    Not bad, but we can stil do better. Good morning Reds all over the world.

  2. Phil Jones' Birdshit Streaks says:

    This proves Berba deserves better than he’s getting. I want to see him and Rooney up front together tearing teams apart. Come on Fergie

  3. Costas says:

    Heh, not bad for a 4th choice striker…

  4. samuel - united WE stand says:

    No, i’d rather see the best players that Fergie chooses, not the players who “Deserve” to play because they’re “Lovely”. What is this? a theatre play about the good samaritan?.

    And what is it with idiots getting all touchy these days?. I hear some people were upset about rooney’s tweet about the toure brothers?. What exactly did he say wrong? the society is full of weak minded drama queens that won’t allow others an opinion which isn’t exactly offensive.

  5. bbabyj says:

    For Berba, you seem to have divided 10 goals by 7 appearances instead of the other way around. His ratio should be 0.7, not 1.4 ;)

  6. Costas says:

    @bbabyj

    Good catch. Same goes for Balotelli’s stats.

  7. Costas says:

    Aguero’s record isn’t too bad either. 15 goals and 6 assists in 23 league games.

  8. smartalex says:

    Tevez’s dispute with City has cost the player a total of £9.3m in lost earnings since the start of the season. That’s a strike rate that doesn’t affect us. He will play again for city.

    Thanks to Sir Alex, we have Danny, Dimi, Micky, the Pea and Rooney.

    Loverly!

  9. Costas says:

    @smartalex

    What’s even more pathetic, is that Mancini will be forced to accept that cancer back in the side because if he doesn’t play a specific number of games, he can leave for free next summer. And City won’t get any of that 47 million they paid for him back.

  10. Shebangsthedrums says:

    Costas – is that true? Where did you hear that? So much for city standing up to player power then if that’s the case. Mugs!

  11. Yesred says:

    Tevez back in ciddy’s dressing room,imagine the harmony and welcome arms. Only at wastelands.

  12. Dakduivel says:

    @ Phil Jones’ Birdshit Streaks

    I think it says cleary ”ratio per start” so not per appearance. A good reason to start with The Berb more often! :D

    Never saw anyone here chatting about that beautiful and powerful Wayne Rooney strike which in the left top corner during the 2nd half saturday. A real shame the ref had to blow that one off beacause of some foul.. :( It would have been one hell of a third goal ! :D

  13. Dakduivel says:

    Correction: I meant “Goals per start”

  14. NotoriousRedDevil says:

    @ smartalex – I wonder how much Mickey has lost in earnings by being injured most of the time?

    Personally don’t buy into the disharmony of cit-eh with Tevez returning. He’s a horrible selfish human being who I always saw through, loathe him but unfortunately always gives it on the pitch, we can point to the Bayern game but fact is he is always worried about competition and if he doesn’t start we all know what he’s like.

    If anything he’ll be busting a gut to get a move to a top club where he can recoup some of that £9.3 million back, Kia is probably pissed. No Tigers and Flamengo in his south american mansion as a result of that.

  15. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Phil Jones birdshit

    Mate as much as I would love to agree I cant, i love Berba but right now he is nowhere near our first choice 11. Herbnandez probably feels more aggrieved but the form of Danny boy is making him irreplacable at the moment.

    Berba is a top pro, a top footballer but unfortunately for him he is 4th choice now.

  16. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Hernandez should i say we have not signed a new mexican herb :-)

  17. smartalex says:

    Costas – wow! He has had them over a barrel despite being the trouble-causer. They should set him up, for he is a greedy, selfish man who will not hesitate to screw them again. Else, they could play him the minimum number, but only bring him on in injury time. Fuck the money it costs them, the only way to ensure that their club is not again fucked over, is to destroy Tevez value. Any player that realizes they risk becoming irrelevant to Football will think twice before copying Tevez.

  18. Costas says:

    @Shebangsthedrums

    The clause in his contract was brought up during the transfer window. It was why City were eager to sell him in January. And now he’s conveniently on his way back..

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/9078636/Carlos-Tevez-to-abort-appeal-over-loss-of-earnings-as-he-prepares-to-end-three-month-Manchester-City-exodus.html?

  19. Costas says:

    @smartalex

    It could blow up in their face if he disrupts their team’s locker room. Again. What I find funny in all this, is that City have unlimited resources, yet they are still keeping the troll around because they want some of the money they paid for him back.

  20. Sandeep1878 says:

    BerbaTOP,

  21. smartalex says:

    NotoriousRedDevil – Owen has lost plenty. Fortunately Sir Alex choses players like Owen and Berbatov, who are not financially driven in their football.

    Hebnandez is a smoking gun, that will yet fire us to glory this season.
    Light up Chicharito, blow us away!

  22. Shebangsthedrums says:

    Thing is, if he gets them a couple of goals and they win the league, Mancini will be hailed as a genius for bringing him back. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tevez played and scored against us.

  23. smartalex says:

    Costas – they value their reputation highly, just not as highly as extra cash plus a player that does score in the Premiership. It shows that city is largely a short-term project, with regular trophies crucial to retaining the owner’s interest. Actually, should City win a major trophy or two, the law of diminishing return kicks in. How many trophies does a Sheik need before changing sports? Not many, I’ll bet.

  24. lordrt says:

    Berba deserves more starts, thou many would argue that he lacks the pace provided by either Danny and Chicharito upfront, but yet he can still be very deadly in front of goal, and is a class act, still remember his bicycle kick against the scousers when we won 3-2 in 2010

  25. kanchelskis says:

    Imagine how Balotelli’s gonna feel if Tevez just waltzes back from his self-awarded holiday and into the starting lineup. Could the the final straw – everyone knows he wants to go to AC.

    On the other hand, like Shebangsthedrums says, Tevez could just come back and bag them some key goals.

    Funny how all those months ago, Mankini said it was impossible for him to play for City ever again. Now we’re breathing down their necks more than ever, they’ve lost their fluency, we’ve taken 7 points from three tough games, our players are coming back…

    … and all of a sudden he’s welcome back.

    Has that club got no self-respect?

  26. Shebangsthedrums says:

    City should look at the chavs to see where they’re going, 1 billion spent for 5/6 years success, now they’re on the wane. They don’t have unlimited funds with the FFP coming into effect. I know they’ll find a way around the figures, but they still have to demonstrate that their losses are coming down. They can no longer afford to have a surplus of players on big wages, as they try to get wages down the quality of players will inevitably drop just as the chavs are finding out.

  27. jay says:

    Apart from our players looking at Adebayor and van Persies stats made my mouth water, in a year or two I can see Sturridge along with Welbeck becoming prolific strikers. I do not like Suarez at all but I can look at his stats objectively, I thought he would have betters stats then at least half the players on the list. I always get excited when Hernandez is on the pitch, in fact I thought he should of started ahead at the Liverpool game, those players can’t handle him and he always turns up at the big games, Hernandez would be my first choice along side Rooney any time. I have nothing against Welbeck as a whole he has better technique then Hernandez, but as a finisher Hernandez for me always come on top, that goal against Chelsea made my day, absolutely fantastic.

  28. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Lordrt

    Diagree mate and I am a berba fan but we are kicking on for the league now and need to play out strongest team when possible. We are out the the champs league and domestic cups so we need to keep pace.

  29. smartalex says:

    Wolves have sacked manager Mick McCarthy.

    14 points in the last 22 League games was clearly not enough.

  30. NotoriousRedDevil says:

    Thats actually good news. Really don’t see who they can bring in to sort stuff out and may work in our favour when we next play them. Say what you want about him but its always been tough at Molineaux when Mcarthy was in charge.

    @ kanchelskis – You make an excellent point on how he’s welcome back now their lead is just 2 points and can change in a weekend.

    @shebangsthedrums – How’s it going? Agree with you on how argie troll could get them some key goals if he returns to the team. They’ll probably announce a £1billion sponsorship deal with a company the Sheiks run to get around the Fair Play rule as well!!

  31. red_bicycle says:

    Not bad. Berba and Chicharito are not first choices this year but still among the best in the league.

  32. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Here is a team that didnt play on Saturday:

    Lindergaard
    Jones Vidic Smalling Fabio
    Nani Clev Anderson Young
    Hernandez Berba

    Subs
    Park
    Flecther
    Pogba
    Fryers

    Not bad considering they say our squad is weak…….

  33. smartalex says:

    Accrington Stanley FC has announced that Sir Alex Ferguson has become its 500th shareholder.

    Stanley said they were “extremely grateful” for Sir Alex’s display of support for the club.

    Stanley chief executive Rob Heys said: “Sir Alex’s gesture of support in becoming a shareholder is extremely gratifying. We are not only honoured by his decision, but truly touched by his support for an historic neighbour. Everyone at the club is looking forward to welcoming him to our next AGM, where he’ll receive one vote as an official shareholder”.

    Sir Alex said: “Everyone has heard of Accrington Stanley and I am so pleased to see a small community club flourishing during these times. Long may they continue to be an active and healthy member of the Football League.”

    What if we draw them in a Cup?

  34. kanchelskis says:

    @smartalex

    Don’t need to worry about that this season do we? ;-)

  35. zelh says:

    when will people learn that rooney and berbatov won’t work up front.
    they are both too similar. droping deep and neither of them is playing on the defenders shoulder.
    that’s why berba isn’t playing much. It not about Welbeck or Hernandez who took Berba out of the line-up. It’s Rooney.

  36. smartalex says:

    kanchelskis – why not? Are Stanley out of the FA Cup?

    Oh well. They’re not very good then, are they?

  37. kanchelskis says:

    @smartalex

    Yeh. Them and Shitty both.

  38. NotoriousRedDevil says:

    @zelh It seemed to work pretty well for most of last season, but then it was Berba scoring the goals and not Rooney. If we had Rooney playing the same way as in 09/10 and Berbatov playing like he did last season and I suppose this season, then it should work. Berbatovs age probably works against him as well.

    Its a moot point though, because as said before by Costas, we have Rooney and Berba fighting for one position and Hernandez and Welbeck for the other.

  39. Jeet says:

    Team for Ajax?

    DDG
    Jones Smalling Evans Fabio
    Nani Ando Cleverly Young
    Berba Hernandez

    Subs:
    Amos, Fryers, Valencia, Pogba, Scholes, Rooney

  40. Never beaten only run out of time says:

    All the same u have to take ur hat off to van persie, arsenal have only scored 48 goals this season and he has been responsible for 29 of them.
    But suarez is a cunt.

    http://stretfordenders.net/video-not-everybody-shakes-hands-at-villa-park-today/

  42. Aberbacadabra says:

    I agree with you zelh, plus at this point in the season the team needs rooney to be at his mercurial best. He is the 1 to carry the team across the finish line and he showed that against the dippers. I love berba (no homo) and i’d very much have him on my team sheet every game because he’s got that little extra touch of magic but there’s lots of competition from danny boy and little pea plus both have got bags of pace against tiring teams in this second half of the season. I’d be satisfied if berba played the europa games. It can’t be that bad and am sure there’s lots of competitive teams in europa. Now bring on no. 20 please.

  43. Eddiemunro says:

    Rooney – 22 starts and 3 assists. That’s poor. If you think of all the times we’ve needed a late goal and got one Rooney hasn’t been involved in the build up; Norwich, Arsenal, Chelsea (I know it was his shot that Cech saved but Giggs made the goal), West Brom.

    For a player who plays behind a main striker this isn’t good enough.

  44. WillieRedNut says:

    Out on bail, fresh out of jail, the RedNuts title dreaming! As soon as i step on the scene, I hear Notorious screaming! Berba!!!! :)

  45. Jeet says:

  46. WillieRedNut says:

    @ 12.41

    I remember that song?

  47. kanchelskis says:

    @Jeet

    Ando won’t be playing, mate. Fergie says he’s a couple of weeks away.

  48. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Eddiemunro

    Stats dont always represent though mate as do we know how many times Rooney has supplied the ball prior to the assit in the goals mentioned? In all the games I go to I am always really impressed with his contribution from both attacking midfield and up front. he is a real selfless player so I dont just go off stats.

  49. Jeet says:

    @kanchelski: really? gotta wonder what’s wrong

  50. kanchelskis says:

    @Giggs12Gerrard0

    I do believe that’s what a ‘key pass’ is. Could be wrong though…

  51. kanchelskis says:

    @Jeet

    Indeed. In fact, I had this discussion with Costas a few days ago. Ando is frustratingly enigmatic, both in terms of his fluctuations in form and his flaky injury statuses. Whenever he’s out, we’re never sure why, and Fergie is always very reticent with details and updates.

  52. Park Life says:

  53. WillieRedNut says:

    Not like he was in good form anyway. Scholes is holding the fort with expert ease!

    Rafa has ruled himself out of the Wolves job? The Wolves fans go ballistic! ;)

  54. Giggs12Gerrard0 says:

    Kanchelskis

    Could well be mate, another point to note is that Roo has the most shots on goal per game so will answer why he doesnt assist so much is that he is the end where he shoud be.

  55. kanchelskis says:

    @WillieRedNut

    I actually think the couple of games he came back for in December / January he was actually fairly decent. Hitting some good passes rather than falling into his usual habits of trying to do too much. Hope he can be of some importance to us in the run-in. Even if it is only by giving Carrick, Scholes and Giggs a rest by playing in the Europa matches!

  56. kanchelskis says:

    Woah. Another corker of a stat:

    United have been up 2-0 335 times in the premier league. They’ve lost 0 and drawn 9 from that stage.

  57. WillieRedNut says:

    Kanchelskis – He’s still too hit and miss for me. Maybe a rekindling of the Ando, Clevs partnership will bring the best out of him again.

  58. Jeet says:

    Were wolves to get a vampire for gaffer!

  59. WillieRedNut says:

  61. ricky says:

    has any1 seen anderson recently?

    hes lost alot of weight, gone bald, has a beard and is skinny as a lamp post

  62. kanchelskis says:

    @WillieRedNut

    That joke was bloody awful. I didn’t get it at first and then it dawned on me. I’ve taken to coffin at work to try and suppress my laughter.

  63. wayne says:

    If those stats show the top 9 strikers in the Prem and Utd have 4 that’s the most impressive stat of all.Just a thought on Macarthy getting sacked,i’m not sure what these lower clubs expect,regardless of manager are Wolves ever going to be better than a bottom half club,surviving has to be considered job well done.Never been a Macarthy fan but with very little money to spend and low attendences fans and owners should be more realistic about the 3rd tier clubs.

  64. Red Nation says:

    ok ricky calm down dear.

    Thats as likely as Suarez the racist saying sorry to Evra.

  65. WillieRedNut says:

  68. WillieRedNut says:

  72. kanchelskis says:

    Your comment suggests that you did, in fact, completely miss the pun in my last post. Better luck next time.

  73. wayne says:

    No i didn’t

  74. WillieRedNut says:

    Not high brow. More like slap stick! :)

  75. kanchelskis says:

    @wayne

    Then why did you take it to mean that I ACTUALLY thought we were being highbrow and cryptic, when in fact it was quite obviously worded only for the sake of the pun?

  76. Jeet says:

    Fight, fight!

  77. wayne says:

    Fuck me i didn’t i knew you were being scarastic

  78. kanchelskis says:

  79. wayne says:

    FFS i was joking,what the fuck is wrong with you,does everything have to be a issue in this place,if you can’t figure out i was being sarcastic back.not my problem

  80. kanchelskis says:

    Not your problem? I dunno, you seem pretty wound up right now. Why does everything have to be an issue in this place?

  82. TheCANTONA says:

    That cunt Suarez isnt really good is he? just 6 goals & 2 assist but some daft liverfool fans defends him just like hes the best thing eversince the slice bread. Retards!

  83. LoneStarRed says:

    Long way to go yet but not bad so far for out strikers. I feel we waste too many chances though.

  84. Sparkz says:

    3 assists for Rooney? I’m sure that can’t be right….just off the top of my head, I remember him getting 2 against Bolton recently (set up Scholesy and Welbeck). Set up Anderson’s header against Norwich. And I think he got one in the 8-2 as well.

    And yes, what is the situation with Anderson’s fitness, anyone got any updates?

  85. gexmex says:

    I am rereading the comments about Welbeck, here and in other threads and maybe I have been looking at other matches for the past month or so. What I am reading is “work rate”, “link up”, “all around” and other BS stuff….Let me summarize his contribution in the last games: very small. Against Suarez&Co we owe it to Valencia, who was for all purposes the real second striker (as well as a second RB and a first RM). Roo’s second goal was all Valencia’s making, Welbeck was nowhere to be seen. He did not threat the goal even once, and most of the game he was making those senseless runs everybody here is apparently so fond of.
    The same happened against Chelsea, except for two occasions when he made himself available inside the box, with the second one getting a brilliant pass from Hernandez and creating the penalty (but we all know that Hernandez has no link up game)… FFS we were down 3 – 0 and those comments still talked about “link up” game.
    Look at the stats since Wigan. If I am not mistaken, he has one goal (against Arsenal). Thankfully, Valencia has made the difference for the past weeks.

  86. King Eric says:

    Gexmex. Ha ha ha. Fuck me. Welbeck was absolutely superb against the dippers. What game were yoy watching pal?

  87. JC says:

    Gex it’s ok we get that you have a man crush on Javier, you don’t need to keep slagging off Danny to prove it. Now start trying to be objective or piss off.

  88. WillieRedNut says:

    The brilliant pass from Hernandez, that came off a Chelsea player? I rate little pea highly, but theres no need to have a pop at Danny in every post. I hate the way some will have a strop because their favorite player isn’t playing. Support the lads as a squad. We’re not a team of individuals.
