The Best Player In Europe Belongs To United… Again

Unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo was named the best in Europe last night at the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards ceremony. He becomes just the sixth player from an English club and the fourth United player to win the award, following on from Stanley Matthews, Denis Law, Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Michael Owen.

Only five clubs have had more European Footballers of the Year than United (Juventus, Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich).

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi was voted second whilst Liverpool Fernando Torres finished third.

“I dreamt of this when I was younger,” said Ronaldo. “It’s a great day for me and my family.”

Congratulations Cristiano.

CR7 gets booed BECAUSE he is the best player, playing for UTD. Simple jealousy.

this guy has nothing to prove again. the award was given based on a past performance. he does not need to perform to justify the award. he can only perform to give himself another chance of winning it again. viva ronaldo!!!
