Today’s The Day For Macheda?

Federico Macheda has had plenty of tongues wagging recently, with devout followers of our younger players tipping him for big things. Just last week he scored a hattrick against Newcastle Reserves to salvage a point for us.

With Dimitar Berbatov injured and Wayne Rooney suspended for this afternoon’s game against Aston Villa, Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed we could get a look at our young striker.

“Berbatov and Rooney missing is a bad blow to us, but it’s there and there’s nothing we can do about it,” said Ferguson. “I’ve got options of course. I could play Ronaldo through the middle, I could play Welbeck, I could play Macheda or I could play Giggs – the great thing is the flexibility of players, Giggs, Ronaldo, those types. The boy Macheda is developing at a great rate of speed now, his performances for the reserves have been very good, he’s a natural finisher and he’ll definitely be on the bench at least with Welbeck.”

i say stick him on the bench at least

  2. swissred says:

i hope we’ll play with some of the less bigger names today. on several occasions we saw that these lads are capable of it. it brings some fresh air into the team and certainly the players who are not playing on a regular basis will be desperate to prove fergie their ability.

i guess (hope) the line-up will be something like this:
    vds
    rafael – ferdinand – evans – evra
ronaldo – fletch – carrick – park (giggs)
    welbeck – tevez

is rafael ready to play? who would be his backup? i would also support a lineup without ronaldo, maybe playing park and nani on the wings.

eh, did i mention that this is a must win game for us? i’m desperately hoping for an early goal to calm my (and the players) nerves… i hope they come out like a real united team and give their all from the first minute. please support them as loud as you can, if you are lucky enough to be at Old Trafford today!!!

    COME ON YOU REDS!

  3. redgister says:

cant believe all the nervous comments on here come on lads its a must win support your team have you 4gotten man u are the greatest club ever after all the team you are chasing are a2man lucky team with a shite manager LIVERPOOL FC

  4. costas says:

I think Tevez will be partnered by Giggs or Ronaldo. It’s a shame that Macheda is left out.Anyway a 4-3-3 system with a lot of movement and interchanging from the 3 frontmen should be enough to open them up.We need goals as well guys.

  5. costas says:

Redgister you won’t be hearing United fans booing the players no matter what happens today. That’s your job.Remember Fulham at home?

  6. sim_sima69 says:

what a goal to complete the hattrick

  7. Kings says:

His 3rd against Newcastle was class, the way he killed the ball and slotted it under the keeper was sublime. Give him a chance and don’t waste him like we did with Rossi.

  8. costas says:

swissred,Rafa is not ready. He is not far behind now.I just hope Wes recovers soon.

  9. redgister says:

true costas whats worse leaving the ground with 15min to go all booing your team at fulltime 50 50 i reckon both disrespecful

  10. rooney_thebestest says:

Neville is supposed to be coming into the team today..As for Macheda…put him on the bench and if need be bring the kid on…looks good from what i saw in the Newcastle game and a couple of other reserve games…he can interchange passes quickly and can move past players…not great pace but seems like he has got a good head on his shoulders,,hope he comes good….also what is up with Petrucci ..havent heard a lot abt him…

  11. Gibbs says:

redgister, not to speak too kindly of our rivals, but you have to admit that the scouse bastards have been in great form, and played brilliant football the last the last 4-5 weeks, not just because of Stevie Me and Torres…

  12. costas says:

rooney_thebestest Macheda is not in the squad unfortunately.I think that our team will be

    VDS-O’Shea(or Nev),Rio,Evans,Evra-Park,Carrick,Fletch,Nani(or Giggs)-Tevez,Ronaldo.

Redgister they are both disrepsectful but we never left Old Trafford with 15 minutes to play.If you are referring to the LIverpool game, that means that they started leaving when the score was 1-2 and we still had 11 out there. Not a chance.5 minutes before the end sounds more like it.

  13. Gibbs says:

My hopes are on Tevez and Welbeck up front, I think Macheda could need one more year before he makes it to the first team.

  14. rooney_thebestest says:

I hope Nani is there..I personally feel that he deserves more chances…too often we have gone in for Park when Nani could have been a good punt…Too bad we wont be able to see Macheda…but the lad has got plenty of time on his side.

  15. costas says:

Notice that Anderson is not in the squad.I wonder if Fergie might give us an update about him after the game.I hope the thigh strain isn’t too serious.

  16. rooney_thebestest says:

I wish he isnt injured seriously because Anderson is the only midfielder we have who has both bite and creativity

  17. Anderson8 says:

Say what you will Macheda looks 4 times better then wellback

  18. costas says:

rooney_thebestest i agree. When he has his head in the game though. We all slated him against Liverpool, but the fact is he was still coming back from an injury.Everyone(apart from Rooney of course) takes time to get settled. And now he is injured again. And the worst part is,he got injured training for Brazil all the while he was never going to play a game for them at the time.

Anderson8 you might be right but SAF would never trust a player for his United debut at Squeaky bum time.

  19. redgister says:

sorry costas but you are wrong in every comment 1st of all watch the replay the footage clearly shows fans! leaving around the 75th min

  20. Anderson8 says:

Even if Ando wasnt injured SAF will probably play his vulnarable 4-4-2 with giggs and fletch in the middle,my thinking is the old man is to hesitant to use the youngsters becaus lets face Ando is by a mile better then fletch but due to the fact that SAF is in love with his to God chilldren(O’shea and fletch) the more talented players will just sit on the bench for example fabio is way beta then oshea dats my peice n im out

  21. costas says:

Maybe they left at half time?Come on redgister let’s be serious.

  22. corea says:

Also hope Fabio will get the chance.
But common! Lets face it. It is too dangerous in the game we must win.
O’Shea will play. And i doubt these days Ando is better player than Fletch.

  23. costas says:

Fletch has been the better player this season that’s true. But i feel that the best combination when everyone is on form is Carrick and Anderson.

  24. Marq says:

I don’t think Welbeck will start. Probably Tevez with Ronaldo up front. We Giggs, Fletcher, Scholes & Park to start

  25. corea says:

    costas

    no, my friend ;) Hargo-Scholesy )

  26. sim_sima69 says:

i can see giggs played behind tevez..they seemed to link up well during the carling cup games..and if i remember correctly we scored quite a few goals in those games too…

  27. corea says:

Oh my Carling Cup. You can not judge on it.

  28. costas says:

corea would you go for Scholes at this stage of his career?Of course,Hargo’s presence would allow him to have more freedom in his play but i think we need two players who can track back and go forward with the same ability. That’s why i went for Carrick and Ando. One thing is for sure.It will be a long time before we see Hargreave and Scholes play together.

  29. corea says:

    costas

    “when everyone is on form”

your words ;) i didn’t see the best of Ando. Carrick for me isn’t that gutsy.
For me Hargo is the first choice covering midfielder. without doubt.

  30. Marq says:

Ops, forgot Carrick. Carrick in place of Park, Fletcher on the right

  31. micheal says:

well the good news is berbetov is out, macheda a unknown quantity so I doubt he will risk it, fergie will propbly go for ronaldo and tevez in attack. my 11 would be

    vds
    o shea ferdinand evans evra
    carrick fletcher
    nani/park ronaldo tevez giggs

  32. rooney_thebestest says:

@costas…Hargo and Anderson would be a great pairing….both can hassle people off the ball and both have bundles of energy…I dunno why but Carrick seems lightweight for big teams…Never felt that he could boss the game…just a personal feeling….
@ corea…scholsey likes to sit deep nowadays and with him and Hargo we wouldnt have a balanced midfield because we need one of them to venture forward enough to make runs in the box or give that killer ball.

  33. costas says:

Marq Scholes can’t play remember.Park,Carrick,Fletcher and Nani(or Giggs) wll be our midfield.

Corea i meant on form but in their current age. These days i prefer Scholesy coming of the bench and making an impact. The same with Giggs.I agree that Hargreaves is gutsier.I just wish next year we get a big season from the lad.He deserves one.

  34. corea says:

    ok ok ) that’s just a dream (

  35. javan says:

When all is said an done utd need to win that much is obvious.
I actually feel that at this part of the season is where Hargreaves will be missed( and felt that way since it was announced that he would be out for the season.)
As he has big game experience and can play in various positions with quality and authority.
Hoping that next season we can see a team along the lines of…
Foster-Need to be making 1st choice
    Rafael-or Wes/Fabio
Evra-As long as he´s not up against Lennon/Walcott/SWP
    Vidic
    Ferdinand
    Hargreaves-Gives utd energy and quality
    Carrick-quarter back style player
    Anderson-Same as Hargreaves
    Rooney-Nuff said
Berbatov-Needs to pick up his performances but technically as good as anyone
    Ribery/Etoó-Needed to replace Ronaldo.

  36. mrmyagki says:

    team just announced!

    vds
    neville
    oshea
    evans
    evra
    nani
    carrick
    fletcher
    giggs
    ronaldo
    tevez

    subs
    macheda
    welbeck
    lee martin
    darron gibson
    eckersley
    foster

  37. corea says:

    JoS central defender (
No Fabio. Fabio didn’t play the reserves game, wtf ?

  38. micheal says:

o shea in the middle that is a disaster waiting to happen, I am hoping even though neville is not the player he was is at the heart of the defence, the middlesbro game away last april showed why oshea cant play at CB.

  39. doncobaino says:

oh this is gonna be a long afternoon

look at the ‘experience’ we have on the bench

    Welbeck, Gibson, Martin, Macheda, Eckersley.

its a day for the big boys like ronaldo and tevez to stand up and be counted

JOS in defense _ :S im worried

  40. costas says:

Just have to wait and see whether Nev plays at right back or centre half. What does Fabio have to do to sit on the bench?Come on!

  41. FFS COME ON YOU REDS says:

Villas wingers are going to be too speedy for gary or oshea so it really doesnt matter who plays there. Carew is huge so it wont be a good idea to pit rednev against him. this is going to be intense. im going for a high scoring match. im pretty sure agbonlahor, young, milner and barry are going to cause our defence a lot of trouble. just hope that our attack hogs most of the possession so the defence hardly has to play..

  42. costas says:

That Vidic sending off is hampering us for the 3rd game in a row.It will be difficult for this defence to handle Carew and Agbonlahor if we sit for 5 minutes back.We have to attack them until we have scored 2 or 3.

  43. Mahesh says:

soooo??? what do we do now? Someone like Macheda on?

  44. costas says:

No surprise for me.Without Rooney we can’t peg them back and without Rio or Vida we are vulnerable at the back and especially the high balls.Today we are like a team with no beggining and no end.We need to peg them back.Establish ourselves.I don’t know if Macheda is the answer.

  45. corea says:

    we need luck today.
i don’t really see what reserves we have in case we will have to get from behind.
tevez just isn’t effective as an alone central striker. but to be fair he played for his country at the end of the world.
    hope is the only hope.

  46. Drew Vader says:

I’d say put on Park for Giggs and move Ronaldo up top….

    It won’t happen though…

  47. Drew Vader says:

    Fletch is playing well

  48. Mahesh says:

Right now I would be surprised if we got one point, forget three. Every time villa go forward, our defense seems to be at sixes and sevens…If this is how it is, I would send on a few of the youngsters…give macheda his debut…tevez needs support and in a debutant we will have someone desperate to score…I want park on as well…someone who’ll work his socks off…GN off for sure, don’t know who else…

  49. Mahesh says:

Honestly, how much do we miss rooney…his sending off was the worst thing that could have happened to us at fulham…

  50. corea says:

    disaster my friends (((

  51. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    nani+ronaldo

    please slap these men

  52. Mahesh says:

If there ever has been a meltdown, this is it…having said that I think we need to keep this in perspective…We have a game in hand which can see us one point ahead…I would have taken that any day…what I am concerned about is momentum..

  53. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    Macheda looks good

  54. gotta hate tiny tears says:

really good hes fast good brain and 100% effert

he’s helpin tevez out to drop a bit deeper

  55. seanmc26 says:

I’ve been a big supporter of CR7 i’d let him go on a bosman with mood im in wat a wanker if he had a little bit of Fletchers heart he’d be twice the player he is, what was fergie thinking neville against carew i know im going to get stick but he is past his best every time he’s played this season he’s been torn to shreds

  56. Kevin says:

He is playing well and working his socks off. Fighting off challenges and his some what poor touch.

When Ronaldo plays like a man and does not let the treatment he receives get in his head he does things like score that goal. He got fouled, got on with the play, got back up, sprinted for his team, got in a good position and finished it. When he pouts and does not give his all he loses the ball and Villa are allowed to push forward without him tracking back at all. He redemmed himself and he seems really up for it now. COME ON UNITED!

LOOK AT TEVEZ TRACKING BACK THERE! SIGN HIM UP!!!

  57. Anastasia74 says:

  90. keith_mac says:

tevez is a fucking legend…….Macheda….wat can u say wat a goal…a sledge hammer straight through the hearts of all dippers…..reminds me of the everton game a couple years ago

  91. Mahesh says:

You know what!!! The fact that this blog entry was put up, the fact that macheda was even on the team sheet, the fact that we went down 2-1, the fact that SAF brought the lad on, the fact that we went into time added – EVERY SINGLE THING TELLS ME THIS WAS PURE FUCKING FATE!!! IT HAD TO HAPPEN!!!!

  92. John Ferry says:

WOW. Great goal. This might mean that Tevez might be forced out. I would rather keep a Macheda, Tevez, and Rooney partnership. But I think that there is no way that SAF would keep Tevez over Berva. Macheda has amazing pace.

  93. Kiko's Right Foot says:

    KIKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
    WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  94. costas says:

I hope Macheda can play a role in the coming games ahead. We gotta push on from here and I think we absolutely well. Come on United!

  107. Daryl Ng says:

  123. Mahesh says:

Drew I was thinking the same thing – that celebration made it so worth it…the sight of a kid going up to his family to celebrate his first goal for the biggest club in the world just made that sooo much more special!

  124. Anon says:

in Martin Tyler’s words:” ANYTHING STEVEN GERRARD CAN DO, FREDERICO MACHEDA CAN TOO”
I’L ADD: ANYTHING GERRARD CAN DO, MACHEDA CAN DO BETTER

  125. Marq says:

    Interview with Macheda
Reporter:What instructions did Sir Alex give you before sending you on?
    Macheda: Jus play, Jus play
Reportor: What was on your mind when you received the ball from Giggs?
Macheda: Score a goal, Score a goal, Score a goal
Reportor: Not many people have heard of you before, do you think it has changed today?
    Macheda: Hope so
Reportor: You are our man of the match for scoring the winng goal, but I’m not sure its legal for you to drink yet, so I’ll give the Champagne to your captain, Neville
    Macheda: -Takes it anyway-
    ~Legend in the making~

  126. Mahesh says:

I also need to see SAF’s post match interview…Like someone said this might indicate the end of Tevez as well, but I for one hope that SAF will reward Tevez for the heart he showed today…just for today, I’ll sign him up…We have been champions so long because we build around a bunch of players with heart…and Tevez gives us just that…Standout performaces today: Tevez, Kiko…but above all, Darren Fletcher…

  127. Drew Vader says:

    Hell yeah Mahesh….

82 minute, Carliots loses the ball and then busts his fucking guts out sprinting 3/4s the length of the pitch to track back and ends up sweeping up in our box….Right there, sign him up. Sign him the fuck up.

  128. manutd24 says:

He looks great. No wonder United poached off Lazio youth system when he was just in his early teens.

  129. drok says:

    scott is jesus..

  130. manutd24 says:

Earlier in the morning, I was dismissing this post to be honest. No I’m wrong and you win again Scott.

  131. doncobaino says:

    TODAYS THE DAY…..:D

  132. Mahesh says:

Drew – yep, that moment sticks out…I recall thinking “how the hell did carlitos manage to get back into our own box?”

  133. manutd24 says:

Earlier in the morning, I was dismissing this post to be honest. Seeing how well executed his goal definitely gets my tongue wagging.

  134. Mahesh says:

Everyone – It doesn’t matter to the player himself, but I just want to send a huuuge shout out to Darren Fletcher. For me, he is Man United personified…He might not be as talented as some of the other players, but he more than makes up for it with heart…

  135. Anon says:

FUCKING STEVE MCMAN. SCOUSE FUCK THINKS FERGIE ISNT MANLY ENOUGH COZ HE GAVE AN INTERVIEW AFTER THIS WIN, AND DIDN’T AFTER THE FULHAM AND LIVERPOOL GAMES

    @ Drew – couldn’t have made it clearer myself….

  137. Mahesh says:

Anon- who the fuck cares about what steve mcmanaman thinks – he’s just a bitter dipper right now…and i honestly love the fact that losing pisses off our manager to the extent that it does…

  138. Drew Vader says:

Yep Mahesh, I’m with you again dude. In the 86th minute (I’ve watched the last ten mins again) Fletch made those two tackles on sheer effort alone, the second when YSB Barry took to long and Fletch made up the ground to block his clearance, and it lead directly to Ronaldo getting a shot of. Brilliant Fletch.

  139. Kings says:

Boy did he deliver….what a cracking goal from the lad. Hopefully the first of many. I’m fucked after all that!

  140. Marq says:

Who cares, we back on top!
    Future’s looking bright!
Macheda, Welbeck, Possenbon, Gibson, Anderson, Rafael, Fabio, Evans, Foster
Thats the team for the next decade! Hell, even current stars, Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani are on the right side of 25

  141. bruce thomas says:

    GAME, SET AND MACHEDA! :)

  142. Xyth says:

    IT CERTAINLY WAS.

Macheda has probably just saved our season!

  143. Drew Vader says:

What a save from YSB Friedel on Welbecks chance….

    And I like that Bruce!!!

  144. Mahesh says:

I can’t stop talking about this!!!!

  145. swissred says:

what a day… NEVER WRITE UNITED OFF!!! late drama, im dying… that simply has to give us that boost we needed! it’s great to read from so many united fans celebrating here, i luv it, just luv it!!!
@marq thx for the macheda interview, great!

note about tevez: do you guys really think fergie will make up his mind based on this game? scoring a late winner does not make macheda a regular starter next season. he shows lots of talent, but still has to learn alot. i like tevez’ performances but you have to say that he acts quite unluckily. as a striker he will be measured by his goals, and they are simply not (yet) flowing in. seeing him as a regular starter would certainly help him and i hope he gets his chances.

  146. Mahesh says:

Also lads, just a note on Ronaldo – He’s had a below par season, but notice, he’s on top of the PL scoring charts…I don’t know if he’s stay next season, but I hope he’s got his loyalties straight and stays on…he showed some bollocks today just at the right times…

  147. Drew Vader says:

I hope I don’t break my DVR from watching this goal so many times….

  148. Duncan says:

Should probably be congatulating Ole rather than fucking Scott. Idiots.

  149. Mahesh says:

@Drew – I’m green with envy right now – I NEED to watch the last 10 mins again. If anyone has the technical know-how to put the last 10 mins online here, I for one would really appreciate it…

  150. LB says:

    Heart attack… United We Rule!

  151. mccready says:

As Andy Gray said “A Star is born…” but we all knew that before we even found out he made the bench, right? :P

  152. Wakey says:

Mahesh Said “Standout performaces today: Tevez”

I personally though Tevez was awful today. While there is much to admire about his ‘Energizer bunny’ attitude its ineffective in those kinds of situations and has a negative impact on the rest of the team. He needs someone right up with him, not having someone like Giggs who ultimately ends up playing in midfield playing up with him (Rooney is the same imho although is slightly better suited as he is a little happier playing as an out and out striker). Tevez was so much better when Macheda came on (as was the whole team) which gave us a better balance, more edge and gave us more of an outlet

  153. five says:

Just a few minutes after he came on and a Villa player took him down in the box and he got up and got into the player’s face I msgd my friend on MSN right then that I like this kid…he’s got passion.

And then he does that, even if he magically morphs into Daniel Nardiello levels of mediocrity I will love him. Amazing stuff

  154. Farhan Borst says:

someone pls put last 15mins of the match. intense.

  155. gotta hate tiny tears says:

p.s. 20/1 for him to score last

    thank you again son

  156. Kings says:

Another pleasing thing about Macheda was the way he stood up to Barry ,after the fucking scouse vermin cunt picked him up of the floor.

  157. RedHaryy4Life says:

    KIKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  158. costas says:

I left for 45 minutes but i still can’t get the grin of my face.MACHEDAAAA!

  159. Marq says:

By the way, he looks like Totti doesn’t he? Hope he becomes jus as good a player, haha. He’s got a good first touch, something Welbeck could learn from

  160. RedHaryy4Life says:

    OH FUCK ME!!!!!

Thought wed fuck up again. I said the other night that the Kid had gone way up in my estimation with the way he took his goals against newcastle.

    MACHEDA!!!!!!!!

  161. kevin says:

To watch someone like Forlan – a quality striker – struggle to get one goal for so long and then to see that kid score an amazing goal in front of his family… awesome!

    Could only happen at Utd.

Plus Giggs new to give him the ball – you could tell he could make something happen by his movement. Did you see his movement off the ball? Excellent – made a lot more space and brought Tevez back into the game.

Tevez and Fletcher both unlucky not to get man of the match after excellent performances after internationals.

Apparently Rio went nuts down Alan Green’s microphone – has anyone got a copy I’d love to hear that!

  162. costas says:

    First quote of man.utd.com:

“It’s not called the Theatre of Dreams for nothing.”
Damn right.Guys what did you think about Ronaldo’s appearance today? He looked like he didn’t have his usual spark in getting past defenders but after the 60th minuted he was brilliant. And i loved his reactions in the end.More of that Ronnie!

  163. corea says:

ridiculous. there are some scouser friend that think that when Macheda scored the goal it was the defender’s error.
We let them into our garden. Poor scousers, how dreamy and confident are they and how “happy” they will be at the end of the season.
too much confidence doesn’t help. thanks Fulham ))

  164. Drew Vader says:

Hell yeah Kings, I liked that too. He didn’t dive you prick, so get your scouse mits off him.

  165. Drew Vader says:

I agree Costas, it took 60 mins, but we finally saw some fire in Ronnie today. Hope that can spark him on for the run in. It ain’t over yet lads!!!!

  166. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    @Marq

he was called the next totti in italy when united bought him

  167. kev says:

what an impact he had in the end :D

  168. costas says:

gotta hate tiny tears i thought that was Petrucci.

  169. corea says:

We played the final minutes with Macheda-Wellbeck partnership )

  170. Manu says:

The title of the blog should change to Today’s the Day for Macheda!!!!!!!! :D

  171. costas says:

Danny could have been the hero as well.So unlucky.

  172. Mahesh says:

yep costas – that was petrucci (the new totti)…but by the sounds of it, Petrucci is as quality, if not more, than Macheda…which sounds great for United’s future!

  173. knightsmith says:

A Big Black Cloud Has Gathered Over Benefit City!

  174. Cid says:

    Any youtube links?

  175. Tony Starks says:

Wow! That is why we love this game!
Respect to Ronnie.. He sure made up for his cock up earlier.. That is why u need players like that..

  176. Tony Starks says:

By the way seeing Petrucci play in youth teams and reserves I will be shocked if he doesnt become a superstar in the next 2 years…

  177. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    costa your right

    sorry

  178. costas says:

Cid or anyone else who wants to see it:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctiTtvcZ9Jo

  179. costas says:

It’s ok tiny tears.I couldn’t tell them apart either.Until today that is.MAcheda might never realise what he has done.I had never seen us in such a rut in 8 years. This might be a season turner.

  180. micheal says:

what a great comeback, I was saying to myself it’s a mess which it was we cannot paper paper over the cracks, at times we were a disaster, but the reality is Ferguson has to relook at the attack of united, and say when next season comes around we don’t look toothless in attack next season. united have to win the league this year so united can reshape our attack because ronaldo tevez are not certain to stay, berbetov is not worth a cent of 30 million pounds and he may need to be moved on in the summer, nani seems to be getting worse and giggs is not getting any younger, park is not threatening enough on the wing and tosic is an unknown because he has not played enough games, so it’s a big summer for united to try and get players from other area’s who will give united more balance and penetration in attack so we look a more threatening outfit.

  181. stevelancs says:

Was sat with my housemates and said that this boy would change the game round…

I’ll be honest, im not gonna let it go for a while.

then came on here and found that you had been singing his praises too, yet another great call Scott

  182. Tony Starks says:

    micheal? cheer up man

  183. RedHaryy4Life says:

Just though i would ask a wee question.

Does anyone think that the FSW would have the balls to send on a 17yrs old that has never played in the 1st team on for his debut in a mmatch as vital as that?

  184. Red-Manc says:

    fucking get innnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Always have faith in our youth, Macheda played really well when he came on and scored a great goal to win it (im sure your all aware ;) ) and Welbeck came on did ok and could of got a goal himself a few minutes before if it hadnt been for a great stop by brad YSB friedel. The future is looking very good indeed.

United top of the league United United top of the league :)

  185. gotta hate tiny tears says:

RedHaryy4Life united where 2 -1 down with the man of the moment and wellbeck up front

no way the fsw would have the balls to do that

  186. Marq says:

I mean Macheda looks like Totti as in physical looks, his side view looks much like Totti.
Anyway, we ended the match with not 1, but 2 kids up front!

  187. roadwy says:

good shout on the lad macheda GET IN!

  188. wazza says:

Kiko is not a player like Totti, Petrucci is. Kiko is more a poacher like RVN & his finishing is like RVN too.huge credit must go to 20LEGEND & his reserve staff.so many of the reserve players have made their debut this season & done well.

  189. RedHaryy4Life says:

    gotta hate tiny tears

Was on the floor yelling my fucking head off. Absolutely wonderful. The scouse bastards not have a youth system. Since The yellow submarine, what has come through their system? Sweet fuck all.

IMO Petrucci is a better player couple years younger but looks pure class.

Ravel Morrison local lad looks a real gem also but he is only 16. (maybe next years Champions league final wiiner form him )

THe FSW said it wasn’t personal. Fuck him it is.

God how I hate those scouse bastards

    COME ON YE REDS.

  190. boolman says:

I hope this win will bring a smile in our players and staff and make their mood relax. They all looked down after the second villa goal. Macheda!!!He has fire in his blood!!!A true RED DEVIL!!!! And oh, someone please tell me what the fuck is going on with Carrick? he is playing like shit!!!

  191. Ekesi from Nigeria says:

“Macheda” a name so good it sounds like Manchester.
    Tevez has a lion’s heart.
@ Drew Vader: Carlitos is a warrior, did u see when he dive dangerously low to recover a ball he lost possesion of. I say we keep Tevez and axe Berbs to City for serious quid

  192. NicoQB says:

The pro-Tevez bias here is getting ridiculous. To quote my friend Dan:
Lets see, £32mil for a striker that tackles with his head? or kiko macheda scores goals for free, hmmm

  193. micheal says:

    Tony Starks
yes I know but we have some tough games coming up and we cannot play like that, the attack for me has to be reassessed in the summer because there is that lack of invention in the attack, like another winger because nani is not getting any better and tosic has hardly been giving a game and park lacks quality that makes him an ok winger. the striker situation must be looked at because united can still do better then berbetov and tevez at times. I still believe we could sell berbetov for a good price and get a striker who is threatening inside the box.

  194. NicoQB says:

    @ Gotta hate tiny tears:
Here’s a song for your daughter, courtesy of ReddevilEddy (we lot camp at redrants)
    “Que Sera, Sera” tune

    KIKO MACHEDA!!!
    SCORES WINNER LIKE CANTONA
    THEN KISSES THE KAMERA
    MANCHEDA, CHEDA…

And me I thought of this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNQuJm67OzE
    Kiko, Kiko! Because, Kiko!
Not much in terms of lyrics, but very easy to catch ;-)

  195. micheal says:

    NicoQB
marceda is still learning his trade dont now say he should play every week, tevez only came back friday so it was no suprise he did not score.

  196. John Ferry says:

The cat is out of the bag, and i guess it is now ok to criticize bervatov. He is simply not the right fit for the squad. Great player in his own right, but not the type of forward we need.

  197. OTRed says:

So Scott, tomorrows lottery numbers? what do you say?

  198. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    NicoQB and ReddevilEddy

shes asleep now but it will be done tomorrow

  199. RedDevil says:

Thank the lord(sir Alex) the day young Macheda took to the field and made his impact felt with an injury time winner against silly villa cant wait to see him come on again because i am sure he will light the stage once more because with a winner like that he deserves another shot this season to show its not a flash in the pan but indeed just a glimpse of what he can do for the World Champions

    Glory Glory Man United!!!

    and well done Kiko…..

  200. NicoQB says:

    @ Gotta hate tiny tears:
You’re actually going to do it! haha, that’s great! I’ll be waiting for it! :D

  201. Gman says:

    Dear diary

Today i fell in love with a 17 year old italian football player

  202. manutdforever says:

The final piece in the jigsaw was Macheda and not Berbatov. He was amazing yesterday and the best thing is he is an out and out striker which we needed desperately.I really hope that he plays a big part for us in upcoming games.
And as for Tevez i really give a bow to his attitude and will to play for united. After coming from Argentina just 2 days before he was up and running for us covering every inch of grass.Just loved the passion when he covered 3/4th length of the ground to get the ball back to us.SIGN HIM UP NOW.
It was really great to see ronaldo pumped up and showing the burning desire to play for us.It will really be shit if he leaves us for Madrid.

  203. gotta hate tiny tears says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tt7k11_QOI

here it is NicoQB just for you

    sing it today

    sing it louder tomorrow

  204. Rik says:

Kiko . . Theres only one kiko! (in the melody of the old keane song) Please!!
