Fatcat – United were in the relegation zone when Fergie took over. Chelsea were the 2nd best team in England, had just reached the CL semis, and Mourinho had an everlasting cheque book. Please, please don’t try to compare what Fergie has achieved with United to what Mourinho did at Chelsea.

In Mourinho’s last season we had the upper-hand, convincingly, despite Chelsea signing one of the best defenders, midfielders and strikers in Europe the summer before. We saw him off because we won the league and he got sacked. Simple as that.

not sure Mourinho would have been sacked had he won a major competition in the previous year, it’s a case of what came first…in reality it was probably a bit of both, but not winning a major competition is the opening that Abramovich needed to be able to say no more to Mourinho without feeling he was harming the club…

what you are trying to say is that even though murinho was fired because roman abrom got tired of the boring shit that was being played at the bridge that somehow correlates back to you. and murinho was in charge of chelsea only 3 years but couldn’t get them to the ucl final agreed, but it took sir alex a while, with basically the only good team in england to make it to the final himself, and after that there was a 9 year wait. the champions league isnt like the league. its impossible for someone to fluke their way to a league title, but in the champions league it happens all the time. i fully expect that had he been a bit luckier against the scouse pieces of shit, he might well have won it twice, just as how i expect if you had beaten porto in 04, it would of been yours. the champions league is about 70% skill and then 30% luck(unless we’re talking about Liverpool, then its usually 100% luck) and you have to have it on your side. overall 2 league titles and an fa and league cup in 3 years isnt bad.

however i can say i do like the majority of your articles, keep writing its quite entertaining.

Fatcat – the fact that in Mourinho’s last season we won the title and then he got sacked, whilst Fergie kept his job and went on to win the league title and CL, is testament to fact we saw him off. In the past, with Ranieri’s team, Mourinho did well… but he didn’t last and when it came to buying his own players he was exposed. He couldn’t keep it up for more than two seasons and he lost his job because of it. SIR Alex Ferguson is still going… as the manager of the English, European and World Champions. Mourinho couldn’t even buy the European Cup for Chelsea and half-wit Avram Grant made it further in the competition than he did lol.

exactly how did you see off mourinho. in the three full seasons he was in england his team won the the league twice as compared to you lot winning it once. he made it to the semis of the ucl twice as compared to your one time. he beat you lot most of the time that you played him including the fa cup final. by all accounts, mourinho dominated you lot, but you still believe you saw him off. Incredible!!!!!!!!!

I have seen Inter a couple of times since we were drawn wth them, but with all due respect I have never for once seen them as a threat to us defending the CL.
They have been getting away with bad performances, the most recent been last Sunday when they won against Milan. They really dont deserve three points on the night.
I am sure Fergy would outcoach Mourinho come the 24th. Again, I can,t see them scoring against us both home and away. Evans would be able to deal with Adriano and Rio will surely take care of Ibrahimovic. I know it is not as simple as that but they are just below par. Inter is the most overrated team presently in Europe.

Carrick will get them, believe me they dont have a midfield to match Scholesy and Carrick. Muntari plays almost as a defender in his quest to support their centre halfs.

Then you look at what we got up front. Berba, Rooney and Ronaldo against walter Samuel, and that chap who was at Roma when we put seven past them( I have forgotten his name), Cordoba, it would be a handful for them. We just can’t afford to waste chances.

Inter are not that much of a threat in Europe even this season they finished behind Panathiniakos tn thier group(no disrespect to them). They are specially vulnerable on the road. If we return from sansiro with a draw or even 2-1 defeat, we still can trash them at OT. But I am all confident we will beat this ageing side at thier home turf.

I think we’ll win, possibly win both legs too, the San Siro is massive and so our team will have plenty of space to play, not to mention the running Park, Fletcher, Rooney, Tevez, Anderson will be doing closing down space all the time while Vieira, Stankovic, Cambiasso just don’t have the same legs, Ibrahimovic will obviously be a threat as he’s massive, we can’t under estimate Inter but if we sort ourselves out, it should be a win for us.

You have to admire Jose’s record against SAF but with that squad he’s got at Inter I’d be surprised if they managed to beat us over two legs. The gulf in talent should get us through it but complacency is never advisable in Europe. We’ve got a major score to settle with Mourinho after the Porto fiasco and after years of occupying the moral high ground over Scholesy’s disallowed goal, here’s the opportunity to knock that smarmy fcuker out of Europe – something most United fans have been waiting to see for FAR too long!
