries lately…

  54. mattbw7 says:

well with Vidic back I d be happy with Smalling or Rio in partnership, we’ve missed Park and Valencia so if we get both of them back it will be a great bonus, still no word on Nani, is that good or bad?

  55. King Eric says:

Nani will be absolutely fine on the left. He is both footed. Anyway I think some may be disapointed come the summer. I really do not think Fergie is gonna get 5 or 6 players that some on here desire, No I think a midfielder and a keeper. He could even go all 1995 again but doubt it because the likes of Becks and nevs had played a bit in the league cup etc. Cannot fucking wait for Pogba , Tunni and morrison to get a chnace. These 3 are potential crackers.

  56. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    @ MG:

Ando has been unlucky with these little niggles. As for Nani, I think he is gonna be our star for a long time to come, hopefully he is not to seriously injured coz we really need him for the run in, as he is our spark.

  57. King Eric says:

Personally think its bollocks that Van Persie is anywhere near fitness. Probably just included him in initial squad as he helped them at home. How the fuck can he be ruled out for 6 weeks only to return 4 days later?

  58. wayne says:

@mattbw7 dunno does the ban include injury reports?

  59. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

@ king eric: I would not mind him not signing anyone and even offloading a couple of players if he is ready to give the youth a crack. Pogba, Tunnicliffe , Morrison and Keane would like to see all of them. :D

  60. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

Whats the update on Petrucci?? Heard a lot when we signed him but have not heard much since then, how is he developing ?

  61. mattbw7 says:

sorry wayne I dont get your meaning

  62. YorYor says:

Thanks for all the stats and tables you guys churn out… really helps to rebutt those who keep going on and on about the poor midfield, the dismal away form, the old guard, and how “if our opponents took their chances”… it’s like, is it a trend to belittle your own team?

  63. wayne says:

@mattbw7 the media ban sir alex has imposed would that include injury updates ,like you figured we should have known something by now on nani.

  64. YorYor says:

    @Sir Ryan Giggs
It appears that Petrucci has been unlucky with injuries… he just got back a while ago, think it’s about a month. Hopefully he’s not naturally prone to injuries… but word has it that he’s more talented than Macheda. Really hoping some of these names will get a chance soon.

  65. planetx6 says:

Liverpool was definitely one-off – we always struggle at Anfield plus 3 big away games has got to take a toll on you. We played well against Chelsea (irrespective of the result) and Marseille so all is not lost yet. With Park, Valencia, Nani and hopefully Anderson back for the run-in we should only improve from here on. League is ours (you can credit others lack of form or our persistence). Champions league we’ll see…

  66. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    YorYor:
Just read an article where apparently Fergie is gonna revamp the squad in the summer. I think its bull crap. I would not mind waiting a year more without signing anyone if Fergie is ready to give the youngsters a real go.

  67. Costas says:

I remember last season when I was wondering how we could fit Nani and Valencia in our team since they are both better off on the right. And as fate would have it, Valencia missed 6 months of football and upon his return, Nani gets injured. Fuck me, I want to see the two of them in a game together again.

  68. YorYor says:

Bah, revamp? Just journalists making up stories. Pogba already looks like he could do with some exposure now and then in the first team – he’s more than comfortable in the Reserves it seems.
One Paul to replace another Paul?

  69. shubhangmanred says:

    Anyone read this yet?
    sport.co.uk/news/Football/51191/Graham_Poll_Carragher_Rodriguez__Suarez_all_could_have_seen_red.aspx

  70. red says:

I know what would really cheer me up. Nani scoring a hattrick at Anfield next season :)

But I like what SAF is doing in. Seige Mentality and we need it now. First up,I want us to thump Arsenal. I can’t wait for the next game. I know our midfield is not that great at the moment but we will have Valencia and Park back. Fletcher should be ok.

I’m tired of the negativity nowadays. Top of the league. Fact!

  71. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    YorYor:

If this Paul is half as good as the Paul he is gonna replace we got a special talent. ( I think he is)

Under the guidance of Fergie I think he and Tunnicliffe will hopefully do great things for us.

Can’t to get Welbeck, Cleverly and Kiko back also.

  72. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    @ Real Red Devil:

goal.com is a stupid site where there is no understanding of footy and they just post anything to get more people to read their shit site so do not get offended by them. They are cunts with no footballing knowledge.

  73. Real red devil says:

    @Sir Ryan Giggs
It was so annoying and angering to read about SAF’s knighthood. They wrote that he didn’t deserve it then who deserve it who is the other triple winning manager in english football ?who presented more talented players to enlish team?.Its just disgusting .I am not an English but i never saw a digraceful media like this fucking morons.

  74. jay says:

I am still fucking bitter about losing to Liverpool not that we lost so much but the manner in which we lost I was shell shocked. Thank God for that consolation goal by Hernandez because that is the only positive for me or else I don’t know what I would of done if some arsehole at work had goaded me about the spanking we received. Our midfield really needs to be lifted we need someone creative, I know this might be out there but what about Arteta I watched his last game and he was amazing.

  75. Zelh says:

our midfield got outplayed and people are screaming for creativity?
If our defense would be shite, would you scream for strikers?

We need some steel in midfield.
We need someone who IS the engine room.

  76. Zelh says:

Keane would have shredded Suarez to pieces.

  77. YorYor says:

    @Zelh
No, they’d just get each other sent off. Suarez would bit him, and Keano would’ve gave him a tackle that’d leave him nightmares and he’d hand in a transfer request.

  78. YorYor says:

We’ll have to see if SAF decides to just throw the dice and hope something happens. Pogba and/or Tunnicliffe for some action at home against Bolton perhaps, if our midfielders’ reported crisis continue?
Not that I think there’s a crisis with the midfield – we have only one crisis, and that’s Rooney.

  79. willierednut says:

Anyone that has mutv, if you hear anything about Nani, lets us know please?

  80. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    Real red devil:

Mate neither am I english. goal.com is a very very stupid site which trust me you should not even read coz non of their news is ever the truth, its just third quality journos trying to get as many readers as they can by posting crap articles like this one. Agreed they are cunts and what they said about is SAF is absolute rubbish but you cant do anything about dogs barking. People who know football , know that that is total crap.

  81. King Eric says:

Fucking hell. I see knocking around with fat cunt scouser Quinny has rubbed off on ginger prick Durham. Reckons next will be the dippers! Praising that pixie cunt Dalglish. They won in their cup final. Lets see how smug they are when we surpass the vermin in May.

  82. King Eric says:

    *next season”

  83. Heywood is Red says:

Yesterday hurt, we were poor again, and the same problems we’ve had during season bubbled up again. But today i’ve been hugely amused by the fact dippers and bitters alike take so much joy out of defeating us becaue they have so little else going on in their season. It seems to mean so much to them to get 3 points, while we’re more upset at not bein able to extend the lead, although lsing to the dippers in such poorfashion also hurts. I’ve reminded numerous pricks today that whilst gerrard was happier kissing the camera few years back, giggsy ended season kissing premier league trophy. Prioritise people

  84. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

@ king eric: Dont they always say the next season will be theirs and then end up struggling to get into europa league. ahahaha what a joke of a football club.

  85. united.george says:

    I got this from Manutd.com

18:00 Nani has just posted an update on Twitter about his injury and it sounds positive thankfully. The winger said: “Thank you for your support after my injury. I hope to be back really soon.” Let’s hope really soon means Saturday! (GT)

  86. StatesideAussie says:

willie … According to the United web site, Nani tweeted to say: “Thank you for your support after my injury. I hope to be back really soon.” Doesn’t tell us much, but at least it doesn’t look like a long-term thing.

  87. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

@ united.george: what is Nanis twitter username?

  88. united.george says:

    Sir Ryan it is “luisnani”

  89. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

    cheers mate! :)

  90. willierednut says:

Cheers lads. Can’t see him making Saturday. We’re literally down to the bare bones, for the cup game. Looks like Obertan could get another chance.

  91. Heywood is Red says:

I’m following ferdinands verified account on twitter and he has time and again categorically stated he is the only united player on twitter, and any other players names are fake. Sorry to burst bubbles here

  92. Sir Ryan Giggs says:

@ heywood: Nanis account is verified mate. He did thank rio for helping him use twitter. :P

  93. Doghouse says:

No solid news is perhaps good news about Nani, impacts like that, while incredibly painful, don’t tend to be serious. I mean if you lad is just running and pulls up, or strains something, that, for me, is more of a worry than a bad tackle. Football is a contact sport and whatever people in the media say about lads like Nani, and Ronaldo got it too, they are strong lads. They take hits as part of the game that would shatter a journalist like a glass window.

Meanwhile, mostly off topic and slightly treasonous, but is anybody else drooling with anticipation of the Arsenal/Barcelona game? It’s the sort of game that I love to watch from the neutral perspective, because I don’t care who wins. I’d like Arsenal to win obviously, keeps them in the tournament longer, and might take the edge off them in the league, but really I don’t care. It’s a team that won’t defend against a team that can’t defend, with attackers on both side who are ideally suited to this type of game. Should be a great match.

  94. united.george says:

@Heywood, pretty sure it is the real deal, he has many personal photos of him at his house, with usher etc. Besides the spelling is pretty bad sometimes….gotta be Nani.

I have to say that by now, I think Rio owns Twitter. He updates that site more than the Kardashians!

  95. Costas says:

Nani joined twitter just recently and since our official website confirms it, I think it’s reliable.

Now then, nice to see Nani upbeat. Maybe he is waiting for the gash to close. No big damage to the bone hopefully. If it’s like Possebon’s, he could be back in 2-4 weeks.

But look at it like this. We have 3 games left this month. Arsenal, Marseille and Bolton, all at OT. We can win all 3 without Nani imo. After that, we have a 2 week break and it will be a chance for him to recover. Hopefully our Portuguese friends will be understanding. ;)

  96. MG says:

    Doghouse

The match maybe interesting if they lose the plot and tackles may be flying in and players get injured

Because that’s what would make it interesting for us

    Cue tonight too

I would so love to see bad ref decisions take their course ;)

Sorry that’s just the mood I’m in – couldn’t give a shit about anyone – just care for my team and for us to respond

  97. MG says:

So this Rio on twitter what does he do for a day job

    ;)

  98. Heywood is Red says:

Ok got my arse spanked. Going buryng my head now ha

  99. MG says:

Oh yes I got in first 99 and 100

    Beat that Costas ;)

  100. united.george says:

    @Doghouse

AS much as I would like to have Arsenal stay in the CL and play more games, I dont think I can stand the mass media ejaculation that would follow if they were to knock Barcelona out of the CL. It could cover the entire city of London and impregnate yet more stupid minds!

  101. willierednut says:

I’m drooling in hope, that Barcelona spank those Arsenoods.

Last minute Barca winner to knock Arsenal outta champions league to do it for me! should be a good game though.

  113. Costas says:

Not expecting anything from Blackpool. I feel that Chelsea have a new lease on life. Also, funny how they played 3 games in 13 days while we played 4 in 11, hey? Anyway, they know that if they win their games in hand, they will be 6 points behind us and we still have to play them.

    @MG

    Those were the days. :)

  115. StatesideAussie says:

I can’t decide who I loathe and detest more: The Arse or Barca. I guess Barca. Partly because I think we have a better chance of beating The Arse than we do of beating Barca, if we should meet later in the CL. Also, if The Arse go through, it will keep them a bit busier, stretch them a bit more in the PL, which is the only thing that really matters to me this year. But whatever happens in the PL, the CL would be nice too, and we have a better chance if Barca are knocked out. Can’t see it happening though. Of course, the ego-ridden fall-out of The Arse beating Barca would be disgusting, but it would be made marginally more bearable by the joy of seeing Barca knocked out. For me, anyway. And if The Arse do go through, we can still give them a kick in the guts on Saturday, which I believe we will.

  116. CedarsDevil says:

    Evening fellow reds…

Back after my 24 hours of mourning after a defeat, I am a bad loser but not a sour loser.

My positives from yesterday, in Smalling we have the best upcoming center back in the PL, the kid is without doubt a gem. In Hernandez we have one of the best natural finishers in Europe.

Now we need to regroup and find our winning ways again, just like we did in 08/09 after successive defeats to the dippers and Fulham.

Its written in the stars, we will have number 19 come May, just meant to be nail biting thats all, i.e. the UNITED way………… Believe, I do

  119. gerkeo says:

No news on Nani, I rekon Fergie is using it as further evidence in his appeal.
Look at this weekend alone, luis 4 yellow card offences bu no red, arsenal getting screwed over on 2 major decisions, , richards leg breaker on TC, Nani getting assualted by wanker, maxi on raphael, raphael on skrtel, shawcross bursting scott parker, i’m sure theres more inept reffering from just this week alone. Some of them career threatening but holy fook if you mention a bad word about the precious ref you’re singled out as a bollocks.

The refs get well paid, they’re big boys & girls ;) , if they do shit then they should be allowed to be called shit.

  120. parryheid says:

Seems to me United are starting games on good days with a Ten and a Half man team and on the others a Ten man team I dread seeing he who wont be dropped on the teamsheet as it is almost a certainty he’ll do fuckall but his supporters will be quick to tell the likes of me he’ll be better next week.Been thinking for some time he doesn’t want to be here and cant fathom out how he is always in the line up what deal has Rooney got with the manager, trying times ahead and I want triers on the pitch and if his followers think he is trying then there must be something wrong with my yak’s.

  121. MG says:

    Costas

We’ll have better days coming back – when the opposition believe they have had the game of the season against you whilst you have been kind enough to lay all 3 goals for them – you know it will be ok.

    Evening CedarsDevil, StatesideAussie

I agree that Smalling and Hernandez have been brilliant – Smalling is not showing his age at all – he was just on the wrong sie of individual errors that sapped the confidence out of the team – yet he still defended brilliantly

I have lost words to describe Hernandez – the kid is phenomenal and no matter what he will just get better and better which is really scary for everyone else.

I’d love Arsenal to go through because of the league thing and that they have problems with their squad too – but I don’t care

    :)

  122. Mind your car for a quid says:

Fucking amazing the commentary on the news and radio. Carra is going to be annointed at this rate, apparentley rafa tackle is worse because of intent, Alan brazil (the puzzler from numberjacks) actually said he was a fergie fan!!

Tbh though , I want to hear from fergie because he really does say amazing things in defeat, comments after Chelsea match liffted me right up.

@CedarsDevil: I like careful planning coming to fruition ,watching Fergiespend 17 million for this season is amazing. Signing anyone is a gamble, this time for us it worked. Not going to bore u with stuff u already now about how much the other sides spent .

ancelloti is saying he is rebuilding chleki with toress, luiz, ramires. Bloody expensive.
Besides I bet he leaves in the summer .He looks unhappy there with his comments and all.

Now that Louis van gall is leaving bayern, that clears the way for manuel neur to join them.
interesting to see who they will go for.

Someone said on United Youth that Everytime Fletcher plays for us against livers,we dont lose.

  126. willierednut says:

It’s all Rooney’s fault lol. Blame him for being a cunt, for trying to hold United to ransom, but you can’t blame him for Vidic getting sent off, or Rio’s constant injury problems. Or, United being under par in midfield this season. It’s more than Rooney being out of form. It’s deeper than that IMO. I trust the manager to sort it out, because he’s the only that can, in all honesty.

Youth arrested over killing of 46-year-old United fan from Leigh (Greater Manchester) after rooftop siege in West Midlands

A teenager suspected of killing a Manchester United fan has been arrested after a rooftop siege at a house in the West Midlands.

He was arrested on suspicion of murdering father-of-five Stephen mark Garvey, 46, who was found collapsed outside Leigh Police Station.

Greater Manchester Police tipped off the West Midlands force who set up a surveillance operation in Dudley.

When the suspect went into a benefits office police moved in to arrest him.

But he fled through a back door and then into a nearby house.

After a one one hour siege the 17-year-old who had remained on the roof of the house came down, and was arrested.

He remains in custody to be questioned by officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team.

Mr Garvey, aged 46, from Wenslydale Road, Leigh, died in hospital after being found with serious head injuries in Henry Street at about 2.40am on Sunday.

He was seen being hit by a single punch on Henry Street at about 2.25am and fell to the ground, striking his head. He was discovered by a police call handler who had just finished their shift at nearby Leigh Police station.

Mr Garvey was walking home from the Waterside Inn in the town. He had earlier watched the Wigan vs Manchester United game at the DW Stadium.

Mr Garvey had been drinking in the pub with his wife, Helen, mother of two of his children. He has another three children from a previous relationship.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 8259 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 11

  201. rocknrolla says:

Pastore’s rumour is highly unlikely as he just signed a new deal with Palermo in the summer. But with 34 mil, you will never know. I thought Rodwell would be a better buy for us. We are in need of a player who can get stuck in, and I say he is the man for it. Pastore, well, he doesnt have the Premier League experience, its a huge gamble to spend 34 mil for him, and most of all, he’s an Argentine. We have had some bad memories with Argentine players. But if we do get him, hope he’ll be the saint.

And, am i the only one who think that we’re gonna need to change our assistant manager ? Im not questioning SAF, but seemed that Mike Phelan is not really the man for that 2nd pos. We were very strong in midfield when Queiroz was with us, minus Ronny. Our tactical has been very straight forward with not much option in our game play. And Mike Phelan have got the exact same players who worked under Queiroz, again, minus Ronny, plus Valencia and the new Nani. Somewhere deep inside me i really think that Mike Phelan’s contribution to the team is not as good as what we should have get. We need a fresh face. Ole maybe ? or Red Nev ? ;)

A major renovation is needed for this beloved club of ours. We need to sell, and yes we need to buy. And hell yes we need to sort our engine room sooner rather than later.

  214. StatesideAussie says:

RedBlood … interesting read about Morrison, thanks for that. As someone who is forced to follow United from a distance, I appreciate the insight. What it does is reinforce my belief that there are many reasons why SAF has shunned the transfer market, and has followed the path that he has. I have always said it isn’t only about money (either the lack of it, or the his objection in principle to paying over the odds for ordinary talent).

Those who promote the idea that we need a complete overhaul of the team are undoubtedly right, the question is: where will the new blood come from? To me, arguments that we need to go out and buy four, five or even six established players are silly for many, many reasons. And one that is often overlooked is that we have, in our ‘nursery’, some exciting prospects who very soon will have the opportunity to step up — and who will need to be given that opportunity. But what opportunity would exist if we were to restock the pantry with imported, established stars, each with 4-8 years of good playing time still left in them? Any investment in imported talent has to be viewed in that context: that it’s an investment that must be considered medium to long term. There is no point buying established players, at 20 million or more each, just to put experienced “bums on seats” for a year or two.

Personally, I can’t wait to see these youngsters come through. As the article says, we can expect to see more of them next year. And it won’t be before time — after all, Rooney was alive in the PL at 16 (I think?) and there are others, still teenagers, beginning to make thier mark for other clubs.

And, as I have noted previously, it will in the end be time that forces SAFs hand. That is the great juggling act that he, the master juggler, now faces — the easing out of one generation and the easing in of another; hoping that the old do not have to go before their time, while also hoping that they can last long enough, at least to provide guidance to the newcomers; at the same time, hoping that the new players will be ready when needed, but not ready too early so that they get restless.

All this will happen over the next 1 to 3 years, and it going to be the journey of a lifetime. A new team of United Babes to bedazzle and conquer. Wow!

  215. King Eric says:

Jesus wept. There was about forty posts of fucking smileys and shit. What’s that all about? Yes I am a turning into a miserable old man. Yeah I cannot stress enough how ridiculously good morrison in particular tunni and pogba are. Ravel is so composed on the ball and can quite easily beat four or five men. The dribbling skills of a young gazza. Glides across the pitch. Different class. An eye for goal and gets into great scoring positions. Little tricks and flicks as well. Pogba is just huge and will be a beast. Great feet for a tall lad and scores some belters. Gets stuck in as well. Tunnicliffe is a great box to boxer. Picks it up on the edge of his box and just drives at players. Quite pacy. Leggy and as I have said countless times like a young keano. A hard little nut as well and not afraid to put himself about. Scores plenty from midfield and his driving runs create plenty. A real midfield dynamo. How many midfielders have been in the first team squad at just seventeen. Not many for a long time. Fergie really rates these three and has high hopes for them. He was gushing about tunnicliffes performance in the youth cup saying he was outstanding in a game he was at and absolutely owned the midfield. People may think I am being over top if ya haven’t seen them thinking yeah yeah another richardson or martin etc. No these three look real gems and I really hope to see one or two of them next season in the league cup or if we are coasting in a game. Remember when one of our lads scored and tunni just ran over picked him up and carried him about on his shoulder. Strong as an ox. I can’t rate them highly enough. They are that good.

  216. King Eric says:

Oh and three one flattered the rentboys. If adam taylor fletcher and campbell were playing it could have been different. Really hope blackpool stay up. They have been a pleasure to watch. Had sustained spells of possesion tonight as well and caused chelsea real problems. The tranny is a fucking joke. Fifty million for that cunt and the dippers get suartez and but for that daft carrol buy would be laughing all the way to the bank. Anyway they will be good as in the words of ginger cunt durham next year is their year. Mwahah.

Regarding tunnicliffe even if he turns out like butty that will do for me. Butty would have relished that game yesterday and would have shown passion and wouldn’t have let carragher get away with that.

Ha. I see after that hideous defeat the phelan chestnut is raised. I am sure fergie has been in the game long enough to work tactics out without micky and has the nous to know after knowing him twenty plus yearts and been at the club for time as a player before this role that fergie knows if phelan is up to the job. Besides I think renee will have plenty of a say on tactics etc. This the man that helped mould ronnie now nani into the players they have become.

  217. StatesideAussie says:

@King Eric … music to my ears, what you and others are saying about these young guys. I think we need to hear more about them, and more often, on this web site. Might help to open the yes of some people who think the only way forward is with a bloody huge checkbook.

    Comparison of remaining games:

    (a) where United have an advantage:

United play Bolton at home; GOONERS play them away
We play Fulham at home, they play them away
We play Blackpool at home, they play them away
We play Everton at home, they play Liverpool at home
We play Newcastle away, they play Spurs away

    (b) where the gooners have an advantage

United play chelski at home, gooners play villa at home
We play the gooners away, they place us at home

    © unsure how to weight:

United play west ham away, gooners play stoke and west brom away

  223. perkythered says:

Plus they have to win their game in hand to draw level on points

Plus: We can look for favours from:

Scousers: who play arsenal away and city at home
Spurs: WHO PLAY THE GOONERS AT HOME, CHELSKI AWAY, AND CITY AWAY
