Nation of Champions by bwin has studied attendances over Europe’s top five leagues in the Champions League and found some largely unsurprising information.

The teams in the Bundesliga are the best supported in the Champions League over the past six seasons, with the average home attendance standing at a very impressive 94.64%.

The Russian Premier League is the worst supported league with an average home attendance across all clubs of just 69.89%, due to the stadium bans imposed on their teams for racism.

Manchester United have had the second highest attendances for Champions League games in England, behind Arsenal.

In the top five leagues, United are ranked seventh.
