T-Shirt: It’s Probably Not As Good As Your Own Cow

Mancunia Merchandise has added a new design in honour of Sir Alex Ferguson’s recent comments about any player wanting away from Manchester United. His cow analogy isn’t quite up there with Eric Cantona and his seagulls, but I’m sure it’ll be one we hear quoted time and again.

Available in the UK shop and the US shop.

    Our own little Aristotle:)

  3. RedScot says:

Christ I wish with all my heart it was a cash cow.

  4. Colbert says:

Fergie’s quote is not a moo point.

  5. RedScot says:

@Rom merchandise, in fairness I think the only decent thing to come out of this whole debacle is to enhance the reputation of Sir Alex Ferguson as the greatest living manager EVER!

  6. willierednut says:

I’m convinced he’s talking about Tevez.

  7. RedScot says:

@ Willie as ever taking the piss.

  8. Costas says:

    @Colbert

    Lol. It’s moo.

  9. Giles Oakley says:

In Rooney’s case I fear he’ll be looking at the teats…

  10. Costas says:

Maybe Fergie was talking about Wayne’s needs to hook up with prostitutes?

  11. TK says:

Good to have you back Scott.
I think it was a weird week for all Manchester United fans .To have your Talisman ,the one ,whom every Man utd fan ” wanted” him to be our new Captain, demanding to leave our Club for more Silverware .That was absolutely stunning.I don’t know if i can forgive and forget,i hope so ,but that was a stab in the back and to have that thorn from the tree ,you have planted ,was really difficult.I hope this is not a game,so that we can get a better offer in the summer ,simply because i,like everybody else, always thought that Wayne will end his career in the Best Football club in the world.

  12. Rob(son) says:

Hey, I think SAF’s was a much more subtle comment than King Eric’s. It’s certainly not very politically correct and is sexist. But saying that Rooney looked into more than one “field” and “cow” works at more than one level!

  13. Colbert says:

    @Costas

    It’s like a cow’s opinion. It’s moo:)

  14. RedScot says:

    @ Colbert Bahhhhh Bahhhhhh

  15. RedScot says:

I can do a Parrot to lmao

  16. Costas says:

    @Colbert

You have good taste when it comes to comedy, lol.

  17. Colbert says:

    @Costas

You do as well. Love it when you always catch my references, haha.

  18. willierednut says:

Manchester brothels are celebrating the end of a recession having sealed an additional 5 year contract with a local business man.

  19. Costas says:

    @Colbert

I like that they fit perfectly with each instance. Tomorrow lets try to throw some Cably Guy reference in there, ol.

  20. Colbert says:

    @Costas

I do try. (He said smugly, haha)

  21. RedScot says:

@Willie ” additional” you are very naughty!

  22. RedDeviled Egg says:

    Give it time.

I’m sure Rooney will be paying big money to sleep with a cow or some other sort of livestock in the next few years….seems to be a logical progression for him

  23. Colbert says:

    @RedDeviled Egg

Hahaha, that’s so mean! Excellent stuff.

  24. theboogeyman says:

Costa, Colbert- Come on, that’s an obvious joke there! Still, nice show.

  25. Colbert says:

Yes, but someone has to make the easy jokes. It’s hard work:)

  26. FletchTHEMAN says:

Think it is mad cow disease from Rooney.

SAF, ” Well now son, see ya lookin at the green grass in Shities field, with all the well paid cows…..”
Roo, “emmm, well, it’s like, ya knows like”
SAF, “Just to be reminding ya that family means more. Just pointing out that those cows might not be as well tended, or have the hunger for success. Green grass does not bleed Red, lad. Doesn’t bleed a’tall really. That’s not for you lad. Now, come on into my office and let’s have a talk with Uncle Gill.”
Roo, “emmm, well now, I like the color of this money, la”

  27. Costas says:

Yeah, Joey pulled it off quite well. It takes someone special to act stupid, lol.

  28. Colbert says:

Indeed. I’m totally a Joey, haha.

  29. RedKeighley says:

Nice one Scott. I just hope that this has nothing to do with the Grazers!!

  30. Red Devil says:

    @Willierednut

    hahahaha……end of recession indeed! :D :D

  31. FletchTHEMAN says:

Slightly off topic ;) Might make a better T-shirt though……. Scott, please consider!

Right lads, now I understand why Wayne was considering what was on offer from that cow in the other field.
Could happen to any red blooded fan….. When Pamela informed our boy that he would have to switch to Mancini’s new low protein diet, young Roo realized that Sir Alex really did know more about nurturing talent.

  32. willierednut says:

Who the hell is the Grazers? Did they take over from the Glazers? lol.

  33. United1990 says:

    Lol. luv the quote

  36. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Im sick and tired and cant believe rooney has MILKED the situation for more money. Im not jealous or GREEN with envy but i reckon he should find PASTURES new. The squad needs a SHAKE up and rooney has no rigt with the RED TOP on. I have a serious BEEF with rooney and believe hes for the CHOP come january. BURGER me am I the only won CHEESED off? The whole AFFAIR leaves a SOUR taste in my mouth. Well Im CREAM crackered now and FREESUN so Im off to bed. Mrs Goat is in for a treat as I have the HORN.

  37. Colbert says:

    Goatina won this thread.

  38. FletchTHEMAN says:

@Goat, Good posts today. Think he may be gone in the Summer to be honest. This is a bit to much like the Ronaldo affair in my view. I imagine the politics fell apart after SAF called Rooneys bluff and then the follow up to Rooneys own statements showed him to be the shallowest of shallow human beings. This way, everyone saves some face. Hopefully, United get a windfall and can buy a new midfield to bang on into the next 5 years.
    Cheers

  39. Devil310 says:

LOL…..that is the UGLIEST t-shirt i have ever seen, but boy….is it funny? YES!

  40. fergie is the boss says:

    off the topic PPL

I have just got back from watching paranormal activity, and its fantastic film. It does not have the creepy aura of the first film, but this film is allot more edgy and scary about it and non of the characters are safe. The first film has allot to do with the sequel unlike Blair witch 2. And this time the gloves are off, the demon is allot more threatening and dangerous to the family and at times it was unbearable which I thought was lacking in the first film. I highly recommend seeing this film, some hate the first film, but if you loved the first this one does not disappoint.

    I give paranormal activity 2 an 9/10

it defiantly crapped my pants at times

  41. Tony Starks says:

ha funny, was about to show you all the very same article from telegraph!

  42. willierednut says:

Sorry lads, costas beat me to it again lol.

  43. wayne says:

lol never heard this analogy before, theres the dog and the bone, grass is always greener but cow in the field?is that scottish

  44. Costas says:

Heh, we all had the same idea.

The Daily Fail says that it’s 200k per week and that Rooney probably wouldn’t stay if Joel Glazer’s assurances don’t come to fruition.

  45. wayne says:

i’m hearing 160k to 200k anybody know the true amount

  46. willierednut says:

You can see the fake 50 pound notes, with Rooneys face on them, cunts.

  47. willierednut says:

    FITB = Barry Norman lol.

  48. Costas says:

We might never know the exact number, but whatever it is, it’s less than what City were offering. It’s some consolation knowing that he would take the United offer over the City one. As long as they weren’t too far from each other, lol.

I don’t get the telegraph. They post a serious article about Rooney and they stick the 50 pound note down the bottom. Kind of cheapes their work.

  49. Costas says:

Since 180k was discussed a lot earlier today and since the Mail like to talk out of their ass, I am assuming that that’s what Rooney will be getting. But you can never know.

  50. wayne says:

thought paranormal activitity 1 was way overrated couldn’t figure out what was supposed to be scary, the fucking thing was made for 20k and it showed, footprints in the talcum powder..wooo,chick staring over her husband…wooo and it was so easy to predict the end after about 20-30mins,fuckers made alot of money though cost 20k to make grossed over 100 mill just in north america.im in the dvd buisness so i’ve seen 1000′s of movies and am very critical of most

  51. willierednut says:

wayne – You’re in the dvd business, got any JJ on the go?

  52. RedScot says:

@ Bruce thomas if only the udder would spunk out 450 million pounds eh!

  53. Costas says:

Well now that the Rooney saga is put to bed, 3 things will happen:

    1) His “ankle” problems will disappear.
    2) Fergie will stop banning the press, lol.
3)We can go back to talking about JJ. :P

  54. wayne says:

@willierednut sorry for my ignorance whats jj?

  55. RedScot says:

some people wank over Jenna Jameson, Wakey and Paul H and thon other idiot wank over the financial times

  56. willierednut says:

    Jenna Jameson.

  57. wayne says:

@willierednut lol no don’t deal in porn but would have no problem getting them know a couple of guys who own porno stores

  58. RedScot says:

This is you with an IQ OF 142, do us a favour please. Right in sentences you know its easier to read

  59. RedScot says:

Did I write once Scots never give in…….. you better fucking “Believe that”
Get the Yanks out of Old Trafford

  60. Devil310 says:

    Jenna Jameson is SO hot….damn!

  61. wayne says:

@redscot thought we agreed to ignore each other by the way i think its write not right

  62. RedScot says:

Like you I know you saw what I wrote its called a red herring.
Like you are a sprat in my hands….. idiot

  63. fergie is the boss says:

200k no way. Well the glazers tight ducks ass has been forced open by the roonster

  64. RedScot says:

And there is a fan that gave up there seat for plastics like you Wayne

  65. wayne says:

@redscot,its clear we don’t get on i think your a one trick pony who spreads negativity, you think i’m a idiot fair enough i thought we’d agreed to ignore each other

  66. wayne says:

@i’m not a plastic so please don’t go there

  67. RedScot says:

@ Wayne eloborate please what negativity?

  68. Aig alex is god says:

The one man who kept saying rooney would stay was Jose saying he loves united, sir alex and rooney. Er, Jose we know you are the man but no need to be so open about it

possibly Rooney was genuinely worried what will happen after Fergie but he was assured Jose would be the man to take over and that did convince him

  69. RedScot says:

@ Wayne I will leave you for tonight, i seriously do not like falling out with Reds on the blog.
I also dont care for people hiding behind others when i make my comments.
I wont make Scot the Reds blog a war zone, not that this is happening, we were just having a friendly debate.
He supplies the information to us, you either digest it or you dont, your choice.

  70. FletchTHEMAN says:

Don’t know if it has been directly linked, but here is Rooney’s apology.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/8081786/Wayne-Rooney-apologises-to-Manchester-United-team-mates-for-hurt-he-has-caused.html

@AIG Alex, You trying to make me more depressed. Prefer to duel on the positives. This week started as crap, ended up a decent red friday. I would like to leave it a that and see what we can do down at Stoke. Night all.

  71. wayne says:

@redscot don’t worry about leaving me alone i’m a big boy just had to do something ,ok i don’t have a photographic memory like you but the reason this started between us, your hope that utd wouldn’t qualify for the champions league, for whatever reason you think i’m a glazier fan i’m not read my blog 14.19 on the thread so what now, city etc this is how i feel, i hadn’t seen you around for along time and then something bad happens and every comment ended in get the glaziers out i agree but not at the destruction of utd.

  72. FletchTHEMAN says:

    *dwell*

  73. RedScot says:

@wayne, you may be a big boy , I am 18 years old, I get your bretheran Yanks are plundering our club.
I do have a photograhic memory that is true, to people whom i like and dislike.
i never said in my lifetime” i hope United will not win the Champions league” if you read my posts, its highly inprobable. dO YOU THINK WE WILL.
Yes everything ends with getting the “Glazier Glazer out” you got that in a one. Well played. You are on side now.
You did not answer my question i asked of you ” what negativity”?

  74. wayne says:

@redscot another thing don’t agree to ignore each other then attack me,when i tried to make peace i was told you wouldn’t blog with me,make up your mind you want gloves off makes no difference to me

  75. fergie is the boss says:

Aig – I defended rooney contently that I also felt and shared with what rooney said, and I believed him that he saw uniteds lack of spending and with fergie scholes giggs VDS neville going all within 4 years. And seemingly no money being spent, it was about time some player in the dressing room stood up for the fans and said what was needed to be said. Buy some damn players, because it seems to me that rooney’s view on the lack of spending seems to be a big part of the reason why he did want to leave. I still do not believe he is on 250 k a week.

  76. fergie is the boss says:

But there has been to many yes men at united, it is about time someone said what the fans have been thinking. This club needs to be given fergie the tools to go out and rebuild the team, before fergie does hand the keys to the next boss.

  77. RedScot says:

@ Wayne ” attack” lmao pmsl you clearly do not know Scottish people.

  78. wayne says:

@redscott see now your getting confused, you were hoping utd wouldn’t qualify for the champions league this year which means not finishing in the top 4 if thats not negativtity don’t know what is.by the way i love billy connolly heard a interview the other day what surprised me doesn’t trust a scotsman in a killit, think i remember in my little brain your going to the protest in a killit, fucking love billy connolly

  79. RedScot says:

@Wayne in Florida, pass round the crack, it will make it easier.
i am going to the protest that is true.
I think if you are applying your disjointed thinking to me, yes a loss in getting to the quarters of the champions league, would put the Glazer’s fine margins they play with under pressure.Dont you?
I still wish you could write in sentences!
I am thicker than the big yen

  80. StatesideAussie says:

Not sure if this has been posted/discussed elsewhere, but The Guardian is now reporting the new deal is for 160k a week, which, if reports earlier are correct, is around about what the club was originally planning to offer anyway (150k-160k). Interesting!

  81. wayne says:

@redscott i know the glaziers come from florida its a reference in someway connect to me? i’m sure you didn’t bother to read what i hoped you would,i left school at 16 with 4 o’levels so my education is not the best, that has nothing to do with iq,i’ve met some very stupid people with master degrees

  82. SmartAlex says:

    @FletchTHEMAN @21:03

    Very Funny!

  83. fergie is the boss says:

wayne – HAHAHA and some of the master degrees are working at the houses of parliment

  84. xol says:

Just looking at the match previews. Apparently, we’ve put 210 crosses into the box so far – more than any other team. It’s got to come together at some point. I miss Valencia though.

  85. RedScot says:

I am sorry i cant continue to do his, I am now Redscott and its the Glaziers.
A human(possibly) communication breakdown, me thinks Zep me.
    Night Reds for now

  86. wayne says:

@fergie is the boss thats the reason we’re all fucked

  87. wayne says:

@redscott every reference you connect me to florida i’m just asking for a explaination

  88. United4eva says:

    The price of ambition: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3193705/Wayne-Rooney-on-250k-a-week.html

There seems to be disagreement between the papers about the exact package total. Rooney seems to be on £160k basic salary and depending upon how much you think his new image rights payments and bonuses are worth the full weekly salary computes to above £200k per week and different sources are now saying it is as high as £250k per week.

  89. cantona7 says:

i have to say GoatinaUnitedshirt you posted the most brilliant comment in a long time. hahahahaha.

  90. Adyl says:

The only thing that can make me happy out of this whole episode is if we start winning away from this weekend onwards.

  91. Jeet says:

Ronney says that he has had to “think very hard about it”…err…Rooney THINKS??

  92. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

The only think that has made me happy after this whole Rooney episode is that city are the losers again. Trying to be big, but they’ve become even smaller than they already are. I’m really glad that Sir Alex has had the last laugh in all of this. But its sickening. Especially for the fact that he gave the daftest of reasons. Ambition. Yeah right. It’s difficult, so love and adore a player so much only to be disrespected in such a way. So now when he scores, it won’t be celebrated as how it usually would be celebrated. And if he misses a sitter he’ll get all the criticism i reckon.

Okay, then let’s get to winning ways again! We need to have ambition you know! ;)

  93. Dr.Hannibal says:

    @Goat superb post.
in glazers case united is the cow n they r milking money out of it forget about grass or the field it can feed to produce milk i mean not investing in players .Holy cow!!

  94. Colbert says:

    Guys

Just had to say this; Jenna Jameson ain’t so no more

    http://www.thebuzzmedia.com/jenna-jameson-scared-my-penis/

    Yikes!

  95. Costas says:

Lol, yeah I should point out that when I am talking about JJ, I am refering to the version we saw until 2004. I don’t know who took her place after that…

As for Rooney, it would be interesting to see what his pay rise was. It would put this whole story in perspective. I don’t believe it’s 250k though! Only the Sun would c ome up with that.

  96. bobkoh says:

I hope this is a kick in our own butt to get us going against Stoke. 2-0 to United!

  97. dela says:

    Morning all.

I am glad the saga is over, but no matter how many goals he scores, I can never look at Wazza the way I used to. Sigh. We live in a world full of selfish mercenaries- I suppose Wayne is the rule rather than the exception.

    @Colbert
That’s two heartbreaks in one week. First Wayne and now Jenna? What is the world coming to?

  98. Colbert says:

Yes, it’s a cruel cruel world:)

  99. CedarsDevil says:

    @ Costas

Safe to say you can replace JJ with SS (Shyla Stylez) Not that I know (cough cough) just heard!! LOL

Morning all, cannot wait for the game tomorrow, C’MON YOU REDS

  100. Colbert says:

Shyla Stylez is good, she’s pure filth. I was always a Briana Banks man myself. She’s looking a little rough now after 10 years in the biz, but she’s still got it! Haha

  101. carloc1978 says:

hi everyone have been a fan of the this website for a couple of years and am on here most nights reading the comments you all make. the last couple of days during this rooney saga have done nothing else but read so thought it was about time i got myself signed up so i could also comment on one of the biggest loves of my life manchester united. i must say scott you do a fantastic job fair play to you mate! must say 3 points needed bigtime this weekend just hope the lads can forget about the shit of the past week and focus on wining this match and putting us back in the race for number 19!

  102. Costas says:

There’s another JJ guys. Jesse Jane. :)

  103. CedarsDevil says:

    @ Colbert

Shyla is not a favourite of mine, Naomi Russel is, again, not that I know just been told hahahaha

  104. CedarsDevil says:

It is heart warming to see that all the tension from the last few days has died down… Personally I was so drained from the Rooney saga its beyond words…..

Let us just go to Stoke and do what we do best, WIN and WIN in style…..

    UNITED for life

  105. samuel - united WE stand says:

The cow quote was directed at rooney trying to jump ship, sir alex meant when you have something, you always wanna look outside to see if someone else has got a better one and you get tempted to want that too, not sure why people are making a big deal out of it, calling it a “bizzare” saying e.t.c, probably because most football journalist in this country are thick as a plank.

This is what seperates united’s legendary manager to any other, he is unique and expresses himself in the most unusual away, manchester united is a club who has a tradition of players with huge characters playing for them, i.e eric cantona.

i’m a massive fan of sir alex, he is genius of a manager, scotland always seem to produce them though, probably because of there upbringing.

  106. Aig alex is god says:

Rooney is getting 160k a week. Fair enough me thinks. Anyways we all knew when he would sign a new deal he will become the highest paid player at the club

  107. samuel - united WE stand says:

@CedarsDevil – i wouldn’t get my hopes too up if i were you, stoke are gonna bombard us, can this defence withstand the pressure? We shall see, we have to be effective, we can’t be missing too many chances and can’t be give them many either, kenwyne jones worries me, won’t be easy and won’t be pretty either, i’d be delighted if we nick it though, hopefully evra and the whole defence wake up, maybe they need strong coffee? lol

  108. samuel - united WE stand says:

@Aig – rooney getting that amount doesn’t rest easy with me, wages in football just seem to be spiralling out of control, players really are ripping off fans who love the game but what can fans do? Well as long he performs or he’ll be getting abuse, long gone are the days in which we’d treat rooney different to every other player, if he plays crap we shouldn’t be giving excuses for him.

  109. CedarsDevil says:

    @ samuel

I know it won’t be easy but I am sure we have the class and strength to finally get our first away win in the league….. I fancy Hernandez getting the winner in a 2-1 win……… Jones worries me too, but Rio and Vidic will handle him

  110. samuel - united WE stand says:

Yes we do have the class to do enough to win the game, we just need to keep concentration beyond 90mins, we need to punish most mistake stoke might game and gotta be resolute at the back, its a game that i’m gonna be on the edge for the duration of the match, not getting comfortable even if we lead, like you said though hopefully rio and vida sort him out.

Have you listen to obesed cunt micky quinn saying vidic ain’t world class? a center back that scares the shit out of most strikers, he is not called vida the monster for no reason you know? I know he got exposed by torres a few season back but not many get the better of him, so i’m perplexed why he is still not getting credit.

Next thing he’ll say carragher is world class and comparable to the greatest defender, pool have so much “world class” players that hopefully westham will be going above them today in the relegation zone , makes me laugh the amount of fools on that station.

  111. CedarsDevil says:

Agree with you, but who the fuck is micky quinn? No one worthy of a mention here, stupid little piece of shit

  112. Jeet says:

If you replace “cow” with “cunt” you got it…he is OUR cunt, but biy, he is some cunt…
PS: Briana Banks is awesome…takes me back to my student days…:)

  113. CedarsDevil says:

I did mean quinn of course!

  114. MG says:

Morning – have all the idiots gone…

    Sir Alex

“You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? Well, who the hell else are you talkin’ to? You talkin’ to me? Well, I’m the only one here. Who the f–k do you think you’re talkin’ to?”

    Wayne Rooney (looking shell shocked)

“My Mama always said, ‘Life was like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get.’”

    Sir Alex

“I’m gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse.”

    Wayne Rooney

    “Go ahead, make my day.”

    Sir Alex

    “There’s no place like home.”

    Wayne Rooney (in tears)

“I’m the king of the world!”

    Sir Alex

…The names Ferguson. Sir Alex Ferguson

    ;)

  115. Costas says:

    @MG

Lol, yeah looks like the idiots are gone. Rom is back to normal.

  116. Colbert says:

    @Jeet

She certainly is. You have excellent taste, sir.

  117. MG says:

    Costas

Hell broke loose – all the idiots came out of the woodwork – and now they are gone

So much for supporting United – never there when it matters only when they want to make a point whatever that it is

    For United

  118. Gorse Hill Red says:

Nice pic, would be better if it had a couple of seagulls flying above!

  119. MIDDYRED says:

NICE DESIGN! THE MORE WE SELL THE MORE WE CAN AFFORD TO PAY SHREK HIS FCKIN WAGES.

  120. Bill says:

    Love Udders Hate Grazers

  121. RedGem says:

    EAT MORE CHIKIN.

  122. CCcracker says:

Sir Alex is talking about his wife.
