i think if we can improve the conversion rate of chances created in to goals....then its not goin to be a problem....but as of now...for me even if we play our full strength team...im little worried...as we r not converting the chances..in to goals...

Yes there is no guarantee in football....as in life. But the chances would be GREATLY ENHANCED KNOWING YOU HAVE BETTER PLAYERS AND A BETTER TEAM THAN YOUR OPPS ( if they played). Which ofcourse utd have

Even if Utd do play their "big boys", there's no guarantee that they would "swat" Spurs away. In the two games thus far this season, Spurs have held their own well against Utd's "big boys".

I'd like United to win the Carling Cup, as it would be a good confidence booster for the entire team. Winning the cup in 2006 gave the players who had entered the team since our last FA Cup win a nice taste of success. So it will be good to give to the younger lads in the team.

Scott, great job on the site. RoM is a daily must read for me and great time pass here at the office!

I want the team to win this badly.

1. silverware
2. success
3. players confidence
4. continue momentum
5. Cant lose another domestic final...nowt worse. And SAF has lost 3 lge cup finals and we ve lost the last 2 fa cup finals...which were a travesty.
6. i cant live to see another team go up and take a cup and celebrate and pick up the shampoo and medals. AND To see our players suffer i CAN NEVER TAKE THAT.
7. not to mention the media hype ready to blow up thier own created quadruple bid and have thier digs and pops at us.

Hence even though some may mock the carling cup....i feel this a vital rung and stone to buil and go for bigger things. Which means i want us to win at all cost. A cups a cup....AND MANCHESTER LIVE ON RECORDS, SUCCESS AND TROPHIES.

Spuds are going to field their strongest line up..as they and chelski always do...Unlike us or the gooners. They ve been resting players since god knows when and see this as their biggest game ever and ofcourse their only bloody chance of a cup. Hence they re up for it and will be hard to beat and will field a full strength prem team.

What im trying to say is...this aint easy ask chelski. Ofcourse our big boys would swat them away. And yes welbeck gibbo nani etc deserve their place due to playing in every round etc etc etc and they deserve that taste of a final. I do not FOR ONE MINUTE WANT THAT TO COME AT THE EXPENSE OF A DEFEAT AND LOSING A CHANCE AT A CUP.

Sorry for being selfish....but id rather SAF put the big boys out...swatted spuds away and THEN gave a taste to the kiddies.

We cannot take this game lightly...or else they 'll anoint redknapp as the next FALSE saf KILLER. Ala that big mouth in italy. Managers living on a myth

Indeed. But, as I said, Spurs have already performed pretty well against Utd twice already this season. And overall, their form against the top teams has been quite impressive. Two draws against Arsenal, a draw against Chelsea, a draw against Utd and two wins against Liverpool.

Scott in October of 2004 he was still at Portsmouth. He went to Southampton at the start 0f 2005.So he wasn't manager when Southampton visited us that season. The Southampton manager in that 3-0 win was Wigley. Here are the reports:

http://www.4thegame.com/matchcentre/premiership/reports/160152/pfcmufc.html

http://www.4thegame.com/matchcentre/premiership/reports/162879/mufcsfc.html

Not that it makes a difference. In that 2-0 loss we missed many chances and went behind through a dubious penalty which was punishment for the one Rooney got against Arsenal. So even though Harry doesn't have a glorious record against us as some would like to believe,he can frustrate us at some very pivotal moments.
