I tend to disagree, as i would have had by far more respect for Ronaldo, if he had publicly come out last summer, and said “YES” i want to sign for Real, but i have spoke with SAF, and we have agreed i will give my all for one more year at OT, then i will be making the move.
IF he had done that, we wouldnt have had the saga all last summer, all this year of “Will he, Wont He??”…. thats whats pissed us all off..especially with coming out with statements “I am happy here, I stay here, this is the right club for me”… etc etc…
If he would have had the decency to have been straight with the fans, then im sure he would have had a fantastic reception from the fans, and would have got a fantastic send off… but instead he acted devious…and in all fairness… the club has been devious to the fans… coz if they knew that this deal was in place for 12 months, and SAF and Gill kept repeating he wasnt for sale… then surely they lied to us as welll.

I don’t think there has been a deal all season. I don’t personally believe Fergie would have agreed to have made such a deal and I don’t think he would have come out with the Virus comment if there was a deal. I also think that maybe Ronaldo was expecting us to not agree to sell him so was expecting another season with us.
Infact I feel that if Calderon was still at Real we would have refused to sell to them. I think it was to change to Perez who is a little more respectful that would have changed their minds. Certainly for someone attached to Real he seems to know what to say and how to atleast seem like he isn’t acting all high and mighty which has seemed to help him get the players he wants.

The Club agreed to pay the option price of £25.5m and offered Carlos a five-year contract which would have made him one of its highest paid players.

This will reduce the competition but they are also bringing in Santa Cruz. Infact with their options I’m not sure Tevez fits in well, I could see him losing out to Bellamy as Bellamy gives that energy but with some pace. And Bellamy could be played out wide in a front 3, where as Tevez is only really effective as part of a 2 uptop.
I predict he will have less minutes on the page over the season at Citeh than at United. And then I’m going to laugh

I would be hesitant to sign another Argie. Many of those we have seen in the EPL have had serious attitude issues (Tevez, Heinze for us, Mascarano at Liverpool now, Crespo at Chelsea). The only Argie that jumps to mind that seemed to have a good attitude was Veron. Sadly he just wasn’t suited for the EPL
